Either Trump is correct or the published reports are correct, but both cannot be. There is simply too much evidence that McMaster is working against Trump’s agenda to be ignored. Why Trump is standing by this energetically insubordinate official is a mystery.
“Trump Stands by McMaster, Claims He’s ‘Very Pro-Israel,’” by Adam Shaw, Breitbart, August 4, 2017:
President Trump defied his base Friday and defended under-fire national security adviser Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster from accusations that he is anti-Israel and opposed to the president’s agenda — as calls for his firing among conservatives heat up.
“General McMaster and I are working very well together,” Trump said in a statement emailed to the New York Times. “He is a good man and very pro-Israel. I am grateful for the work he continues to do serving our country.”
Senior Adviser and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner also backed the globalist general: “General McMaster is a true public servant and a tremendous asset for the president and the administration,” he said.
“He has created and oversees a very thorough and clear process for the agencies to work together to give the president credible options to advance the president’s priorities for America’s foreign policy,” Kushner added.
McMaster replaced Gen. Michael Flynn after Flynn resigned in February over his accounts of a conservation with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. But McMaster has faced accusations he is anti-Israel due to his support of the Iran nuclear deal and reports that he refers to Israel as “the occupying power.”
The Jerusalem Post’s Caroline Glick claimed that McMaster’s bias came out during Trump’s visit to Israel:
What hasn’t been reported is that it was McMaster who pressured Trump to agree not to let Netanyahu accompany him to the Western Wall. At the time, I and other reporters were led to believe that this was the decision of rogue anti-Israel officers at the US consulate in Jerusalem. But it wasn’t. It was McMaster.
In February McMaster was said to have told his staff he is not fond of the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism” and told them not to use it in the office. His justification was allegedly that terrorists are “un-Islamic” — a common talking point on the left.
But he enraged Trump’s base this week then he fired Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the senior director for intelligence on the National Security Council — the third conservative departure in a week. He then reportedly came to the astonishing conclusion that former Obama national security adviser Susan Rice did nothing wrong by unmasking Trump campaign officials during the transition — a belief firmly at odds with past statements by Trump.
McMaster’s various moves have been noticed by Trump’s base, with #FireMcMaster becoming a trending hashtag on Twitter, and a regular topic on conservative news sites — including Breitbart News. The Times reported that the hashtag had been tweeted at least 50,000 times since Wednesday.
Fox News pundit Sean Hannity asked whether McMaster needed to be fired over his reported treatment of the Susan Rice scandal.
The Times noted that Frank Gaffney Jr., president of the Center for Security Policy, had called McMaster “insubordinate to his commander in chief” in areas such as Islamic terrorism….

McMaster Military Philosophy – Selling out Israel and Playing Footsy with Muslim Brotherhood
McMaster is part of a contingent of military officers led by David Petraeus who, much like the British officers of old, have become fanatical Arabists. In fact, they have modeled their careers and war strategies on the prior experience of British Arabists. This turn towards Islamic sycophantic obsequience was forged in the blood-soaked sands of Iraq. After years of failure in quelling the Islamic insurgency, Petraeus, with McMaster in tow, was brought on to change the course of the war. His new approach which became almost a religious manta, was COIN. COIN was modeled after the British experience in Arabia and Islamic countries like Malay. In effect it was to accept and adapt Islamic cultural norms as a means of Military victory. A draft field manual on COIN written by U.S Army officer John Nagl, whose book on the British experience in Malaya,” Learning to Eat Soup with a Knife “had become a COIN cult classic. Having accepted Islamic cultural norms in order to achieve Military goals, this then became the basis of all future military and political decisions undertaken by Petraeus and his acolyte McMaster. Not only did they treat subservience to Islamic ideology as a means to an end, but they actively tried to change the culture of the U.S army to reflect their way of thinking , according to an article in the CATO institute “He and his fellow COIN true-believers would wage their own insurgency, of sorts, a low-level information operation aided by friendly journalists whom he cultivated with great care”. So this is where McMaster comes from. This is why he is hostile to Israel, why he seems to genuflect himself to Islamic Ideology. Why he refuses to acknowledge that Islam has any connection to terrorism, why he tries to force Trump to stop saying radical Islamic terrorism Why he is opposed to everything Trump stands for. He has adopted Islamic grievances as his own because he believes that this approach is the key to military victory. In his mind he feels himself to be the ideological successor of Sir John Bagot Glubb. The British Arabist who trained and led the Arab legion in their war against Israel in 1948.

Ok, let’s suppose that you are correct about Glubb. How then could it be false that he had little to do with contemporary Islamization if Britain? And if Glubb’s fingerprints are all over the transformation of Britain, why should McMaster and his allies have a different effect upon the USA?
It seems rather obvious already that McMaster is a traitor who deserves to be tried for treason at court marial, convicted, and executed in a way calculated to humiliate him.

Good stuff, Mortimer! Everyone should read and make note of your commentary.
But…knowing the facts and prying McMaster loose from the Trump Admin. are two separate issues.
The man will not be detached from the Trump regime based upon remarks in “Jihad Report.”
This forum is very worthy, but I cannot even guess what its volume is to the Internet public.
It will be incumbent upon those who have concluded that McMaster is a counter-influence to Trump’s administration, who must be exposed no matter whether it would take “overnight” or months.
In other words, persistence and consistency. That will be “the proof of the pudding!” I am for that.
Thank you for introducing your research.

Mystery it is not. That is REALITY: Trump lives according to rules of McMaster. (not for nothing he carries “master” within his very name.) We don’t know why it is so but we can see all evidence in place. So either Trump is too weak or he slowly but surely ABANDONS his own agenda on which he was elected on. (But maybe he never believed in that agenda and was TRUMPETING it only to get elected? History will tell.)

I’d send McMaster to Afghanistan in a heartbeat. He is a tough combat commander who crushed Saddam’s elite armored legions in a decisive armored battle. I’d rather see McMaster with a combat command, than be involved with who is and who is not to be our ally. I doubt that is McMaster’s forte, he will clobber Arabs /Muslims in battle, but also takes sides against some of Trump’s other advisors who are critical of Islam. In that he gives me the same creepy feeling John Brennan exuded, the Obama regime CIA chief. He turned out to be a Muslim convert after he spent time in Saudi Arabia. No wonder Obama chose him.
McMaster should be laterally promoted OUT of Washington. Yes, Afghanistan combat command is the ticket for him. There must be another retired Marine brass-hat available if necessary. who Trump can move into a vacated NSA spot.. If no one utters another negative comment re: McMaster, the negative talk of him may die down. If it persists, Trump has an internal leadership problem. Steve Bannon has Trump’s confidence too, and he’s been crossing swords with McMaster. Since Trump thinks so much of McMaster, let him admire the guy as a combat leader in an overseas deployment.. There are good civilians, who can take on National Security post. That needs not be filled by a military retiree. As far as Gen. Kelly is concerned, he wants the group of dept. heads to be cohesive with each other. The Bannon faction vs. McMaster faction (if there is one) is not what a Chief of Staff wants to deal with, and Bannon is close with Trump.
Vann Boseman says
I like to think that the president has a lot more facts concerning foreign policy than me. I do believe that the most valid criticism of a president’s foreign policy begins 50 years after his presidency. Still I cannot imagine how Trump’s support of McMasters could possibly be a good thing. McMasters’ presence inherently undermines Trump’s integrity to the world, the American people, and those who voted for him.

Cannot put a percentage on it, but quite often when I read something about McMaster, he comes up as a “muslim lover” or a idiot in regards to Islam.
