Why is this the case, and why is it the case year after year? Might it have something to do with these teachings?
“Fight those who do not believe in Allah or the Last Day, and do not forbid what has been forbidden by Allah and his messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are of the People of the Book, until they pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Qur’an 9:29)
Muhammad said: “Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war…When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them…. If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them. (Sahih Muslim 4294)
Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, and Eritrea. Trump’s ill-fated travel ban included six of these countries: Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Yemen, plus Libya. How racist.
“Christian persecution: How many are being killed, where they are being killed,” by Georeen Tanner, Fox News, April 14, 2017:
Is Christianity in the Middle East coming to an end?
This past Palm Sunday was a dark day in Egypt. Suicide bombings at two Coptic Christian churches, one in Alexandria and the other in Tanta left 45 people dead and many more wounded. Although there has been an uptick in violence against Christians in the region, Egypt is hardly alone in a long list of countries — many in the Middle East — that are violently hostile towards Christians.
A list generated by Open Doors USA, a nonprofit organization focused on serving persecuted Christians, shows the Middle East accounts for a majority of countries ranked in the top 10 for extreme persecution of Christians. In order, the countries are as follows:
1. North Korea
2. Somalia
3. Afghanistan
4. Pakistan
5. Sudan
6. Syria
7. Iraq
8. Iran
9. Yemen
10. Eritrea
Egypt ranks No. 21. According to the Christian advocacy group, one in 12 Christians today experiences high, very high or extreme persecution for their faith. Nearly 215 million Christians face high persecution, with 100 million of those living in Asia.
The Center for the Study of Global Christianity, an academic research center that monitors worldwide demographic trends in Christianity, estimates that between the years 2005 and 2015, 900,000 Christians were martyred — an average of 90,000 Christians each year.
From Nov. 1, 2015, to Oct. 31, 2016, Open Doors documented as many as 1,207 Christians who were killed around the globe for faith-related reasons during the 2017 list’s reporting period. This is a conservative estimate since it only includes documented cases and does not include statistics from North Korea and large areas of Iraq and Syria. Of the lists procured, these are the Middle Eastern or Muslim-dominated countries where Christian deaths occurred during the same time period:
1. Pakistan: 76
2. Syria: 24
3. Somalia: 12
4. Egypt: 12
5. Afghanistan: 10
6. Yemen: 4
7. Libya: 2
8. Iraq: 1
Open Doors also documented a total of 1,329 churches attacked worldwide for faith-related reasons. These are the Middle Eastern or Muslim-dominated countries where those attacks happened between Nov. 1, 2015, and Oct. 31, 2016:
1. Pakistan: 600…

North Korea received its nuclear weapon design from Pakistan (which it got from China) in exchange for North Koreas’s ballistic missile design

In 9 Muslim countries? Sorry in all Muslim countries Christians are terrified, beaten, arrested and do not have the same rights also for the state as well as for the Islamic religion, in addition to the North Korea, China and other English speaking countries such as England, where it was decided to get rid of the Christian religion to force divietie prejudices, with the media to make the lion, ask of the channels of Rupert Murdoch and the Islamic France and of the illuminati.

These were just the top ten, Cyrus–this is not saying that Christian persecution is only a problem in these countries.

In 1947, Indian Christians supported the muslims in the formation of Pakistan
Greyhound Fancier says
Could that have been to use the partition as a way to get some distance from the Muslims?
Monty says
Yes, to get rid of them. Also many Christians, especially Catholic, have been duped by the monotheistic nature of Islam. Wrong. Just because Islam worships one god does not mean that it is the same God as the Christians and the Jews. Someone should tell the Pope. The Old Testament states that God takes no delight in the death of the wicked. Compare that with the glee that Islam expresses when it has the opportunity to kill someone – anyone will do. Even other Muslims. I know someone who is a Christian who visited us in Australia. Nice guy, went back to the UK, got married, usual stuff. He took a job with a charity that helps to settle Muslims in the UK. We tried to explain why that is not such a good idea, but we could not convince him. Ignorance is not bliss, it can be extremely dangerous.

The cure for this sort of nonsense is Mark Durie’s excellent book “Which God?”
There is also a useful Barnabas Fund booklet, very brief, very clear, but covers all the main bases necessary, entitled “Is the Muslim Isa the Biblical Jesus?” (Answer, shown very plainly by ‘compare and contrast’ of all key passages, is … NO.)
If you know any Christians – laity or clergy – who have been burbling on about this ‘same god’ business – get Durie’s book (not expensive) and give it as a present. Or donate it to their parish library.
As for the Barnabas booklet, you can get it from their website, for a trifling sum. Buy a sackful! Give one to the clergyperson at every church you know. Give them to every Christian of your acquaintance.
And advertise both, far and wide, both by ‘word of mouth’ and in Comments and online discussion.
Sow the seed! Try to make people *curious*.

I always say that the best thing that happened to India is it’s partition. Do you have any idea what would have happened to India if Pakistan and Bangladesh was together with India. India by now would have been a 90% Muslim country.
Musalmaanmasala says
gsubrec, Thats a lot of cock and bull.
You are mouthing what the fanatical RSS has been spreading about Christians in India and if you believe that you will believe that the RSS took part in India’s Independance struggle which not one of these so called “nationalists and patriots” ever did.
There are 100s of Christians who took part in the Indian freedom movement. So please do not spread your poison abroad spreading it in India is enopugh.

There is harsh and terrible persecutions of Christians in the Communists rogue state of North Korea .This is because Christians believe in the Bible and Marxism is so very weak and fragile in its nature and because it lacks sound logic and rational arguments based on reason to uphold it , the whole Marxist system collapse down to the ground In the light in information of the Bible. Since Communist don’t have a firm foot based on reality and reason to base Marxism on in which is the foundation for the heinous rule. They resort to extremely harsh severe, malicious and murderous persecution against Christian and burn their Bibles.
Likewise, in many Islamic countries there is harsh and terrible persecution of Christians in Muslim nations ,such as in Sunni Pakistan in which the imams have much influence and power as well as in Shiite Iran in which the mullahs have so much influence and power. This is because Christians believe in the Bible and the doctrines of Islam are so very weak and fragile in its very essence and because it lacks sound logic and rational arguments based on reason to uphold it , the whole religion of Islam collapses down to the ground In the light in information of the Bible. Since the Muslim clerics don’t have a firm foot based on reality and reason to base Islam on they resort to extremely harsh severe, malicious and murderous persecution against Christian and burn their Bibles.

Can we name just ONE Christian (or secular) nation or state where a Muslim or Muslims are actually in any real danger, or have been abused, tortured, persecuted or Murdered on a regular basis? Just one… Please? [abuse after a Islamic attack elsewhere does not count].
Don Foss says
Yes, the United States because there is a Muslim family in Podunk, Iowa and the elementary school there refuses to serve halal food and a Hallmark store there offended them with Easter cards on display. But don’t worry…CAIR has filed lawsuits.
Les says
Simples… deport them, and CAIR.

Perhaps the United States of America should on the list? Here we have Keith Ellison, CAIR,the Muslim Brotherhood and Isis.
A close review of the RFRA bill signed by President Clinton is necessary, this bill should be amended or repealed. Lift the censorship on Muslim talk about the Muslim migration into the United States. The abuse of the RFRA bill that allows a Muslim mosque to be placed in any town against the towns peoples core beliefs and zoning laws. The town will be threatened by CAIR and most towns do not have the resources to defend their rights in this matter. The Muslim Brotherhood , CAIR and Keith Ellison should not have tax-exempt status. Islam was banned from the USA in 1952, but Obama doesn’t want the American people to know that nor does he respect or uphold US law. The Immigration and Nationality Act passed June 27, 1952 revised the laws relating to immigration, naturalization, and nationality for the United States. That act, which became Public Law 414, established both the law and the intent of Congress regarding the immigration of Aliens to the US and remains in effect today. Among the many issues it covers, and in particular, found in Chapter 2 Section 212, is the prohibition of entry to the US if the Alien belongs to an organization seeking to overthrow the government of the United States by “force, violence, or other unconstitutional means.” This, by its very definition, rules out Islamic Immigration to the United States, but this law is being ignored by the White House. Islamic immigration to the US would be prohibited under this law because the Koran, Sharia Law and the Hadith all require complete submission to Islam, which is antithetical to the US government, the Constitution, and the Republic. All Muslims who attest that the Koran is their life’s guiding principal subscribe to submission to Islam and it’s form of government.
Les says
Actually, I totally agree with that law based upon its premise: Islam seeks to oppose and overthrow the authority it ‘places’ itself under. Fatal mistake any Western government has done, to allow Islam to build and grow.
Don Foss says
India’s (and Hindus) history with Islam is brutal, and the millions of Hindus who had lost their lives over the centuries. When it is so bad that even Gandhi pushes for giving away about a quarter of India’s land for a place Muslims can go – Pakistan 1947 – and hopefully save lives of Hindus and Sikhs, you know it’s serious.
Don Foss says
I read an article (cannot find now) a few weeks ago about a local Indian politician running on the platform that he and his party will, basically, not take any more shit from the Muslim community and when he wins the Muslims will know and feel who is in charge. You can imagine his popularity. Wish I could find the article now.

Uh, I shouldn’t need to spell this out, but here goes anyway: it isn’t the Christians in Eritrea who are persecuting the Christians.
