Khaula Hadeed of Hamas-linked CAIR said it was “un-American” to say Islam was a “false religion.”
So apparently now you have to believe that Islam is true in order to be an American.
Certainly there are plenty of Americans who seem to assume that — witness the cancellation of atheist Richard Dawkins last week for criticizing Islam.
“Roy Moore ‘un-American’ for calling Islam a ‘false religion,’ Alabama Muslims say,” by Howard Koplowitz, Al.com, July 25, 2017:
Roy Moore’s remarks last night calling Islam a “false religion” was “un-American” speech, the Alabama chapter of a Muslim civil liberties organization said Tuesday.
The Alabama chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations also extended an invitation to the former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice and U.S. Senate candidate to visit a mosque following his comments.
Moore made the statement in response to a question at the North Jefferson County Republican Club about concerns that Sharia law could be implemented in the United States.
“False religions like Islam, who teach that ‘you must worship this way,’ are completely opposite with what our First Amendment stands for,” Moore said during a the club’s meeting Monday night at Jim ‘N Nick’s BBQ in Gardendale.
Khaula Hadeed, executive director of CAIR-Alabama, released a statement Tuesday afternoon inviting Moore to visit a mosque during his Senate campaign. She cited a verse from the Quran that she said called on the religion’s followers to respond to hurtful acts with kindness.
“Statements that espouse Islamophobia and cast out fellow Alabamians, implying that they do not have the same rights under the law, are unAmerican,” said CAIR-Alabama Executive Director Khaula Hadeed in a statement. “We invite Judge Roy Moore to visit a mosque, meet with Alabamian Muslims, and learn about their Islamic faith and about the Muslim constituents he intends to serve as a representative. As a candidate for Senate, this is perhaps the best time for him to do so.”…
Todd Schiebel says
It’s a religion. It’s just one that kills.
JawsV says
It’s not a religion. Jihad prohibits Islam from being a religion. It’s a mass-murder cult.
If Islam’s a religion then crocodiles are herbivores.
“Decency forbids calling it a religion.” — Margaret Thatcher, about Islam (2002).
gravenimage says
Jaws, not all religions are good. People have engaged in human sacrifice and murdered their own children in the name of evil religions. Islam is just the same.
Mark Swan says
Absolutely, gravenimage.
Islam certainly is religiously followed, and enjoys a status as THE SPECIAL RELIGION.
Mr. Moore, a former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice makes the point it is false, because it supersedes constitutional law to allow Sharia law could be implemented in the United States.
“False religions like Islam, who teach that ‘you must worship this way,’ are completely opposite with what our First Amendment stands for”
Wanting to enforce religious law on others is a false desire for freedom of religion.
gravenimage says
True, Mark.
PRCS says
It’s a religion.
And so much more.
Jim says
But the evidence that it is false has been growing for several years now. Most notable is the research on and carbon-dating of Islam’s earliest Korans, which now show that, among other things, the Koran may have been written even before Mohammed was born (so how does one justify the claim that the angel Gabriel brought it to Mohammed?). Moreover, close examination by scholars (including some of the most respected Islamic scholars in the world) reveal that the handful of “original” Koranic texts don’t even agree with each other — could it be possible that men, not Allah, actually came up with the Koran and wrote it in a fashion that satisfied their, not Allah’s, individual desires at the time?
Mark Swan says
Just as National Characteristics Do Exist…Nations Are Not All The Same…Religions Are Not All The Same…those involved in inventing this Muslim system who labeled it a religion of God…they had a chance to observe The Popular Professing Christian Movement of their time which was underway for hundreds of years by the time the Muslim Movement began…This Professing Christian Religion Was Run By Rome…the Romans usurped It from True Christianity which was completely driven into hiding by the third century…Rome was an influence upon these fledgling Muslims…the Muslim movement did observe Religion could be used as a Cohesive Control of the Masses…observing the Romans Doing just That successfully…the Muslim system…was conceived to suit the purpose of those who helped put it together over time…and has shown it is effective for what it was purposed….having this Islam taught from birth can be a very powerful form of brainwashing…to be forced to practice it insures it will not wear off…making it obligatory in public for a show of reciting mindless gibberish is a strong social infliction…to not allow a private search for God is monstrous at best.
A Social System Based On This can produce citizens that outwardly seem complacent but inwardly have hard hearts and damaged minds. Because they are aggressively infesting other cultures, they are bound to exasperate the already worsening world conditions.
PRCS says
Jim,
“could it be possible that men, not Allah, actually came up with the Koran and wrote it in a fashion that satisfied their, not Allah’s, individual desires at the time?”
Of that, there is no doubt.
gravenimage says
Mark, I always respect your posts. But the idea that Islam learned its savagery from Christianity–or even what you consider a false Christianity–I do not consider to be the case.
Muhammed was not so much inspired by the papacy, which he had no close contact with, but by ruthless warlords in his own Arabia.
Mark Swan says
Yes, gravenimage, ok.
No one said Islam learned its savagery from Christianity—it saw how a control
of the masses was possible, through religion, by observing the very thing Rome had
done for centuries—-what I consider a false Christianity is the mixture of Church and
State, that, Rome had used. No one said he was inspired by the papacy, what I did say,
was, he had plenty of examples of how the Roman system did work, very effectively,
and it surely had appeal to those who put together this Islam, which appears on the
heals of the Roman system.
You do not have to agree with everything I say—my skin is thicker than that.
When I like and respect someone, that does not change, for me.
We are still good, here.
gravenimage says
Hi, Mark–thanks for your reply.
We’ll have to agree to disagree on this point–but, as you note, this is not a big deal.
Hope you are doing well. 🙂
Lawrence Deans says
Well said. I have read a great deal about Muhammad and he was a psychotic, murderous, pedophilic thug. Islam is a fraud. Phony religion.
PRCS says
Essentially, a mishmash of (primarily) Judaism and Christianity. A plagiarism of them.
Here’s an interesting article concerning Qur’an 5:26–5:32 (Islam’s rewrite of the Jewish tale of Cain and Abel).
http://www.answering-islam.org/Quran/Sources/cain.html
Lawrence Deans says
I would agree, if we are only considering The Old Testament. But this is a big part of the problem with Islam, it has never had a Reformation.
gravenimage says
And of course, Islam missed all of the beauty, profundity, and compassion of Judaism and Christianity.
It is true that Islam brought nothing new except savagery.
Mark Swan says
Yes gravenimage, a concoction of savage thinking could produce nothing other than savagery.
Spike says
Why does every one want to call islam a religion, all of its characteristics are that of a sick cult? Its like calling scientology a religion when we know its a cult. It’s a (very large) hate group, no more, no less.
Terry says
Spike, I AM NOT A SCIENTOLOGIST, and the few ( 2 to be exact) people that I know or knew who are or were involved in it were not haters.
I LIVE IN THE AREA THAT IS EITHER THEIR WORLD OR EASTERN US HEADQUARTERS–CLEARWATER, FL.
They are not violent; peaceful and friendly.
A few years ago, I was involved with a firm that did certain construction work. There was an article in a newspaper that a Scientology owned property was going to have to do this type of construction. I called, and met with the head of the department in charge. We had dinner at their headquarters. He told me, and gave me, what they wanted done. The firm I was involved with WHICH HAD NO SCIENTOLOGY MEMBERS was encouraged to bid. we did ( lost, were underbid).
They might be a cult, but are not dangerous.
I would rather have 10,000 more Scientologists here than 100 Muslims. I would be safer.
Benedict says
Islam is a Janus-faced religion: it’s religion as politics and politics as religion. Try to separate these conjoined twins and Islam will die. And that’s why it’s a vain project to try to reform Islam. Islam is, and will always be, the religion of duplicity; it is born that way and the umbilical cord to its treacherous prophet can never be cut.
Louis Schwartz says
Benedict: Excellent Analysis.
harbidoll says
they call the New Testament fake!
Rev g says
It is a religion, a satanic one.
Don Foss says
Respond with “kindness”? Pre-Hijrah teaching, canceled by 2:106 (after Muhammad gains power and an army), not to mention blaspheme laws of sharia and much more. Typical convenient use of duelism, taqiyya, and the Muslims dependence on kuffar ignorance of their so-called “religion.”
Robeaver says
?????????????????????? They all kill. Perhaps not Janeism. I’m pretty sure there is some killing in the Olde testicle of the bible. Sorry, test a mint.. I read the inquisition was only 300 years of torture and muder though. Islam is only 650 but going strong in murder.
My way or the highway(of death). The most violent religion wins!!! Hurray for our side, the Other side is bad, so kill them.
gravenimage says
Rob, you may not have noticed that the only violent religion today is Islam. No one else is killing in the name of their faith.
Rev g says
The inquisition was not what he alleges at all, and was actually a response to Islamic conquest anyways.
somehistory says
The word *religion* means basically, a belief in a supreme authority and worship of thereof.
moslums believe in a *false* god. They worship, but they do not worship the God of the Bible. They do not worship the True Supreme Authority. moslums worship a *false* god, satan the devil. That is why they find it easy to rape, murder, etc. because that is what satan has always done.
This whole thing about it being “unAmerican” to say islum is a ‘false religion’ just shows how stupid, how ignorant, how arrogant, moslums are.
And inviting someone to their barracks so he can be *convinced* that islum is not fake is not…not…a “kindness.”
Alice says
“Religion” means “to bind.’ It has nothing to do with belief. One can believe in God with no religion – I do it all the time!
somehistory says
If you look up definitions of the word *religion* they include “belief.” Your belief then, according to that definition i used, is your religion. If you don’t :worship then, your belief is not a *faith* because faith is an expression of the belief. in worship of the one in whom belief is.
Carolyne says
“Faith” is a belief in something for which their is no proof.
Rev g says
Not at all. You have faith in many things because of evidence less than absolute proof. The more evidence you have the less faith is required. Blind faith implies an absence of any evidence/proof.
somehistory says
The person with faith has all of the “proof” that is needed.
Only people who have faith understand that fact.
somehistory says
And, for those who have rejected a belief in the Supreme Authority, and do not put faith in Him, there would never be enough *proof*. Just as Jesus Christ said when asked for a “sign” to *prove* he was the Son of God, said, “No sign will be given you except the sign of Jonah,” and although they received that sign, they still did not believe Him and did not put faith in Him.
somehistory says
Rev g,
Well stated. 100% true.
Terry says
“False religions like Islam, who teach that ‘you must worship this way,’ are completely opposite with what our First Amendment stands for”.
Yet Islam, alone (as far as I know, in the 21st century) demands that one worship[ their way, or pay extra taxes.
Would the bitch from CAIR be happier if he left out “False” and left the rest of the sentence in, be happier?
Terry says
A senate candidate with balls. AMAZING.
gravenimage says
+1
High Plains says
Make that a +2. Having Judge Roy Moore take over Jeff Sessions former Alabama Senate seat
would be a very good thing for America.
Guest says
It’s not my religion. CAIR’s reaction be damned. I know my rights
somehistory says
Logic and common sense say that when a person has an actual *faith* and a certain way of *worship* they believe will lead them to something better, it makes sense that they think their faith is the only true way to that something better.
If there is one *true* way to that something better, then all other ways that are presented are *false.*
It’s just that moslums are not satisfied to let everyone else make that determination for him/herself. moslums are determined…commanded by islum…to force everyone to agree with them and their *way.* Even those who have already decided what is *true* for them.
That is why they are in disagreement with the First Amendment. And with the True God Who says each one is free to, and must decide Whom to serve…or not.
No Fear says
There have been many violent religions on earth over many millennia. Most of them are gone.
Susan B says
There has never been a more violent cult than islam. NONE!!!
PRCS says
Well, I’m going to disagree.
Islam is but one of extremely violent “religions” throughout mankind’s history.
The Aztecs come to mind.
Richard says
CAIR is a Muslim “civil liberties organization”. How many civil liberties would I, a non-Muslim, enjoy in any one of the 50 OIC countries?
Mark Swan says
Richard, you are right, they would be hard found, if any at all.
Rey Ybarra says
Wow, the coucil of all islamic radicals is enraged!
Ren says
CAIR is enraged to learn the truth. How surprising!
Fair views says
Roy Moors is 100% right to call a spade a spade. It is unAmerican to tell lies.
Can any one believe in a god who said the sun sets in a pool of muddy water and the earth is flat?
PRCS says
No.
CAIR knows the truth.
They’re enraged that a “filthy unbeliever” told the truth—in public.
gravenimage says
Exactly, PRCS.
Mark Swan says
Absolutely, I agree with you both PRCS and gravenimage.

“We invite Judge Roy Moore to visit a mosque, meet with Alabamian Muslims, and learn about their Islamic faith and about the Muslim constituents he intends to serve as a representative. As a candidate for Senate, this is perhaps the best time for him to do so.”
I would say yes to that invite on the condition that Robert Spencer comes along as a guest of Roy Moore and ten by-standers with cameras for the posterity of the moment.
PRCS says
Yes. Yes.
stan lee says
I
It’s a religion/death cult that directs universal murder/death to all who do not abide by Islamic belief.
It must be met with more than it promotes. The world will respond in kind or even more .Islam invites
necessary harsh response. I think that Islam’s aggression leaves no other alternative anymore.
.
t. says
Good point, stan lee, but who is listening?
Lydia says
It’s a false religion.
Just like satanism is a false religion.
It’s a religion, but it’s claims are not true.
PRCS says
Now, we’re getting somewhere.
It’s a religion, but its claims are not true.
To snuff it out, those claims need a public airing, one which will fully and thoroughly embarrass its followers.
Mark Swan says
Yes indeed PRCS, we most certainly need a wide open public forum—it could end there.
Islam’s threat to our personal freedom is not a point of discussion in academia nor any public forum of any kind—this is a strong political fail-safe for Islam to enjoy—for now—that is changing.
mortimer says
Now no one may say that Religion ‘X’ is a false religion? Who made that claim? Because that is a false claim.
There are 4,200 different religions. Therefore, ONE RELIGION ONLY may not lay a legal claim to be ‘THE TRUTH’ and the Supreme Court is unable to decide which religion is ‘TRUE’, because the US has NO ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION. Moreover, without an establishment of religion, no blasphemy law would be valid under the US Constitution, because what is blasphemous in one religion will be normal in another.
The First Amendment allows the practice of religion and freedom of expression needed to preach and teach religion. Part of religion is disagreeing with other religions and expressing those differences.
Anti-jihad says
I think Islam is an ideology, but not a religion. What kind of religion would have a God that allows and even encourages followers to kill, maim, and torture anything that walks? What kind of God would give you the choice to either submit or die? What kind of God would offer a Heaven of perpetual orgies? I don’t see the spiritual value in Islam.

Chris Malan says
Islam’s sine qua non (without which not) is the claim that Muhammad received revelations from the Angel Grabiel over the last 23 years of his life. There never were any witnesses. You just have to blindly believe Mohammad.
Christianity’s sine qua non is the resurrection. There were claims from at least 15 people who knew Jesus while he was alive that they clearly saw him resurrected. They were people of the time and the place.
Now ask yourself, which has the strongest case, Islam or Christianity?
I know there are people about 2,000 years and continents away from the event who claim they know more than the people who were there and claimed to have seen Jesus resurrected. Who would you believe? The people who were there or these know-it-alls, 2,000 years and continents away?
Michael Copeland says
“I have fabricated things against God and have imputed to Him words which He has not spoken.”
Mohammed
(The History of al-Tabari, Vol. 6, pages 108-111)
Mohammed told his followers it is all right to lie in the cause of Islam.
Note: Mohammed’s role was to promote the cause of Islam.
PRCS says
Not to mention, Chris, that many of the “revelations” arrived just in the nick of time (for Muhammad, that is), and many came from an all-knowing guy in the sky who had a less than impressive grasp of scientific facts.
Chris Malan says
Yes, you are right about Mohammad’s revelations. When he wanted to marry more than the allowed four wives, he ‘asked’ a dispensation from Allah to allow him to do so. His favourite wife, Aisha, the young one, said to him that she was sure his god would be very quick to approve of everything he wants. Seems she was not at a loss for words.
PRCS says
Agree.
Demsci says
So Roy Moore makes 2 points; I. That Islam is false, as to me is evident, when I look at how it came about and it’s many untrue assertions and compare it with how Science operates. And there did and do exist more of those false religions.
So if intelligent honest Muslims go searching for the highest truth they can find, they should defect to the more truthfinding attitude of science.
And II. That Islam is contradicting, opposing Democratic Values, Tenets and Laws.
Yes, and the bulk of Democratic Values, Tenets, Laws and it’s very ideology, came, say, came to fruition in the 18th century at first, then afterwards. While Islam is a 1000 years older, give or take.
So, the Judge could also have said that the constitution and all sorts of Democratic Values, Tenets and Laws are contradicting Islam, anti-Islam,.
And BETTER THAN ISLAM. Both for whole societies and for (most) individuals.
If he said it in this way, it would have been more about our own “leitcultur”if you will, and protection and expansion of that.
Against not only Islam, but also against other false religions and discreditied ideologies, like Nazism and Communism.
But CAIR now makes his statements about Islam and how anti-Islamic his words sound.
Well, to me Islam has many writings and sayings that sound downright anti-Democratic.
Chris Malan says
Democracy? Not a great fan. The great unwashed vote con men into gevernment who only has to convince them to vote for them. Robert Heinlein said it correctly: ẃhen the monkeys find they can vote themselves bananas, they’ll never climb another tree.’ I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said that when the people find they can vote themselves money it will mean the end of the Republic. A true democracy is mob rule. But such is life.
Terry says
And Sir Winston Churchill said that Democracy is the worst form of government. EXCEPT FOR ALL OF THE OTHER (FORMS OF GOVERNMENT).
Terry says
I personally DO NOT want a “KIND, BENEVOLENT” DICTATOR.
Chris Malan says
Winston Churchill was a democratically elected politician and benefited greatly from democracy. The biggest beneficiaries of democracy are democratically elected politicians. They go where the pasture is lush and the pickings are rich. Barack Obama had a two week holiday that cost the USA tax payer $800,000. Search for it, you will find it. I think it was in Hawai.
The trouble with a benevolent dictator is one doesn’t know what comes after him. It may be very bad. At least the next democratic government is unlikely to be very bad but almost guaranteed to be only mediocre, like the one that preceded it.
gravenimage says
Winston Churchill was *not* anti-democracy–no one did more to defend democracy. He was just making a wry comment.
Terry says
Graven I realize that–note that the end was capitalized.
He also said that capitalism was the worst (economic) system, except for all of the others.
Creole Gumbo says
The First Amendment gives us the Right to insult whomever or whatever we please. It is VERY AMERICAN.
Kasey says
LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD…ISLAM IS A SUPREMICIST,DICRIMINATORY ,INTOLERANT VIOLENT AND LETHAL IDEOLOGY WITH A MINOR CONRADICTORY RELIGIOUS COMPONENT
THOSE ARE ITS REAL 5 PILLARS.
Demsci says
If the Judge is only against Islam insofar as, say, the Western Democratic ideology and societal system, are incompatible with much of Islam,
then he still, IMO, represents all loyal Alabamians, but he can’t be expected to represent the disloyal ones, can he?
I notice also that when the Judge criticizes Islam, that the lady of CAIR twists this as somehow a bad attitude to (all) Muslims. But I make distinction between criticism on Islam and that on (all) Muslims.
Maybe calling Islam false has downsides, because it causes some people to then also call Christianity false, and what good does that do?
To me it seems that it primarily counts that Christianity is compatible with our democratic ideology and societal system, whereas Islam is not.
Chris Malan says
Christianity stands up to investigation, Islam does not. See a previous post by me.
David says
Aw boo hoo. Some poor Islamic worshipper got their feelings hurt. Too bad!!
Perhaps if the entire Islamic religion would denounce the brutality in which it pushes forward its agenda we would accept its legitimacy.
Otherwise it is nothing more than a false religion.
Mike Blackford says
Dear Khaula Hadeed, the actions of your false religion greatly out weigh your words…lip service. We are not All totally stupid. Leave! This country was founded on Christian values and will remain so til my last breath.
gravenimage says
Muslims don’t want to leave. They want to turn out civilized nation into another Islamic sh*t hole.
JawsV says
Western civilization was not built by Islam. We owe Islam NOTHING.
Mike says
Mahometanism is disproven by the Koran itself. Al-Ma’idah 116 falsely accuses Christians of worshipping Mary and Jesus as “two other gods” when we really worship the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost as Three Persons in One God.
High Plains says
Christian Nations, such as England and the United States, have educational universities and colleges
(that moslems [Mid-Easterners] flock to in droves), manufacturing industries, and technological
innovations.
Jewish people historically have excelled in the medical and science world. With the establishment of
Israel, this Jewish nation has taken the lead in technological innovations.
WHAT major accomplishments have the moslems [Mid-Easterners] contributed to the betterment of
the world as a whole??????
Terry says
High: Muslims have given the world the following:
homicide vests (inaccurately called suicide vests-when one commits suicide, he/she kills only themselves,
with homicide vests, people who did not want to die ( at that time) are murdered.
Roadside explosive devices- who else would have thought of these–??
worse than land mines.
So, don’t say that didn’t contribute anything. Just, (in my view) (like your view, I guess) NOTHING FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE WORLD.
High Plains says
Here is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore, printed in 2008 from a web-site message board.
America the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrim’s pride;
I’m glad they’ll never see.
Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine
choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said to abstain
From sea to shining sea,
Our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God’s love
and a need to always pray
We’ve kept God in our
temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.
We’ve voted in a government
that’s rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless judges;
Who throw reason out the door,
Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.
You think that God’s not
angry, that our land’s a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?
How are we to face our God
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?
If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His Holy face
and mend our evil way:
Then God will hear from Heaven;
and forgive us of our sins,
He’ll heal our sickly land
and those who live within..
But America the Beautiful,
If you don’t – then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee. Judge Roy Moore
___________________________________________________________________________
It is 2017. Judge Roy Moore paid the price for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from his
courthouse. And now, we have the chance to put this God-fearing man into the United States Senate,
which so desperately needs strong, moral leadership.
Judge Moore’s statement: ” What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?” reflecting the regime of
2008-2016, is still current today. You all know the fight is not over: forces still exist that are trying to
prevent the administration of 2016- 2020 (2024), from turning America back from the precipice.
Everyone who educates oneself on the issues at hand, publicizes (internet web-site posting), and makes
their voice heard is helping to stem the evil tide.
Zé says
I have just looked at a poll that gives Moore ahead on the republican primary by 12 points. It’s the third poll out of four in which he is ahead.
Since a republican will most likely win the senate seat in Alabama, maybe Ted Cruz will have another senator to join him on to outlaw the Muslim Brotherhood.
