Why not? Fear of being considered “Islamophobic”?
“University of Iowa student charged with threat of terrorism,” by Stephen Gruber-Miller, Press Citizen, May 1, 2017 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):
A University of Iowa student has been charged with threat of terrorism after police say he threatened to bring a gun to graduation.
Soliman Obaid B. Altamimi, 25, went to the university’s International Programs Office at the University Capitol Center around 11:30 a.m. on Friday and asked to make a speech at the graduation ceremony, according to UI police complaints. When staff told Altamimi he couldn’t give a speech, he replied that he “will bring a gun to the final ceremony.”
Altamimi admitted to officers that he made the statement, the complaints state.
Police say Altamimi made a similar statement on Nov. 11, 2016, when he said he would bring a gun to the International Programs Office and shoot international students.
Online court records do not show any charges resulting from that incident.
Regarding the November incident, UI officials said in an email that UI police received a report at the time from another student who shared concerns about Altamimi’s statements.
“Those concerns were taken seriously and UIPD followed up with Mr. Altamimi at that time,” university spokesperson Tricia Brown said in the email.
Sweeping changes to Iowa’s gun laws signed by Gov. Terry Branstad last month created confidentiality for firearms permit holders, making it impossible to verify whether Altamimi has a permit to own or carry a firearm.
UI officials described Altamimi as a non-degree seeking student in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is currently enrolled as a student, UI confirmed….

Twenty-five years of age and obviously having a deep-seeded hate for American life, along with a severe case of very low self-esteem. Everything is swell with this individual until he receives even the tiniest hint of rejection, then he will nurse a dangerous vendetta.
This is a spoiled brat for whom higher education in America will never do anything positive, because anything positive he gains here will be negated by a life of indoctrination he has buried deep and which he brought with him.
Why does he need to be a student at U.of Iowa? He is in a “non-degree” course, therefore he’s taking up time and space, between threats to shoot international students as soon as he’s riled. And, if he’s ever loose with a gun, it won’t be international students only who are subjected to jeopardy.
Since his “hate” so easily comes to the surface, he should be tossed out of that school, escorted by police if need be, and from any other American school. He should be attending a school in his own native surroundings! The tuition collected by U.I. cannot be so significant as to tolerate threats/intimidation from this jerk.

Good portions of the begining of your post could apply equally well to many native born American snowflakes. Rejection and they throw temper tantrums a two year old would be proud of.
But. The slime does not belong here

This 25 year potential murderer/terrorist is being cherished and nursed off America’s liberal institutional tit for one thing: his money. Just remember: there are thousands like him enrolled in universities and colleges across America.

This is preposterous and could never happen. Everyone knows that Universities in the United States are Gun Free Zones and students cannot be attacked in these places.
The the author takes at the laws protecting privacy of firearms owners:
“Sweeping changes to Iowa’s gun laws signed by Gov. Terry Branstad last month created confidentiality for firearms permit holders, making it impossible to verify whether Altamimi has a permit to own or carry a firearm.”
Despite what the author says, I am pretty sure the police or Iowa permit issuing authority can verify who has a permit to purchase or carry a firearm. It is the nosey,,prying, privacy destroying, anti-gun leftist media that cannot verify it (and then publish homeowner addresses to the world like the media did up in Westchester County in NY and other places). Anyhow, permits are generally not required anywhere for long arms (except for NYC, that bastion of unconstitutional tyranny). The permit requirement is usually for handgun owners. So the author’s complaint is completely pointless as it relates to a rifle or shotgun. And whether the media can access private citizen information is irrelevant to the potential threat posed by the person charged. Just another shrill and pointless anti-Second Amendment screech from an ill-informed reporter.

Sounds like he is an international student and not a US citizen. That will make him ineligible to carry a gun (permit or no). But, Obama probably let him slide in November. No such luck for the muzzy this time around!

Boot all of the Muslims back, and let them decimate their own.

What is wrong with homeland security? Why aren’t they doing their job? This man had evil intentions and they ignored it. Send him back to his native land and let them deal with him.

Can’t they even pretend to be decent and civil? They’re so full of themselves and their supposed superiority that they don’t even try to behave normally.

How’d you like having this nutjob sitting next to you in class?
Would you give him any grade lower than a A- if you were the prof?
If/when he does show up and caps a few people are you (Univeristy President) ready to take the blame?
Assault by threat should be enough to send him packing tout de suite if he is deportable or to jail if he’s not.
How about it General Kelly? any action you can take to make the Homeland a bit more secure?
