Turkey does not (yet) fully implement Sharia, and it doesn’t recognize the caliphate of al-Baghdadi, and so as far as the Islamic State is concerned, it is an apostate entity. And that means it must be attacked. The Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:
So O muwahhid, do not let this battle pass you by wherever you may be. You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit. Strike their police, security, and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents. Destroy their beds. Embitter their lives for them and busy them with themselves. If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….
“Terror attack in Turkey – at least one dead in Istanbul,” by Zoie O’Brien and Matt Drake, Express, August 14, 2017:
A POLICEMAN has been stabbed to death by a man claiming allegiance to ISIS in Ankara, Turkey, it has been reported.
The suspected Daesh terrorist had been arrested on suspicion of preparing to carry out a suicide bombing.
He was reportedly being transported to a police station when the suspect attacked the officer with a knife.
It is not clear how the man managed to keep a knife while being taken into custody.
The wounded police officer was rushed to a nearby hospital and the police died of his wounds.
The suspect was shot dead after killing the policeman, according to Turkey’s Anadolu news agency.
The name of the attacker has not been released by authorities….

Let me look up “peace” in my dictionary again, I must have read it incorrectly.

Some sort of prayer of blessing gone awry?!

– a stealth jihadi cop gave it to him, of course.

There HAS to be a new, “English Standard Revised” edition of the Qur’an specifically simplified so Liberals and Democrats can understand it. The flowery language of existing translations are so benign-sounding that the logic-deficient brains of Leftists can’t take the time to parse the Arabic language into its actual meanings.
The phrase “do not let this battle pass you by” just goes over the heads of Englishmen and US Liberals. That expression is like Obama’s speech at the UN in 2012, when he said “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” – which to me sounds like a command to kill the infidels who speak ill of Muhammad.

Don’t take things out of context. It delegitimizes ur point.
Here is the entire quote,
“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam but to be credible those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see in the images of Jesus Christ that are desecrated or churches destroyed or the Holocaust that is denied,”
I’m no fan of the last administration but let’s not hurt a cause by being disingenuous or ill informed.

The completion of Obama’s phrase doesn’t change the beginning. The opening phrase is still flowery “Qur’an speak,” while the rest of it is in plain English.

Turkey wants to play both sides of the jihad game. Increasingly Islamic
public supports Erdogan, a potential jihadist, but it aspires to be a modern democratic nation as well.
For Europeans readers I would recommend a quick refresher on Turko-European history of
the last 1000 years. Read how they terrorzsed Europe for a milenium, how they left permanent
enclaves like Bosnia and Albania. The aspiration for an empire in Europe is still alive.
