Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Myanmar: 71 dead as Muslims mount jihad attacks on police and border outposts

Aug 25, 2017 10:34 am By Robert Spencer

Note how this AP report places the blame on the Myanmar government: “The clashes were the worst since an attack by the militants on three border posts last October killed nine policemen, setting off months of brutal counterinsurgency operations by Myanmar security forces against Rohingya communities in Rakhine state. Human rights groups accused the army of carrying out massive human rights abuses including killing, rape and burning down more than 1,000 homes and other buildings.”

This is reminiscent of the claims that Israel’s response to “Palestinian” jihad attacks is “disproportionate” and involving human rights abuses. The establishment media characterizes any concerted effort to fight back strongly against jihad attacks in this way. And just as in Israel’s case, charges of human rights abuses in this case have to be treated with reserve. They may be true of the Myanmar government, but since that government would face those charges no matter what it did, they have to be regarded with some skepticism.

Also, there is this: “Thursday night’s attacks began a few hours after a Rakhine Advisory Commission led by former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan submitted its final report and recommended that the government act quickly to improve economic development and social justice in Rakhine state to resolve violence between Buddhists and the Rohingya Muslim minority. Suu Kyi’s office said on its Facebook page that the attacks were intended to coincide with the release of Annan’s report.”

So Annan recommended the familiar and oft-failed response to jihad activity: shower money on Muslim communities. This is based on the notion, repeatedly demonstrated to be false, that poverty causes terrorism, and money can solve jihad. And then, right after this report is issued, these attacks drive the point home: shower money (jizya) on Muslim communities, or else.

“Myanmar: 71 dead in militant attacks on police, border posts,” Associated Press, August 25, 2017 (thanks to Robert):

YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — Ethnic Rohingya militants in western Myanmar launched overnight attacks on more than two dozen police and border outposts, leaving 71 people dead, the government said Friday, in a significant escalation of their armed struggle.

The office of the country’s leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, said military and border police responded to the Thursday night attacks by launching “clearance operations.”

A witness in Maungdaw township, contacted by phone, said soldiers entered her village at about 10 a.m. Friday, burned homes and property, and shot dead at least 10 people.

The witness, who asked to be identified by her nickname, Emmar, because of fear of retribution, said villagers fled in many directions but mostly to a nearby mountain range. She said gunshots and explosions could be heard and smoke could still be seen Friday evening.

A militant group, the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army, or ARSA, took responsibility for the overnight attacks on more than 25 locations, saying they were in defense of Muslim Rohingya communities that had been abused by government forces. It issued its statement on Twitter on an account deemed legitimate by advocates of Rohingya rights.

The clashes were the worst since an attack by the militants on three border posts last October killed nine policemen, setting off months of brutal counterinsurgency operations by Myanmar security forces against Rohingya communities in Rakhine state. Human rights groups accused the army of carrying out massive human rights abuses including killing, rape and burning down more than 1,000 homes and other buildings.

The army’s abuses in turn fueled further resentment toward the government among the Rohingya, most of whom are considered illegal immigrants from neighboring Bangladesh without any of the civil rights of citizens. ARSA took advantage of the resentment by stepping up recruitment of members.

The new attacks seem likely to set off a new cycle of repression and resistance.

The Rohingya have long faced severe discrimination in Buddhist-majority Myanmar and were the targets of inter-communal violence in 2012 that killed hundreds and drove about 140,000 people — predominantly Rohingya — from their homes to camps for the internally displaced, where most remain.

According to the United Nations, more than 80,000 Rohingya have fled to neighboring Bangladesh since last October.

Thursday night’s attacks began a few hours after a Rakhine Advisory Commission led by former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan submitted its final report and recommended that the government act quickly to improve economic development and social justice in Rakhine state to resolve violence between Buddhists and the Rohingya Muslim minority.

Suu Kyi’s office said on its Facebook page that the attacks were intended to coincide with the release of Annan’s report.

ARSA also referred to the report, saying the army in recent weeks had stepped up activity in order to derail any attempt to implement the recommendations. It said it had tried to avoid conflict until army atrocities became intolerable and action was needed to defend Rohingya civilians.

The announcement from Suu Kyi’s office said 30 police outposts had been attacked. It said in addition to the 12 dead, 11 people on the government side had been injured, three seriously. It said the attackers, some of whom were armed with machetes, had seized six guns.

The statement also said the attackers destroyed refugee camps and burned down homes.

One border guard policeman said two officers from his outpost at Taung Pasa village had been killed. “More than 150 Muslim attackers were surrounding our outpost with machetes and guns,” the officer, Htun Naing, said by phone….

Kofi Annan is a Muslim apologist.

After he left his Useless Nations position he admitted he hated Jews and Israel.

Looks like he hates Buddhists also.

Wow! You really have to vet anyone running for office. Just like our congress and senate, we have wimps who can’t understand the danger of Muslim Radical Islamic Terrorist, and are too dumb to decipher the word Islamaphobia. A phobia is an irrational fear, there is absolutely nothing irrational about fearing Islam as it causes the murder of its own people, and anyone that doesn’t believe as they do. That is a very rational fear and one we should be preaching about daily, without apology. Thank God for brave people on Jihadwatch that speak the truth even if unpopular.

And the West is still crying about genocide (?) of Muslims(Rohingyas) in Myanmar – who is killing who? Will the West wake up or continue to be delusional about Muslims in every country of the world!

Absolutely must wake up, and remove the infected judges put in by Obama who clearly was promoting that no one would speak ill of Allah! How can a President of the USA get by with saying that knowing what we went through on 911. Only a traitor would say such things, and Obama was a traitor, who lied about being a Christian, something done by Muslims who want to invade and brainwash. For the life of me, after looking up the horrors done by Muslims to minority groups, especially black boys they castrate to prevent “The Breed” as they disgustingly say, from procreating, how can any minority support this racist cult.

“Rohingya, most of whom are considered illegal immigrants from neighboring Bangladesh”

Insurgents hiding and operating within a massive illegal migrant crowd. No surprise the military resorted to a General Sherman – burn Atlanta solution. A good martial law presence is called for, followed by a one step left, one step right, we shoot you policy.

And nobody in MSM, (many of whom claim to follow Buddhist principles, btw) has wondered, for even a moment, what could cause the most peaceful and accepting of people, to react in the way that’s described.

Either these are lies and exaggerations, or Buddhists are being driven to excessive force to defend themselves, almost unheard of, outside their interactions with mohamedans.

Whichever it is, it’s got everything to do with islam.

First, whenever I see the words “social justice” I cringe. Second, this is just more jihad by hijra.

Suu Kyi is no dummy. I would take her word over coffee cup anon any day. Myanmar has suffered greatly and is trying to modernize and stay free from another military junta. Bangladesh has more people than space, so they plan to get more space the old fashioned way, steal it. The invaders need to be sent home.

Funny how it is the “poor Rohingyas” are always slaughtering other people…
