Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

EU Parliament lifts immunity from prosecution for Le Pen for tweeting images of Islamic State violence

Mar 3, 2017 10:40 am By Robert Spencer

The EU parliament decision “marks the difference between those who denounce and fight Islamist fundamentalism and those who want to hide the atrocities.”

Indeed. The EU is desperate to hide the atrocities, particularly as the results of their suicidal immigration policies are becoming crystal clear to everyone. These corrupt authoritarians may be able to shut down those who call attention to these atrocities, and they may be able to persecute Le Pen, but they will not be able to hide the truth forever: their policies are blowing up in their faces, a phrase that is becoming more literal by the day.

“EU Parliament lifts Le Pen immunity over gruesome tweets,” by Samuel Petrequin, Associated Press, March 2, 2017:

PARIS (AP) — The European Parliament voted Thursday to lift the immunity from prosecution for French far-right leader Marine Le Pen for tweeting gruesome images of Islamic State violence, a crime that carries up to three years in prison in France.

The legislature voted by a broad majority in Brussels to clear the way for the possible prosecution of Le Pen over tweets she made in December 2015 showing executions, including the killing of American reporter James Foley by Islamic State extremists.

French prosecutors in the city of Nanterre had asked lawmakers to lift the immunity that Le Pen enjoys as a member of the European Parliament.

Le Pen, a leading candidate in this year’s French presidential election, posted her tweets in response to a journalist who drew an analogy between her anti-immigration National Front party and IS extremists. She was trying to show the difference between the two groups but the effort backfired, drawing widespread condemnation.

Le Pen took down the tweet showing the killing of Foley after his family protested, but left up another image of violence by Islamic State extremists.

Under French law, publishing violent images can be punished by up to three years in jail and a fine of 75,000 euros ($78,800).

Before the vote, Le Pen on Thursday defended her tweets, saying she just wanted to condemn the barbaric practices of IS, also known as Daesh.

“I’m a lawmaker. I’m in my role when I condemn Daesh, this is my role,” she told French TV station LCP. “And if I don’t fulfill my role, I’m worth nothing as a lawmaker. Nobody can prevent a republic’s representative from condemning Daesh’s acts of violence.”

Her campaign manager, David Rachline, denounced the lawmakers’ actions.

The EU parliament decision “marks the difference between those who denounce and fight Islamist fundamentalism and those who want to hide the atrocities,” Rachline said….

Macron said he would not comment on Le Pen’s situation, then added “fortunately our national and European institutions are not losing their common sense.”…

It’s not common sense. It’s naked authoritarianism.

“EU Parliament lifts Le Pen immunity over gruesome tweets”. Every day the EU and the like minded teach me how stupid I am. I still don’t understand what “immunity”means in practice if it can be revoked after the fact. It makes some sense to me to revoke tjhe privilege of “immunity” as kind of punishment to prevent repetition of the “fact”. Isn’t “immunity” meant to prevent exactly the kind of policitcal harassment that we see now ?

I am not sure if this is right, but it seems to me in revoking her immunity they cannot prosecute previous actions, but are seeking to quell her actions from this point on.

      Good point, Alien.

Obviously immunity is only guaranteed to those who hold the “right” – that is, left – opinions…

      – And it appears that more and more, the European Democracies are only extending as far as its subjects abide by the opinions of those who rule.

Le Pen as a leader would go a long way toward taking care of her country from the rampant ongoing Islamization of Europe.

They want to charge and imprison Le Pen to take care of her.

We’ll keep her in our prayers…

EU elites have suppressed the truth about ISLAMIC TERRORISM, even though such images are recruiting tools for ISIS.

There is at the core of Islam a visceral appeal to be freed from moral restraints that is part of Islam’s appeal to young men. They fantasize about the genocidal criminality they will commit without being morally condemned for it.

EU elites allow the GENOCIDAL JIHADISTS to be free from MORAL CONDEMNATION. The EU elites are mentally disordered.

Huh, why? Isn’t intent taken into consideration? Isn’t intent the difference between an ISIS supporter twetting an image and saying “let’s do this!” and a law enforcement agent twetting the same image and saying “this is what we’re fighting against”?

French prosecutors in the city of Nanterre had asked lawmakers to lift the immunity that Le Pen enjoys as a member of the European Parliament.

I presume Le Pen sees nothing wrong with this, seeing how she supposedly wants EU influence out of French courts…

Describing is not prescribing or condoning, this clearly is. NOT. hate. speech. We have to know what we are up against and display the differences between us and Islam (ad naseum). It’s the same here in the US as not recognizing the root problems of Islam: strict, stifling, neo-Nazi, authoritarian, lefty, scum sucking, globalists do not want us making distinctions. We are all the same unwanted mass to them and obviously care nothing of the plight of people suffering at the hands of Islamic refugees and full on filthy jihadis. It does not serve them to care only to SAY that they care.

Globalist Liberals are hard at play trying to supplant Marine Le Pen as they are trying to invariably to supplant Trump’s cabinet. Godspeed Le Pen!
McMaster is part of the council on foreign relations as is KT McFarland and other Trump staffers. Sessions is a loyalist as is Bannon and so was Flynn.
I might be wrong about McFarland’s supposed stern view of Islam. She may have a natural resistance to Shariah because she is female and has spoken out against it more than once. I hope that her disdain for shariah outweighs any loyalty to the CFR.

She is a Nazi! Doesn’t anybody read WE European newspapers? Including French ones. LePen, just Like Wilders, Stork & Petry, etc., they are all Nazis! Just read the newspapers. They include even Donald Trump.

As far as your political & psychological ‘analysis’ about Merkel is concerned: No, she’s not mad. Neither is Trudeau. For the hatemongering pis..pot brains among you: No, she doesn’t want a Muslim army to get rid of the Jews in Europe.

Neither does Trudeau for Canada want a Muslim army to….

Do you pathetic Nazi screamers really think that Soros wants a “Jew free Europe”, or Canada?

Merkel receives him privately, so does Trudeau. BTW, Merkel is actually Jewish, so is Soros. So, how does that fit in with your hatemongering bull? Also, what about Anetta Kahane, she too is Jewish, and of course, lovely Barbara? Listen to her: https://youtu.be/8ERmOpZrKtw

So, how does that tally with your hatemongering Nazi shrieking?

Incidentally, Merkel & Co. followed Hollandes example. Procedures have been launched against Frauke Petry (Leader of the AfD) for perjury. Evidence? As much as in Marine’s case – none.

But you know, it’s election year.

PS: I hope you recognized that my post above, to which you have responded, was **sarcasm**. Though, I hasten to admit, my sarcasm is degenrating more and more into pitch black humor. Can you blame me?

She is a French patriot as I am. We did fight German when they came either Nazi or not. We did fight Mohamedan in 722 AD.

We believe that our country is our home and we should not be force to share it with other nation without a referendum.

I don’t understand what Nazi means for you. But we French don’t remember them as good people and got a bad memort of them.

They were not however as bad as the Mahomedan can be. They let 10 years for the Jew to leave Germany (Jews were Lithuanian). The Mahomedan started to genocide us at Oran just a few month after the independance.

We have no plan to be outbreeded and to end up like the Armenian.

Do I understand correctly? LePen, a French citizen, is a member of the European Parliament, and is (or was) immune from prosecution by France for violation of French law, because the EU had and has now removed an immunity provision. And under French law, there is no trial by jury (?), as in the US, and functionally, though maybe not officially, there is a presumption of legal guilt, where the accused must prove the law was not violated, or the law violates basic rights, instead of the state having to prove guilt. Does the prosecutor also serve as the judge at trial, as in Italy? Sounds like a prefect kangaroo court. “Don’t cross the Boss?”

Generally there are 2 systems of law in most of the world, except those under Sharia, Common, originating in 1066 by William the Conqueror, and Civil, spread by Napoleon (Code Napoleon). What US citizens take as basic rights when accused of crime, is substantially different and more limited in European countries under Code Napoleon. Adolph Hitler would be pleased at the suppression of free speech being carried out today. Perhaps a review of the UN documents and EU documents could disclose some embarrassing contradictions regarding human rights. These treaties could override legislation that contradicts their terms, much as the US Constitution limits and overrides contrary legislation by either the federal government or the states..

The reality is hideous, the isis crimes should not be protected…..to aid the killers….to lure the population into danger by aiding the deception of the peaceful falsehood. No violent movies in the EU? If not that is good….but movies won’t be dangerous, ignorance could kill you and eventually overtake you and change your culture. If they are conducting darwah in the streets, threatening the civilians…allowed to recruit to do the damage you want to hide. It make no sense.

The EU hates le Pen. This move is a ludicrous attempt to make le Pen shut up. Pointless. They may as well throw a paper bag full of water at her.

  17. Anne Smith says

    Mar 4, 2017 at 5:52 am

The point of this attack on Le Pen is not to downplay the evil nature of ISIS, but to enable the French prosecutors to drag her to court and – they hope – put her in jail, thus removing her from the French Presidential election.

Only by getting her out of the contest can they hope to cut off the threat which she poses to the continued existence of the EU – which she will bring down if she can. The EU is fighting for its very survival and the Facebook posting is simply a means by which they can strike at her. I don’t think the nature of Islam or any argument about it enters their reasoning – it is an attempt to get rid of Le Pen from the political arena.

“Not losing their common sense?” Is he serious? Common sense was lost the minute the EU was formed and sovereign nations gave their countries to a bunch of gnomes living it high in Brussels and Vienna. The French people rose up against tyranny before, do they have the courage to do it again?

  20. Peter Buckley says

It should never be allowed by backwards people to be considered “illegal” to accuse these criminals (muslims) of their crimes, allegedly because the painful truth might offend them or hurt their feelings, and so “make” them commit even more crimes!

No problem was ever solved by ignoring it, and we aren’t doing even any of these muslims (whose own ancestors were among Muhammad’s first victims) any favors by going along with any of their historic lies and alibi excuses for their crimes.

To advocate for suicidal masochism as the highest moral virtue, while also claiming the only real crime is to hurt the feelings of and offend criminals by accusing them of their crimes, outs any and all progressive liberal apologists for islam as massively treasonous criminals themselves!

  22. UNCLE VLADDI says

Removing her immunity retroactively after the fact is a clearly illegal politically-motivated violation of all historical traditional Western legal norms.

Uncle, ex post facto laws stink. Some nations prohibit them; some permit them; and some just look the other way. Wikipedia has a fair article on the subject. In the US such laws are prohibited by the Constitution. BUT that did not stop the ex post facto adoption of the Nuremberg Rule abolishing the defense of superior orders as part of the Treaty of London, creating the UN, was ratified, I believe in August, 1945, after Germany surrendered, but before the Nuremberg trials. I believe that effectively the Constitution was changed by the adoption of a treaty, a really dangerous opportunity to sidestep the normal process.

It is disgusting to have both countries and administrations that do not see limitations in “governing” documents, like the Constitution, as effective on them. But where is the EU in this picture? What past act do they want to define and punish as a crime today? Washing dirty clothes?

I am sure many will remember a recent statement by BHO: “The future does not belong to those who slander the prophet.” In the US slander is 1 of 4 types of defamation under the law. Slander is spoken; Libel is written; Disclosure of private facts and Intrusion into the seclusion or expectation of privacy. Truth is an absolute defense to claims of slander and libel; but not to Disclosure and Intrusion. Those claims are defended by showing the facts are not private or that there is no expectation of privacy.

For example quoting Islamic documents truthfully is also disclosing statements that have no expectation of privacy. But that is US law. Islam takes a different view that saying anything unfavorable about Islam, even if it true, is slander, with the usual Islamic punishment to follow. To think that BHO taught Constitutional Law in Chicago-What constitution was he teaching?
