Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Turkey: New school curriculum teaches jihad, requires all schools to have prayer room

Jul 19, 2017 9:52 am By Robert Spencer

Erdogan’s re-Islamization of Turkey proceeds apace. Now that he has eliminated all effective opposition, essentially nothing stands between him and the fulfillment of his caliphate dreams.

“Turkey’s new school curriculum drops evolution and will teach concept of jihad,” by Samuel Osborne, Independent, July 18, 2017:

Turkey’s new school curriculum drops Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution and adds the concept of jihad as patriotic in spirit.

The move has fuelled fears President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is subverting the republic’s secular foundations.

The chairman of a teachers’ union has described the changes as a huge step in the wrong direction for Turkey’s schools and an attempt to avoid raising “generations who ask questions”….

Mr Erdogan, accused by critics of crushing democratic freedoms with tens of thousands of arrests and a clampdown on media since a failed coup last July, has in the past spoken of raising a “pious generation”.

The curriculum, effective from the start of the 2017-2018 school year, also obliges Turkey’s growing number of “Imam Hatip” religious schools to teach the concept of jihad as patriotic in spirit.

“It is also our duty to fix what has been perceived as wrong. This is why the Islamic law class and basic fundamental religion lectures will include [lessons on] jihad,” Mr Yilmaz told reporters. “The real meaning of jihad is loving your nation.”

Jihad is often translated as “holy war” in the context of fighters waging war against enemies of Islam; but Muslim scholars stress that it also refers to a personal, spiritual struggle against sin.

Mehhmet Balik, chairman of the Union of Education and Science Workers (Egitim-Is), condemned the new curriculum.

“The new policies that ban the teaching of evolution and requiring all schools to have a prayer room, these actions destroy the principle of secularism and the scientific principles of education,” he said.

Under the AKP, which came to power in 2002, the number of “Imam Hatip” religious schools has grown exponentially. Erdogan, who has roots in political Islam, attended one such school.

He has spent his career fighting to bring religion back into public life in constitutionally secular Turkey and has cast himself as the liberator of millions of pious Turks whose rights and welfare were neglected by a secular elite.

Liberal Turks see Mr Erdogan as attempting to roll back the work of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Western-facing founder of modern Turkey who believed education should be free of religious teachings.

Some government critics have said the new curriculum – which was presented for public feedback earlier this year – increased the emphasis on Islamic values at the expense of Ataturk’s role….

Obviously.

The issue of prayer halls is not unique to Turkey or Erdogan. Muslims demand them wherever they go, no matter whether they are public, Catholic and private schools … their theocratic idea of society is above all else.

Trad this in Turkish Papers. The Taqiyya was hinting at the third rate Hadith re so called Greater jihad. That is not going to fool anyone who has read the Quran. The shari’ah Law is clear. Jihad is physically Fighting in the cause of allah,,which allah loves s2:195. Until these idiots a) realise mohammad’s prank on them, or b) islam and by proxy mohammadism is destroyed, nothing they have to say is worth wasting time pontificating over. Rather we need to be sending a clear, uncompromising message. Lose islam, else keep it in your own house. Opening the borders up to them is an unforgivable treachery, and we too need to eradicate the Political Parties responsible for endangering our very Genes, let alone our civilisation and stable societal structure(s).

Erdogan has progressively removed the freedom to discuss issues and disagree, thus making him a dictator. The only way left to disagree with Erdogan is a suicide attack. This is certainly what will eventually happen. A coordinated military coup is now not likely, but stranger things have occurred.

Ataturk deliberately put the mosque under his government control as virtually a branch of his dictatorship. His aim was to minimize the influence of the mosque in politics and a large number of secular Turks followed him… basically, they were (and still are) fascists. Erdogan is the same as them but he is a religious-supremacist fascist.

With complete Islamic brainwashing, the only hope for Turks and us is to have a free internet where forbidden ideas can be written and read.

Yeah, like they’ll have a free internet after a few years of this stuff going on…just leave Islam world alone now. theyll have to sort their own affairs out. It’s time to focus on preventing the spread of fundamentalism and hard-end violence, criminality etc including terrorism here.

Only duty is to our own citizens and descendents/countries. No obligation to “englighten” the world . Often that’s regarded by “the world” as patronizing anyway so we must just let them drift back and forth between the various kinds of authoratarian regime + corruption the inevitability wind up with.

Our problems are different. Debt. Greed . A certain level of international arrogance. All need taming. Oil dependency. Must be fixed. And indeed, ensuring society remain free speaking, knowledge based, scientific, plura, with all the comedy chat entertainment learning etc we enjoy,l in the long run and is never a warzone. Nothing else really matters in my view.

Turkey is obviously a house divided and at the moment it looks like the Muslims the anti-progress Erdoggaga followers are gaining the upper hand.Bad times ahead for Europe as Erdogaga is still aspiring to include Europe in his caliphate.

He’s well and truly shut out of EU circles now. Even he knows that as he recently stated the EU didn’t offer Turkey much. The EU is extremely hard nosed on “rights”. Despite the slight drift in relation to refugee policy madness recently, at the very same time, lots in the EU said no to that one too. It was a merkel fantasy. TIn general the EU will block any authoratarian regimes . (It might become a type of authoratarian regime itself one day as the most probable response to escalating civil disorder is to become more of a police state …. ). very organised on identity cards and so forth. The germans are good at stuff like that. And the french love administration processes aswell…

No europe for Erdogan. His only interest is to bring light of more qu’ran into the life of every Turkish person now… hence that economic renaissance they were enjoying is likely to go backwards in the years ahead. Just another arab style place. Interestingly, egype is attempting to go the other way to become more of a “rights champion” and improve the education system, etc. Maybe they’ll just swap.

It’s never that much of a wide margin though between the two options although its clear to the outsider which is the better one. There aren’t really any other options or the rulers lose support of the mainstream muslims and islamists or the army or some other group rapidly mobilise to bomb everything.. fine balance to keep a little secularism there is room but not limitless; certainly nothing like the EU rigorous standards on rights frameworks.

Nah, EU moved onto plan B now which is grow economy using banking businesses drifting across channel from Britain after it leaves.

There was a lot of talk eight or ten years ago about Turkey joining the European Union (EU), sinking ship that it was–and is. The EU wanted Turkey in–they said– and Turkey said it wanted in the EU–they said. Consensus at the time was that Turkey was about 80-90% of the way there and that the obstacles were mostly economic, and not political or cultural.

Given developments in Turkey, of which this is only the latest, It would be nice to think that this flirtation is a dead letter. However, as we know, the EU member countries, exemplified by Germany, are so dhimmified that they will continue to make overtures to Turkey, despite the fact that it is intolerant, undemocratic and fundamentally un-European.

The EU actually been massively critical of Turkey, it’s completely off, the whole deal. No one is even talking about it now…Erdogan is consoling himself with the line “well, we didn’t want to join anyway”.

Even EU is not that crazy lol

If you live in the USA, and you want Muslim law, why are you here other than to promote war with all that are not Muslim, the truth is plan, as you continue to lie to the ignorant.

He doesn’t live in the United States–he had a bizarre fantasy about coming here and some Infidel slut trying to have sex with him on a public bus.

I don’t know where he uses as a base for his Jihad activities–but he is a nasty piece of work.

His hatred of people and other religions combined with his obsession of bodily functions can only lead me to believe he’s a Turk of the worst kind (grey wolf).
Even Arabs were appalled and sickened by the level of sadistic violence they are capable of. They really enjoy humiliating, torturing and killing.their victims. Some say it’s a genetic flaw.
Christian mothers would rather jump to their deaths from bridges and cliffs with babies in arm to avoid being touched by these savages.
Definately “a nasty piece of work” and a proud liar.

As for the one that calls himself graven image, you are part of the ignorance that runs the USA at this time. I served in USMC, 70′ 80′ . You will never know the enemy till he slits your throat. And it looks like you are what has come out of the indoctrination school system of dumb down. You and people like you are sheep for the slaughtering. And term for those that continue to be ignorant after they know deep down what the truth is, are clinically insane.
