Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Trump refuses to back down on jihad fight; Politico has egg on its face

Mar 1, 2017 12:18 am By Christine Douglass-Williams

Before Trump’s clarification tonight in his first address to Congress that he remained dedicated to combating “radical Islamic terrorism,” Politico featured an article entitled “New NSC chief pushed Trump to moderate his language on terrorism,” and went so far as to suggest that whether or not Trump used the term “ radical Islamic terrorism” in his speech to Congress would be indicative of how much clout Lt. Gen. H. R. McMaster, his new national security adviser, really had. Apparently McMaster has little. This shallow rubbish only showcased what Politico – and other anti-Trump leftist media — have consistently failed to recognize: that Trump has refused to concede to media bullying and/or manipulation.

It was reassuring to hear Trump remain true to his election promise to fight against radical Islamic terrorism. He did not cave in to pressure to maintain the status quo.

President Trump stated:

Our obligation is to serve, protect and defend the citizens of the United States. We are also taking strong measures to protect our nation from radical Islamic terrorism….

Those given the high honor of admission to the United States should support this country and love its people and its values. We cannot allow a beachhead of terrorism to form inside America, and we cannot allow our nation to become a sanctuary for extremists.

Until Trump uttered the words “radical Islamic terrorism” with deliberation, Politico and others made much of the question of whether he would even use those words or back down, particularly after McMaster stated that Muslims who commit acts of terror are perverting their religion. McMaster’s words represented a departure from the stance of other senior advisors in the Trump administration.

Robert Spencer stated in an article when McMaster was first appointed:

There is going to have to be clarification of this from the Trump administration. Is it going to continue the denial and willful ignorance of the Bush and Obama administrations, which under Obama in particular hamstrung the ability of intelligence and law enforcement officials to deal adequately with the jihad threat, as it was wrong diagnosed, and the wrong prescriptions were applied.

Now it looks as if those failed diagnoses and prescriptions are indeed going to be discarded.

“Trump’s Speech to Congress”, New York Times, February 28, 2017:

President Addresses Lawmakers

President Trump spoke before a joint session of Congress.

President Trump on Tuesday delivered his first address to a joint session of Congress. The following is a transcript, as prepared by the Federal News Service.

TRUMP: Thank you very much. Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, members of Congress, the first lady of the United States …

(APPLAUSE)

… and citizens of America, tonight, as we mark the conclusion of our celebration of Black History Month, we are reminded of our nation’s path toward civil rights and the work that still remains to be done.

Recent threats …

(APPLAUSE)

Recent threats targeting Jewish community centers and vandalism of Jewish cemeteries, as well as last week’s shooting in Kansas City, remind us that while we may be a nation divided on policies, we are a country that stands united in condemning hate and evil in all of its very ugly forms.

(APPLAUSE)

Each American generation passes the torch of truth, liberty and justice, in an unbroken chain all the way down to the present. That torch is now in our hands. And we will use it to light up the world.

I am here tonight to deliver a message of unity and strength, and it is a message deeply delivered from my heart. A new chapter …

(APPLAUSE)

… of American greatness is now beginning. A new national pride is sweeping across our nation. And a new surge of optimism is placing impossible dreams firmly within our grasp. What we are witnessing today is the renewal of the American spirit. Our allies will find that America is once again ready to lead.

(APPLAUSE)

All the nations of the world — friend or foe — will find that America is strong, America is proud, and America is free. In nine years, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding, 250 years since the day we declared our independence. It will be one of the great milestones in the history of the world.

But what will America look like as we reach our 250th year? What kind of country will we leave for our children? I will not allow the mistakes of recent decades past to define the course of our future.

For too long, we’ve watched our middle class shrink as we’ve exported our jobs and wealth to foreign countries. We’ve financed and built one global project after another, but ignored the fates of our children in the inner cities of Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit and so many other places throughout our land.

We’ve defended the borders of other nations while leaving our own borders wide open for anyone to cross, and for drugs to pour in at a now unprecedented rate. And we’ve spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas, while our infrastructure at home has so badly crumbled.

Then, in 2016, the earth shifted beneath our feet. The rebellion started as a quiet protest, spoken by families of all colors and creeds, families who just wanted a fair shot for their children, and a fair hearing for their concerns.

But then the quiet voices became a loud chorus, as thousands of citizens now spoke out together, from cities small and large, all across our country.

Finally, the chorus became an earthquake, and the people turned out by the tens of millions, and they were all united by one very simple, but crucial demand, that America must put its own citizens first, because only then can we truly make America great again.

(APPLAUSE)

Dying industries will come roaring back to life. Heroic veterans will get the care they so desperately need. Our military will be given the resources its brave warriors so richly deserve.

Crumbling infrastructure will be replaced with new roads, bridges, tunnels, airports and railways, gleaming across our very, very beautiful land. Our terrible drug epidemic will slow down and ultimately stop. And our neglected inner cities will see a rebirth of hope, safety and opportunity.

Above all else, we will keep our promises to the American people.

(APPLAUSE)

Thank you. It’s been a little over a month since my inauguration, and I want to take this moment to update the nation on the progress I’ve made in keeping those promises. Since my election, Ford, Fiat-Chrysler, General Motors, Sprint, Softbank, Lockheed, Intel, Walmart and many others have announced that they will invest billions and billions of dollars in the United States and will create tens of thousands of new American jobs.

(APPLAUSE)

The stock market has gained almost $3 trillion in value since the election on Nov. 8, a record. We’ve saved taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars by bringing down the price of fantastic — and it is a fantastic — new F-35 jet fighter, and we’ll be saving billions more on contracts all across our government.

We have placed a hiring freeze on nonmilitary and nonessential federal workers.

We have begun to drain the swamp of government corruption by imposing a five-year ban on lobbying by executive branch officials — and a lifetime ban …

(APPLAUSE)

Thank you. Thank you. And a lifetime ban on becoming lobbyists for a foreign government. We have undertaken a historic effort to massively reduce job-crushing regulations, creating a deregulation task force inside of every government agency …

(APPLAUSE)

… and we’re imposing a new rule which mandates that for every one new regulation, two old regulations must be eliminated.

(APPLAUSE)

We’re going to stop the regulations that threaten the future and livelihood of our great coal miners.

(APPLAUSE)

We have cleared the way for the construction of the Keystone and Dakota Access Pipelines …

(APPLAUSE)

… thereby creating tens of thousands of jobs. And I’ve issued a new directive that new American pipelines be made with American steel.

(APPLAUSE)

We have withdrawn the United States from the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership.

(APPLAUSE)

And with the help of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, we have formed a council with our neighbors in Canada to help ensure that women entrepreneurs have access to the networks, markets and capital they need to start a business and live out their financial dreams.

(APPLAUSE)

To protect our citizens, I have directed the Department of Justice to form a task force on reducing violent crime. I have further ordered the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, along with the Department of State and the director of national intelligence, to coordinate an aggressive strategy to dismantle the criminal cartels that have spread all across our nation.

(APPLAUSE)

We will stop the drugs from pouring into our country and poisoning our youth, and we will expand treatment for those who have become so badly addicted.

(APPLAUSE)

At the same time, my administration has answered the pleas of the American people for immigration enforcement and border security.

(APPLAUSE)

By finally enforcing our immigration laws, we will raise wages, help the unemployed, save billions and billions of dollars, and make our communities safer for everyone.

(APPLAUSE)

We want all Americans to succeed, but that can’t happen in an environment of lawless chaos.

We must restore integrity and the rule of law at our borders.

(APPLAUSE)

For that reason, we will soon begin the construction of a great, great wall along our southern border.

(APPLAUSE)

As we speak tonight, we are removing gang members, drug dealers and criminals that threaten our communities and prey on our very innocent citizens. Bad ones are going out as I speak, and as I promised throughout the campaign. To any in Congress who do not believe we should enforce our laws, I would ask you this one question: What would you say to the American family that loses their jobs, their income or their loved one because America refused to uphold its laws and defend its borders?

(APPLAUSE)

Our obligation is to serve, protect and defend the citizens of the United States. We are also taking strong measures to protect our nation from radical Islamic terrorism.

(APPLAUSE)

According to data provided by the Department of Justice, the vast majority of individuals convicted of terrorism and terrorism-related offenses since 9/11 came here from outside of our country. We have seen the attacks at home, from Boston to San Bernardino to the Pentagon and, yes, even the World Trade Center. We have seen the attacks in France, in Belgium, in Germany and all over the world.

It is not compassionate, but reckless to allow uncontrolled entry from places where proper vetting cannot occur.

(APPLAUSE)

Those given the high honor of admission to the United States should support this country and love its people and its values. We cannot allow a beachhead of terrorism to form inside America, and we cannot allow our nation to become a sanctuary for extremists.

(APPLAUSE) That is why my administration has been working on improved vetting procedures, and we will shortly take new steps to keep our nation safe, and to keep those out who will do us harm.

(APPLAUSE)

President Trump is unwavering in his desire to protect America. He will not cave to fear and political correctness.

People “Of faith” will now have to face reality….. Islam is not a “Religion of Peace” after all. It’s Mohammed’s “warlord” totalitarian ideology played out around the world.

Jesus called Muhammed out, before he was even born……

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a FOOLISH MAN who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

Follow his example. Jesus is about unconditional love. I find it interesting that many think Jesus did not allow for protection against enemies

36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
        …
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
        …
49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

And Jesus healed the soldier who was struck with the sword!!

        Well. Since you asked….

He said “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”

        So….

        “A person” could start there!

Be forewarned though. Things only improve…

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

…Mohammed came only to live life for himself. Like his father, he came to rob, steal, kill, and destroy.

Reasuring words, but there was never any evidence Trump was going to revise his views about “radical Islamic terrorism” with McMaster as NS adviser. McMaster is one voice, but others in the administration like Bannon and Gorka clearly hold an differing view. At the end of the day Trump calls the shots.

This whole argument is ridiculous, and it’s not as though any of us have to delve far back in history to search for the lessons we must learn! Every country dominated by islam, particularly in the ME, are little changed from the twelfth century…oppressive, intolerant, violent, anti democratic, and unsafe. They have brought nothing good or positive to the world, unless one counts hate, fear, and death. We look at civilised countries, particularly in Europe, who appear to have convinced themselves they are duty-bound to admit those pretending to be “refugees” and “children”, even while they rape, demand sharia, and riot…demonstrating their intention not to be free of the misery and violence of their own backward countries, but to visit it upon us. This is why President Trump is absolutely right to make a strong stand, since the mainstream media and the left have been allowed to get it so wrong for long enough

Hollywood’s celebs coming up with hostile reactions need to be reminded of the secure environment being ensured only because of earnest Americans defending the country. Without it , none of them would be able to peddle their ‘art’. I read some Iranian film maker “boycotted” Oscar ceremony. Why do non Americans presume America should be beholden to all hostile people & nations around ? What prevents Iran from coming up with its own version of Oscar conferring awards on its own directors??

News flash News flash hot off the presses Politico was wrong!

Of course it is possible that Trump’s comments were the product of moderation afterall.

Is not the term Radical Islamic Extremism the result of moderation?

The adjective Radical and noun Extremism only obfuscate the fact that Islam is the issue.
As Erdogan has said “Islam is Islam and that is that.”

  7. Bill says

    Mar 1, 2017 at 8:55 am

Well, it is a start. Still, McMaster looks like a big mistake. US Soldiers have a Muslim chaplain. The President is talking about almost exclusively about ISIS (i.e. same trap as America believing we only had to defeat Bin Laden).

On a positive note, the President did approve that raid on ISIS, which was successful, despite losing a soldier and someone having informed our enemies of our coming. At least though he is using the words “Radical Islamic Terrorism”. For 8 long disastrous years and even with the Bush family, we could not even hint at the name of the enemy.

If he follows through.and puts the Muslim Brotherhood and, eventually, CAIR on lists of terror organizations that would be a progress too.

The turning point in the Koran is K.9.29 where Allah tells the Meccans they can rob and extort money from non-Muslims. That is the defining moment in Islam.

In K.9.29, Allah tells Muslims they will ever after become PREDATORS and ENSLAVERS with the blessing of Allah.

Trump is becoming better and better informed about JIHAD. Jihad takes many forms: military, verbal (lying about jihad), writing (politics or journalism), financial (money support for terrorists or financial sabotage of West).

Many Muslims who are not military jihadists are performing jihad to undermine the West through other means.

  11. Stan Lee says

    Mar 1, 2017 at 11:46 am

“The religion of peace” has been proved as the enormous contradiction that is has always been.
Everyone of us should finally disown the premise of “political correctness.” The existence of that propagandized term has led to a Germany, France, Sweden that were frozen in the lie to which they convinced themselves. It also overtook the United States, and unfortunately the Socialist Canadian government has invested itself in the distortion that will poison Canadian life.
Islam never was “The religion of peace” and is far from that description given to Islam by people who could not accept reality. “Political Correctness” has caused formerly great nations to diminish themselves, convinced their citizens to blindly accept what really doesn’t exist, and allow status to people or countries, placing higher values in lies and propaganda than in truth.

  12. Voytek Gagalka says

    Mar 1, 2017 at 12:24 pm

Very nice. Great speech. However, let be well know that term “Radical Islamic Terrorism” is contradictory and nonsensical. Are they any “moderate” (that is “non-radical”) terrorists who would not be our worry and worthy complete eradication? Why not just to cut off that rudimentary term “radical” and call it simply ISLAMIC TERRORISM? It is high time to drop that highly confusing PC linguistic mask and call a spade the spade!

Atheist to Zoroastrian must ally our forces from every corner of the world, go into Iraq, Syria and for Gods sake Afghanistan and clean the filth out.

Cut their supply lines from Iran and Sauddi Arabia and dare those in power to defy our will and our forces. Put Americans to work producing or own oil and energy and squeeze opec nations at the U.N, this will pressure every nation in bed with all opec nations.

Assign special watchdogs, moles and prosecutors to every Muslim alphabet soup group in America and wait for them to make mistakes.
The leftys and Barry’s filthy shadow govt have done a good job of exposing themselves for what they are since the election. Jihad and Islam itself won’t be much different, they will protest, howl and use violence like the always do. With the entire world on their sixes it won’t amount to much. Their agents in the press and our govt will attempt to make it look like we are the aggressors. In fact we will be, we will expose them for what they are to win and end it.
In the face of a superior force the enemy will have no choice but to fight and finish it or run and hide in their caves. There is no logical reason to spend trillions of more dollars and mortgage away or future and that of our children. There are plenty of us in the world to make this happen from cooks to mechanics right up to special forces and our top Generals.
Per President Trump, rebuilding our military and infrastructure and becoming more energy independent will see a plan like this through to its inception. We are all sick of those in power using ISIS a boogey man whether intentional or not and seeing children turned into cold blooded killers, enslaved and worse. I’m sick of Islam itself in its entirety, people deserve a choice, the choice that we are given being born into a free nation. Cultural relativism is BS, the ME is a meat grinder and a slave market.

The reason this has not been done yet is beyond me except it has to do with dark dealings of Washington and big world actors with a lot of power and influence that don’t want any change.
Our chief problem really is the enemy using human shields and collateral damage. People who are enslaved by ISIS and every other filthy Jihad group need a path out of their current situation.
Field agents and analysts of all our security forces need to be ready for the explosion of Jihadis escaping to Europe.
Per President Trump again: we have to fight this on our terms, we have been sucked into a 6 trillion dollar quagmire. If this sounds like WWIII are we not already in one? One that has gone on for 16 years? I’m sick of it we need major change in our modus operandi. It’s not difficult it takes massive dosages of courage. If a grunt like me can come up with this imagine what our trained and experianced leaders could do? I’d follow them into hell.
Our President is the best negotiator in America and had the energy to carry this out and a great player makes all the players around him better, that is what real leadership is.
Ask for every able bodied patriot to join in the fight from every walk of life to carry out every task required of an operation this size.
Engage the enemy in a massive frontal assualt.
    Cut their suplly lines.
    Destroy their infrastructure.
Crush their will in the media and on the field. Starve their mind and body.
Pressure any suspected or known players on the world stage to get out of the way or be prosecuted for aiding the enemy or at least be exposed for it.
Insert moles and assign special prosecutors to undermine Islamic special interest groups.
Create and implement a group of moles too infiltrate our enemy and start an underground railroad to help those who are enslaved with a pathway out.

This sounds really bad and it would terrible. How terrible is it that little girls are being raped or burned alive and we don’t seem to have an answer or some attack could occur at any moment anywhere in the West? The middle east and Islam itself don’t have an answer and is itself the problem. Hearts and minds is BS, time to kick their ass with Trump as our leader. Who else would be willing if Trump is not? Where are the great leaders of great moral courage to follow this man up in the next 4 to 8 years? Trump may not do it but if he asks that call will be answered.

    ◄ Isaiah 6:8 ►

There is no such thing as Radical or Moderate Muslim, only Apostate ones, and there is no peace in the Religion of Islam, only a cult of death and ruination….we had better stop this practice of surrendering ourselves to our sensitivities and start acting on our rights to Self Preservation, because we are at war with Islam and despite what you are told, there is no such thing as a MODERATE nor Peaceful Islam…
If you are a Muslim that Practices Quranic, Sharia Law, than you are Devout Muslim. You’re Not a Radical nor have you Radicalized Islam, and you certainly didn’t Hijack the Islamic Faith, You Are in fact a DEVOUT Muslim to your Quran and a loyal follower of your prophet Muhammad.
If You are a Muslim that does not adhere to Quranic Law than you’re an Apostate and many are irresponsibly and dangerously labeling them as MODERATES, of which, they are not. Matter of fact, they are even more dangerous because their actions are the most hidden.
