Many bishops protected priests who were child molesters for years, transferring them from parish to parish and allowing them to prey upon new children rather than turning them over to police. In the Catholic Church today, protecting the image of Islam appears to be job one: you can be a cleric who speaks out against the Church’s official positions (such as those on contraception and female priests) and in many quarters of the Church you’ll be hailed as a hero. But the highly dubious proposition that Islam is a religion of peace has become a kind of superdogma that the U.S. bishops enforce with a stringency (and even ruthlessness) that they never display regarding actual Church teaching. You can reject every element of the Nicene Creed and everything the Church teaches, and still the U.S. Catholic Bishops will consider you a Catholic in good standing. But if you believe that Islam is not a religion of peace, you have no place in the U.S. Catholic Church.
I myself have been canceled from speaking engagements by Catholic bishops Robert McManus, Kevin Farrell, and Jaime Soto, and blocked by the Melkite Greek Catholic bishop in the U.S., Nicholas Samra, from accepting several other invitations to speak. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops moves actively and swiftly to silence and demonize voices that tell the truth about the Muslim persecution of Christians. On August 13, 2015, I was the keynote speaker at the annual convocation of the North American Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas (Kevin Farrell’s diocese; Farrell had previously prevented me from speaking at a parish there that had invited me to come). I spoke about the global Muslim persecution of Christians. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, I was told, sent a representative to that North American Lutheran Church convocation every year. However, that year, when the USCCB found out I was the keynote speaker, they pulled their rep from the Lutheran convocation, lest anyone get the idea that the Catholic Church endorsed a truthful and accurate analysis of the plight of Middle Eastern Christians.
No worries, reverend fathers: no one will ever mistake you for people who are interested in telling uncomfortable truths. Watch the video of my talk here, and consider that this talk was too hot for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Cowards, time-servers, trimmers and self-deluded wishful thinkers dominate the Church hierarchy today, among both bishops and priests, and all too many Catholics believe that to say so makes one disloyal to the Church. Nonsense. Calling these people to account for the damage they have done and are doing is the highest form of loyalty to the Church. But they are completely in control, and don’t even deign to engage those who oppose what they are doing. Well, they have the Church they want now, and as the years go by, it will become clear to everyone what they have done, and what unimaginable damage and destruction they have enabled, both to the Catholic Church and to the world at large.
“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)
“Another Day, Another Apology to Muslims,” by Susan D. Harris, American Thinker, May 2, 2017 (thanks to Creeping Sharia):
“Don’t listen to liberals, because the Muslims will cut your heads off.” That’s the comment that warranted the KRQE headline, “Parents accuse Belen priest of making discriminatory comments against Muslims.” Apparently no one had a problem with the “don’t listen to liberals” part. Instead, being well trained in political correctness, it was the moment Fr. Jonas Romea, a priest in Belen, New Mexico, told a group of pre-K to eighth grade Catholic kids that there were Muslims terrorists that caused the problem. Specifically mentioning Muslims cutting “heads off” was when parents became terribly offended on behalf of Islam. The next thing you know, a reporter at KOAT Action News was asking Fr. Romea if he didn’t think his remarks were “Islamophobia?” Fr. Romea said that he denied that label, and strengthened his point by saying: “Recent reports out of the Middle East show that Catholics around the world are under attack. The news pieces that we get… from there tell us that actually, Christians are being slaughtered.”
KRQE reported that after receiving complaints about Fr. Romea’s remarks (made during a homily to students at Our Lady of Belen Church,) the “Archdiocese of Santa Fe sent out a letter to parents saying the homily didn’t fully embrace the message of Jesus Christ.”
Later, Fr. Romea sparred with KOAT reporter David Carl asking, “Are all people burglars? No, not all people are burglars. But my next question is, do you lock your doors at night?”
Carl responds, “I do. I do. So are you lumping in Muslims as burglars? Are you making an equivalency there?” Carl knows better, but with progressively tweaked critical thinking techniques designed to disarm traditional reasoning, Fr. Romea is easily mocked, then easily silenced with a craftily edited interview. By this time, he has been so intimidated — by someone or some governing body — that he will not even name “that religion that he mentioned” — Islam.
The original story aired March 30th. By April 12th, Fr. Romea issued what some local people told me they believed to be a “coerced apology” which can be read here; and by April 28th he found himself terminated from the diocese. (This fact was told me by someone who had spoken directly with Fr. Romea himself, and was also present during the April 30th mass where Fr. Romea’s departure was discussed. There has been no official statement from the diocese.)
Romea’s apology contained the sentence: “I have come to realize that the Islamic Faith is not to be equated with terrorism and vice-versa.”Sadly, 84-year-old French priest Jacques Hamel didn’t get a chance to concur with that statement, having had his throat slit by ISIS militants less than a year ago during a quiet morning Mass. One has to wonder what kind of internal spiritual struggles these Catholic Christian leaders are suffering as the world keeps forcing them to the ground — symbolically or literally — to grovel toward Mecca.
In New Mexico, the incident took on an overtly political tone when former senator Michael Sanchez reportedly shone a spotlight on it by Tweeting what happened “wasn’t right” and that he “stands with Muslims.”
Stories of priests being silenced as they try to speak against Islam aren’t new, but aren’t abating either. Earlier this month, the diocese of Orlando, Florida reprimanded a priest for teaching his students about Muhammed from the writings of Catholic Saint John Bosco. The story, not surprisingly unearthed by the Huffington Post’s Documenting Hate Project, ended with the Orlando diocese stating “the information provided in the sixth grade class is not consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.”
This past February, the Rev. Peter West, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church in Orange, NJ made news calling moderate Islam “a myth” and openly supported President Trump’s travel ban, (though its characteristics changed over time.) A spokesman for that diocese said, “…we are concerned about Father West’s comments and actions, and will be addressing them according to the protocols of the Church.”
Journalist Mark Mueller, writing for NJ.com, told his readers:
(Father West’s) attacks, while popular with many of his 7,300 Facebook followers from around the country, run counter to the statements and philosophies of his own leader, Newark Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, and his ultimate boss, Pope Francis.
What is really happening in small Catholic dioceses across the country, one can only guess; but you can be sure the politically-correct thought police are on duty everywhere….
It is the greatest irony that while there is no known Catholic priest, nor adherent of Catholicism, that has been charged with beheading a Muslim in modern times, that those who warn against Islam are the targets of censure and ridicule by their own societies.
Terry says
In my opinion, the Catholic Church is doing the right thing ( by their standards).
They, from (the current pope) downward protected pedophile priests- as mentioned in the first two lines 91st sentence).
Now they are protecting Muslim pedophiles.
When protecting the pedophile priests, the hierarchy did not care what happened (I would venture to say mentally, spiritually and physically) to the children; and likewise, now, they don’t care what happens to other (Christians).
Hoping, my guess, to be the last eaten by the alligator.
The same church that blessed Mussolini and his troops before they invaded Ethiopia (beginning of WW2) (Ethiopians did not have any guns-had almost primitive weapons); and after the war gave Diplomatic passports to Mengele, Eichmann and other top Nazis, so that they could live in South America and not be hanged.
mortimer says
Terry, I hope you feel better now. But your conjectures are half truths. To be fair, the RCC is a CONSORTIUM of opposed interests. The group now in charge is promoting liberation theology and dhimmi theology. They are idiots. Please do not insult the many fine Roman Catholics who fought Nazism. It should be pointed out that Pope Pius was given an award by Golda Meir for his outstanding defense of Jews both openly and secretly. Polish Roman Catholics received the greatest number of ‘Righteous Gentile’ citations of any nationality. Jews were hidden by righteous people throughout Europe. Conservative Roman Catholics are just as appalled at this pope’s egregious STUPIDITY as you are. However, they are not in the ascendancy at the moment. They are working on it!
Terry says
And the poppe in Rome in 1945 issued DIPLOMATIC PASSPORTS TO MENEGELE ANE EICHMANN AND OTHERS. SO THAT THEY COULD ESCAPE THE HANGING THAT THEY DESERVED-ALTHOUGH EICHMANN GOT IT DECADES LATER, BY THE ISRAELIS.
AND HE BLESSED MUSSOLINI’S TROOPS BEFORE INVADING ETHIOPIA.
AND IN THE 20TH CENTURY- THE VATICAN PROTECTED PEDOPHILES- THE CURRENT POPE, IN ARGENTINA, DID THE SAME. ONE PRIEST WAS FOUDN GUILTY, FLED TO THE VATICAN, AND THE VATICAN REFUSED TO EXTRADITE HIM TO ARIZONA -SAYING-IN ARIZONA PRISONS, THEY- 9OTHER PRISONERS) DON’T LIKE PEDOPHILES, SO HE WOULD BE IN DANGER. AND THE BASTARD STAYED IN THE VATICAN.
Piece of trivia- one fo the lawyers who uncovered this ( firstplace was Boston) was the great nephew of Archibald MacLeish, (whoi had been the poet lauretate of the US). He was a lawyer with the law firm of Greenberg, Truaig- which was primarily a jewish law firm ( main office was, might still be, Miami, FL)/
Muslims are peds. The rcc was ( and probably still is) infected with the same. The current pope protected them while in Argentina. I see the draw between the pope and the nMuslims. Not pretty.
Wellington says
Terry, Pope Pius XII saved more Jews than any person in history, some 800,000. He did so by working behind the scenes (e.g., instructing the Papal Nuncio to France, Cardinal Roncalli, the future Pope John XXIII, to issue fake baptismal certificates to French Jewish children in order to pass them off as Catholics) because he knew, as did Jewish leaders at the time and who supported Pius’s approach, that public criticism of Nazism (which the Pope did anyway from time to time, for instance his Christmas message of 1942 which was a very thinly veiled criticism of Nazism and which infuriated Hitler) would be highly counter-productive. This helps to explain why when Pius died in 1958 he was lauded by the worldwide Jewish community, including being given a moving eulogy for him at the UN by then Israeli Foreign Minister, Golda Meir.
Unfortunately, Pius’ silence approach to saving Jews was turned on its head beginning in the 1960s and put forth as evidence of complicity and sympathy for Nazism, starting with that most deceitful of plays, Hochhuth’s The Deputy, which came out in 1963. Yet nothing could be further from the truth than that Pius was somehow sympathetic to Nazism or that he looked the other way when Jews were being slaughtered. Indeed, Pius, while still a Cardinal under the pontificate of Pius XI, was the major drafter of the papal encyclical, Mit Brennender Sorge (With Burning Sorrow), read from every Catholic pulpit in Germany in March of 1937 and which was an unambiguous condemnation of Nazism.
As for the ratlines which allowed certain high level Nazis to escape to South America, especially to Argentina, there were indeed certain Catholic clerics who facilitated this, and to their eternal shame, but I know of no hard evidence that Pius XII had anything to do with this. If you do, please let me know.
As you might know, I am not religious in the least, but I do think a ruthless pursuit of the truth should be pursued by all. Certainly much of the present Catholic hierarchy in its shameful defense of Islam should be condemned, as much as this same hierarchy deserves condemnation for the covering up of sexual abuses in decades past. But to implicate Pius XII in the ratlines needs proof, and his doing so would run so counter to his clear detestation of Nazism and his profound and extensive help for saving Jews (and many non-Jews too) from the scourge which was Hitler’s creed.
You know, so often the general consensus is dead wrong. As another example, look at the continued praise of Mahatma Gandhi, who was actually a fool, a hypocrite, a crank and one who was responsible for the death of millions (Winston Churchill, btw, couldn’t stand the man and, as usual, the Great Man was right). Meanwhile, Pius remains condemned by many even though he deserves to be extolled. Thus tending to prove the cynical view of the past as proffered by Napoleon, to wit, that history is a pack of lies agreed upon. I hope otherwise but when I see a man like Gandhi still lauded and a man like Pius still condemned, it makes me think the Emperor’s view of history may be the correct one.
Terry says
RE: Ghandi- he also was suppsoed to have been involved in one or more incestuous relationships.
I agree- he was not a good person; I also don’t think that hsi daughter was much better.
Manual Paleologos says
Pope Pius XII was involved in most of the assassination plots against Hitler from before the invasion of France to the Von Stauffenberg plot. His conspiracy included such names as Canaris, Halder, and Rommel. It was all behind the scenes and under deep cover. Whether the Vatican actually provided concrete aid or just moral support may be argued, but not their involvement.

I had read, (might have been (JW, not sure) after Pope Benedict was removed that na Cardinal was boasting that he had led (my term, forgot the one used) a coup to get rid of Pope Benedict.
Not being a catholic (although went to a jesuit university) and not sure how this would have gone on in a hierarchy like the rcc- I don’t recall more details.
But, as time goes on, it does look like it was a coup.

The crazy thing it that he is still at that Vatican, and he still wears white. While other popes have resigned, none of them stayed at the Vatican and wore white. We may not have 2 popes, but we certainly have more than one.
Manual Paleologos says
He is said to be inactive, living a life of contemplation and prayer, and I see no reason to doubt this. He wasn’t a particularly political pope, but a theologian. I can’t see him involved in deep conspiracies, and doubt he could contribute much toward one.

Henri Boulad, SJ, is a Jesuit and expert lecturer on Islam.
He said, “Islamism is not a caricature, nor a counterfeit, nor a heresy, nor a fringe or atypical phenomenon versus classical, orthodox, Sunnite Islam.
To the contrary, I think Islamism is naked Islam, Islam without a mask and without paint, Islam perfectly consistent and true to itself, an Islam that has the courage and lucidity to go all the way to its ultimate conclusions and final implications.
Islamism is Islam in all its logic and in all its rigour. Islamism is present in Islam as the chick is present in the egg, as the fruit is present in the flower and as the tree is present in the seed.
But what is Islamism?
Islamism is political Islam, the bearer of a project for a model society and whose aim is to establish a theocratic state based on Sharia, the only legitimate law—since it is divine—since it was revealed and enshrined in the Koran and Sunna—it’s a law that applies to everything.
Here is an all-inclusive and all-encompassing project, one that is total, totalizing and totalitarian.”
The pope has experts on Islam in his church, but he prefers to listen to uninformed, unstudied and unread NON-EXPERTS who merely parrot what he wants to hear…liberation theology, dhimmi theology and globalist cultural Marxism.
The pope should learn from real scholars on Islam who have actually read and studied Islam’s PRIMARY SOURCE TEXTS, rather than those who spout conjecture and wishful thinking.
The JIHAD DOCTRINE of war against disbelievers is NORMATIVE ISLAM, rather than an aberration.

This pope appears to be the creature of the NWO and knows exactly what Islam is about, and he is dismantling any historical traditional resistance the RC church still has to it. He’s a Jesuit, he’s educated, he’s not naive, he knows how to generate PC crowd-pleasing PR. The Late ex-Jesuit Fr. Malachi Martin indicated that the suppressed secret of Fatima was that the rot in the church, instigated by Freemasonic prelates in the Vatican, (The “Superforce” or the”St Gallen Mafia”) began at the top; and that the last Pope of this era would share the ideals and goals of the NWO, and be under the control of Satan. Look on Utube for “Malachi Martin & Last Pope” His description sounds a lot like Pope Francis.

Agree with R.Paulsen. The major problem is what has been called ‘Dhimmi Theology’… the so-called ‘Abrahamic religions fallacy’. The three religions have three different versions of Abraham.
Furthermore, the pope’s clique makes a poisonous cocktail of ‘dhimmi theology’ mixed with so-called ‘liberation theology’ … a witch’s brew that submits Christian doctrine to Islam and Marxism.
The truth about the JIHAD DOCTRINE will prevail. The monumental evidence within Islam’s PRIMARY SOURCE TEXTS on which the JIHAD DOCTRINE is founded is too great for INTELLIGENT PEOPLE to overlook. Once INTELLIGENT PEOPLE see the JIHAD DOCTRINE, they cannot UNSEE the doctrine. They will ALWAYS see jihad and they will increasingly see it more and more.
We must continue doing our part to share the JIHAD DOCTRINE with open-minded INTELLIGENT PEOPLE and their open minds will do the rest.
The pope’s mind is clearly CLOSED TO FACTS, FIGURES and LOGIC. Frank is a closed-minded Marxist ideologue.
EventHorizon says
“The truth about the JIHAD DOCTRINE will prevail.”
Will the truth about BIBLICAL DOCTRINE prevail? Not if Catholicism has anything to say about it.

“The monumental evidence within Islam’s PRIMARY SOURCE TEXTS on which the JIHAD DOCTRINE is founded is too great for INTELLIGENT PEOPLE to overlook.”
Well, the monumental evidence against Catholicism within Christianity’s PRIMARY SOURCE TEXTS wasn’t enough for you. Is that just because you’re not as intelligent as those you consider “INTELLIGENT”?

Yes, a small fleet consisting mainly of the tiny fleet of the Catholic states and Venice miraculously defeated the mighty Ottoman fleet at Lepanto. Otherwise, all of Europe would likely have fallen. A few years ago, a pope shamefully returned the Turkish battle flag captured at that battle. I know of no protestant forces ever defending Europe against Islam.
Mark A says
I hadn’t heard about a Pope returning a Turkish battle flag captured at Lepanto. Which Pope and when?
james.mich says
For Mark A:
That is probably a reference to Paul VI (1963-78) who apparently returned flags taken from the Ottoman fleet at Lepanto in 1570. As to when: in the 1970s, I assume. Paul VI did quite a few things like that – he was keen on trying to “mend fences” with people.
Rob says
Study the sieges of Rhodes and (especially) Malta. At Malta, a small force of Christians fought literally “to the last man” against vastly superior Muslim forces. The Christian appeals for assistance were largely ignored (even by the Roman Catholic Pope), but the death toll incurred in Malta’s defense dissuaded Muslim fleets from continuing their attacks on the underbelly of Western Europe. It is difficult to believe that the descendants of those who fought off Islamic armies at Malta and Vienna are today passively turning their nations over to the current Islamic crusade.

Agree with Berengaria: The so-called ‘Abrahamic religions fallacy’ is actually ‘dhimmi theology’ intended to force Christians and Jews to submit to Islam without knowing it. Wellington says
Agree with you and Berengaria, mortimer. I made a point when teaching history at the college level to NEVER refer to Islam as a great religion, though I did so with Judaism and Christianity. I did often refer to it as a major religion, which it surely is (and those alleging that Islam is not a religion at all are pursuing a dead end approach and I would point out to such people that nowhere is it written that a religion must be good) but never as a great one. Don’t know how many students caught my distinction but it was imperative for me, for my own sense of well being and what is right, to insure that NEVER did I refer to Islam as great.

Why would anyone want to be part of a church in which lay people cannot remove corrupt clergy, decide on major issues or choose their own leaders?
Adrian Johnson says
As a traditional Catholic who happens to have a degree in theology, I predict that soon the Catholic Church as we know it will split into a majority that follows this PC modernist Pope into feel-good ecumenical heresy, and an unpopular “Islamophobic” faction of reactionaries” who will be barred from using parish churches; they will meet in house churches and homeschool their children until they are actively persecuted under the “hate crime’ laws.
Richard says
Barbara: Because then we would have even more of all the rot you and I lament in the Church today. It is a feeling of trying to please the people, rather than guide the people, that has brought on the horrible obliteration of most of what the Church has always stood for. Many bishops and priests would happily sell
their souls for the hind end of an anchovy. Like Adrian Johnson, I am a traditional Catholic who has been forced to flee into the catacombs to escape Masses where even Scripture readings are either deliberately mistranslated or edited to remove condemnations of sins that might offend donors. When going to a Novus Ordo Cathedral when a traditional Mass was unavailable on a holy day of obligation, I had to go early and put slips of paper in my D-R Bible to check the readings. Once, a reading from an epistle of St. Paul denounced adultery three times. Two of those denunciations were completely removed from the public Mass reading. The third changed “adultery” to “sin”. That may please the adulterer in the church, but what about their poor spouse? – Let alone God! A point on my esteemed Mr. Johnson’s degree in theology: That kind of knowledge is necessary to have any inkling of what the Faith is. The problem today are the seminaries that teach theology. I know a young man who went to a seminary, hoping to become a priest. He graduated with a degree in theology, but was now an atheist! There are a group of five priests in California who only graduated from a seminary by pretending to be liberals and saying their rosaries in secret. The Catholic Faith is the most beautiful thing imaginable, but almost no one knows it today. As sad as is Mr. Johnson’s prediction, Jesus Christ said His Church would last until the end of time, but He also asked if His disciples thought there would be any faith remaining when He returned – leaving the horrifying prospect of His Church without any faith.
james.mich says
Easy: having the power to remove those in charge of the CC is immaterial to whether the CC is the Church of Christ. If she is, it is – in a sense – totally irrelevant whether her rulers are Saints, or devils incarnate. What matters, is her relation to Christ – for no badness in the Church can outweigh or destroy the fact, if fact it be, of her union witn Him. Conversely, no good the CC is or has or does, has any value apart from Christ. So boasting of any good she may have done, is silly. The Church is meant for sinners – where will they find healing, if their so-called righteous critics cast them out ?
So appeals to her good works prove nothing. If the Church is Christ’s, no amount of sin and evil can outweigh the Infinite Good that is Christ – so attempts to undermine faith in the Church by pointing to the atrocities, crimes, massacres, murders, wars, pogroms, persecutions, tyrannies, genocides, tortures, cruelties and other wrongs committed by Catholics are beside the point: because faith in the CC depends on Christ, not on the abominations committed by Catholics.
Besides, each one of us will be judged with perfect justice for his own sins, including those of others for which he is in any way responsible. But we can hardly be judged for the sins of others in which we have no part, or which we deplore. It is absurd to blame those living in later times for wrongs committed in times before them.
Those Christians who accuse the CC (or any other body of Christians, for that matter) might do well to bear in mind (1) that in Scripture, it is not God Who is called the accuser; (2) St Paul has a lot to say in Romans 8 about things that cannot separate us from the Love of God in Christ; (3) that Scripture says what a Christian should do, if he finds a brother to have fallen into some fault – accusation and reproach and aggression are not said to be the remedy. Maybe, millennia in the future, Christians will eventually take that to heart. Maybe.
Besides, even if at a given time a ruler in the Church is a scoundrel, and one of his subordinates is saintly, scoundrels can be converted, and saintly men can become devils incarnate. Fr. West is correct about there being only one Islam… the orthodox Islam of the Islamic consensus.
Not all jihad is VIOLENT, but all jihad is DECEITFUL. Deceit is the main element of jihad. So-called moderate Muslims lie about jihad and cover the tracks of the violent jihadists. The shared goal of all Muslims is the imposition of discriminatory Sharia law. Those who call themselves Muslims while disagreeing with Sharia law are in fact considered apostates by mainstream Islam… the 30% to 35% of Muslims who are opposed to Sharia are practicing Islam-à-la-carte, that is, if they are still practicing Islam at all or in any way.

This is a really stupid comment on your part. Comments like yours definitely reduce the lowest common denominator factor here at JW, a site, I might add, which is above the norm for Internet sites for intelligent and informed comments, however controversial.
Alas, your ridiculous comment, and it is absurd, contributes to a devolution of this site. For this you should be ashamed but I’m sure you won’t be. I am also certain that you could not in the least defend your stupid statement with any cogent evidence. But give it a shot. Waiting. (And Terry, why take the cheap shot you did by agreeing with this person? If all you have to say about the Catholic Church is that it is a “brother in pedophilia,” well then I don’t think the glory of Erigena’s thinking, ditto for Anselm, Aquinas, William of Ockham, or that of Duns Scotus, never mind the artistic religious excellence of the Romanesque, Gothic, Italian Renaissance or Baroque periods, is of any importance to you. If so, then so sad.)

My comment about brothers in pedophile- some time back, I did a google search (I know, they are anti-western ) and there were cases in over a dozen cases of sex abuse by Catholic clergy. Ireland was one that had a history going back decades; longer than in the US-(or, at least longer then has been acknowledged in the US).
A brief story-when I went to a Jesuit univrsity ( late 1960’s-early 1970’s). I had a job, and took as many morning classes as I could, to make it easier for me on my job.
One class that I had to take ( required) MARRIAGE AND THE FAMILY. (There was one class for Catholics, another for non-catholics). The class for Catholics was 8:30 in the morning; non Catholics 3:30 in the afternoon. Although not beign catholic, I took that class. The teacher was a senile ( but tenured) priest. He spoke often about his niece and nephew-who were siblings. They deeply loved each other- and went to him for ‘religious guidance”. he told them to move to another state, and one should be sterilized so that they cannot ahve children, and just appear to be married. HE TOLD THIS TO EVERY CLASS THAT HE HAD. ( When I was in the army, I knew a few fellow alumni form the school, one or two ahead of me, and one a year behind me. They were all catholic, all ahd him at different times, all heard the smae story).
I hope ( for the sake of the children) that these things have ended-abuse is a terrible thing, especially when done to a young child- and done by someone of authority.

How many of them are not complicit in jihadism by their refusal to condemn it? Three? Okay, don’t condemn those three (who are nonexistent, statistically speaking).

By the way, in one of his interviews, Malachi Martin just in passing predicted Brexit– he said (can’t recall exact words) “at the last minute the UK would resist the increasingly fascist EU, and make a vigorous attempt leave to preserve British sovereignty; but he [Martin] did not know if it would succeed.”

We are living in times of the Apocalypse. Specifically Chapters 8-13. We are living in the time of the prophecied, “great apostasy” –young people no longer “do” religion, and churches are closing down, there are no longer many vocations to the priesthood, girls don’t want to be “real nuns” (not feminist left-wing social workers) any more. So all this was foreseen. Christ said, “Blessed is he who perseveres [in the faith, despite persecutions] to the end”
So yes, we have many corrupt bishops / priests who no longer care about saving souls from damnation.

Father Samir: Egypt’s Palm Sunday Terror Reflects a Sickness Within Islam
This is according to Jesuit Father Samir Khalil Samir, professor of Islamic studies at the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome, who says it is false when people say such attacks have nothing to do with Islam. “ISIS is not doing anything which is neither in the Quran nor in the Mohammedan tradition,” he says.

“ISIS is the application of what is taught. It’s not outside Islam, or something invented. No, they are applying Islam. When we hear it has nothing to do with Islam — that it means salaam; that it means peace — this is all false. It’s not true. ISIS is not doing anything which is neither in the Quran nor in the Mohammedan tradition. Everything is taken after a decision taken by an imam. A mufti and imam will say this is or is not allowed.”

There are many good comments of which the truth is not conjecture. Most of the comments have merit.
The Vatican serves Lucifer because we have that on record. The Vatican is now controlled by Jesuits and we have the Jesuit Oath on record and we know that it is evil and there is a clear connection to Islamic philosophy. We also know of the history of Child Abuse. However, that is more predominent at the Vatican than in the Church itself. It is sensationalized at the Church level because the Vatican has not provided good guidance and tried to hide it.
The Catholic Church, on the other hand, has become more Bible Oriented. To negate the Bible, the Vatican is now confirming that Christians must belong to the Church and that the Church is the authority rather than the Bible.
What we are seeing is a continuing split of the Church away from the Vatican.
I hope those considerations are helpful.

Who is the mysterious “Harlot” of Revelation 17? This is a puzzle to millions of people—and even to many theologians. Yet the Word of God devotes most of an entire chapter—plus many references elsewhere—to this vital topic.
Whoever this great “Harlot” is, she is very powerful. She has, and will in the future, martyr untold millions of human beings. She is destined to dramatically change the lives of every one of you who read this This Harlot sits astride a system encompassing many nations and peoples, “Then he said to me, ‘The waters which you saw, where the Harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues’” (Revelation 17:15). And she continues to exist right up to the Second Coming of Christ! For God’s Word describes the “ten horns” or ten kings (v. 12) which will arise at that time: “These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful…. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire” (vv. 14, 16).
The great Harlot—”rides” the Beast (modern Babylon). She is clearly set forth as being distinctly separate from the Beast—the empire with ten final kings giving their power and authority to one super-dictator also called the “Beast.” Obviously, the woman cannot “ride” the Beast and at the same time be the Beast!
Many scholars do realize, however, that the Beast of Revelation 17 is the Roman Empire and its “revivals” in various forms.
Please understand. Through-out the New Testament, the term “woman” is used as a symbol for a church.
So when we come to the “woman” of Revelation 17, it should be very obvious that—letting the Bible interpret its own symbols—this woman is indeed a church. However, this church, “sitting on a scarlet beast” (v. 3) is truly a spiritual “harlot.”
For she has entered into adulterous alliances with the leaders and kings of this world (v. 2). And the inhabitants of the earth are made spiritually “drunk” because of her false teachings. She is a “mother” church—giving birth to spiritual “harlots” (v. 5). And, as indicated, she deals in “mysteries,” as did the ancient pagan religions before her.
Also, this “woman” is a great persecuting church. For John was inspired to write, “I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement” (v. 6). Please think about that.
Historically, do we read about a great church that did persecute millions of people during the Middle Ages? Did such a church actually exist?
So when John saw this “woman” or apostate church “drunk with the blood of the saints,” he was certainly not exaggerating. Even scores of Catholic writers have been mightily embarrassed about what their church practiced for hundreds of years. For with the vast record of priests sodomizing young men, of many popes openly maintaining mistresses and fathering illegitimate children all over Italy, high offices in the church being offered and bought for money—it has seemed to many objective historians that this powerful church was the veritable embodiment of evil in nearly every aspect.
The prophet Daniel was inspired to describe this foul religious system as a “little horn.” After describing the four great ruling kingdoms of the Gentile world—Babylon, Medo-Persia, Alexander’s Greco-Macedonian Empire and finally Rome—Daniel then describes a “little horn” coming up among the early resurrections of the Roman Empire: “I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.” (Daniel 7:8).
In verses 25–27 of this same chapter, Daniel is inspired to describe the actions of this pompous “little horn” and how it would last right up to Christ’s return and His rule over the nations: “He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time. But the court shall be seated, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and destroy it forever. Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.”
Notice that this “little horn” is different from the pagan empire (v. 24), for it is, in fact, a religious empire! Note also that the human leader of this foul system speaks “pompous words” against God, persecutes the true Christians and intends to change times and law. This is a direct reference to the fact that the Catholic Church fostered the idea that the Ten Commandments were subsumed to church authority and that they changed God’s commanded seventh-day Sabbath (Exodus 20:8–11; Hebrews 4:9–11). They substituted the pagan “day of the sun” in place of God’s Sabbath.
Renowned modern historian Will Durant writes, “The serious temper of the Jewish Sabbath was transferred to the Christian Sunday that replaced it in the second century” (The Story of Civilization, vol. 3, 1972, p. 599). How did this happen? A Roman Catholic study course tells us that “the [Roman] Church transferred the obligation from Saturday to Sunday” (Father Smith Instructs Jackson). The Catholic Mirror agrees: “The Catholic Church… by virtue of her Divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday” (Sept. 23, 1893).
As this system developed, a “man of sin” would be revealed—audaciously taking to himself titles and authority that belong only to God. He was to sit as a veritable “god” in the temple of God—using some of the very titles of God. In fact, though Jesus called God “Holy Father,” Catholics call the pope Most Holy Father” and “Vicar of Christ”—which literally means “in place of Christ”!
Few realize that the so-called “Holy” Roman Empire is being revived right under our noses! Throughout most of continental Europe, there is a great push for full European unity. And one of the major players in this geopolitical chess game is—you guessed it!—the pope himself.
Although the Bible certainly does not indicate that the final pope will be the “emperor” of this revived Holy Roman Empire; it does show that he will be the “power behind the throne. So, as many popes did during the Middle Ages, he will use the power of the state—the “Beast”—to force His will on the entire western world!
So they not only admit, but even insist that they are the “mother” of all churches”! And they insist also that they alone have the “keys” to God’s Kingdom! Truly, it is time to wake up!
It is time for all who believe in God to go back and prove whether their religious beliefs and practices actually came out of the Bible—or out of “Babylon.” For the Creator God tells all who will heed, “‘For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.’ And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ‘come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues’” (Revelation 18:3–4).
As Jesus said, “Watch.” Keep your eyes on this revival of the Holy Roman Empire. “Watch” how it slowly but surely begins to gain total power in most of Europe—then Central and South America and finally most of the entire world. “Watch” how other churches are, bit by bit, coaxed, persuaded or finally coerced into going back to the “mother” church. Will we also turn aside from the God of the Bible?
Pray for real understanding, faith and courage. Obey Jesus’ instruction, “Watch therefore, and pray always that we may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36).
Genuinely study your Bible as never before follow Paul’s inspired admonition, “prove all things, hold fast that which is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21, KJV).

Learn your history. It took ~400 years before the Catholic Church responded to Muslim aggression with the 1st Crusade. Before the 1st Crusade, countless lives were lost as Islam spread across the formerly Christian Mideast, North Africa, parts of Asia, and into the Iberian Peninsula. It should be apparent that the Church will move very slowly in response to Muslim aggression.
It is also true that many of the current leaders in the Catholic Church are very far left politically.
It is also true that Bishops acted horrendously by hiding pedophile priests.
It is also quite a cheap shot to equate Bishops who hid molester priests with today’s Bishops who refuse to condemn Islam or allow this view to be presented in the Church.
Yes, the Church does have its “official positions” on issues of faith and morals. We call those ‘doctrine.’ Even with the current leftists, modernists, etc. in charge of the Church, they still cannot change doctrine. And by the way, the Church has always been under such attack, for example the Arian heresy ~320 AD.
Outside of doctrine, political opinions by religious can very substantially, and thus many Bishops will be wrong. The author has “named names” of those Bishops who don’t agree with him. Too bad. There are those Bishops who do agree. Perhaps it would be better to work with them issuing of a public grip session. Grow up.

Bishops in both groups behaved in ways that are/were sure to result in the damage or death of their flocks.
Why is it a cheap shot to equate one with the other?
And what will the parishioners think of the protection of Islam by their church, when they are on the receiving end of Islamic violence?

The Church is not protecting Islam. It is utter nonsense to think that the Church protects terrorists. There are different ways to deal with the problem. You have your approach, but there are others. Since these approaches are all intended to reduce or eliminate violence, they are all morally justifiable.

I have had the displeasure of confronting two Catholic priests in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area on the issue of Islam and the “We all pray to the same God” mantra that they preach. NOT!!!! I have also had discussions with two other priests and a high ranking diocesan priest on the subject. These two latter priests appeared unwilling to discuss the issue further.
Here is my analysis. The Quran is supposed to be the word of the allah god to Muhammad via the angel Gabriel. The hate filled Quran teachings against unbelievers are 180 degrees opposite Christ’s teachings in the Gospels of love and forgiveness. The Quran says that allah has no sons. The Quran says that Jesus never said He is the Son of God and that Jesus did not die on the cross, both LIES against the Gospels. Jesus says in John 8:44 that SATAN is the father of all lies. I conclude from the above factual info and Jesus’ words that the allah god of Islam is SATAN and for a priest (or anyone) to say we all pray to the same God is blasphemy to equate Islam’s allah god to the Father of Jesus and the God of Abraham.
It seems, from my discussions, that obedience to the Catholic Church hierarchy is more important than obedience to the Gospel truth. Jesus said, i came to testify to the TRUTH…and Pilate said, “What is truth? Just as Jesus had harsh words for the Jewish leadership in His day, I believe He would have harsh words for the Catholic Church leadership. Also Paul confronted Peter in ACTS so we Catholic sheep are not to follow blindly.
One final point, to say we all pray to the “same God” and that Islam is an Abrahamic religion is just a claim made by Islam to gain credence as a religion. In times of Muslim persecution of Christians, weak Christians will likely become Muslims “since the Church says ‘We all pray to the same God'”…and no Muslim will come to faith in Christ since they are taught that Christians are unbelievers and worthy of hell fire. Current day Turkey, the home of the Seven Churches of Revelations, is 99.8% Muslim today.

One more point. My wife says Catholic priests are kowtowing to the Pope’s line because of fear for their jobs and they would have a hard time finding another. If the Muslim’s knife were at their throats telling them to accept Islam and Muhammad and deny Jesus Christ, the Son of God, would they do so? Losing one’s life is a greater incentive to accept Islam that losing one’s job.

The sacred Council now pleads with all to forget the past, and urges that a sincere effort be made to achieve mutual understanding; for the benefit of all men, let them together preserve and promote peace, liberty, social justice and moral values.”
“Therefore, the Church reproves, as foreign to the mind of Christ, any discrimination against people or any harassment of them on the basis of their …. religion.”
Having lost half of Christendom, the Vatican has submitted that the other half must not remember what Islam has done and must not utter any words that would criticise Islam or Muslims.
