It’s an absolute horror that millions of servicemen & women and civilians died in the 20th Century in order to give future generations the right to all kinds of freedoms only for Leftists to use that opportunity the beginnings to destroy Western Civilisation.
Paul says
Well put! A critically urgent message for the West to hear. When we fail to identify the enemy (ideology) you loose the war.
Jaladhi says
Looks like “Islam” has nothing to do with Islam!! LOL…
Andrew says
That is true, but there is still something’s that you have left out. The Maasai tribe of Kenya for examp practice it. They are not Muslim. It’s been practice by Christians in Africa as well. It dates back to pre-Islamic period. It is a huge problem, but don’t just look at that. It is not in the text. The most holiest of texts for Muslims, the Koran. If you’re going to bring up things that one culture does then don’t forget about what others do too. Like breast pressing, or even the damage the west has done to it’s own society through the teachings of shallow standards of beauty.
maghan says
Where is the logic in this comment? Because culture A practices and culture B also practices it and the practice has been adopted by culture C and is now an intrinsic part of its culture, does this mean that the practice in question is not really part of culture C?
Christianity did not begin in Germany or France or Spain, yet it became over time an intrinsic part of German, French and Portuguese culture.
For Muslims, FGM is halal and recommended by their founding father, Muhammad.

maghan says
FGM is nowhere recommended in the teachings of Christ–i.e. the New Testament. It is, by contrast, recommended in the Hadith of Al-Bukhari. So what is the point?
Norger says
Typical tu quoque nonsense. As Ms. Waters points out, FGM is in the Hadith, and where practiced in Islamic countries, the practice is justified by Islamic clerics on theological grounds. What’s your point?

Good post.

I’m glad you mentioned that if you are going to argue this point, you must know at least some basic verses from the Qur’an to support your argument. When you challenge someone on Islam, you will be asked to provide references.
Elsa says
Re the Easy Guide to Debating the Useful Infidel. I’ve done something else. Why? No sooner do you splat one of the arguments used not to see Islam (like, BUT it has nothing to do with Islam), another pops up.
So I put all the arguments together in a guide to THE BIG BUT SYSTEM: The Strategy the Keeps People from Seeing Islam as It Is.
http://westindanger.com/ed/big-but-system.html
What’s the Big BUT System?
It’s the blocking of negative information
about the reality of Islam with a BUT.
“BUT there’s good and bad in all religions.”
“BUT it’s all a matter of interpretation.”
“BUT I know lots of nice Muslims.”
“BUT it’s all the fault of
US foreign policy,
feeling unwanted,
poverty,
the people at Charlie Hebdo,
Pamela Geller,
Robert Spencer,
the lack of adequate gun control,
the Republicans,
Israel,
the Jews,
Donald Trump.”
What’s going on here?
Why all these BUTs?
Is it natural for people to come up with these BUTs?
Or are the BUTs as unnatural, as constructed, as the Great Wall of China – which was built as a barrier.
Again,
http://westindanger.com/ed/big-but-system.html
Take a look. Also learn to look at, and let people know you see the big picture of what’s going on.
UNCLE VLADDI says
As long as she describes her self as a feminist, I will ignore everything else she has to say.
gravenimage says
How *dare* she believe that women are equal to men?
What she needs is a good Muslim husband who will beat her and “Honor Kill” her if she gets out of line, right?
By the way, Ms. Waters has criticized “feminism” that supports Islamic barbarism:
“Feminism is the New Misogyny — the Feminist Betrayal of Women”
http://www.annemariewaters.org/feminism-is-the-new-misogyny-the-feminist-betrayal-of-women/
“A Message to Left-Wing Feminists”

Not that someone who opposes equality would care about any of this, of course.

Fellow jihad watchers, please check out the excellent book “Nothing To Do With Islam?” by Peter Townsend, available on Amazon.
