See the transparent hypocrisy everywhere. My latest in PJ Media:
President Trump’s executive orders to build a Mexican border wall and to place a temporary ban on immigration from seven hotbeds of jihad terror have the national and international Left — and its jihadi allies — in an uproar.
How dare he move to protect American citizens?
French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said, during a meeting with German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel, that both countries were “concerned” about Trump’s immigration policies:
Welcoming refugees who are fleeing war is part of our duty … his decision can only cause us concern.
A “duty”? According to whom? Wasn’t protecting Ayrault’s own citizens from jihad terrorists known to be entering France among the “refugees” his duty? All of the jihadis who murdered 130 people in Paris in November 2015 had just entered Europe as refugees.
France apparently found jihad less distasteful than vetting refugees; France now has the option it chose.
Mayor Michael Müller of Berlin pontificated:
We Berliners know better than most the pain caused when a whole continent is split by barbed wire and walls. … I call on the president of the USA not to go down that road to isolation and ostracism.
Müller’s statement has been widely circulated and greeted with joy — among the clueless Left, which is acting as if it opposed the Berlin Wall when it was up. They did not.
Remember?
Ronald Reagan declared: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”, and they recoiled in horror.
For the young leftist millennials, apparently there wasn’t time in high school to learn about East Germany. They were instead learning the U.S. was founded by white male slave-owners and has a history of oppression, racism, and imperialism. Today’s self-righteous Left largely doesn’t know or care that the Berlin Wall was constructed by a totalitarian Leftist government to keep people in, not out.
The mayor of Berlin — he, of all people, should know better — is putting globalist Leftism above the safety of his own people.
Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani jumped in on the phony Berlin Wall theme, too. Rouhani tweeted:
Let’s help neighboring cultures, not build walls between nations. Let’s not forget what happened to the #BerlinWall.
Unlike the Berlin Wall, Trump’s wall is simply a national security initiative. Perhaps Rouhani, whose regime has ordered its citizens to chant “Death to America” every week in their mosques, shouldn’t have helped create a security threat. With his tweet, note that Rouhani has an obvious vested interest in opposing any step the U.S. takes to defend its citizens.
According to CNN, Iran says it now will:
… ban all U.S. citizens from entering the country in response to President Donald Trump’s executive order limiting immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries.
Who else already had a Spring Break flight booked to Tehran? Guess I’ll hit my second choice, Mogadishu.
While Iran has a great history, as I explain in my book The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran is so repressive and authoritarian — and so hostile to the United States — that American citizens would be foolish to go there.
People who have family in Iran will be hit by Iran’s ban, and that is unfortunate. But there is a grown-up choice to make here — we’re choosing between death and inconvenience. We can inevitably admit terrorists to the United States, or we can inconvenience good people for a temporary period. France chose the former.
Others to be hard-hit by Iran’s new ban are the likes of Carl Ernst, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill pseudo-academic. His work on Islam is so whitewashed, so fawningly apologetic, so complete in its denial of the jihad doctrine and Sharia oppression, that he was given an award in 2008 by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — the genocidal anti-Semite who was at that time president of Iran.
Ernst happily flew to Tehran to accept. The incident was emblematic of how much American academia has degenerated.
The Iranian government’s statement said Trump’s ban was “an obvious insult to the Islamic world and in particular to the great nation of Iran.” Why is it an “obvious insult to the Islamic world” when the U.S. takes steps to defend itself from jihad terrorism? Because any defensive move taken by a non-Muslim entity is always seized upon by Islamic supremacists and jihadis as food for propaganda, which they produce when calling the defensive move an “unprovoked” act of aggression….

It is really unbelievable. I have been watching CNN website. Their main web page is almost totally covered with travel ban stories. As if, this is the end of the world. In fact, you have to really look for other important news like the Sunday evening Quebec terrorist attack. CNN seems to have totally lost it.

Hello JW I forced myself to listen to Glen Beck for a few minutes as he rambled on about our need to involve our lives in immigration, way too long to write on here but I’ll try; Greece has a real dilemma according to Beck, Greece has solved the problem though by setting up two immigration camps, one camp is for the peaceful Muslims and Christians that supposedly get along with Christians and don’t murder them, the other camp is for those Muslims who murder Christians and other Muslims who murder all people who don’t think like them, Why in Sam’s Hell is there a dilemma? could not these fools stop the murderers from entry or deport them. Beck has really changed a 180 or I never knew him, as the adage goes this isn’t Rocket Science at all, actually immigration is supposed to be for the betterment of the country not just for the immigrant

Concerning the attack on the mosque in Quebec, the NYT provides us with some insights…
Canada’s warm embrace of Syrian refugees has won the country accolades at home and abroad, but it is not without its domestic opponents. A survey in Ontario last summer found that while there was widespread support for accepting the refugees, only a third of respondents had a positive impression of Islam, and more than half felt that its mainstream doctrines promoted violence.
This is the first time I heard any statistics about Canada – only a third of respondents had a positive impression of Islam, and more than half felt that its mainstream doctrines promoted violence. This is very encouraging.
However, this idiot didn’t do any good for the cause…
The increasing tension led a member of Parliament, Iqra Khalid, to put forward a motion in the national House of Commons in December calling on the government to condemn Islamophobia and request a study on how the government could combat the trend. The motion is expected to be voted on when the House returns to session this week.
For sure Trudeau is going to rush ahead with Sharia blasphemy laws using this for am excuse. This is very, very worrisome.

Idiotic leaders such as Merkel are desperately kicking up sand by pointing to Trump. Their policies failed their citizens and they need to get the spotlight away from them. And while there’s an anti-Americanism pervasive in the whole spectrum of European politics, and some people here would be against America out of principle, regardless of whomever won the last Presidential election, that won’t stop shrewd politics of advocating measures similar, in nature, to Trump’s, regardless of what themselves think of America.

The Arab countries have been employing permanent (not temporary) ban on Israelis since 1948, also they ban any person (of any nationality) whose passport was stamped by Israel in the past. The Arab countries also has the habit of banning the nationals of other, not friendly, Arab countries. This has been going on since the existence of the Arab countries, so why there was no rage in the Western media?
For example, Saudi Arabia banned all the Iraqis after Saddam invaded Kuwait, also they banned the Jordanians. They even deported all the Yemini community from the country because Yemen and Jordan sided by Saddam.

But Saudi Arabia is not banning Israelis because they consider them a threat, but just because they are “filthy Jews” who stand up for the idea that Jews should live free of Muslim oppression.

The German and French ministers are brain dead idiots. Why are they concerned about another country’s affairs when they have sacrificed their own country for the sake of multi culturism. Me, being German, the only thing I am concerned about is that Trump might believe that what our idiotic politicians present is the average normal German opinion. It is not. So many of us are so glad that he won the elections. We know that he spared us a war with Russia which seems to have been Hillary’s passion.
If there is anything I wish, I would wish to tell him that there are many Germans very proud that America has such a president with German roots and heritage.

Hi Chrissie, I lived in Germany 1980’s for seven years and after visiting my son Fall 2015 in Austria (he on exchange program), where we visited my old neighborhood in Germany, I came back and subscribed to Die Welt and have read it everyday since. It all unfolded before my eyes, random Islamic extremist attacks….on trains, in airports, on the streets of Munich, and Nice, and the big one in some ways – the sexual attacks on young women in Koln on New Years Eve 2015 and other similar attacks simultaneously in Europe. Everything changed and everyone scrambled to make sense of it, to not blame or arrest immigrants, to hide the fact that they were not prepared to respond seriously because this had never happened in this way.
Sorry to drone on, I voted for Trump in many ways because of what I have witnessed happening in Europe. He is going at his job at a blistering speed. Hail to the Chief!

There may well be “many Germans” who are sincerely glad that Trump became President. But are there enough to vote Merkel out at the next elections ? And stop the “politically correct” slide into national suicide if it isn’t already too late ?

You *can* tell him. Write him a letter! Or just send a postcard. Or two postcards. One to the White House. and the other to the American embassy in Germany.
Say, on that postcard, exactly what you just wrote here. Suggested wording, “Dear Mr President, I want you to know that many of us in Germany are very proud that America has elected a man such as you, who has German roots and heritage. You are bringing honour to your forebears and inspiring your cousins in the homeland to rise up and resist the Global Jihad. You are giving us hope and showing us what can be done to defend our countries. Danke Schoen. Yours faithfully [name and signature'”. Something like that.

My letter in today’s jpost.com:
Dear Editor,
I read with dismay that many prominent Jews and Jewish organizations find it offensive that President Donald Trump issued his ban during Holocaust Remembrance Day. In my opinion, one could not pick a more appropriate occasion.
President Trump recognizes in a stark and morally centered way the threat posed by Islamic terrorism.
He has referred to suicide bombers with obvious emotion as “rats.” Indeed they are, and hooray for President Trump! Seeing as Jews are Enemy Number One of the people Trump disdains and wants to exclude, his action is one that protects Jews from possible harm. The appropriate reaction should be one of gratitude and relief that we finally have a president who takes Jewish, and American, security concerns seriously.
-Sincerely yours,
Jewdog

Incidentally, any *Scots* here present – especially anyone with Clan McLeod connections – who wish that their provincial Scots authorities, and the authoritis in Great Britain as a whole, would take their cue from tne new POTUS and start pushing back against the Jihad, especially against the Hijra of Muslim males of military age that is flooding in from ‘Syria’ (and everywhere else in the whole damn dar al Islam, it appears) – could do the same. Send the new President of the USA a postcard from Scotland, and say how proud you are that somebody with Scots ancestry, *somewhere*, is stepping up to the plate. Encourage him to stand his ground, and keep on keeping on.
dumbledoresarmy says
I meant, by ‘do the same’, do the same as I just advised a German poster above, Chrissie, to do, who expressed her pride that a man with German ancestry is acting with courage and integrity, as POTUS.
Trump’s mother was born in the Isles of Scotland. If you’re Scottish, let him know that *some* of his old-country kinsmen understand what he’s trying to do, and why, and are cheering him on.
All jihad-resisting Scots should be pleased and proud… and *inspired*. Surely you must have an incipient Scottish resistance building. Keep looking, keep networking, keep educating… and pray like blazes… there may be someone – or more than one – already in the landscape that you’re all overlooking, to start doing for Scotland what Trump is trying to do for America.

In America the concepts of self defense and national borders somehow got lost over the last 15 years. So now, as they are reintroduced, it is quite a shock to the younger generation. They grew up on the “everyone is equal” and “anyone should be able to come to America” pablum. They became so engrossed with identity politics that they forgot about their own.

As European I am very much in favor of this ban, as it is mainly a political sign to demonstrate to the Middle East that there are consequences for the quiet and more often not so quiet official support of jihadis and radical islam.
However, the fact that Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Pakistan are not on the ban list leaves the impression that just those failed states of economic insignificance were chosen. Especially Saudo Arabia should be banned, too!

YES. Well: write to the new US administration. Say to them exactly what you have just said in your post. That you are in favour of the ban, that you understand what it is for, and… that you would like to see it applied consistently and across the board, to the worst offenders, namely, SAudi Arabia, Egypt and Pakistan. And Qatar, too; dont forget Qatar, nasty, ugly little Qatar. And Turkey!
Encourage America to set an example that your *own* governments can then be pressed, by their concerned citizens, to follow. And… ask, pretty please, for Turkey to be removed from NATO. They are nothing but a liability.

After Trump’s act, those who have previous visa expired less than 48 monthes ago, did not need to pass the interview, and just get new vise easily.

We live in interesting times. I hope and pray that I am wrong. I hope and pray that the mass immigration of Muslims to Europe will not lead to the soft (at first) conquest & dihimitude of Europe.
I hope and pray that US Muslim immigrants and citizens are and remain peaceful & productive. BUT the way to bet is that “the race is to the swift, the battle to the strong”.
I.E. Common sense seems a good idea especially if we are to learn from the evidence already before our eyes.
So it seems to me that we are at war, though many do not yet realize it. Our enemy is political Islam allied with the leftist media, and the leftist political machine (often funded by the likes of Soros).
So STAY STRONG, SUPPORT OUR ELECTED PRESIDENT. IGNORE THE MEDIA. He may just save Western civilization and our Judeo-Christian underpinnings.

I was attacked as a racist and bigot yesterday at work, for stating that Pres. Trump should expand the list.
The person attacking me was unable to follow my argument that anyone following an ideology established by a man like Mohammed, and who is expected to emulate such a man, should be treated with deep suspicion at the least.
I thought it was fairly simple:
Compare the values of Adolf Hitler and Mohammed.
Then consider whether it’s appropriate to consider Hitler to be the perfect man, or to follow his words and actions.
Just because Islam adds some religious Mumbai-jumbo doesn’t change its message, or that it’s based on the ravings of a hateful and violent man. And in my opinion (which will never change), those who accept such messages be shunned.
