Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Greece: Guns and ammunition discovered in mosque, imam arrested

Mar 29, 2017 3:52 pm By Robert Spencer

One might almost get the idea that some people in the mosque were planning some violence, rather than peacefully devoting their time to pacifically studying the book of peace. But that would be “Islamophobic.”

“Guns and ammunition discovered in Xanthi mosque,” Neos Kosmos, March 29, 2017 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Police seized guns and ammunition from a mosque in Xanthi on Tuesday, after authorities were tipped off reports ANA-MPA.

In the mosque located just over an hour-and-a-half away from the Turkish border in the village of Iliopetra, police found a .22 pistol, a .38 pistol with a silencer, and a Flobert hunting rifle along with thirty cartridges.

Following the raid all findings were sent to the Forensic Service’s laboratories in Athens, and the imam was arrested for the possession of illegal weapons and to be questioned over the matter….

      This.

Islam has no place in Greece.

Unfortunately, Greece was under the Islamic heel for centuries.

Greece bravely fought for her freedom, and gained it in the 19th century. That she is now allowing hordes of Muslims to enter shows how much the West has forgotten her history.

          Mar 29, 2017 at 8:55 pm

No, GI… the Greek revolutionaries committed a COMPLETE GENOCIDE of all Muslims living in the territories they conquered. All Muslims were systematically murdered in mass genocides. The revolution would have failed without the support of France, Germany and Great Britain and their navies and weapons. The Ottomans also committed many genocides, but two wrongs do not make a right, do they? You have a typical romanticized impression of the period based on flowery propaganda disguising the vicious historical facts of stone-age savagery. ‘BRAVE’? Genocide is not ‘brave’, but despicable crimes against humanity.

But Mortimer, how else do you fight islam? Otherwise Greece would now look like modern day irak, Greece with no Greeks.

From what I remember it wasn’t a complete genocide, there were population transfer agreements that sent the remaining Muslims to the Ottoman empire and brought Orthodox people from the Ottoman empire to Greece because both sides saw that as the most peaceful way forward.

As far as whether it was brave or not well it’s much less cowardly than what most of Europe is doing at the moment.

In the mosque place of peace found weapons? May not be true, will have been the Pope Crusader Rome to hide them, Muslims do not know the violence. Have the Koran, which is a book of peace and the Muslims have never done any harm to anyone until today and in the past 1430 years.

Of course, these pious Muslims have no interest in fighting ISIS–most of them are in agreement with what ISIS stands for–which after all, is just mainstream Islam.

I find it tragic that the countries which have strict gun laws disarm law abiding citizens, who carry a gun to defend themselves from savages like moslems. Moslems are above the law, it seems. It’s called moslem privilege. Sadly, there are a lot of Kumbaya liberals who defend them.

  8. Paul N Silas says

    It looks like a 9mm Glock, not a .38. .38’s are revolvers.

I was under the impression that all mosques stored weapons. In places like Gaza, they fire artillery and rockets from them and when our troops were fighting the Jihadists in Iraq, they often used them as a fort/bunker.

Not all weapons that fire a .38 round are revolvers.

  9. Ed Lee says

    Mar 29, 2017 at 4:37 pm

I have no problem with them having firearms. It’s how they use them that counts. A bad guy with a gun can only be stopped by a good guy with a gun. I’ll wager that you could find a far greater number of guns and ammunition in many churches here in the United States. Arm yourselves. Refuse to be a victim.

    • gravenimage says

      Mar 29, 2017 at 7:28 pm

A lot of Christians have arms in the United States, certainly.

But your idea that Churches in America are stockpiling weaponry is *very much* mistaken.

      • Ed Lee says

        Mar 30, 2017 at 12:02 pm

I didn’t say stockpiling. But, if churches aren’t strategically placing firearms within their structures, for quick access in case of an attack, they are being naive and foolish. My advice stands. Arm yourselves. Get proficient. And especially, refuse to be a victim.Submitting to any demand from Islam is interpreted by Muslims as a weakness to be exploited.

We are told that Islam is peaceful. Why does it matter if there are guns in a Mosque? Surely, the peaceful Muslims will not use them to kill Kafirs, will they? Very confusing.

Greece: Guns and ammunition discovered in mosque, imam arrested
    …………………

I wonder what bloody Jihad they had planned? Glad the Greek authorities caught them in time. But now Greece is overrun with Mohammedans, and there will be many more cases like this one.

  13. dumbledoresarmy says

    Mar 29, 2017 at 11:37 pm

I wonder how many known mosques there are in Greece?

Probably not as many as in, say, the UK or Australia.

But now might be a good time for the police – and the *army* – in Greece, a country where there would be few or no Muslims within said police or army, to surprise-raid and search *all* known mosques… and shut down, and raze to the ground, any in which weaponry was found. Or drugs. Or counterfeit cash. Or inexplicable stashes of *real* cash. Or – use sniffer dogs! – traces of *either* explosives or illegal drugs or the chemical precursors for same.

  16. pat says

Never trust the press to know shit about guns. The rifle is a .22 long rifle, single shot. Rimfires are call Floberts in continental Europe. The small pistol might be a .22, but it appears to be a .380 ACP known as a 9mm corto in Europe. The 9mm is the most interesting. It is a Glock or a Glock knockoff with a sound suppressor. In Europe that gun means nothing but serious trouble. It is a Federal offense in America unless you have permit (expensive but doable), in Europe it is jail. It is the only gun in the bunch that raises a red flag.
I am going to say all of these guns were turned in to the Imam by parishioners and he kept them instead of throwing them in the ocean.

    • RichardL says

      Mar 30, 2017 at 5:59 am

The 9mm pistol is not a Glock: it has a serrated frame. It is might an ASA: Austrian Sporting Arms, but it looks more rounded than the models I know.

The silencer is indeed the remarkable thing: I have never seen one in Europe. Greece has weird gun laws and law enforcement is Greece is sketchy. It might even be legal to have a silencer.

  17. August West says

    Mar 30, 2017 at 3:26 am

    That is a lame arsenal.

    Not sure about the rifle.

If that 9mm is a glock it has the wrong mag. That not certainly not a glock mag.

    The .380 looks like a sig p238

At most there is 150 rounds of ammo.

By comparison in my safe there are….

    Glock 30 .45
    Glock 19 9m
    Glock21 .45
    Springfield 1911 .45
    S AND W .357 magnum revolver
Century arms AK 47 semi auto
    Colt 5.56 carbine semi auto
    Colt 7,62 carbine semi auto
    Rem 870 tactical shotgun
    Mossberg 930 semi auto shotgun

That is just what I feel like typing.

And over 10k rounds of ammo

    That Greek mosque is lame.

Lord knows what will happen if the Greek govt proceeds with building the mosque in Athens! What a total disgrace..all the revolutionaries will be turning in their graves!!! Greece is the only capitol in Europe that does not have a mosque except for a few on the far north Greek – Turkish border…..Greece has always born the brunt of threats from the East since time immemorial….it was the Greeks (thanks to the Spartans who lead the coalition against the vast Persian empire in the battle of Thermopylae and the battle of Plateia) who were the bulwark of Western freedom and civilisation)……The Greeks were under the Ottomans for 400 years and are still being threatened by Erdogan…what do you expect them to have done..lie down and take it!!!!
