Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

UK doctor who documented Syria “chemical attack” was considered “committed jihadist” by MI6

Apr 7, 2017 1:21 pm By Robert Spencer

Jihadists have every reason for wanting Trump to strike Syria. They are the ones who stand to benefit.

“British doctor who documented Syria ‘chemical attack’ previously held on terror offences,” by Tareq Haddad, International Business Times, April 7, 2017:

A British doctor who documented a suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria was considered a “committed jihadist” by MI6 and was struck off the General Medical Council in 2016.

Shajul Islam, 31, posted several videos on Twitter in the aftermath of the Tuesday’s (4 April) attack where he appeared to be treating patients in Khan Sheikhoun.

He appeared on several television networks such as NBC to discuss what he saw, but it has now emerged Islam was previously charged on terror offences in the UK.

Islam, from Stratford in east London, first travelled to Syria in 2012 and worked in opposition-held areas of the country such as Al Bab, close to the Turkish border.

But shortly after arriving, he was wanted by MI6 – Britain’s foreign intelligence agency – for his alleged role in the kidnapping of British photojournalist John Cantlie and his Dutch colleague Jeroen Oerlemans.

Cantlie and Oerlemans were held captive for nine days after they strayed into a jihadist camp in northern Syria where Islam was working.

Islam maintains he was simply a medic who was not affiliated to any terror groups, but when he returned to the UK in 2013, he was arrested at Heathrow Airport and held in Sussex Police’s specialist counter-terrorism units.

Islam was charged alongside his younger brother Najul Islam, who had worked in the Department for Work and Pensions before travelling to Syria, and Jubayer Chowdhury.

All three were held in the high security Belmarsh Prison until they were charged with terrorism offences to appear in Kingston Crown Court.

At the time, intelligence officials were quoted as saying their questioning would help trace the killer of journalist James Foley, who was beheaded by the Islamic State (Isis).

However, in November 2013, Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) lawyer Mark Dennis announced he was unable to proceed as the witnesses, Cantlie and Oerleman, were unable to attend court.

“A problem arose for the prosecution which serves to frustrate the trial from the point of view of the prosecution,” Dennis said, according to a BBC report at the time.

“The two victims in the case are the two prosecution witnesses on which the case rested wholly on their evidence. The prosecution are unable to call either victim for the purposes of the trial listed today.”…

Will Trump regret todays attack? Honestly, I´m was surprised that a war action was taken based on his personal feelings. No one can deny his right to have feelings but from a USA president we demand that his decisions have to be taken based on reason. In his position, feelings are too dangerous to be followed. But, I never saw any political consistency on Trump´s opinions. Its disturbing.

Trump BLEW IT BIG LEAGUE! He was NOT outraged enough by all the children beheading of ‘rebels’ and islamic terrorists to do anything, but overnight contradicted ALL his months of rightly attacking President obama on Syria. .Trump told us we have no business getting involved in Syria and promised he would ally with Russia to take out isis. What happened to the pre-election Trump? Just another politicians who lies to us 🙁 or is he so emotionally upside down , he can be manipulated by islamic terrorists and their allies in washington cartel?

yes, so disturbing. A person’s brain starts wheeling…what would make him do this? Maybe leftees gave him some extra false info that we don’t have and then pushed him to do it, so that their cohorts ( is/muslim brothers) can get helped, and u.s. can be on russia’s bad side, and then there can be an effort to impeach trump for acting against constitution… Is what he did legal or illegal?

      it’s legal:
The War Powers Resolution, passed in 1973 over then-President Richard Nixon’s veto, enshrined Congress’ right to approve or reject military action that lasts longer than 60 days. For now, the Trump administration has given every indication that the strike was limited, and a one-off.

At first I was dismayed and angry at Trump for the missile attack as I consider myself a staunch supporter, but upon further investigation I’m starting to wonder if he didn’t punk the left and right hawks who want war, any war will do for them. It was an abandoned airport. Claims of 4- 5 deaths. We know it’s not a problem to find a few dead bodies in Syria at the moment and he told Putin and Assad prior to the attack to clear out any folks. I do not think that Assad gassed his own people. They tried to pin that on him in 2013 and if one digs just a little bit you would have found out that Erdogan sent his own terrorists into Syria with that gas and exposed the populace to it. Erdogan is one dangerous kaliphate wanting nut ball!! Assad is starting to win the war against ISIS, why would he do this to his own people? Also he was getting on with Trump up until the gassing occurred. Why would he jeopardize this? It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

well maybe kaos… this is a good thought. But i think it was 9 civilians, and 4 were kids, that’s what they’re saying. And they say the bombs destroyed houses, and what about this from dec 2015:

TEHRAN (FNA) – Russia has plans to open its second military base in Syria, media reports said. The Kuwaiti newspaper al-Rai reported that Russia is preparing to deploy a second military base in Syria. A Russian Air Force group as well as relief-and-rescue and monitoring units will be deployed in Shairat airbase in Homs. The number of Russian aircraft based in Syria may then rise up to 100.

“Shairat base has 45 reinforced aircraft hangars protecting jets from shelling,” reported the Arabic-language newspaper.

According to the Kuwaiti daily, the airbase has a 3-km primary runway capable of accommodating aircraft of any type, and a reserve runway whose preparation is nearing completion.

The Arab paper believes that the operation of Shairat airbase under the Russians would mean an increase in the number of Russia’s air fleet deployed in Syria up to 100 aircraft and more. Additional Russian troops to secure and maintain the base will be deployed in the region as well.

The pro and cons of this appear too complicated for the professionals to understand and agree upon, so I doubt that we, the general public, can understand it all from the partial information that has so far come our way.
One positive, is that America has shown that it is back in the game and has to be taken seriously once more. Who took Obama seriously – the man who thought that doing nothing when his bluff was called and his make-believe “red-lines” had been breached – was something to boast about ?
If Trump comes across as being a little unpredictable in his responses, then that too, may be no bad thing. It may make the other parties a little more wary of the US – North Korea will have taken note, for starters.
Secondly, if this was chiefly Trump’s own decision, and not that of his advisers, then hopefully Trump will gain confidence in his own judgement on military interventions and policy, and it will counteract the influence of McMasters and Matthis ?

    Two comments:

    (1) Shajul Islam was struck off (disqualified) as a physician by the British General Medical Council in March 2016.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3711118/Russia-airstrikes-killing-women-children-MISSING-ISIS-Struck-Brit-NHS-doctor-accused-kidnapping-Western-hostages-treating-bomb-victims-Syria.html

    (2) The overall criminal justice system, whether in the UK or any other advanced country, is simply not designed to deal with war crimes in far-off, lawless countries such as Syria. For this reason, the attempt to bring terrorists like Islam “to justice” is nothing more than a lame charade designed to show that “the government is doing SOMETHING.”

Trump wanted to do good for America, but should have better advisers, may be wise men out of ” we the people”, because some times the people know better and are more in tune then the whole washington bunch. I was always afraid that he would make overhasty decisions. And then he still has the senate.
But Christ said: “the only way you can fight hate, is with the opposite: Love. You will win, which is very difficult at the moment. Then you have to trust Him 100%, but that is our God, the God of love.

Another doctor death of Islam. Islam has an essential doctrine called Al Walaa wal Baraa that commands Muslims to hate kafirs for the sake of Allah.

How much does this orthodox Muslim doctor hate his dirty kafir patients for the sake of Allah?

Al Bara is disassociation from those who are not Muslim. It means – To Hate
    – To keep distance from
    – To be enemy to
    – To desert
    – To decline to help
    – To disrespect
    – To put down
    – Not to ally with
    – Not to support

“Battle, animosity, and hatred…directed from the Muslim to the infidel…is the FOUNDATION of our religion. And we consider this a justice and kindness to them.” -Osama bin Laden

Western intelligence agencies all need to develop protocols to deprogram jihadists right out of Islam by using the most advanced Koranic, hadithic and historical scholarship which exposes the specious, fabricated origins of Islam, making it impossible for a reasonable person to accept it.

Trump states,he was so deeply disturbed by seeing the “babies, little babies” die such a brutal death, so disturbed by what he saw it galvanized him, within just hours, to action.

I wonder, has he seen this clip: https://videos.files.wordpress.com/z4BafJUp/isis_dvd.mp4 ?

(“WATCH: ISIS Releases Video of Burning 2 Caged Turkish Soldiers to Death in English”
    http://heavy.com/news/2017/01/isis-islamic-state-amaq-news-the-cross-of-the-shield-turkey-turkish-soldiers-burned-to-death-execution-wilayat-halab-aleppo-syria-english-translation-subtitles-video/)

It happened, reportedly, in late December last year; the men “featured” at the end of the clip, at some point, I promise you, were some mother’s baby.

Has Trump watched this clip? Has he, is he moved to action by it?

Has he questioned, why is it, 16 years into this war against the troops of “Allah and His Messenger,” they remain fighting, we remain with neither victory in hand nor in sight?
