Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Robert Spencer in FrontPage: The Pope Heads to Egypt to Defend Islam

Apr 28, 2017 8:38 am By Robert Spencer

Catholics take note: his favorite religion isn’t yours. My latest in FrontPage:

Reuters reported Tuesday that “Pope Francis hopes to mend ties with Muslims on his trip to Egypt on Friday but faces criticism from church conservatives for meeting Islamic religious leaders after a spate of deadly attacks against Christians.”

He has to mend ties? After Palm Sunday jihad massacres at two churches in Egypt, shouldn’t it be Egyptian Muslims who are reaching out to him to mend ties?

“A main reason for the trip,” Reuters explains, “is to try to strengthen relations with the 1,000-year-old Azhar center that were cut by the Muslim side in 2011 over what it said were repeated insults of Islam by Francis’s predecessor, Pope Benedict.”

What did Benedict say? Andrea Gagliarducci of the Catholic News Agency explains that after a jihad terrorist murdered 23 Christians in a church in Alexandria 2011, Benedict decried “terrorism” and the “strategy of violence” against Christians, and called for the Christians of the Middle East to be protected.

Al-Azhar’s Grand Imam, Ahmed al-Tayeb, whom Pope Francis welcomed to the Vatican in May 2016, was furious. He railed at Benedict for his “interference” in Egypt’s affairs and warned of a “negative political reaction” to the Pope’s remarks. In a statement, Al-Azhar denounced the Pope’s “repeated negative references to Islam and his claims that Muslims persecute those living among them in the Middle East.”

Benedict stood his ground, and that was that. But in September 2013, al-Azhar announced that Pope Francis had sent a personal message to al-Tayeb. In it, according to al-Azhar, Francis declared his respect for Islam and his desire to achieve “mutual understanding between the world’s Christians and Muslims in order to build peace and justice.” At the same time, Al Tayyeb met with the Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt, Mgr. Jean-Paul Gobel, and told him in no uncertain terms that speaking about Islam in a negative manner was a “red line” that must not be crossed.

So Pope Benedict condemned a jihad attack, one that al-Azhar also condemned, and yet al-Azhar suspended dialogue because of the Pope’s condemnation. Then Pope Francis wrote to the Grand Imam of al-Azhar affirming his respect for Islam, and the Grand Imam warned him that criticizing Islam was a “red line” that he must not cross. And he hasn’t, and won’t. But all those who think that it’s marvelous that the Pope is “respectful” and refuses to “poke them in the eye” should remember: Benedict’s supposed insults to Islam were denunciations of jihad attacks on Christians. Pope Francis won’t be so indelicate. In contrast to Benedict, Francis energetically defends Islam, and leaves the persecuted Christians twisting in the wind, so he is acceptable to al-Azhar.

The worst part about this is the fact that because this man is Pope, all too many Catholics, including some in positions of high authority, treat him as if he were a divine oracle, his every utterance to be revered, respected, studied, and followed. Because of the statement of the Second Vatican Council that “religious submission of mind and will must be shown in a special way to the authentic magisterium of the Roman Pontiff, even when he is not speaking ex cathedra,” and “must be shown in such a way that his supreme magisterium is acknowledged with reverence, the judgments made by him are sincerely adhered to, according to his manifest mind and will,” Catholic leaders and publications tend to think that they must adhere to anything the Pope says about anything.

This leads them into impossible positions. When Pope Benedict XVI appeared to criticize the aspects of Islam that incite and justify violence, they allowed for criticism of Islam. When Francis showed himself to be an Islamic apologist, they became Islamic apologists. All too many Catholic leaders and institutions, in other words, are more interested in being papists than in being truthful. They would rather show loyalty to the Pope, no matter how damaging his utterances, than stand for the truth on the own against the Pope.

The contradiction is clear, and absolute. If the Catholic Church has become one of Islam’s loudest boosters, then those who are aware of the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, rooted in Islamic texts and teachings, have to make some decisions about where they stand.

“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

The Pope put himself in a catch 22 situation. As a Catholic I am not impressed with Vatican 2 teachings nor am I subjected to accept all of the Pope directives. I guess his thinking is to impose peace to protect further killing s of Christians and Jews. I hope his visit was not a waste of time because muslims are so backwards and brainwashed.

If Popes in the past were as much a dhimmi as Pope Karl the 1st is, then we would all be living in the sewer of Islam today.

Both Rome and Islam have a history of killing those who won’t follow them.

Testimonies by those who were burned alive by Rome, who used local police to do it.

When this type of persecution was carried out in the colonies, this was the result.

James Madison was confident that the Constitution was going to be ratified, until he heard that it was opposed by a Baptist group and without their support it would not. So, Madison made a quick visit to John Leland, who was the leader of that group and an agreement was reached that when the Constitution was ratified, he would add the First Amendment, which included the separation of church and state. Why? Because three denominations that came out of the reformation to the colonies persecuted the Anabaptists (Baptists today) who likewise fled the Catholic persecution in Europe. They were not part of the reformation and so the Presbyterians, Episcopalian, and Congregationalists using the local governments in the colonies to persecuted them because they rejected infant baptism and any baptism that was said to bring salvation. Also Anabaptist were told they need to purchase a license to preach. Beaten , jailed and confiscation of property were used against them.

“Separation of church and state” is a phrase used by Thomas Jefferson and others expressing an understanding of the intent and function of the Establishment Clause and Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States which reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

This discussion concerns Islam and Christianity. Not the reformation. Why indulge a 500 year old argument long settled? The Word is the ultimate authority. Yet, as a member of the body of Christ, one should be supremely concerned with a Pope defending Islam.

I wonder if the Pope brought his head with him in the first place?
Or in case: if he will have his head with him, when he heads back to the Vatican?

By doing so the Pope actually helps the cause of Islam, which reminds me with an interesting Islamic explanation for why such things happen:

Muslims use the “Islamic/Arabic” word ‘sakh’ara سخَّر ’ , which means to work as a dedicated slave, to explain all this.

It is when ‘Allah’ makes things/ animals/people/ to do the job for Muslims, just as slaves do, but without being aware of it. For example donkeys and camels do the work for Muslims without being aware of it. Same is true for the Islam defenders in various parts of the world.

Muslims often use this logic to explain why natural enemies of Islam (such as gays, clergymen, communists ..) seem to defend Islam, which doesn’t like them.

It is considered as one of Allah’s blessings to Muslims.

Notable examples in history are Hitler’s holocaust, America’s wars in Kosovo, Bosnia and Afghanistan (against the USSR).

Individual examples are, of course, countless.

That is an interesting observation. I recall the interrogator of I believe KSM when terrorist attacks took place, people became extra super specially nice, even obsequious, to Muslims. (We’ve all seen them/been lectured by them)

Their hope is that Muslims would reciprocate.
This response to attacks was. used as a recruiting tool be terrorists. “Look! We hit them, they bend their knee! Just as promised by our religion. We kill some of them, and others become sakh’ara سخَّر and kiss the feet of Muslims.”

I look at the pope and I see a man who doesn’t know the difference between insisting on peace (“Turn the Other cheek”) and inviting abuse, currying favour with bullies who leap at every opportunity to treat him with contempt. What kind of an example is that?

I see many liberals like that in academia. These are people calibrated for surrender. They cannot be depended upon, and snakes move freely among them. They look right through the insincerity of Muslim Brotherhood operators who say “Peace, Peace, no problem, no problem.”.

I would feel a lot more comfortable living in a society of people who believe in their culture alongside Muslims. But people who despise their own culture giving ambivalent signals, blind eyes turned to crimes, ridiculously naive incapacity to identify blatant ideological hostility. Islam may be an infectious organism, but that is a malignant cancer.

It’s been said that the only time Islam ever sat back and respected Western culture was when Napoleon conquered Egypt. They were in awe of the brute power and for a few hundred years they actually sat back on their heels and behaved rather peacefully. Why? – because they preferred to identify with and mimic such a powerful opponent. It was only in the sixties when oil and an idiot such as Qutb came along that they reverted back to their “normal” behavior.

Just a question: Is there a similarity to have a prophet where everybody from Islam is submissive to,
and a Pope where a lot of people are submissive to? Where is Christ and what about the Christians in so many countries. There is something very wrong in Catholicism now days too, Pedophiles (because priests can not marry ) before they could almost dictate when women had to bear 12-15 children, all for the church. Isn’t there something very unhealthy in that? Christianity has had their things too, but a pope now days who goes to Egypt and says nothing, that goes to far for me too. And what about the Christians and Hindus and muslims and Bahai’s in Islamic countries. Did you watch the video how in Pakistan Islamic went into a school, poured gasoline over the teacher put a match in in and burned him alive till death in front of the children 8-12 years old, then took all the children outside and beheaded them.
Parents were looking for their children afterwards and saw the corpses laying there without heads and you go to Egypt to make friends and do not say anything?
We all know why pope Benedict had to go. Sickening, and I hope that Catholics think for themselves too and let us hear their voices and everybody’s voice. It is about time 1111

By now, we should have observed this Pope playing the harbinger of destruction. Check the countries where he has gone and the dates of his visitations; note in each place what mayhem, confusion, violence, and anarchy have followed, combined with unjust restrictions on law-biding people.
Proselytizing conformity to the world and totalitarianism — this is the new evangelization.

Welcome to the new religion of Chrislam!!! Unless Traditional Catholics stand up to these Wolves in sheep clothing, there will come a day when all of the kneelers will be removed from churches and replaced with prayer rugs!!! How absurd ! For pope Francis with all the information of the Vatican library for his use he still come out a completely false statement as “Islam is a peaceful religion.” and the the totally false statement which is that Both Christian and Muslim believe in the same God” As for that first statement is as this reply .First, those ISIS jihadist rapes with jihad malice –filled heinously cruel misogyny because their religion is not only anti-female and anti-Christian but it also teaches extreme harshness to all non-Muslims .The Koran as in 9:123. Second, The vicious and murderous jihadists thugs who compose the brutal and deadly jihad entity ISIS are actually putting in to the practice, with all their ruthless actions, the violence and killing that is part of the teaching of the “holy book” of Islam, the Koran. Which contain the doctrine of extreme violent force for the advancement of Islam. As seen in the Koran, for example, 2:191. 4:89. 5:33. 9:5,111,123. 47:4. So in spite of the strong denials by many, ISIS is an actual Islamic organization. Likewise the malicious, bloodthirsty violence jihadists who make up ISIS are real Muslims. Nevertheless, there are some who might , understandably, wonder and then ask “Just how can those jihadists of ISIS ,being so very religious , also at the time also be so very malice-filled ,unfeeling and deadly ? “ The answer to that question is found in the Bible. For the Bible teaches that there are some people who are extremely heartless, cold, callous and dangerous because they have had “their conscience seared with a hot iron.” First Timothy 4:2. [ K.J.V.] In this case of the members of ISIS this “hot iron” is Islam.
As for the pope’s second false statement is this reply. There are a number of apologists for Islam, some are imams and mullahs and strangely enough, even some so called “Christian” pastors,as now the pope, who have the outstanding claim that Christians and Muslim both believe in and worship the same God. So it stands to reason that it’s important to know if this claims valid and true or invalid and false. The facts are that the god of Islam or the Muslims is a single being. In great contrast the God of Christianity, of the Christians consists as the Trinity. By the Trinity it means that “Within the essence of the one True God there are Three Persons. Being God the Father. God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Not three gods in one But Three Distinct Persons in One God. Being the Tri-Personal Nature of God, Matthew 3:13-17. Second Corinthians 13:14. . The Bible teaches, the Father is God, Galatians 1:1.The Son is God, First John 5:20. The Holy Spirit is God, Acts 5:3,4. Not three gods but the one and only Triune God.
As further explained in the Christian book MAJOR BIBLE THEMES by Lewis Sperry Chafer on page 39 which informs the readers that “Many believe that the doctrine of the Trinity in implicit in the use of the word Elohim, as the name of God which is in a plural form and seems to refer to the Triune God. “ Likewise, in the Christian magazine PERHAPS TODAY November/December 2013 on page 8 it reads about Genesis 1:1. “In the beginning God [this is the plural noun Elohim, meaning ‘more than one’] created the heaven and the earth.” Furthermore, a bit of a view of the inner workings of the Trinity together may be seen in that the God the Father raised Jesus from the dead. Romans 10:9,10. Jesus raised Himself from the dead, John 2:19,20. The Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead, Romans 8:11.The inner-workings of the Trinity of God may also be seen in the fact that the Father sanctifies, First Thessalonians 5:23. The Son sanctifies, Ephesians 5:26. Hebrews 2:11; 9:12,14;13:12.The Holy Spirit sanctifies ,Romans 15:16. Second Thessalonians 2:13. Getting back to the Bible book of Genesis. In Genesis 1:26 in reads “The God said let US make man in Our image , according to our likeness…” The words are the plural “Us” and “Our.” As in “We the Trinity” For the very next verse, 27, it further reads “So God created man in His own image…” In verse 26 it’s the plural “Us” and “Our” to the singular “His” That is Three Persons in One God. In addition, in the New Testament in Matthew 28:19 It further reads the Jesus said “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the the Son and the Holy Spirit.” [N.K.J.V] That is “name” not “names.” In conclusion the many apologists and propagandists for Islam for Islam who make the claim that Christians and Muslims believe in and worship the same God are make an untrue and outright false claim. For the God of Christianity, Christians and the Bible is not the god of Islam Muslims and the Koran.
There is the Christian internet site which replies the many different claims made by the imams and mullahs as well as the other apologists for Islam. It’s http://www.answering-islam.org

So the Allah-peace be upon his name-of the Muslims is the same Blessed Trinity Deity-Father God Almighty; Jesus God Almighty; Holy Spirit God Almighty-as that of Roman Catholics? I can’t believe that that is what Pope Francis has said.

Christ has spoken clearly about following ‘blind guides.’ It is is a word of warning.

Question is, “How many will listen and renounce their stupidity in following those who have eyes but cannot see?”

My guess…not many. So, as Jesus said, “Both will fall into a pit.” That means hell.

Perhaps he should head to Austria on his next visit. l’m sure the Austrian president [Alexander Van der Bellen] would welcome him with open arms.

“Austrian President calls on all women to wear headscarves in solidarity with Muslims to fight ‘rampant Islamophobia’
‘It is every woman’s right to always dress how she wants, that is my opinion on the matter'”

“And it is not only Muslim women, all women can wear a headscarf, and if this real and rampant Islamaphobia continues, there will come a day where we must ask all women to wear a headscarf – all – out of solidarity to those who do it for religious reasons.”

This is a good illustration of how the Western mind clings to the Golden Rule even in cases where it should not be applied. That principle only works when there is basic equality between the participants, but not if one party considers the other party inferior. Any conciliatory or apologetic gestures will only be considered to be an expected acknowledgement of humility from an infidel to a superior. Christians and other religious minorities will continue to be decimated.
Imagine an African-American leader who send goodwill greetings to the Klan, or a Jew to a Nazi organization. It won’t change a thing because racial and religious supremacist beliefs create an unequal playing field with no reciprocity.

Conclusion: Pope Francis don’t follow the example of Savior. Pope had to wash and kiss the Catholics’ feet, the Christians’ feet, not Muslims’!! This is not a leader of his people, but a slave of his enemies!

I can understand the attitude of Eastern churches who are under constant threat for centuries; but the West should speak out against the evil of Islam, the doctrine of the Devil.
