Turkey nightclub jihad murderer made grim selfie video in Istanbul

Jan 5, 2017 4:33 am By Robert Spencer

He may have been scouting for targets for a future jihad massacre.

“Turkey nightclub suspect in grim selfie video in Istanbul,” by Dusan Stojanovic, Associated Press, January 3, 2017 (thanks to Thomas):

ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkish state media aired new footage on Tuesday of a man believed to be the gunman who killed 39 people at a nightclub, showing a grim selfie video of the suspect as he circles Istanbul’s most famous square.

The camera never leaves the man’s unsmiling face as he walks through Taksim square, one of Istanbul’s prime tourist spots, during the 44-second video broadcast on state-run Anadolu television and other media.

It wasn’t immediately clear if it was filmed before or after the New Year’s massacre at the Reina nightclub, or how the footage was obtained. The gunman, who hasn’t been publicly identified, is still at large.

The Islamic State group claimed the attack on Monday, saying a “soldier of the caliphate” had carried out the mass shooting to avenge Turkish military operations against IS in northern Syria….

At least 14 people have been detained in connection with the attack. Two foreigners were detained at Ataturk airport’s international terminal on Tuesday after police checked their cellphones and luggage, according to Anadolu.

Hurriyet newspaper said that a woman identified by Turkish media as the wife of the massacre suspect has told police she didn’t know her husband was an IS member.

The woman was detained in the central town of Konya as part of the investigation. Neither she nor her husband has been identified by name. Hurriyet said on its online edition Tuesday that the woman said she learned about the attack on television and told police she didn’t know her husband harbored “sympathies toward” IS.

Media reports say the gunman flew to Istanbul from Kyrgyzstan with his wife and children on Nov. 20. From there, they drove to the Turkish capital, Ankara, before arriving in Konya on Nov. 22.

The family rented a studio in Konya, paying three months of rent upfront. The gunman told the real estate agent he had arrived in Konya in search of work, according to the report.

Hurriyet said the gunman returned to Istanbul Dec. 29.

Several media outlets on Monday, citing unnamed security sources, said the man was believed to be from Central Asia and may have been part of the cell that staged a June attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport that killed 45 people.

Haber Turk newspaper on Tuesday said the man is thought to be a member of China’s Muslim Uighur minority. A Kyrgyz passport circulated on Turkish media but police said it did not belong to the gunman.

The nightclub assailant, armed with a long-barreled weapon, killed a policeman and a civilian in the early hours of 2017 outside the club before opening fire on the estimated 600 people inside. The establishment is frequented by famous locals, including singers, actors and athletes. Most of the dead on Sunday were foreign tourists….

Let’s see, now…They don’t know who the guy is, but they have a selfie video of him and have detained 14 of his friends!!!

Who is actually buying any of this!?! Another case of the lying media!!!

At least Muslim Countries hold on to their suspects family for questioning. Unlike Loretta Lynch who made sure we let go of Mateen’s wife in Orlando to assure she could escape to Saudi Arabia and evade questioning that would have exposed more of the Orlando cell.

The Caliphate owes a great debt to Obama for all he did for them in America and abroad. A community organizer that did nothing during his entire 8 years and is now ramping up his scorched earth agenda in the last month of his reign. Lets see if he “abstains” again from vetoing any further resolutions in Paris on January 15th on Israel.

There is more in Nigeria, Kaduna State to be precise. Some Muslim Fulani herdsmen came around to southern Kaduna that is predominantly Christians and killed over 800 . The Nigerian Fed government has thus far been silent about this

C’mon. Which of Erdogan’s personal security detachments did this guy belong to? The Solaks? The Bostanji? Or was he one of those liberal-democratic pro-western Syrian Fighters that we trained and armed(gag)?

There are too many detachments, I really don’t know which one .. But it was funny terrorists was able to pass 3 police check points through Reina which is not possible under normal conditions?

There are only 30% secularist and Ataturk supporters left, if you do anything against islam in Turkey, the best chance you will get arrested if not killed.

A coward only acts when they know they are secure. That is the face of a coward who is unable to square up with his chosen targets and then back stabs everyone in his path and runs away. That’s jihad, that’s cowardice and worst of all (ad naseum) is that they slip inside so easily.

    Somebody explain something to me:

How do they have a “selfie” video of this azzhole, and still tell us they don’t know who he is or anything else about him?

This doesn’t add up. I’m beginning to think that the perpetrators of the major jihadi attacks are all on the payroll of George Soros, etc. and the “refugees” just use the opportunity to fill in around them.

Look at this man closely. He really does look like a gorilla. Maybe a Neanderthal. Certainly not like a modern human. The evolution of Muslims seems to have stopped around the seventh century.
