Iran always couches its determination to destroy Israel in Islamic terms, based on the Qur’anic exhortation to “drive them out from where they drove you out” (2:191). Yet the Islamic motivation for the destruction of Israel is routinely discounted by Western analysts.
“Leader: Fighting against Israel Every Muslim’s Duty,” Tasnim News Agency, June 26, 2017:
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei highlighted the plight of Palestinians, saying all Muslims are obliged to campaign against the Zionist regime of Israel “in any possible way”.
Addressing a huge gathering of people from different social strata and high-ranking officials in Tehran on Monday on the occasion of the Muslim festival of Eid al-Fitr, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the importance of the Palestinian issue and described plots to make it fade into oblivion as “a great danger”.
“According to the Islamic jurisprudence, in the face of domination of the enemy on the Islamic land, all Muslims are obliged to fight in any way possible, and for this reason, it is imperative for all Muslims to fight against the Zionist regime,” the Leader said.
“Palestine is the top concern for the Muslim world, but some Islamic countries are acting in a way so that the Palestinian issue would be ignored and forgotten,” the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei further praised the Iranian people’s nationwide rallies on Friday, held in support of Palestinians on the occasion of the International Quds Day, as “an honorable example of Islamic unity”.
“This is what Islamic unity actually means, that is, fasting Shiites take to the streets so magnificently and express empathy and sympathy with the Palestinians, who are Sunnis,” the Leader went on to say….

It is important to point out to JW readers that the best way to destroy the belief system of Islam (without shooting a single bullet in anger) is to Discredit Muhammad as a prophet and the alleged divine origin of his Quran
To achieve this SIMPLE act, we need all the media to demand a prime time DEBATE between Robert Spencer (for example) or even IQ al Rassooli (better still the two together) against TWELVE of the foremost Muslims on the planet!
I promise you all, that we can achieve our goal in LESS than 15 minutes based entirely on Muhammad’s Quran
Tragically, this is almost impossible to happen because our media is more treacherous and insidious to all of us than all the Muslims combined

I wish it was true but twelve of the foremost Muslims on the planet are not open to rational thought otherwise they would not be twelve of the foremost muslims on the planet.
There are many debates on You Tube between great brains like Richard Dawkins,Douglas Murray and many brave and intelligent ex-muslim women open to the worlds muslims but as Douglas Murray once said it is like debating with the slowest child in the class

there is no Muhammds quran as the first quran was written some 20-40 years after his death. There ware only some collected histories written buy some folks around him during his life. Muhammad could not read nor write. The Quran has been rewritten several times since then. Not even written in one place and then sent by camels around the middle east. Not even the name Quran came from Muhammad… What we see today is something very different from the time he lived. Muhammad lived in peace with both christians and jews in Medina – former Yathrib and he was poisoned by a jewish woman year 632. But I am sure as there are so many different historys written about this man that things can be seen different from time to time… To say things about Muhammad as a real fact cant be done as there are lots of contradicions around as well…

All true. If only Muslims understood this.

It should be that simple. But even if that debate were ever to take place in the mainstream media, which is highly unlikely, many Muslims and many politically correct infidels (mostly my fellow Lefties) would refuse to acknowledge the crushing defeat that someone like Robert Spencer could deliver to the Muslim apologists.
But some of the more honest, open-minded people would be won over to our cause; so that sort of debate in the MSM would certainly be worthwhile.

I wrote this comment yesterday, in response to an earlier article reporting Iran’s near-monomaniacal obsession with the destruction of Israel:
I believe the chief reason for the Iranian obsession to destroy Israel derives from the Mullahs’ apocalyptic belief in the need to bring the Hidden Imam out of occultation so that Judgment Day may finally come. But there is another sine qua non for this to occur: the need for Muslims to fight and kill the Jews, in accordance with the important hadith found in the collections of both Muslim and al-Bukhari: :Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Muhammed say that Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, who will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: ‘O Muslim! O slave of Allah! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him!’ All but the gharqad tree (will cry out thusly), for it is the tree of the Jews. (Muslim, Bk. 41, #6985) This hadith is also incorporated into the HAMAS charter. Implementation of Islamic practices and precepts are foremost to the government of Iran, and this hadith, which is well-known and canonical to Muslims, explains and justifies Iran’s especial hatred of Israel. The importance of this hadith cannot be discounted or ignored.
Of course, there are other reasons for Iran’s intense animus to the existence of a Jewish state, but I think a case can be made that Iran’s apocalyptic goal, i.e. to hasten the arrival of The Last Day, is primary.

@commonsense It’s tempting to assign theological motives to the theocratic Iranian regime. But the Iranian theocrats are also exceptionally skillful political operators as well. The timing seems very political to me.
Consider that the other Gulf Arab states and Egypt are ganging up on Qatar for its close ties to Iran. Its also no secret that several of these countries have made discreet diplomatic overtures to Israel using the old “ememy of my enemy” logic. Iran is making an appeal over the heads of Arab governments directly to the Arab masses, who uniformly hate Israel and hate Jews, and by doing so seeking to further de-legitimize those Arab goverments in the eyes of their people.
Sorry, but the religious justification is just a convenient veneer, and has to be seen as such in the current Mid-East political environment

The brainless ibrahim itace muhammed wrote:
Did Jesus record even (sic) word of your present bible (sic) or any of his disciples record ed (sic) same in his presence like you (sic) confirmed that the Quran in the presence of prophet muhammad (sic)?
………………………………
It’s the usual from ibrahim itace muhammed–one of this coreligionists vows bloody death, and he is instead nattering on on legalistic matters he believes invalidate Christianity. One must assume that he is fine with the destruction of civilized Israel and the genocide of the Jews. But then, why wouldn’t he be?
As for the above, it is widely known–and something even the largely illiterate muhammed could have Googled–that the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were written down within a few decades of Jesus’s death. There was no reason to record them in Jesus presence, because the events were well-known to Jesus himself, as well as most of the rest of the small Christian community.
It was only after Jesus’ death that the faith grew and needed to be transmitted to many who had not directly known Jesus.
Matthew and John were two of the original twelve apostles, who had known Jesus intimately. Mark was a young teenager during Jesus lifetime, and tradition has it that his family were followers of Jesus and that he had heard the Lord preach. Luke came to the faith later, though Paul, and notes that he spoke with many of the Apostles and the eyewitnesses to key events in Christ’s life.
This is all quite well known.
Also, some might wonder at the reference to “your present bible”–this has to do with the Muslim claim that the Bible was just as vicious as is the Qur’an until Jews and Christians supposedly altered it. Never mind that this is completely ahistorical.
As for the absurd claim that ‘we confirmed’ that Muhammed’s followers took down the Qur’an in his presence, that simply makes no sense. The only “confirmation” of any such thing are Islamic Hadith. Just as there is no proof that the Qur’an was recited from Allah to the “Prophet” Muhammed by the “Angel Gabriel” save for Muhammed’s own claims, all such claims are self referential.
But this is par for the course for Islam. How do we know that there is no other book in the world the equal of the vile Qur’an? Why, because it says so–right there in the Qur’an…
That ibraham itace muhammed believes that this circular logic is proof of anything just confirms his appallingly low level of reasoning. This, however, if also mainstream Islam.

I live in Israel and have lived through many wars and seen the anti Israel (anti Jew) Palestinian propoganda machine in action.. spinning everything to make Israel into a villian.
On YouTube I often reply to people who see the problem of Islam, but do not see that they have been sucked into the propoganda. I try to show people the truth of what is happening.. but it’s like talking to someone who is ideologically possessed. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Iran loves Al Quads Day just as every other Theocratic and Despotic Courtry in the World. The reasons are clear. It makes the Muslim Countries appear concerned for the Palestinians, yet provide only a small monetary donation. It maintains the Palestinian status as refugee since Muslim countries limit their ability to integrate into Muslim Countries but this misses the formula to select real problems as home.
The Palestinian’s worst enemy are their Muslim brothers and sisters who deny you a path toward citizenship with full rights. No, it’s better to give you one day a year, tough and then keep you down.
Al Quads Day I love it it show the total failure over 70. Years because they don’t deal with Israel directly. You’re still controlled 100% Iran Saudi Arabia Egypt Jordan and previously Syria and Iraq
