Disgusting ritual. Mo stole the pagan ritual and tried to sanitize it by saying that it will wash away the sins. Every year the brainwashed moslems perform pilgrimage and think that they have become pure like a newborn baby.
Godwin says
Many poor Muslims had saved/ is saving their hard-earned money just for this occasion, esp. from those 3rd world countries.
Stoning the devil is a dangerous ritual. A spiritual master had told me that the enraged devil could have caused the numbers of stampedes there, killing thousands. Lately, a strong wind there had caused a crane to crash, killing over a hundred .
He said it is always not wise to make the devil angry.
Jack Diamond says
it’s a dangerous ritual because of the uncontrolled crowd conditions and the geography and that they all rush to “stone the devil” immediately after noon prayers, and many do not exit properly but run into the next crowd arriving. The Devil does not cause the stampede (unless you are blaming Allah i.e. the Best of All Deceivers…how ironic to “stone the Devil” while worshipping at his shrine in Mecca). But lifeless pilgrims somehow follow venerating a lifeless rock and a lifeless tomb.
“The son of an American Muslim participating in the ritual was reported to say, “If one person trips, the push from the crowd behind will cause the people to either trample over the guy or fall down and be trampled by others.”
“The urgency of completing the ritual is accompanied by unimaginable tension — a fear of failure, of not “doing things properly.” Abdullah Pulig, an Indian street-cleaner, told the BBC, “I saw people moving and suddenly I heard crying, shouting, wailing. I looked around and people were piling on each other. They started pulling dead people from the crowd,” and Suad Abu Hamada, an Egyptian pilgrim, told the agency he heard screaming and “saw people jumping over each other”. The narrow bottle-neck leading to the al Jamar-at has been called “the road of death” because of the hundreds who have died there.”

Your spiritual master is an idiot.

All true, Jack. The Hadj is a disgusting and dangerous ritual. And now we are learning about the regular molestation of women there–how “spiritual”. sarc/off
Throw in the periodic slaughter of Shia by pious Sunnis there, and it is truly evil.

From India , they get money from Government of India. The privileged community so called minority , truly they are are not minority. India has second largest Muslim population.
Hindus don’t get a single paisa for any religious activities.
Government of India robs money from Hindu temples and gives out doles to Madarassas.
State government of West Bengal pays Muslim Imams monthly salary and nothing for Hindu priests!
Hindus are SUPPRESSED, OPPRESED, AND DISCRIMINATED in their own home land.
In some states where Muslims are majority Hindus are massacred and driven out of that state and live as refugees and the Government has done nothing yet.
SO ITS NOT ALL THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY, PARTLY TAX PAYERS MONEY.

Sandra I am afraid that our president does not see that Saudi Arabia is the base of Islam and does not understand, I thought he did, but is now speaking glowingly of Islam. He has been deceived by Saudi, MB propaganda against people who speak the truth about Islam….we are now all in danger. Islam is the seed of terror, his ignorance about the doctrine is my nightmare. 109 verses in the Quran that call for fighting against non beleivers that is terrorism.

Trump has some instinctual understanding that Jihad itself is evil, and this is better than some recent residents of the White House. But he has never understood much about Islam itself, and I was concerned from the first that this would lead to an incoherent policy. And so it has.

Indiana is full of mosques….so is the country.. this is insane…it is not a religion but a political terrorist movement, he forgot 9/11.
Jack Diamond says
In Islam “sexual harassment” is a term for a female denying a man what he wants.
The pagan ritual of the Black Stone even embarrassed some early Muslims. There is the account of the second caliph reluctantly following Muhammad’s example:
“Urwah b. Zubair reported that Umar b. al-Khattab, when he was doing the tawaf of the House, said: Thou art but a stone. Thou canst do neither good nor harm and if I had not seen the Apostle of Allah (may peace be on him) kissing thee, I would never have kissed thee. Then he kissed it.” (Muwatta Imam Malik, p. 168)
A lifeless rock and a lifeless body (Muhammad’s tomb). And many, many lifeless pilgrims too (note, the Devil apparently dislikes being ‘stoned’):
September 24, 2015: At least 2,236 pilgrims were killed during a stampede. The Saudi government is yet to release an official report. A few weeks after the incident, the Saudi Vice Minister of Health officially announced 4,173 people dead in this incident.
January 12, 2006: A stampede during the stoning of the Devil on the last day of the Hajj in Mina killed at least 346 pilgrims and injured at least 289 more.
February 1, 2004: 251 pilgrims were killed and another 244 injured in a stampede during the stoning ritual in Mina.
February 11, 2003: The stoning of the Devil ritual claimed 14 pilgrims’ lives.
March 5, 2001: 35 pilgrims were trampled to death in a stampede during the stoning of the Devil ritual.
April 9, 1998: at least 118 pilgrims were trampled to death and 180 injured in an incident on Jamaraat Bridge.
May 23, 1994: A stampede killed at least 270 pilgrims at the stoning of the Devil ritual.
July 2, 1990: A stampede inside a pedestrian tunnel (Al-Ma’aisim tunnel) leading out from Mecca towards Mina and the Plains of Arafat led to the deaths of 1,426 pilgrims.
Not to mention being caught up in the shi’a-sunni ritual cannibalism:
ex. July 31, 1987: A clash between Iranian demonstrators and Saudi security forces brought death to more than 400 pilgrims and injury to thousands more.
Wonder if this is what John Brennan meant when he “marveled at the majesty of the Hajj”?
mortimer says
Breaches of sexual conduct are normally blamed on women. Men are deemed to be immature and unable to control their urge to rape. This attitude actually encourage Muslim men to rape.
gravenimage says
Exactly, Mortimer.
Paul N Silas says
This is not the first time I have heard of blatant sexual misconduct during the Hajj. Often the before mentioned “stampedes” are triggered by a Husband attempting to protect his spouse from other Muslim men. Fights break out, people panic, a stampede gets going.
One would expect this from a bunch of bums in a Strip Club, but at the ultimate Muslim religious event?
carol says
Actually ludicrousness behooves the place. Another example is the crane falling and killing about 107 on SEPTEMBER 11, 2015. Another example is in 1979 when Juhayman and his Salafi cohorts captured the mosque in an effort to put their Mahdi (latest version of Muhammed and a man who just happened to be Juhayman’s new brother-in-law!) in place against the evil House of Saud. Juhayman’s father had escaped from Sibillah – where Ibn Saud had machine-gunned down his unruly former Bedouin helpmates who were continuing their forbidden raids against Jordan. Resentment passed to his son Juhayman and also inspired Osama bin Laden they say. The Sauds have since supported Salafism with due care and diligence.
carol says
N. B. – and it was a BIN LADEN crane!

I thought years ago it was a pious walk around the Kabba to worship, never heard then about not wearing underwear…it gets stranger and stranger.
gravenimage says
Muslims take off their clothes and don white robes–sans underwear–to complete the Hadj. Here’s a picture:

Sounds like those ex-tasy parties where they jump and bump up against each other after taking the drugs that got passed around…that I heard was happening in my town…always wondered why they were not stopped and who ran the events.

Sandra Solomon Moment: The Hajj in Islam and Sexual Harassment
……………………
So sorry this happened to you, Ms. Solomon. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Jim says
Sandra, you say that you knew this couldn’t be from God, and that you feel that it’s origin as a pagan ritual proves that. It is my understanding that Christianity, particularly Catholicism, makes a practice of incorporating native, pre-Christian worship rituals into Catholicism as they bring Christianity to Africa and places all around the world. Is there someone with knowledge of this Christian practice who can explain how this differs from Islam adopting the Haaj? I am not taking issue with Sandra ‘s main point, that the spiritual energy there, if it encourages sexual harassment, is surely not holy. My question is simply about the practice of incorporating pre-Christian worship rituals into Christianity.
carol says
Jim…I don’t know about “incorporating pre-Christian worship rituals” (and perhaps some expert here will go into the subject for you) but just think about the Celtic Cross (with a circle representing the sun in the middle). The natives had worshiped the sun and in order to make the new religion more acceptable to them some blurring of boundaries was the usual tactic. Fortunately the new religion did not have the malignancy of Islam.
