Why is this the case, and why is it the case year after year? Might it have something to do with these teachings?
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or the Last Day, and do not forbid what has been forbidden by Allah and his messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are of the People of the Book, until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Qur’an 9:29)
Muhammad said: “Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war…When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them…. If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them. (Sahih Muslim 4294)
Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Eritrea and Yemen. Trump’s ill-fated travel ban included six of these countries, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Yemen, plus Libya. How racist.
“EDITORIAL: Christian persecution keeps getting worse,” The Gazette, March 4, 2017:
When President Donald Trump told the Christian Broadcasting Network in January he would give Middle East Christians priority refugee status, he was sharply criticized for religious favoritism and prejudice. Even a few high-profile American Christian leaders questioned his judgment.
Trump’s executive order on refugees did not mention Christians, but referenced religious “minorities.” That means mostly Christians, Shi’a Muslims and Yazidis.
A recent report by Open Door USA, a nonprofit research firm, identifies 2016 as the “worst year” for worldwide Christian persecution since the organization began monitoring human atrocities 25 years ago.
“Christians throughout the world continue to risk imprisonment, loss of home and assets, torture, beheadings, rape and even death as a result of their faith,” the report stated.
Open Doors documents evidence that says about 90,000 Christians were killed for their faith last year. More than 200,000 experienced religiously motivated violence or persecution.
An earlier report by the Italy-based Center for Studies on New Religions also estimated 90,000 Christians were murdered for faith around the world in 2016. Study author Massimo Introvigne called Christians “the most persecuted religious group in the world.”
A year ago March 14, Congress passed House Resolution 75 by a unanimous 393-0 vote. The resolution recognizes as “genocide” the persecution of Christians, Yazidis and other religious minorities by ISIS.
A week later, then-Secretary of State John Kerry said “Daesh” (ISIS) “is genocidal by self-proclamation, by ideology, and by actions.”
This week, Pope Francis released a video asking for prayers for an end to Christian persecution. The pope said Christians are “killed, burned alive, throats slit, and beheaded with barbarous blades amid cowardly silence.”
The Open Doors report found North Korea tops the list as the most dangerous places for Christians. Somalia comes in second, followed by Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Eritrea and Yemen.
The irrefutable evidence of Christian persecution, mostly at the hands of Muslims, led to outrage last year when data from the State Department Refugee Processing Center revealed only 0.5 percent of 12,587 Syrian refugees admitted to the United States in 2016 were Christian – a total of 68. Sunni Muslims comprised 98.2 percent and Shi’a Muslims totaled only 20, or 0.15 percent.
Christians, Yazidis and Shi’a Muslims are victims of what the Obama administration identified as a widespread religious genocide of religious minorities throughout much of the Middle East and Northern Africa by Isis and other Sunni Muslim extremists….

Isn’t it time we started addressing the “Cause” rather than the symptoms of “Radical Islamic Terrorism’? Why is no one in government, media, etc. not pointing out (criticizing) on a persistent daily basis on multiple fronts the fact that over a billion and a half Muslims every day pray 5 times, prayers which include words that denigrate Jews, Christians, and anyone of any other faith or non-faith which is not Islam? Why is no one calling out the practice of teaching their children, like Pavlov’s dogs, to memorize the Koran, the pages of which are rampant with hatred? Isn’t it time we all got real and called a spade a spade and stopped trying to be diplomatic? We don’t have to spew hatred ourselves. We just need to point out the facts to the world around us. Then and only then are we going to facilitate the reform of Islam. The long history of Catholicism and Protestantism is replete with reform from Galileo to pedophilia. But, as with any disease, one must treat the “Causes,” not the symptoms. Please join with me in copying and pasting the above words on as many websites as you can. They are not my words. They belong to someone else who said not to use his/her name. They said they were not seeking any credit or recognition. They just wanted to do something to try to take some action to solve the problems that Islam has created for our planet.

And why isn’t anyone angered by American support of so called “moderate” terrorists? Also why doesn’t the truth about the destruction of the Middle East by the US, the UK, France and NATO come out? Why doesn’t anyone connect the dots? After all when one superpower decides to destroy a number of nations all at once, of course there is going to be pushback and revenge attacks. Also where do you think the flood of desperate refugees in Europe came from? Why are they ruining many European countries? Ask the US, that denies them refuge ,after destroying their homelands and leaves it up to America’s friends in Europe to take care of them and suffer the consequences. With so called “Friends” like the US you certainly don’t need enemies!
Terry says
And if not for the US- THE POOR EUROPEANS WOULD ALL BE DEAD OR SPEAKING GERMAN.
And the US, besides its blood for the Europeans, also SPENT (PRE-INFLATION) BILLIONS TO REBUILD THE ECONOMIES INFRASTRUCTURE AND AND INDUSTRIES OF EUROPE, AND PAID FOR THEIR DEFENSE.
An d few of them EVER PAID A DIME BACK. JUST SCORN.
And, (as two examples) France had TENS OF THOUSANDS OF MUSLIMS LIVING THERE, SINCE BEFORE AND DURING WW2- FROM ( WHAT WAS) FRENCH NORTH AFRICA.
AND GERMANY TOOK IN THOUSANDS OF TURKS, TO DO SUCH MENIAL LABOR AS COLLECTING THE GARBAGE, AS THOSE JOBS WERE BENEATH THE GERMANS.
Britain took in the Pakistanis- they were from “The Commonwealth”. (And, I don’t recall the US starting or doing anything in Somalia, other than trying to settle-and this was in the 1990’s- tribal warfare; nor am I aware of a war-that the US had any part in, in Pakistan or Bangladesh.

First and foremost, this is sad news. Sad and disheartening. The US government clearly is supporting the wrong group of “huddled masses.”

Jesus Christ prophesied about those who would follow Him: “in the world, you are having tribulation. But take courage. I have conquered the world.”
He also told Christians **why** there would be tribulation. “On this account, the world hates you, on account of my name. It has hated me before it hated you.”

alex9234 says
“Communist and islamic countries are the most dangerous places to be a Christian in, and the “educated” left refuses to publicly discuss it?” – Not just the left, but when it comes to one certain country – China – the Shoebats (Walid and Theodore) refuse to discuss the persecution of Christians there. I’m not kidding, they support China despite the fact that China is one of the worst offenders when it comes to persecuting Christians.

Muslim savages didn’t change much over the centuries. Tuks used to torture Christians in the Ottoman empire despite paying the tax. They would skin people alive, cut open the belly of pregnant women, throw in the air new born babies and when they fell they fell on a sward. Few people in the west noticed this. Most didn’t care living their selfish lives. So the west never learned from the history of other nations. If they knew the truth and if they were in their right mind they would never allow a single muslim in their countries.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
There can be no connection between the scriptures of Islam and the behavior of Moslems, otherwise it we would’ve noticed by now. For example, just this week we learned on TV that there is no rape problem in Stockholm. That crazy talk is just Islamophobia is all.

I’d also wager that ten out of ten most dangerous countries in the world for atheists are Muslim.
And you can bet your bottom dollar that ten out of ten of the most dangerous countries in the world for Muslims are Muslim.
There appears to be a common denominator doesn’t there.

I read that in the past for instance the rulers of Persia were very suspicious of Christians in their empire because they suspected that these would have more affinity and loyalty with the Christian Roman Empire than with the Zoroastrian Persian empire. So the Shahs at times persecuted Christians.
Something like that I can understand in part. But such a suspicion should IMO be investigated for the situation of religious minorities nowadays.
Look, there are Christians in Muslim majority countries and Muslims in, well, if not Christian countries, then at least in Democratic countries. What could Democratic Nations investigate about that and where do they go from there?
First of all it is only fair to investigate to whom Muslims in Democratic countries are most loyal to; is it global Islam (or Sunni Islam) or is it country of residence? This also goes for which political system Muslims in Democratic Nations are most in favor of; is it Sharia or constitution, when the two contradict?
Oh, sure, the same can be investigated about Christians in Muslim countries, but I am confident that the minorities THERE are not so disloyal, treacherous and ambitious as average Muslim minorities in Democratic Nations. But maybe that’s just an opinion. Anyway, The Democratic Nations might be willing to take the Christians of the Muslim countries in, until their presence and disloyalty in and for Muslim nations becomes negligible.
But once it should be established that substantial percentages/ numbers of Muslims IN Dem.nations really are most loyal to global Islam, there should be consequences for that. Among those consequences should be the demand for protection of minorities in Muslim nations as good as the protection of Muslim minorities in Democratic Nations.
Now for the first time, with the Trump administration, such a perfectly logical, just demand of reciprocity in treatment of minorities in Muslim and Democratic Nations, seems feasible, on the horizon.
Of course, North Korea is a separate issue. But I hear there are a lot of Christians in South Korea. And they might also want more pressure on the North.
Demsci says
Of course Muslims in Democratic Nations will pretend to be most loyal to their country of residence and it’s political system.
But … there is ample evidence and reason to suspect that very substantial percentages of them are NOT. This IMO constitutes reason for slight diminishing of freedom or religion of Muslims and slight discrimination of them. Because the constitution is not a suicide pact.
And so IMO reasonable conditions on Muslims in Democratic Nations may be imposed within reason. And yes, reasonable monitoring of specifically Muslims who have pledged first and foremost loyalty to country and democratic system seems justified within reason, in order to hold them to that pledge.
If Muslims in Democratic Nations openly commit their first and foremost loyalty to Global Islam and it’s laws then deportation should be seriously considered. Trump is so right; America should not take in those who do not love America and it’s values and political system.
Might such a limited policy not assuage a bit of the fears of the by now many Islamorealists?
