The Obama administration in the U.S. was, and the Trudeau administration in Canada still is, bent on cultivating a delusional “peaceful” relationship with the rogue, terrorist-funding Iranian Islamic regime. They have a blind spot that prevents them from comprehending the obvious, that Iran has no problem in being deceptive. Iran does not have any interest in truth or peace.
Now that Trump has openly expressed his support for Israel, including the Jewish state’s right to sovereignty over its own country and his administration’s intention to move the US embassy to Jerusalem — a move he has every right to make — Iran is yet again showing its true colors, issuing nuclear threats despite its longtime “assurance” that its nuclear buildup was for domestic purposes. Ali Akbar Velayati, an advisor to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated”
Iran will continue to test its capabilities in ballistic missiles and Iran will not ask any country for permission in defending itself.
What “defending itself” means can be more accurately stated as: if Israel and America make decisions that do not facilitate our growing regional and global powers and state jihadist thuggery, we will play victim and threaten you with nuclear attacks.
Trump has stated, without mentioning Obama by name:
Iran has been formally PUT ON NOTICE for firing a ballistic missile…Should have been thankful for the terrible deal the US made with them!”
“Islamic Republic of Iran: ‘We Are the Strongest Power… America Should Be Careful!,'” by Justin Holcomb, Town Hall, February 2, 2017:
The Islamic Republic of Iran is becoming blatantly hostile towards the United States.
Ali Akbar Velayati, the man who advises Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made it clear on Thursday that Iran has no plans of slowing down its nuclear program and threatened the United States if any further actions are taken.
The aide to Iran’s supreme leader ripped an “inexperienced” President Donald Trump and assured the world that his country would continue ballistic missile testing.
“This is not the first time that an inexperienced person has threatened Iran,” Velayati said. “Iran is the strongest power in the region and has a lot of political, economic and military power … America should be careful about making empty threats to Iran.”
“Iran will continue to test its capabilities in ballistic missiles and Iran will not ask any country for permission in defending itself,” he said.
President Trump has released several messages over the past 24 hours, including a message that put Iran “on notice.”….
