Great. Now who will stand against the scapegoating of non-Muslims by Muslim terrorists, and the scapegoating of America, Israel, and the West by Leftists and Islamic supremacists?
Of course, those kinds of scapegoating are what Caleb Joshua Pine was taught for four years at Notre Dame, such that he now takes them for reality.

Kkk is not a religion – nor a subgroup of one
Keys says
Members of the KKK were not acting according to Christian teachings in their actions.
Muslim terrorists, including ISIS, are acting exactly according to Muslim teachings, past and present.
JawsV says
The KKK has nothing to do with Christianity. Islamic Jihadists have everything to do with Islam. Get your belief systems straight, Mary.
In addition, the KKK is totally marginalized and was only in the U.S. Whereas, Islam and Jihad are everywhere except Antarctica. You get it?
Stop comparing apples and oranges. Only Islam has Jihad — Islamic Terrorism.

Mary said: “Because some people refuse to see truth. Humanity’s inhumanity to humanity is a tale as old as time itself.”
Agree, Mary.
Ironically, this is exactly what Jihad Watch is doing. Trying to get humanity to see the truth of Islam’s inhumanity.
Muslims believe Mohammad is Allah’s chosen final messenger, and led a life to be emulated by all who submit to Allah; he is the perfect model for men.
If you are not really “done”, and I hope you are not, seek the truth about Mohammads life, and don’t be fooled by half-truths and lies.

BTW, I’d say most posters here at Jihad Watch aver that Islam is inherently evil, but individual muslims are not. There is a difference.

Actually, noting that the Ku Klux Klan is not a Christian sect and does not follow the tenets of Christianity is not “hurling insults”–this is a substantive point. Is Mary incapable of recognizing the difference between a reasoned argument and an insult? Sadly, this appears to be the case.
More:
Every religion has a terrorists (sic) element.
………………………….
Actually, no. You don’t find Amish terrorists, or Unitarian terrorists, or Quaker terrorists. You find a great number of Muslim terrorists, though. Has Mary ever asked herself why this might be the case?
More:
Because some people refuse to see truth. Humanity’s inhumanity to humanity is a tale as old as time itself. I’m done – nothing else to say.

It does not surprise that Mary has nothing else to say.
Pretending that any individual human is just as likely to be inhumane as any other is absurd. Is a Buddhist nun as likely to be violent as a Neo-Nazi? Is the Dalai Lama as apt to be violent as al Bagdadi?
The fact is that ideology *matters*. If someone is an adherent of a violent creed–as Islam is–they are far more likely to be violent than someone who was taught to love and respect the rights of his fellow man.
Islam teaches the rape and slaughter and violent subjugation of unbelievers. Any ideology that has such teachings is going to have a large number of devotees who take their creed seriously. The almost 31,000 Jihad terror attacks just since 9/11 proves this.

Demsci says
Not at all, we derive our conclusions after study of the whole of Islam. And often, from the mouth of terrorists themselves we discover the links between Islam and terrorism.
Many accuse us of “painting all Muslims with the same brush” as you seem to imply.
But people like you seem so focused on “Islam and Muslims are innocent” that even when they are proven guilty, as they are in numerous cases, that people like you revert to the opposite faulty position, that of “Brushing almost all Muslims with a white brush”.
That is not logical but it is denial and neglect of a real danger.
Keith Parsels says
The KKK was and is a branch of the Democrat party.
Eur says
Your intentions are good, but you’re wrong. We must respect people (Muslims) but ideologies must be criticized. Islamic societies and Muslim communities are controlling, theocratic and intolerant. The immense problem we face is that Muslims are many and do not use birth control … their ideology is terrible, they have never lived with democratic societies and it is being verified that they are not integrated in ours. They want Western societies to be Islamic or to be divided into tribes. As for terrorism …. no other religion has dozens of terrorist groups all over the world trying to create theocracies … they even form armies. The problem is not isis, the problem is the Koran, the Sunnah and the millions of Muslims who yearn for us to submit to it.
Rich says
you might really want to get some knowledge about religion and terrorism Mary
Valkyrie Ziege says
; Yes, the ”Ku Klux Klan” is a Christian organization, founded on Christian principles found in the Bible, that orders racism, slavery, separatism, and genocide, as commandments from ”God”. Some people should actually read the religious texts they’re endorsing.
Wellington says
The KKK, Valkyrie Ziege, does not draw upon Christian principles but instead betrays them. If you doubt me, then cite the Christian principles that the KKK invokes that are in accord with the Christian theological blueprint and which justify the KKK’s many hatreds and animosities.
There is violence condoned in the Old Testament and slavery is not condemned but what you are missing is that the OT is not prescriptive for all time while the Koran most certainly is. Let’s face it, there isn’t a single Jew alive today, no matter how Ultra-Orthodox, who still wants to stone an adulteress to death but you could find untold millions of Muslims who still want to do this and no major school of Islamic theology to this day teaches otherwise. Also, no Jew or Christian presently thinks slavery should still exist. Indeed, it was the Judeo-Christian world, which is to say the Western world, which was the first civilization to realize the great wrong slavery was and which took numerous measures to end it. The West also forced the Islamic world to end slavery, though de facto at least it still goes on in the Islamic world and actually de jure with some Muslims. As for the New Testament there is no instruction to use force to spread Christianity, contra the Koran where there are some 164 verses instructing Muslims to wage war against unbelievers “until all religion is with Allah.” {Sura 8:39}
It is you who needs to read the religious texts and also desist from engaging in egregious moral relativistic reasoning. Better sooner rather than later because right now you are mighty ignorant.

Wellington, In the Torah aka Old Testament, it talks about Jews having slaves.
HOWEVER, THE SLAVERY WAS MORE LIKE (in later centuries) INDENTURED SERVITUDE. The slaves had days off from work. they were well fed. And at periodic times, they were offered their freedom ( and compensation or severance pay-).
They were not treated as slaves- as understand it was often done in much of the world, and still done in Mauritania and other Muslim countries.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Where are these militias, composed of ‘the people’ & free from State or Federal control? From my reading, ‘well regulated’ originally inferred them to be trained to be able to oppose tyrannical central government which is now obviously IMPOSSIBLE, since Federal Forces and the National Guard have far superior weaponry and training.
Islam is at war with USA and the whole non-muslim world & it is highly likely that National armies & police will side with the muslims, from what we now see almost everywhere [China, Japan, some of Eastern Europe excepted].
Therefore the only hope appears to be a [say] 100,000 strong militia in every US State, organised and ready to co-operate & act. Then wait to see whose side the Federal and State forces are on?

Then how in the world is Caleb Joshua Pine PREPARED to speak about Islam? Or is he merely GUESSING and PRESUMING to know about Islam without actually READING one DAMN FOUNDATIONAL TEXT OR CANONICAL COMMENTARY?
Caleb Joshua Pine and his kind PREPOSTEROUSLY present themselves as EXPERTS on Islam without having studied Islam. They believe in their own SPONTANEOUS, MAGICAL, INTUITIVE navigation system that is BETTER THAN COMPLETELY DOING THE READING LIST.

Good points Mortimer., particularly those about “reading lists”
I wrote a parallel point and sits well here.
Many of the Euro young ones, as some have told me, that I should get with the “new thinking”, as any way, the older generation that will not change are dying out.
When they can not convince you, as you resist in pointing out the words, deeds, actions of Mohammad per koran, hadith, sira and sunnah, and they should read it themselves. They say that is the old way.
Facetiously I ask if they are ready to become a true muslim? “No, but a muslim would be a good choice”.
They still point out that soon I will be in the older dying generation as a minority and the new ways of multi culture etc are the thing as they will have the power.
I know some will change as they grow on, but the ones that get into a trough, bread-ticket, will double down, and then even if they do want to change, will not be prepared to pay the price, so will fight (sanction, verbally oppress and threaten) to support their bread ticket and keep their rewards.

TJ says
Young Tree needs to understand the difference in the treatment of the resurrection story between the bible and the quran. I graduated as the top bible student at a lutheran university without knowing the difference either. It was a superficial achievement. The old testament contains prophecies about the death and resurrection of Jesus. And the new testament recorded it in detail. This effort helps produce important evidence human beings are raised up from the dead. It is a great gift from God to man which helps alleviate hopelessness when loved ones die. The quran attacks this effort when it says Jesus did not die on the cross, it just appeared that way. This reckless, vague statement against the resurrection was made 600 years later by someone who was not present at the event. This unlawful concealment of detailed testimony has helped fuel the murderous persecution against christians and others ever since.
Wellington says
All Christians, TJ, should be aware of what you are, to wit, that Islam denies a fundamental event, a sine qua non event, in the Christian theological blueprint, that being that Jesus was crucified (which denial can be found in Sura 4 of the Koran beginning with ayat 136). Without the Crucifixion you can’t have the Resurrection and Ascension, in fact you really can’t have Christianity at all, and thus Islamic theology is an extraordinary slap in the face to Christianity.
Hinduism isn’t. Buddhism isn’t. Judaism also isn’t. Not is Zoroastrianism. Nor Confucianism. Nor Sikhism. Nor Taoism. Et al. But Islam most certainly is. How any Christian can honor Islam is beyond me———and I’m not religious in the least though I would fervently welcome every Muslim waking up tomorrow a devout Christian. The entire world would be so much better off were this highly hypothetical to occur, which I proffer to demonstrate just how screwed up the Islamic faith is as no other major faith remotely is and also to convey just how much a burden Islam is to all mankind.

In 1981 I spent my sophomore year of college at American University in Washington D.C. There were and are lots of Arab and Muslim students there. I was from a beach city community of Los Angeles where we all got along and my hometown was mostly white Christians and Asians. My boyfriend was majoring in International Relations with an emphasis on the Middle East and asked me to attend a meeting of Jews and Muslims. It was supposed to be a congenial talk where we’d all be friendly and solve problems together. Well, the minute we walked in the Arabs began shouting at the Jews. I realized immediately that they were crazy, I mean seriously mentally ill as a group and that was about 15 years before I learned about the generations of first cousin marriage. And I realized that they had no intention of being our friends or wanting peace. I was apolitical for many more years but I always had lots of Christian friends and I knew they were basically the strongest supporters of Israel and the Jews and I always liked them-they are good people in general. Sadly for me it wasn’t until my mid-30’s that I realized that there was a political party that held my exact views and they were called Republicans. Before that I thought I was alone in my beliefs. All my family and most of my Jewish friends are Republicans. I am so tired of people assuming Jews are liberal. Many conservative journalists like Pamela Geller etc and radio show hosts are Jewish.

A few years ago now, I once had a brief conversation with one of our Aussie Federal MPs who is Jewish (there are three; two with the Labor party, one with the LNP [Conservatives]). It was the Jewish conservative guy with whom I spoke.
I said to him that I wanted Muslim immigration into Australia to be STOPPED because I was worried about Muslim antisemitism – which is hardwired into the Muslim founding texts, and verifiably *rife* among Muslims, right now, and right here in western countries as well as in the dar al Islam – and I said that with every additional Musiim that enters Australia, the probability that there will be a violent Muslim jihad assault upon Jewish Aussies, perceptibly increases. I said that if we keep on importing Muslims, sooner or later, Jews in Australia *will* be attacked (along with the rest of us; but Muslims *do* seem to have a pecular extra-virulent animus toward Jews, even more than toward other varieties of Infidels).
He didn’t seem to know what to say. He didn’t want to believe me. I am not sure he had ever heard anybody say this sort of thing, before.
But at least he heard it from me. Maybe he’ll remember it, one day. And he’s still a sitting MP, so he is in a position to do *something*, once he *does* wake up.
I can only encourage everyone here to keep on patiently repeating and repeating the demonstrable truth – Got Muslims? Got JIhad… against Jews, and against every *other* variety of non-Muslim. Day in and day out as opportunity presents.

I was at a catholic institution when (roughly the) same time, Pope Pius XII and a family friend died.
I spoke to a young priest, and asked him. The family friend was a kind, soft spoken man, who never hurt anyone. Yet he suffered tremendously. How could a Good Supreme being allow this. How did one know that there is a Supreme Being.
His answer- look at the most sophisticated computer in the world (Univac’s in those days-less power than many modern PC’s- but this was the mid 1960’s). Then look at the universe. How much vaster-and how much we do not know. How could it have come about without a Supreme being?

I couldn’t care less about the virtues or whatever of religions – I’m very much concerned about how Islam – and Sharia Law – is creeping here and elsewhere; for those who live long enough, we’re all going to suffer from the impositions of the Quran wielding immams – and either convert or pay their non-Muslim (kaffirs or infidels) taxes.
I strongly believe that if we Westerners – Christians, Bhuddists, Hindus, Atheists and other non-Muslims don’t “wake up” bloody quickly and do something positive about this dangerous ideology, those of us and our children’s children – who live to see the dangers thereof in action – will be suffering greatly.

My dear Daddy (ND Class of 1939) is turning in his grave. And I, a proud Northwestern U wild kitten (Class of 1977) am left wondering what the hell my Alma Mater is doing with a satellite campus in Qatur. Are we educating them for peace and true intellectual inquiry or are they indoctrinating us?
Any thoughts, Mr. Spencer?
P.S. Prayers for your total recovery and future safety.

My last comment was a generalization of religion. Too much of any religion is a very bad thing. Of the big three: Judaism, Christianity and Islamic there are various denominations. All the big three have elements of radical extremism in some of the denominations.

Mary, your summation is something best discussed in a theological sense, but you don’t seem to be aware of the fact one of those religions–and only one, is at war with America.
I already know what you are going to argue since it’s a common one. Give me proof Islam is at war with America.
The Muslim Brotherhood is the granddaddy of all the Islamic groups leading the Jihad front. Al Queda’s leaders, like Osama Bin Laden, were members of this group before branching out.
The MB has a membership and reach in many countries that obscenely dwarfs the total number of KKK members. The MB was also large enough and powerful enough to take control of Egypt from Mubarak and have him imprisoned.
There can be no question at all of the MB’s influence and reach in representing Islam and no Islamic religious jurisprudence condemns them. I believe only Sisi in Egypt was willing to move against them and that’s likely out of a desire for self-preservation.
So it comes to this: While Morsi and the MB were in power in Egypt, they had a live TV broadcast to show Egyptians how they were working on the nation’s issues, kinda like a fledgling version of CSPAN and Congress. Well, one particular *dummy* of a cabinet member forgot the broadcast was live, and when they were discussing what to do about an Ethiopian dam being built and it’s affect on the water supply for Egypt, he said, “We must remember we are not at war with Ethiopia, but with America. America is too strong to confront directly, so we must move carefully and in secret.” Of course, an aide rushed in and whispered in the cabinet member’s ear the broadcast was live. Did he laugh it off and say it was just a joke? Uh, no. He doubled down and said, “Well, I’m not saying anything everyone here isn’t already aware of.” This video was on Youtube a few years ago and now you cannot find it since certain powers that be have had it pulled since then.
When you combine the video of the MB and the fact of their captured document outlining a war from within to bring America down and that the MB is one of the most powerful and influential organizations representing Islam across the world–I think you can get the picture on why Islam is a worry for us in the West. Perhaps if Mr. Notre Dame had seen the video and read the document on how to bring America down from within, he may have given a different speech. One can only hope.
As far as I know, and feel free to present me the evidence to the contrary if you can, Judaism, Christianity, Catholicism, Buddism, and Hinduism, etc. have no doctrine like Islam for world conquest nor do they have a 1300+ year track record that is consistent with such a doctrine. The Buddists and Hindus would tell you they are painfully aware of Jihad since they’ve bore the brunt of invasions in the past where millions were slaughtered by Muslim armies.

How many muslims (lowercase be upon them) worldwide actually work every day to stop and prevent islamic violence? (hint: it’s a Tiny Minority ™ … less than 1%). 99% of those fighting to stop islamic violence are non-muslims.

Todays generation don’t have a damn clue and it’s really sad.
The fact is Muslims continue to behead Christian children men and woman at record rates and why because they won’t denounce Christianity thats why.
The ONLY one standing up for Christians is Donald Trump , he is 100% pro Christian and fights the extreme hate from the hard left media that these moronic youngsters seem to believe .

This generation needs to read what Winston Churchill wrote about Islam in the River Wars. Written before the turn of the 20th century, it is a quite succinct analysis of the state of the Islamic ideology and its impact on its adherents and the world at large.

A candidate standing in the 2015 British election read Winston Churchill’s paras on Islam to a crowd at an election hustings.
He was immediately arrested by the police on grounds of racial hatred, dragged away and locked up in the cells. They did not charge him within 24 hours and he was subsequently released, but at least we can see whose side they are on.
Rather like this stupid and pleased-with-himself young man. His face gives the game away.

Simply put, folks need to read the imperialistic history of Islam, the Sunna, and the Qu’ran. After, if you can say that Islam is not a supremacist religion with a world domination goal, well, i’ll eat your hat.

There’s no doubt that Progressive Globalist Communists have infiltrated the West and hijacked the institutions of the Catholic Church including the Pope himself. I just can’t wait to see how the Pope chides Trump for being a “climate denier” and a greedy capitalist. Pope hates capitalism more than he hates Islamic terrorism…but then again…. our first commie Pope, like this ignorant valedictorian, is an “Islamic Terrorism Denier” and thinks all religions are equal. It’s us Western Christians who are inhumane if we don’t welcome Muslims to invade our countries to establish Sharia law and kill us infidels.

Message for Caleb Joshua Pine: 15% of all Muslims worldwide self-declare as supporting TERRORISM. That’s over 200 MILLION, Mr. Pine.
Have you considered how much damage that number of people can do. Hitler had only 80 million Germans (on paper) to do his will. Remember how much damage 80 million Germans caused?
200 million Muslims stirred up by a charismatic leader to kill will cause WWIII and then end of everything.
Mr. Pine, are you living in reality?

The MB should be designated a terrorist group which it is, along with CAIR. Both are well infiltrated in every level of society just waiting for the call to start chopping heads off.
MB and CAIR should be demolished in any way possible. Wake up folks; think about what is happening around the world and in our country. This idiot kid speaker is just one example of stupidity. He has probably never had an original thought in his life.
obama/hillary/soros should all be in prison for LIFE; they are also behind much of the bad stuff going on through their greed and ignorance and hate for America.

Glad to see Trump reaching out to the Arab world and build bridges with Muslims. As he said, peace loving Muslims, Jews and Christians can join forces together to find peace and make the world a better place to live. Christians find his words truly inspirational and a good step towards reconciliation with Muslims.

……………………….
How do we “reconcile” with Muslims who want to conquer and slaughter us?
That is what Islam teaches.
Saudi Arabia is a hideous Shari’ah state–that means out “reconciling” with the abuse and oppression of women and unbelievers, and the bloody horror of amputations and head chopping.
In this case, “reconciliation” means submission.
Pong says
Kumbaya and the very dangerous one. Moslems know that reconciliation is impossible. They count on stupid infidels, who think it is possible and with their belief advance the islamisation of non-moslem countries.

The speaker’s worldview typifies what I hate/despise about the current ‘young adult’ generation. They no nothing of history, culture, or society — but they pretend they know it all. Consequently, they make grand pronouncements about the way the world ought to be, based on a false understanding of the world as it is, in fact.
They are a bunch of ideologues — receptacles of other people’s biases.
They have no idea of how the world came to be the way it is (no sense of history); they have no clue of how the world really works (no sense of human nature, of politics, of markets, of religion, etc), and no notion of how to solve the problems the world manifests at the moment.
But their ignorance doesn’t stop them from blathering on and on about their ill-informed, ill-conceived theories.
Who cares what this intellectually puerile idealist thinks? Who cares about his opinion? It’s USELESS.
After reflecting on his disastrous term as the official Leader of The Opposition in Canadian politics, Michael Ignatieff, who is a very bright intellectual academic, said that he now understood that cab drivers and construction workers often had a better grasp on domestic politics, foreign affairs, and the market because they lived in the real world of cause and effect, and not in the ivory tower of academia.
Regular people DIRECTLY EXPERIENCED the results of policies enacted by government, unlike the politicians who lived in enclaves that are far removed from the vicissitudes of everyday life. After his ouster, Ignatieff would talk to regular people, and he finally came to the realization that the best tutor is often life itself — which he had missed almost entirely inside the academic cloister.

Better than Pine can prove Muslims are being scapegoated.
