Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Egypt: Churches halt all activities for the rest of July because of the jihad terror threat

Jul 15, 2017 10:07 am By Robert Spencer

Will the Islamophobia never end?

“Churches In Egypt Halt All Activities For Remainder Of July Amid Terror Threat,” by Joshua Gill, Daily Caller News Foundation, July 14, 2017 (thanks to the Geller Report):

Egyptian churches announced Thursday they will suspend all church activities for the remainder of July per warnings of looming terrorist attacks.

The Evangelical, Coptic Orthodox, and Catholic churches agreed to halt services, conferences, and any church trips to protect their congregations after Egyptian security forces warned them of impending Islamic terrorist attacks, according to a Friday report from Egyptian Streets.

“The decision was taken by the three churches after they had consulted security sources,” a church leader told Al-Masry Al-Youm. “It’s important to protect Christians and their gatherings.”

Churches in Alexandria, however, opted instead to continue their services with stricter security, including police checks, private church security checks, and metal detectors, according to Al-Masry Al-Youm….

This is indeed tragic and a sign of the times. Daesh is responsible and hopefully will be cleansed out of Egypt and the Middle East in general.

      Uh, right.

What about the centuries of slaughter of Christians in the Middle East before ISIS existed–and all the non-Daesh Muslims murdering Christians today? Pretending that the only problem is Daesh and not the texts and tenets of Islam is absurd.

We disagree, I think the main problem is Daesh and like-minded groups. I believe that others like the Muslim brotherhood can encourage hate towards Christians and non-Muslims but nothing compared to the current jihadist ideology.

I could be wrong of course, but it appears that even for fellow jihadists, some of Daesh’s actions are difficult to justify through Islam. Thanks

Some Jihadists consider ISIS a rival–that’s about it.

As horrific is ISIS–or Daesh, if you prefer–is, they did *not* invent violent Jihad. Hell, they didn’t even commit atrocities like 9/11.

Jihad Watch was around for about eight years before Daesh ever reared its evil head, as you well know. Pretending that there was no problem with Muslims slaughtering Christians and other Infidels before Daesh came along is absurd.

It’s truly sad that evil gets its way by threatening and murdering any who disagree.

Jesus and His early disciples were persecuted and killed by the evil of those who disagreed. He warned that it would be especially difficult to be a Christian in these last days of this wicked world, when satan the devil has great anger and a short time to express it.

The moslum savages, sons of demons, are doing the devil’s work, expressing his evil anger..

There is a news story out today on allies of the pope and it is reporting on these allies as they criticize “religious Trump supporters” for expressing feelings against “migrants” and in favor of a “wall.” The pope’s “top allies’ compare the migrant issue to “hippies.”

Guess if they had known about these churches when they wrote their criticisms of Trump supporters, they would have included these religious people in Egypt in their criticism for closing the churches due to fear of terrorism.

The pope needs to lead by example. He should tear down the Vatican walls (built to keep out the muslim invaders) and let all the “immigrants” swamping Italy swarm into his “safe space.”

This sounds very much like what was happening during the first 300 years of Christianity. Unfortunately, the quality of Bishops of Rome was probably higher then.

Ironically, the Coptic Christians were in Egypt before the Muslims

Lord have mercy on them and protect them..

This is not ironic, Kate. This is what Islam does–invades, conquers, and then uses the original Infidel inhabitants as virtual slaves. Then–after some centuries–all of them have been driven out, kidnapped and forced to convert, or murdered outright.

There are only about 10% of Coptic and other Christians surviving in Egypt today–it is a tribute to their bravery and tenacity that they have survived this long–the same is not true for many surrounding Muslim countries.,

I know the early Christians due to persecution held secret meetings and did things in hiding that way to preserve the faith. There were also some brave souls who kept going above ground. All I know is that I will continue going exactly as I am today, going to church, Christian meetings, celebrations and festivities, you name it! They won’t stop me and I am not afraid. If they ask me, I will boldly say that I am a Christian and the only verses they will hear from me are from the Bible. I would probably start with John 3; 16 and go down my list.

Another example of history repeating: Masonic organizations “went dark” in Nazi and Communist countries. Hitler and Himmler listed Masons along with Jews in the priority to silence. Please note that freemasonry is not and has never identified itself as a church or religion, but is a fraternity (a place where good men meet) that is supposed to bring together good men of all faiths who will seek the common goal of peaceful advancement. The American Revolution was largely a Masonic event, as were many of the South and Central American revolutions.

I will believe that Islam is a religion of peace when every imam declares to the faithful that if a Muslim kills another human being in the name of Allah, they will go straight to Hell.

  12. FRANK LOSOS says

What is the worst sin in any religion? Is it not to do evil in the name of God?

    • Frank Anderson says

      Jul 16, 2017 at 8:58 am

Mr. Losos, it appears both of us know that the definition of evil depends on which “religion” is being considered. Is there a “religion” that teaches murder, slavery, theft, rape, mutilation, child abuse. . . are all in fulfillment of the wishes of the “Perfect Man” and the “god” he speaks for? To a Muslim, any Muslim, evil is failing to do what is commanded by Allah and his “Prophet”. Other religions teach the opposite. Which leads to better lives?

      • somehistory says

        Jul 16, 2017 at 4:50 pm

One of them…the one teaching horrendous things and evil actions are pleasing to their ‘god’… doesn’t lead to ‘life’…it leads to death.

Death for the worshipper and his/her victims.

        • Frank Anderson says

          Jul 16, 2017 at 7:25 pm

Some, I think you get the point. Religion seeks better lives for its followers while Islam promotes death both for followers and “Infidels”.

    • gravenimage says

      Jul 18, 2017 at 12:13 am

Frank, the sorts of things Islam considers evil is for Infidels and women to live free of oppression, and to refrain from slaughtering those who don’t submit to Islam.
