Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Establishment propaganda media crows that Kellyanne Conway “made up” terror attack to justify Trump’s ban

Feb 3, 2017 9:22 pm By Robert Spencer

It was an honest mistake, but the establishment propaganda media doesn’t allow those it hates to make honest mistakes. That generosity is reserved for Barack (“57 states”) Obama and Joe (“When the Depression started, FDR went on TV”) Biden, and the like.

Does Zack Beauchamp think that he has now discredited the idea that Muslim refugees have committed jihad terror attacks? Well, let’s see. In 2016 alone, there were these: Somali Muslim migrant Mohammad Barry, who in February 2016 stabbed multiple patrons at a restaurant owned by an Israeli Arab Christian; Ahmad Khan Rahami, an Afghan Muslim migrant who in September 2016 set off bombs in New York City and New Jersey; Arcan Cetin, a Turkish Muslim migrant who in September 2016 murdered five people in a mall in Burlington, Washington; Dahir Adan, another Somali Muslim migrant who in October 2016 stabbed mall shoppers in St. Cloud while screaming “Allahu akbar”; and Abdul Razak Artan, yet another Somali Muslim migrant who in November 2016 injured nine people with car and knife attacks at Ohio State University.

What’s more, all of the jihadis who murdered 130 people in Paris in November 2015 had just entered Europe as refugees. But, but, Kellyanne Conway made a mistake!

“Kellyanne Conway made up a fake terrorist attack to justify Trump’s ‘Muslim ban,” by Zack Beauchamp, Vox, February 3, 2017:

In an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews that aired on Thursday night, Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway managed to get two huge things wrong in a short, 19-second answer. First, she said that the Obama administration banned Iraqi refugees from entering in the United States for six months in 2011 — which is flatly untrue.

Second, and more significantly, she made up a terrorist attack committed by Iraqi refugees that never happened — the “Bowling Green Massacre”:

Joe Sonka @joesonka

.@KellyannePolls says that 2 Iraqi refugees “were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre.”
(There was no such massacre.)

9:34 PM – 2 Feb 2017

Joe Sonka is, to be clear, 100 percent correct about this. There has never been a terrorist attack in Bowling Green, Kentucky, committed by Iraqi refugees.

Conway claims that “most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.” Most people don’t know about it because it didn’t happen.

Where Conway is coming from (I think)

In 2011, two Iraqi refugees, Waad Ramadan Alwan and Mohanad Shareef Hammadi, were arrested in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on federal terrorism charges. Allegedly, they had been plotting to send money and weapons back home to Iraqi insurgents.

During the investigation, the FBI found something worrying: fingerprints from Alwan on a roadside bomb in Iraq. This suggested there was a very specific flaw in America’s refugee screening process: Databases of fingerprints from Iraqi militants were not well-integrated into the broader State Department–run refugee admissions process. As a result, the Obama administration initiated a new review of all roughly 57,000 Iraqi refugees who had been recently admitted into the United States.

This process was manpower- and time-intensive, and resulted in a significant slowdown in Iraqi refugee admissions to the United States for six months. But it was not a ban, as Conway, Trump, and many in the conservative media claimed: Refugees from Iraq entered the United States in all six months….

And, Ms. Conway later apologized for the errors.

UNLIKE HILLARY CLINTON, BEFORE THE FIRST DEBATE, SHE WAS NOT GIVEN THE QUESTIONS TO BE ASKED, A DAY OR MORE IN ADVANCE, AND HAVE AN AIDE TO BE ABLE TO TELL HER THE ANSWERS.

She is a human, and not a machine. AND, WHEN DID THE MEDIA DISCOVER THE ERROS? DID THE ONES WHOSAID SHE WAS WRONG KNOW INSTANTANEOUSLY-WITHOUT HELP?

I DOUBT IT. Screw the lame strema media

The two Iraqi “refugees” in Bowling Green were arrested on charges related to terrorism–and they were also convicted of helping al Qaeda carry out attacks on American troops in Iraq.

They did not carry out a massacre in Bowling Green itself–but there were involved with murdering Americans.

An error on Kellyanne Conway’s part, yes–but not nearly so egregious a one as the MSM pretends.

So everytime trump and his suck-o-phants make a mistake, or spew alternative facts, it’s an honest mistake!! Only one side makes honest mistakes, and only the other side makes pre-determined mistakes!!! Propaganda, misinformation, disinformation, spin, alternative facts, and double-think>>ALL RULE EVERYONE!!!!

It doesn’t matter what the liberal media howls about. In the court of public opinion, the people, by a majority like the ban. And that is the only one that really matters. I expect Trumps approval rating to steadily rise throughout the year. It started at a low base and only has one way to go…up.

I would like to say to Mr Allah says that Mohammed Barry is from Guinea, but he is there as a Somali Refugee. people do this in order to be considered as real refugee. they adopt a country that they know its people will be easily accepted as refugee due to the situation in that country, and for Barry there is nor war in guinea or political problems, so the only way Barry is considered as a Somali refugee is because he have proclaim Somali as his country. so Stop talking craps, there is no riddling in intentional lies. I was a refugee too I was working to help refugees integrate into communities, so I speak from experience. concerning Robert he is just fine where he were supposed to be, not too far not too close but at a right place. telling it as it is. did you know that Muslim don’t like a very knowledgeable person especially who knows more on their religion. YOU PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO FIGHT TRUMP WITH PROTEST ACTIONS EVERYWHERE BUT WHEN MUSLIM JIHADIST TERRORISTS BOMBS AND KILL PEOPLE HERE AND THERE, YOU DONT GO OUT TO MARCH AND PROTEST AGAINST THEM. WHY? fear of being killed by them. so let someone who is not scared to fight the do it for you. and I believe that is Trump. you like him or not but I believe he is shaking things around this time.

Well, a successful politician in Holland said that “Democracy (in practice) is not for the fainthearted”. Meaning opponents play for real, mince no words, are out to get you. And keep you sharp. In a functioning democracy.

The Trumpteam, incl. Kellyanne, has a much tougher job than, say the “Putin-team”. Who just censor the opposition, with laws AND violent intimidation. Domestically that makes them much less “tested”. But it is the Trumpteam that plays fair and is the tougher one, while the Putin-team (and such teams) cheats, and is the more cowardly, in my opinion.

Democrat adoring Corrupt Lib Media is eyeballs deep in the blitzkrieg attacks on Trump. The Obama cabal still imbedded in the bureaucracy. These are sick ideologues with only loyalty to their party, none for the American people. They have no respect that the voters decided to make Trump their president. These are the same people who don’t have a problem destroying property like the Berkley campus or NYU.

Conway put in something and it was inaccurate, she got dragged thru the mud for it and fair enough. But what about all the other talking heads, what about their en masse inaccuracy?

I was disappointed about the never-happened “Bowling Green massacre.” I’m not an adviser to the president but I know there never was a Jihad in Bowling Green. This subject is too important for presidential advisers to be making mistakes. I see that mostly JW is giving her a pass, but as a presidential adviser she’s held to a very high standard and should be.

Being interviewed- and asked questions- and needing answers off the top of her head- and so she made a mistake. AND APOLOGIZED FOR IT- AND CORRECTED HERSELF.

Let me paraphrase George W. Bush, to Barack Obama- ( very close to the exact wording)- I made mistakes. You will also.

I beleive it was Williams Shakespeare who said ” To err is human”.

She made a mistake. The terrorists were arrested in Bowling Green- would they have had a massacre there if not arrested? I do not know. Would they have wanted one-probably.

I DON’T RECALL LIBERALS AND ISLAMIC “LEADERS” AND “SPOKESMEN” APOLOGIZING FOR THEIR ERRORS.

Nor do I recall Obama, Kerry, H. R. Clinton apologizing for their errors.

        • Terry says

          Feb 4, 2017 at 2:12 pm

I forgot to mention- Kerry, Obama and H R Clinton have been in government service for decades- yet the press HAS ALWAYS GIVEN THEM A FREE PASS.

And ms Conway, trying to register her children in PRIVATE SCHOOLS- WAS TURNED DOWN, BECAUSE SHE IS A REPUBLICAN. ( minor blurb on a radio station, ignored elsewhere). IMAGINE THE OUTCRY OF A PRIVATE SCHOOL TURNED DOWN A BLACK DEMOCRAT. NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT

Hypocrisy of the left and media has no bounds.

Conway claims that “most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.” Most people don’t know about it because it didn’t happen.

An unfortunate wording on her part. I believe she was making a point: “migrants” or “refugees” caught with links to terrorism receive very little coverage on the media because it goes against the narrative.

  15. SDN says

    Feb 4, 2017 at 10:20 am

Thank you for this very informative post. People pretend there has never been a terrorist attack committed by Muslim immigrants in the US when all 5 of your examples prove this to be flatly untrue.

I think however we should altogether drop the word “migrant”. We use to say more specific words like “immigrant”, “asylum seeker” and “refugee” but now we call them “migrants” just to lump them together.

    • mach37 says

      Feb 4, 2017 at 4:11 pm

The distinction between refugee, immigrant and being raised by immigrant parents seems to be a flimsy distinction, when it comes to Muslim terrorism. Being under the influence of Islamic teachings seems to be the only necessary ingredient when it comes to violent attacks by those of the Muslim persuasion.

I am really getting tired of the comparison of Christian fanatics with Islamic fanatics; Christian fanaticism is entirely the result of very rare non-mainstream “evangelicals” who are known to be unstable, There is simply no comparison between the percentages of Christian violence and Muslim violence.

  16. Carolyne says

    Feb 4, 2017 at 10:52 am

How many people know that the Ft. Lauderdale airport murderer was a Muslim convert? That’s one that the press seems to have mostly overlooked. I think that Ms. Conway, while wrong on the location was stressing that many of the terrorist attacks committed by Muslims are not covered by the left-wing press. The attack is covered, but the perpetrator is not identified as a Muslim Jihadist.

    It is a valid point.

Kellyanne could apologize around the clock, and it wouldn’t mean a thing to the Leftists. All they need is anything to crow about, or to protest with violence or property damage. They already have the names or reasons on their complaint lists and they’ll keep up their outlandish activities until they break laws.
Then, they must be arrested and prosecuted. Arrest and prosecution can be a very interruptive issues in their lives, enough to teach them by example.

  19. Geppetto says

    Feb 4, 2017 at 1:23 pm

Honest mistake or not, prominent Trump administration spokes persons need to be extremely careful about what they say in public. The Left are eager to pounce on anything said but, most especially when what is said is in any way, inaccurate. The default Leftist media view is that the so called Alt-right aka Republican aka Conservative “establishment” are evil incarnate. This is a classic case of projection, the accusers hurling epithets and ad hominem, violent attacks at their opposition aimed at blaming them for doing what they themselves are manifestly guilty of. That the source of this mass insanity may be what is inculcated in the malleable minds of students in America’s colleges and universities is extremely troubling and, if true, will take a generation or two to be corrected…..after the correction process begins in earnest.

  20. mach37 says

The Trump ban will not be a total ban, as demonstrated by allowing entry of Iraqi translators who helped US forces before their removal in 2011. As vetting occurs, people from those ‘banned’ countries will be approved entry during the ban.

Just my take, but playing “gottcha” at this level pettiness is a sure sign that the LibWit Propaganda

    Machine is running on empty.

Reminds me of the Elite Fashion Designers who couldn’t imagine anything looking elegant on Melania

    Trump.

You really have to wonder how much these people get paid to say things like that.

Whatever it is, it’s not enough!

One really can’t say things like this and expect to continue getting paid for it, as though people wouldn’t

    catch on, after a while.

Sakovkt–I think people caught on a long time ago.

The election results AT THE LOCAL LEVEL prove it.

ACCORDING TO GOOGLE–NOT NECESSARILY THE MOST FAVORABLE TO TRUMP SITE IN THE UNIVERSE.:

There are 3,144 parishes (LA) and counties (other 49 states& DC) in the US.

Trump won a PLURALITY OR MAJORITY IN 3,084 OF THEM ( again, as per Google). that is a shade over 98%.

Take away (as per WSJ) 5 or 6 counties in the NYC & L. A. cal area, and Trump won the popular vote, also.

As to -sorry for the language- but cannot think of any other term) lefties are- A BODEGA ( small grocery, often Hispanic owned; most also usually serve sandwiches) in Manhattan, IN AN AREA THAT WAS ABOUT 10% TRUMP, 90% CLINTON, CLOSED IN PROTEST OF THE BAN FROM THE SEVEN MUSLIM NATIONS. THAT IS HOW FUCKED UP, THE LIBERAL MIND IS.

      ( my views).
