Brexit group Leave Means Leave says the measures will help migration back to levels last seen in the 1990s and finally hit the failed Tory target of tens of thousands. The group… says Brexit provides a “golden opportunity” to stem immigration at last.
This would be a good start for Britain, yet while the main concern discussed there about migration is the economy, let’s not forget the politically incorrect truth about the threat of jihad terrorism from Muslim migrants and the shocking sex assaults on up to a million British girls by Muslim grooming gangs, which led Rotherham’s Labour MP Sarah Champion to describe the situation as a “national disaster” and “demanding a taskforce to fight the horror.” But news about all that has gone rather quiet. This is no surprise, since many reports failed to even mention that Muslims were involved, while others were blunt in stating that “white girls are seen as easy meat by Pakistani rapists,” as also reported here and here.
“Call for new migrant freeze: UK ‘needs five-year ban on unskilled workers to hit targets'”, by David Maddox, Express, April 10, 2017:
Brexit group Leave Means Leave says the measures will help migration back to levels last seen in the 1990s and finally hit the failed Tory target of tens of thousands.
The group, backed by former Cabinet ministers as well as 15 Tory MPs, says Brexit provides a “golden opportunity” to stem immigration at last.
It is particularly concerned about unskilled labour which pressure group Migration Watch claims makes up 80 per cent of existing EU incomers.
The blueprint for “fair” immigration has been drawn up by former UKIP leadership candidate Steven Woolfe.
He wants to see the introduction of a “British working visa system” and have Parliament vote each year on a figure for net migration.
Many pro-Brexit supporters were angered last week when the Prime Minister hinted that free movement from the EU could continue for years into an “implementation period” after leaving in 2019.
In a speech introducing his findings today Mr Woolfe, now an independent, says Britain needs an immigration system that is “fair in its outlook, flexible in practice and forward-thinking for our economy.
“It won’t mean pulling up the drawbridge as we will continue to encourage the best and the brightest to migrate and settle here.
“But by introducing strict controls, an annual cap and a five-year freeze on unskilled migrants, it will reduce net migration year on year, lessen the strain on our public services and help build a more cohesive society”.
His report states that a five-year freeze on unskilled migrants would significantly reduce immigration from its current level of 273,000 a year.
Work permits would only be granted if the applicant had a job offer with a minimum £35,000 salary, had passed an English test, signed a five-year private health insurance contract and could show savings in the bank.
Among the other recommendations is a proposal to combine work visas with an Australian style points system aimed at judging the annual immigration need for different parts of the UK and different sectors.
It also urges the Government not to give preferential treatment to EU citizens as part of a deal for leaving the failed economic bloc.
He wants those in the UK to be allowed to stay but anybody who arrived after March 29, the day Article 50 was triggered, should not have the same rights.
The report says there should be no cap on highly skilled workers, entrepreneurs, investors or those in the highly skilled top category, or restrictions on students.
It also wants a new body set up to assess NHS needs and ensure it is fully staffed. Former Tory minister Sir Gerald Howarth described the report as “thoughtful, measured and constructive”…..

IF THIS GOES INTO EFFECT, AT LEAST THE “SKEWERED” ISLE (PREVIOUSLY “SCEPTERED” — AS ROBERT HAS WRITTEN) WILL SINK INTO OBLIVION MORE SLOWLY.
But drown it still will — Islam is patient as the outbreeding of non-Muslims by worshippers of bloodthirsty Allah continues into future decades and even centuries.

Why are you preaching failure and surrender here, jihad3tracker?
I’m hoping this is just the first step in Britons taking back their civilized society.

YOU HAVE A GREAT POINT, GRAVENIMAGE — thank you for pushing back at my pessimism.
Maybe I have become so used to the ceaseless queue of Muslim slaughter around our planet that British courage and strength (which got them through WW II to victory) is scrubbed from Yours Truly’s ancient brain.

I know how you feel, jihad3tracker–thank you.

I just refute the idea that because we have an ‘aging’ population we must bring in massive numbers of migrants a large proportion of whom have no intention whatsoever in integration into our society and culture. This is just diluting our society and culture, until it will eventually no longer exist. The liberals and left seem to think this is some kind of ‘progress’. Diversity and all that tosh.
Japan actually has shrinking and aging population and it is not importing large numbers of foreigners to ‘save’ them. This is because the Japanese have a strong cultural identity and pride. Western societies seem to lack that or a least a good proportion of their population. There is also the factor that Merkel in particular, who subscribes to the diversity myth ignores; is that increasing automation of our advanced economies means that there are going to be far fewer of the sorts of jobs migrants are able to do.
It is also a well known fact that a high proportion of migrants settle down to a life on benefits and many in EU countries have been doing so for a decade or more. Of course at the same time they have lots of children which places a further burden on the economy and infrastructure
Eric Jones says
I agree. Population decline can be made up by increasing productivity through technical innovation. Which country has a higer per captita labor productiivity, India with its billion population; or Japan with its 127 million population? The claims of the open borders crowd falls flat on its face.

I worry that brexit will make things worse. If the company lobbyists manage to get the same level of immigration but without the Europeans getting priority we will end up with even more Muslims.
Bob says
We’re likely to find ourselves – ie, the UK – importing muslim citizens of these countries!
Zé says
Ridiculous.
Brexit does not solve the british islamization problem. Is Poland a muslim country? Is Spain a muslim country? Portugal? Slovakia? Czech Republic?
These idiots want to stop immigration from European countries.
European migrants work, pay taxes, pay national insurance contributions (=social security) and generally speak english (at least a basic level) and obey the law.
Most problematic muslims come from Pakistan or Bangladesh, members of the Commonwealth. Brexit solves nothing.
“lessen the strain on our public services”
Kick out the people that pay taxes and work on british factories and that will be great \sarc off
The majority of young british that are unemployed don’t work because they DO NOT WANT. Ask anybody in human resources.
I really like this site, but sometimes you promote morons.
BC says
Note there are also migrants who do not want to work as well. living on benefits is a great deal for them compared to what they had before
Zé says
The key word is european.
I don’t have the link, but there was a study on who received more benefits in the UK and, by origin, it was:
1st South Asians;
2nd Africans;
3rd British;
Other europeans received very few benefits compared with those three groups. They received less than they paid in.

UK: Brexit group Leave Means Leave calls for “five-year ban on unskilled workers” immigrating
……………………..
Of course, this is far too broad a brush–I worked with illiterate, unskilled immigrants from places like Laos and Mexico who studied and worked hard as soon as they got to the United States. Quite a few went on to become quite successful; at least two of them opening their own businesses.
That being said, this rule, though ham-fisted, is likely to prevent a *lot* of Muslims from entering Britain, and that is not a bad thing.
BC says
True there are all those illegals who live below the radar in USA and get nothing from the states in the way of handouts. There is a different ethos in USA. If you read about migration in the 19th century
those people got nothing when they arrived. They had to find accommodation and work or they starved.
DFD says
Utter nonsense! The bulk of Muslim and Asian immigration began under Churchill and continued with successive governments. All part of the empire, and then the “Commonwealth”. By the time Britain entered the EU (then EC) there were about 3 million of them. Full inflow, or rather colonization, began in the late 50’s to early 60’s.
The ‘curb’ on immigration will only affect (Christians from) Europe and Eastern Europeans in particular. There are no migration restrictions planned for **any** commonwealth country – or they are secret (?!?!), grin.
jayell says
Absolutely right. Commonwealth immigration began soon after WW2 with the dismantling of the Empire and the invention of the Commonwealth and was officially encouraged at first to plug gaps in the labour market (e.g., London Transport and the northern textile towns to name just two). It went wrong for three main reasons; 1. The authorities must have thought that everyone coming was a ‘jolly good chap’ and would ‘toe the line’ and ‘fit in’ whilst ignoring any negative social impact, and those coming would have not realised that they had previously been fed adapted versions of ‘British Culture’ (assuming they had any contact at all) and that they were effectively coming to a foreign country; and they were allowed to carry on as if they were back home.
2. The British Government did not anticipate large numbers arriving and therefore did not restrict a numbers at first. However, when the ‘open’ policy proved more attractive than expected and Subcontinental arrivals began importing their large extended families, things started getting out of control and the clamps went down. Then, rather than insisting on people spreading themselves around a bit and conforming with the ‘locals’, ghettos were allowed to develop and the ‘multicultural’ society was invented because the New Arrivals didn’t want to/couldn’t conform and the new liberal UK establishment was too consumed by post-imperial guilt syndrome to be able to do anything constructive about it. And things began to call apart from there on, the only ‘useful’ sanctions being the introduction of anti-discrimination legislation to keep a lid on things and the ramping-up of the concept of ‘racism’ at every opportunity.
3. No one thought about the economy winding down, but when London Transport had to cut back and the whole textile industry collapsed…
in dear, oh dear, and we’ve got all these people all doing their own things, and no one knows where we’re supposed to be going! But we musn’t upset them. Aka, a mess.
BC says
Good points. I grew up in that period and although there were lots of Muslim I was not aware of them at all. However as their numbers grew they started to sense their power, they started demanding more and more mosques and more and more privileges like separate schools for their children were not exposed to the terrible infidels.. They were also allowed to invite radical preachers from the ‘home’ country to preach Islamic superiority and the sinfulness of the larger culture.
As you say a mess
DFD says
Hi Jayell,
Your response is 100% right, but with one exception: “The multi cultural society”. That term was invented by the School of Frankfurt. They invented also a host of other, politically correct expressions. Including ‘politically correct’ itself. The school was founded and funded by the Comintern (Communist International) in Frankfurt in the 20s. Does Herbert Marcuse ring a bell? The school then had to relocate to the US, where it left a strong branch or sister. That’s why the epicentres for the current mess are in the US and in Germany. Current leaders, Noam Chomsky, US and Daniel Cohn-Bendit, heavy weight in the EU (parliament and other bodies). “Leader” is not the right word, because the followers of the school operate in cells – as instructed.
If or when you study them you will realize who the editors of the MSM are, all the words and phrases so sickening and duplicitous, have been coined by the school. “Who determines the words and definitions determines the outcome of the argument” … “Christianity is the only ideology we have to fear. It must be destroyed… etc.” Ever wondered why, since the sixties, there is a flood of anti-Christian propaganda in the media? Not outright, until recently that is, the school’s adherents are far to clever for that. The school has been established by philosophers and other academics, from Marcuse on downward.
Before providing two links, here is something for… a grin? Drooping corners of the mouth? Here it is: Nasty Adolf wrote that **multiculturalism will be the death of Europe**, and further he wrote that the UK will be the first European country to be run by an Asian or Muslim prime minister. In the 20s, written in Landshut prison. Though one should perhaps note that several serious historians are of the opinion that “Mein Kampf” is at best two thirds of his work, or just half, the rest was dictated. Unlike his second book.

Great Britain needs more eye surgeons like Bashir Al Assad
Richard says
How true, Mr. Dovid! Assad is fighting Muslim extremists, as was Saddam Hussain. how is our liberation of Iraq working out? Assad is fighting as brutal war, but Poison gas was first used by our allies, the British, in World War I. Those same Brutish who invented concentration camps during the Boor War to kill thousands of women, children and the elderly until their Boor soldier family members stopped fighting. It is the nature of war to be cruel. We firebombed thousands of civilians in Germany and Japan in World War II, finishing that war by dropping atomic bombs on two Japanese cities full of civilians. We have many atomic weapons, with the possible intent to use them in a future war. Will we refuse to do so out of danger of killing civilians? I sure hope not. No one has ever fought a war in that antiseptic way. No one can. War is cruel by nature. It would be far crueler for Assad to let the Islamist rebels win, getting the government of their dreams – and the nightmare for others. Like it or not, Mr. Assad is now the protector of all Christians and Jews in Syria.
BC says
Richard, apart from assuaging your guilt complex, what is your point? You speak as though only the British were fighting the WW2. I seem to remember we had rather a lot of help from some other countries even Brazil! Of course it suits your world view to talk as though only the British commit atrocities. No mention of course about atrocities committed by say the USSR. Or the Nazis and the Japanese.
BTW the Germans invented airial warfare in WW1 dropping bombs from Zeppelins and later from Gotha bombers. The Nazi Luftwaffe refined their techniques in the Spanish Civil War, and went on to terror bomb Warsaw and later Rotterdam and London, not to mention machine gunning columns of refugees in the invasion of France.
Richard says
BC, You are making my point for me. It is that Everyone in war kill civilians. Or worse. In the U.S. Civil at, some union officers in occupied Southern states put women in brothels for making pro-Confederate statements. An example was in New Orleans. My point is that people like Assad are fighting against Muslim radicals who are far worse. Yes, you are right, everyone in war commit atrocities. Often, it can’t be helped. I used the British as an example because they were on :”the right side”. I worry about us handing Syria over to Muslim fundamentalists as we largely have Iraq and Libya.

Another plus for Brexit. There is so much to like about ridding the world of Democrats and Muslims.

An Englishman from Shrewsbury recently told me that the problem England has isn’t with Muslims, but with Eastern Europeans migrating to England. That was news to me and I don’t believe it to be true. I have never heard of a Pole beheading an Englishman in the streets of London. I wonder if many English feel this way?
Eric Jones says
Some of these immigration controls may work here. rRght now the only immigration policy the uSA has is to let people in.
