“The man – who, for security reasons, cannot be named – was attacked in Hirna…”
He cannot be named because if Muslims find out who he is, some will try to kill him again. Islamic law forbids non-Muslims to proselytize among Muslims on pain of death.
“Ethiopian Christian attacked with machetes for evangelising,” World Watch Monitor, July 31, 2017:
An Ethiopian Christian suffered deep wounds to the back of his head when he was attacked while alone in his home by a group of local Muslims with machetes[.]
The attack on 16 July left the 27-year-old man needing life-saving surgery.
The man – who, for security reasons, cannot be named – was attacked in Hirna, a rural town 400 KM east of the capital, Addis Ababa. His local clinic referred him to the hospital in nearby Asebeteferi who in turn sent him to Adama, where a doctor, believing he would die en route to a bigger hospital, operated on his wounds. Although he is still unwell, the surgery stabilised him enough to be taken elsewhere for more specialised treatment.
A source told World Watch Monitor that the gang of Muslims who attacked the man were angry because he was evangelising. The gang had first attacked the local Full Gospel Church and partly damaged its roof and a wall before going to the man’s house….
Guy Macher says
His name is Mohamed. He consorts with goats. He hangs around the preschool. There you go you murderou Muslim barrows, find this man and teach him all about Allah.
gravenimage says
Guy, it is the *victim* who cannot be named, not the perpetrator.
Kepha says
Maybe the Christian apostasized from Islam, makes his living as a goatherd, and has a contract to supply a local preschool with goat’s milk.
LB says
I believe this was Guy’s sarcastic attempt at “exposing” the victim’s identity so that the muslim attackers can find him and finish him off. The only problem is that the description he gave matches the perpetrators (as well as 99% of all other muslim males), so they’ll have a hard time finding him.
gravenimage says
LB, I think he thought that it was the perpetrator, not the victim, who could not be named.
Kepha says
Maybe the Christian who was attacked was an apostate from Islam name Mohammed; he consorted with goats and hung around the preschool because he is a goat herder by trade and had a contract with the preschool to supply fresh goat’s milk.
Seriously, this is a reminder of what “dialogue” with Islam really entails. I thank God for the courageous witness of this unnamed Ethiopian brother.

Ethiopia: Muslims attack Christian with machetes for proselytizing
“The man – who, for security reasons, cannot be named – was attacked in Hirna…” He cannot be named because if Muslims find out who he is, some will try to kill him again.
………………..
Exactly. And this is in Ethiopia, which is only 34% Muslim.
I’m just glad the victim survived.
God, I hate Islam.
john spielman says
courageous victim! time to segregate muslims from non muslims across the world as muslims do not integrate any more than oil and water does
gravenimage says
Exactly, John. We were quite safe in the West when the Muslim world was isolated for many years.

Not even safe in his own home. These scum will get what they are *asking* for, but in the meantime, no one who disagrees with them, or even someone attempting to help them as he was, is safe from their murderous actions.
I have a Christian friend in that country. She told me years ago that she was allowed by law to speak religion to any non- moslum, but was never to speak to a moslum about God or Christ. I have not heard from her in many years, but do hope she has not up with a bunch such as this who would kill her anyway.
I’m glad this man found a doctor who was able to help him survive.
Voytek Gagalka says
Ethiopia used to be a Christian country. Didn’t Mohammedans migrated to their separated enclave of Eritrea after splinting?
mortimer says
This will happen to Christian preachers in the US very soon. Many Christian street preachers are already being harassed by Muslims. Soon they be emboldened if the elites don’t learn the JIHAD DOCTRINE.
Lydia says
I will be among the martyrs because I do this actively (sharing the gospel in public with muslims and anyone who comes along).
Not sad at all to kiss all of this junk goodbye!
Not that I haven’t been blessed, because trust me, I have!
Nothing has been lacking in fact.
gravenimage says
Mortimer, have you seen what happened in Dearborn, when a Muslim mob attacked peaceful Christian evangelists with water bottles and rocks?
Matthieu Baudin says
Ethiopia is a Christian majority country but straddles the Muslim line of terror that crosses Africa from east to west, south of the main deserts. Nations like Ethiopia ought to assert themselves more and lay claim to their heritage but then when you have a Muslim minority of 35-40% it’s an unending uphill battle.
Lydia says
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but as I said, these things will escalate. Even in places where human rights were once honored on paper and in practice, now they are ignored. That trend will get worse too. We can’t trust in paper to uphold our existential ideals. Look at Europe. I’m not calling for physical action (or not) but all I can recommend is to have yourself right with God because you just never know.
The best way to do this is to imagine this was happening to you right now.
First of all, how would you feel about the fact that you would have to stand before the judgment throne of a Holy God? Not too good, eh? Well that is why we must turn to Jesus for forgiveness of sins because He died to pardon us. Repent from sin and turn to Christ. Commit yourself to Jesus. Read the New Testament and all the Bible if you have time left.
Second, we always think we have more time. No one wakes up one day and says, “oh, today is my last day of life!” (unless he is given a certain time left in life due to cancer, etc. but you usually won’t know the exact day). What would you regret most leaving undone? Usually a bigger house and car do not enter one’s mind when faced with death. No one thinks; “oh, wow, I wish I had spent more time making money” and that sort of materialistic thing. Instead it is “I wish I had spent more time with my family. I wish I could just tell them I love them one last time. I did not even give them a hug and a kiss last time I saw them…” and so on. Whatever important things are on your list, now is the time to deal with them. These are the things that matter most.

An interesting parallel here in the UK:-
1. A Christian nurse who prayed for her muslim patient has been dragged before the courts after the Muslim complained to the authorities that the nurse ‘was proselytizing’;
2. Muslims are regularly seen to be actively and inappropriately proselytizing inside schools, outside schools, in Universities, in the workplace, and ‘proselytizing with menaces’ in prisons……yet absolutely NOTHING happens!!
John Forbes says
CHRISTIANS are being attacked world wide & FEW if any leaders in the WEST even mention this let alone set out to stop it !
CHRISTIANS who try to openly wear a cross at work are told to remove it .
I believe the UK establishment has sold out to SAUDI ARABIA long ago & the latest OUTRAGE is that TERESA MAY has suppressed another report showing the SAUDI CONNECTION to terrorists !
CANADA of course can say NOTHING – as JUSTIN TRUDEAU _ on his own – with no COURT ORDER- gave a convicted terrorist _ OMAR KHADR – who is a killer of a US SOLDIER & was held in Guantanamo Bay for 10 years – a 10.6 million CA$ pay put. The KADR ( spelling may be not right) family are known TERRORIST family & how they have been allowed in/out of CANADA for may years ???

Certainly the ‘holy father, pope francis has nothing to day about the oppression and slaughter of Christians in moslem, and even near-muslim nations. And the UN is notably silent, too!
