Poor Dax J was ignorant of the clash of civilizations, much like many Westerners still are, but luckily he escaped Tunisia in time:
London-born Dax J, was charged with public indecency and offending public morality – but had already fled the country before the court case.
According to the Hadith, Music is haram in Islam as well as dancing, sports and anything that Westerners usually consider to be entertaining and fun:
There will be [at some future time] people from my Ummah who will seek to make lawful fornication, the wearing of silk, wine drinking and the use of musical instruments [ma’aazif]. Some people will stay at the side of the mountain and when their shepherd comes in the evening to ask them for his needs, they will say : ‘Return to us tomorrow’. Then Allaah will destroy them during the night by causing the mountain to fall upon them, while He changes others into apes and swine. They will remain in such a state until the Day of Resurrection.
And:
A people of my Ummah will drink wine, calling it by other than its real name. Merriment will be made for them through the playing of musical instruments and the singing of female singers. Allaah will cleave the earth under them and turn others into apes and swine.
Worse yet was that Dax J was using Islamic prayer in his musical entertainment, causing quite the stir:
The nightclub was shut down after footage of the weekend’s event was shared on social media and sparked outrage.
In November 2015 in Austria, an Afghan stabbed to death a fellow Afghan and father of two because he was singing. “The victim’s wife tragically noted they had ‘fled here from these religious fanatics’, only to find them in Europe too.”
“Tunisia sentences British DJ for Muslim prayer remix”, BBC News, April 7, 2017:
A Tunisian court has sentenced a British DJ to a year in jail after he played a dance remix of the Muslim call to prayer.
London-born Dax J, was charged with public indecency and offending public morality – but had already fled the country before the court case.
He had also issued an apology.
The nightclub was shut down after footage of the weekend’s event was shared on social media and sparked outrage.
A court spokesperson told AFP news agency that the court dismissed charges against the nightclub owner and an event organiser, but the prosecution has appealed saying the two should have checked what the DJ would be playing.
The event was part of Orbit Festival in Nabeul in the country’s north-east.
The footage showed clubbers dancing to music played by two European DJs.
The music included a dance version of the call to prayer, the religious act that Muslims perform five times a day.
Tunisia country profile
“We will not allow attacks against religious feelings and the sacred,” the governor of Nabeul, Mnaouar Ouertani, said when the club was shut down.
Earlier in the week, the organisers of the Orbit Festival apologised in a post on the event’s Facebook page, but said that they did not accept responsibility for the playing of any offensive music. The DJ “did not realise it might offend an audience from a Muslim country like ours,” they said in the post (in French).
Dax J has offered his “sincere apologies to anyone who may have been offended by music that I played at Orbit Festival in Tunisia on Friday”.
“It was never my intention to upset or cause offence to anybody,” he said.
Dax J has performed at festivals and nightclubs around the world including techno festival Awakenings in Holland and the UK’s Glastonbury. He runs a studio in Berlin, where he also works as a sound and mastering engineer…..

It’s mind-boggling how much Islam is anti-life. It can’t and won’t allow humans to enjoy themselves with drinking, dancing and music. Yet another reason why all sane and just people must implacably oppose and detest this poisonous ideology.

More proof that non-muslims are utterly naive & ignorant about Islam.
What hope is there with fools like this chump around. Darwin Award for him.

It’s hard to know whether Dax J is himself Muslim or not, Jim–some of his song titles suggest he is. But in his grovelling apology, he says that he “respects all religions”. So he may be Muslim, or he may be an Infidel who thinks Muslim Nasheeds are “cool”.
The song he got in trouble over samples the Adnan–the Muslim call to prayer.
The only good thing is that he had left the country by the time he was sentenced–he will probably avoid serving time in a filthy Tunisian jail.

Actually he should be arrested for just being stupid, I expect he thought he was being clever.
Well DJ s are not among the intellientia!

grovelling. that’s exactly the word that came to my mind too. I’m so tired of people always feeling like they must profusely apologize for things that don’t need an apology. The left people have picked up this same tactic of being sooooo offended by things, it’s just life shattering to know someone has sung a song or played an instrument or talked about freedom of speech or not used the “proper” pronoun of the week or…the list gets longer every day.
course, i guess he doesn’t want a fatwa on him…makes me think of voodoo.

And this happened in modernist, progressive, liberal-democratic, ‘moderately’ Islamic Tunisia, the shining success story of the Arab Spring. Dax is lucky he got out alive.

“There are no jokes in islam. There is no humor in islam.there is no fun in islam”
said Ayatollah Khomeini
And there is no music in islam..or dancing in islam or singing.. or beer ..or carnival ..or joy… in the religion of peace either.
So a song and dance extravaganza on the life of Khomeini with chorus line girls, dancing elephants, acrobats and stand-up comedians is probably off the cards then.
Is it too soon after 7-11 for the Life of Brian Muhammad?

There is NO FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION in any of the 50 Muslim-majority countries.
There is only PROPAGANDA in them.

-“The price of freedom of religion, or of speech, or of the press, is that we must put up with a good deal of rubbish.” – Robert H. Jackson, chief prosecutor at the Nuremburg Trials

What’s up with belly dancers then? Isn’t that provocing?

Tunisia: British DJ sentenced to a year in jail for Muslim prayer remix
……………………
And this was in “moderate” Tunisia.
The irony is that Dax J is using this for Islamic Da’wa–his techno music includes titles like “Closer to God” and “Protect the Prophecy”.

Actually, he may or may not be Muslim. I did some more checking, and it is very unclear.
Oliver says
So, now that he is (I guess) back in Britain or Germany, he has to watch his butt, or he might be “accidentally” killed. Or, perhaps, not accidentally.
Susette says
Is he permitted to play his remix in Britain? I wonder if they will ban it since it might offend the moslem minority.
Robert Brooks says
I’m not a muzzy, and don’t play one on tv. It would seem contradictory to non-muzzies to accuse and attack this poor guy for his expression of faith. We have gone through something similar. Ray Charles was ridiculed for using the rhythms of church music as a foundation of his now classic songs. I’ve even had discussions with my brother about “Christian rap-music”. We can do that here. They can’t.
But of course the “offended culture” must be deferred to. How long will the world continue to allow itselfto be dragged back into the 6th century by this archaic cult?
Although they call so many things of the west “haram”, they don’t hesitate to use cars, trucks, planes, firearms, tv and the internet to spread their hatred all over the world. They actually believe that killing anyone is permissible, as long as it’s in the furtherance of pislam…….
