This is just smoke and mirrors: “war is deceit,” said Muhammad, and Hamas listened. “Hamas officials say the new document does not replace the group’s 1988 charter.” If that’s so, then this is just a new strategy to fool the Infidels and work toward the total destruction of Israel, which the 1988 charter calls for. And indeed, in this article they admit that: “The new document, which Hamas says does not replace the charter, accepts the establishment of a Palestinian state within territories occupied by Israel in 1967 as a stage towards the “liberation” of all of historic Palestine west of the River Jordan.”
Note also Hamas’ use of the notorious genocidal hadith: “The charter speaks of the need to fight ‘warmongering Jews’ and cites a hadith – a report of what the Prophet Muhammad said or approved – that declares ‘The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews).'”
Here is the fullest version of the hadith, which appears many times in shorter forms in the two hadith collections that Muslims consider most reliable, Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim:
“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.” (Sahih Muslim 6985)
“New Hamas policy document ‘aims to soften image,'” BBC, May 1, 2017:
Hamas officials say the new document does not replace the group’s 1988 charter
The Palestinian militant group Hamas has published a new policy document – the first since its founding charter.
It declares for the first time a willingness to accept an interim Palestinian state within pre-1967 boundaries, without recognising Israel.
It also says Hamas’s struggle is not with Jews but with “occupying Zionist aggressors”. The 1988 charter was condemned for its anti-Jewish language.
The text is seen as an effort by Hamas, which rules Gaza, to soften its image.
“The document gives us a chance to connect with the outside world,” spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said.
“To the world, our message is: Hamas is not radical. We are a pragmatic and civilized movement. We do not hate the Jews. We only fight who occupies our lands and kills our people.”
Hamas as a whole, or in some cases its military wing, is designated a terrorist group by Israel, the US, EU, UK and other powers.
A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Hamas was “attempting to fool the world but it will not succeed”.
“They build terror tunnels and have launched thousands upon thousands of missiles at Israeli civilians,” David Keyes added. “This is the real Hamas.”
In contrast to the charter, the new document does not mention Hamas’s parent organisation, the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist movement banned in Egypt for being what Cairo sees as a terrorist group.
Analysts say the decision is aimed at improving relations with the outside world, including Egypt and Gulf Arab states where the Brotherhood is also banned.
Gaza has been under blockade by Israel and Egypt for the past decade, imposed to prevent attacks by militants inside the territory. Its economy has been crippled as a result, and many of its 1.9 million inhabitants suffer daily hardships.
Relations between Hamas and Egypt have recently begun to improve, with a visit to Cairo earlier this year by deputy leader Ismail Haniya.
For years there has been criticism of Hamas over the language of its charter, in particular articles which were branded anti-Semitic.
The charter speaks of the need to fight “warmongering Jews” and cites a hadith – a report of what the Prophet Muhammad said or approved – that declares “The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews)”.
It also refers to the “Jews’ usurpation of Palestine” and accuses Jews of controlling the world’s media and of being behind the French Revolution, secret societies and of controlling imperialist countries….
The new document, which Hamas says does not replace the charter, accepts the establishment of a Palestinian state within territories occupied by Israel in 1967 as a stage towards the “liberation” of all of historic Palestine west of the River Jordan.
This is an apparent shift in Hamas’s stated position, which previously rejected any territorial compromise.
The document says this does not, however, mean Hamas recognises Israel’s right to exist in any part of the land or that it no longer advocates violence against Israel….

The Hamas Charter reads like a modern-day Mein Kampf. It’s filled with paranoid anti-Semitism.
The Hamas Charter shows that the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas are no more than the Arab version of the Nazi Party.
Anyone supporting Hamas is supporting Arab neo-Nazis.

I had no idea that Hamas considers the Jews to be superior in intellect and accomplishment! They are saying the equivalent of “We are victims because we’re not smart or productive.”
Eight incredibly armed Muslim nations attacked Israel and lost. I guess it does speak for itself.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. The Europeans seem determined to throw Israel to the Muslim wolves, presumably to keep their Saudi Lords and masters onside. At the same time they have to appear to be somewhat pro-Israel to avoid offending the USA. So the game is played over and over. Hamas pretends to tolerate Israel and Europe pretends that Hamas is sincere. Once Palestine becomes a state in its own right, weapons and fighters can flood in without any annoying hindrances like international laws. Islam will then have its work cut out to defend itself. Israel is in a tough situation. if they launch a preemptive strike, the Muslim world will pile in on them. Even Israel’s nuclear weapons may not be enough. The Muslim world treats casualties as victims to make the world feel guilty or martyrs to make the murderers feel better about themselves. If Israel defends itself, will anyone come to her aid? Europe long ago sold out to the Muslim world. Iran will have nuclear weapons soon and Pakistan already has them. None of these scenarios play out well for anyone. Islam does not care about the body count as long as it comes out on top. The Western world thinks lives are important. Another huge difference that is dutifully swept under the carpet.

This is a strategy used by the BDS movement, which is very careful to never utter anything explicitly anti-Jewish. They claim to be anti-Zionist, stressing that the distinction has nothing to do with race, thus shielding themselves from connections to the holocaust, etc. Now Hamas is going to try to use the same strategy. Check out YouTube videos of children’s shows on Hamas TV and you’ll soon see who they really hate, and who they are teaching their children to hate – the Jews.
