Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who called for the murder of police last year in the name of Islam, while invoking the Quran, has made a public announcement of regret. He once declared:
“Death is sweeter than to continue to live and bury our children, while white folks give the killer hamburgers.
“Death is sweeter, than watching us slaughter each other, to the joy of a 400-year-old enemy. Yes, death is sweeter.
“The Quran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter. Then it says, ‘Retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slain.’ Retaliation is a prescription from God, to calm the breast of those whose children have been slain.
“So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.”
Now:
Reflecting on his inevitable physical death, leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, 84, declared in a controversial video recording Tuesday that Jesus will save him from the grip of death despite his organization’s creed that there is only “One God whose proper Name is Allah.”
Today while on a radio show, a caller brought this to my attention and saw this as being a signal that Farrakhan is moderating his previous harsh stands. While no one can judge another’s intent, Farrakhan’s latest words cannot be deemed as a new direction for the Nation of Islam, a virulently anti-Semitic and anti-white hate group.
Farrakhan apparently now regrets his past anarchist calls for 10,000 volunteers to stalk and kill white people, his demonization of Jews as violent and the killers of Jesus:
So I say to the devil. I know I gotta pay a price for what I’ve been teaching all these years. You can have the money, you can have the clothes, you can have the suit, you can have the house but me, you can’t have.
His declaration, however, does not erase what the Nation of Islam represents. The Nation of Islam has a long record of anti-Semitism and anti-white racism. It is good news that Farrakhan appears to regret his former teachings, but chances are that his latest words will be not taken seriously and his previous words will continue to dominate the culture of the Nation of Islam, which fuels Black Lives Matter and serves as a recruiting station for Sunni Muslim jihad groups.
“Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan Declares Jesus Is His Redeemer, Says Devil Can’t Have Him”, by Leonardo Blair, The Christian Post, August 25, 2017:
Reflecting on his inevitable physical death, leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, 84, declared in a controversial video recording Tuesday that Jesus will save him from the grip of death despite his organization’s creed that there is only “One God whose proper Name is Allah.”
The declaration came the same day Farrakhan was shown visiting Bishop Larry Trotter, longtime pastor of Chicago’s Sweet Holy Spirit Church, who was hospitalized last Wednesday with a “serious illness” following a trip to Israel.
“I thank God for guiding me for 40 years absent my teacher (Elijah Muhammad). So my next journey will have to answer the question. I’m gonna say it,” Farrakhan teased briefly in the clip before declaring: “I know that my redeemer liveth.”
“I know. I’m not guessing that my Jesus is alive. I know that my redeemer liveth and because he lives I know that I, too, will pass through the portal of death yet death will not afflict me,” he continued.
The official creed of the Nation of Islam blends teachings from the Quran and “the Scriptures of all the Prophets of God.” Even though the Nation of Islam also claims to believe in the “truth of the Bible” the religious group also believes the Bible has been “tampered with” and reinterprets Scripture to avoid “falsehoods.”
In the clip shared on Tuesday, Farrakhan appears to repent for the things that he has been teaching.
“So I say to the devil. I know I gotta pay a price for what I’ve been teaching all these years. You can have the money, you can have the clothes, you can have the suit, you can have the house but me, you can’t have,” he declared.
The Christian Post reached out to the Nation of Islam for comment on the video Friday and was directed to Farrakhan’s official spokesperson, Richard Muhammad, editor of the Final Call newspaper. A message left with a representative of the publication for Muhammad was not returned. Other Nation of Islam officials contacted for this report also promised to provide a response to explain what Farrakhan meant in his comments but they did not respond by press time.
The Nation of Islam believes that Allah “appeared in the person of master W. Fard Muhammad, July 1930; the long-awaited ‘Messiah’ of the Christians and the ‘Mahdi’ of the Muslims,” according to their website. Very little was known publicly, however, of the obscure “Messiah,” according to a 1974 Chicago Tribune report.
“The Black Muslim movement came into being around 1930. Its first apostle was Wallace D. Fard, or Wallace Fard Muhammad, a salesman of silks, incense, and perfumes in the Detroit ghetto who is remembered variously as a light-skinned black man, a light-skinned Arab, and a white man,” the report said.
The last man to see Fard alive was his successor and Farrakhan’s teacher, Elijah Muhammad.
“Few can tell at this point, since Fard has not been seen since 1934 when he took off in an airplane from the Detroit airport. The man who saw him off, by his own testimony, was Elijah Muhammad [born Elijah Poole, the son of a Georgia Baptist minister], who assumed Fard’s mantle and mission,” the report said…..

Do you think Louis Farrakhan has “seen the light”? That light being the good news of Jesus Christ being the savior of the world who died for all our sins.
D Austin says
Not if he is still running Nation of Islam and refuses to admit he has led many to Hell! Putting only one foot in the church won’t save him.
@Menace says
As you don’t seem to remember, even the thief on the cross next to Jesus was saved, so if this is true and Farrakhan does truly believe this, then he is saved. Even Hitler could have been saved, the salvation of Christ knows no limits.

He is a liar and learned well from the father of lies…Satan. He is deceiving those mainly of the black race who may be wooed to what they are fooled into believing, ‘hey this guy preaches Jesus’, No he preaches a different gospel. He is looking to increase membership in his cult. Do we truly want a sincere repentant man? Yes. Do we love our enemy? Yes. Do we hate an anti Israel, anti Jew message? Yes. Let’s pray that he will eventually come to the truth, the way and the life.

I cannot read Farrakhan’s mind, but know that Islam allows for Muslims to ‘deny their own faith’ if needed to protect themselves in a Dar al-Harb, as long as their hearts are pure.
Only God (not Allah!) knows what’s in his heart. If he is apostasy, he better be careful of other Muslims, for apostasy means a death sentence.

Louis Farrakhan has apparently converted to Christianity. He regrets using his position in Nation of Islam for his personal emolument. He repents of deceiving people.

If he had repented, the price would be paid by Jesus. Farrakhan claims the obligation of paying for his sins. Re-read his quote. He is afraid of death, afraid of judgment, but not afraid enough to throw himself at the Savior’s feet.
Fred says
I do not know his heart, only that his teachings in the past were evil and from a demonic religion. Perhaps, and I say it with caution that like the Apostle Paul he really has met Jesus on the road. Proof one way or another will reveal itself. If his repentance is true then pray for him that God will use him as he used Paul to do even more good than he has done harm. If not then may that be revealed as well. No man seeks God truly of his own but it is God that seeks us out first.

Admitting ones sins is not repenting them. Repentance would have the price for sin paid by Jesus. Farrakhan is quoted as saying that he ‘knows he’s got to pay’. Pay he will, for misleading so many down a path of rebellion, hate, and death. His statement is one of acknowledgement, but not of repentance. Even Satan acknowledges Christ; that acknowledgement does not equate with worship, however. Farrakhan carries a heavy weight, which can only be laid down by genuine repentance.
boakai ngombu says
for him to say that Jesus is his Redeemer indicates repentance – if not genuine contrition – and that he has faith in Jesus to save … faith being God-given.
by saying that Jesus is his Redeemer indicates a disavowal of central Koranic teachings. May the Lord of all living be praised

They will surely go Jihadi if Farrakhan goes ahead to public burn his Qua-ran to demonstrate his salvation. Yesterday, I watched a video-clip on the Farrakhan conversion. One pastor vowed never to accept the conversion until Farrakhan renounced Islam and his past teachers, burn the Qua-ran and throw the ashes in the dust bin! Just think of the global Jihad these simple actions will cause!

When Farrakhan completely rejects the false evil teachings of the Koran and the evil that he has spewed over the many years he has profited from his position, and when he divests himself of all the material wealth he has obtained from his evil teachings, then, and only then, will he begin to have any credibility.
Once he has done all of that he can start to tell the truth about his aforesaid lies and ask forgiveness of all those he has harmed and then of Jesus. Until then he is just another snake oul salesman.

I could explain clearly here, with real-world analogies why you (the person and/or atheist reading this) and every person needs the Savior, as I have done so on other threads, concisely and clearly. But I’ll just narrow it down today to – it’s just plain arrogance if you think you can earn a right-standing with God, and it’s just plain arrogance if you think a “bang” or everything in the universe came from nothing. Arrogance and a love for the things of THIS world. Read the 5 major holy books available even online in our day, and make your decision while you still have a small amount of time.
Lydia says
If he has truly turned to Christ for salvation, he must repent of islam and renounce all of its teachings and deeds… PUBLICLY, just as his activity before was done publicly. Sometimes it takes a little while for the truth to fully sink in, but not too long. He needs to declare the fullness of the gospel and be baptized in public.
There are cases like this and it is a great witness, Paul the Apostle was one of the first.
Or, if no real testimony emerges, I suspect it is more fodder and fuel for the rising ‘one world religion.’ (under antichrist, not a good thing)
Time will tell.

As others have said before me, only God can know what’s really in his heart. And although his belief in a “higher power” (in his case, Allah, the moon god) has always been skewed, when it comes time to reclaim his soul, maybe God will welcome him home and try to straighten him out. Nothing is beyond the power of The Almighty! Furthermore, ours is not to render “final judgment.” “Judgment is mine, sayeth the Lord!”

The Nation of Islam has a very strange history. It was started by a man who called himself Elijah Mohammed. He declared himself the prophet and gained thousands of followers. Actually, the Nation of Islam has little to do with original Islam. Sort of self-made kind of creed with a nut from Chicago inventing it. Elijah Mohammed is dead now. I wonder if he went to his equivalent of heaven, or the original heaven, or the Muslim heaven. If there is a heaven of any description.
gravenimage says
Carolyne, you are right that the Black Muslims and Nation of Islam are not orthodox Islam.
But it has all too much in common–it is a violent creed that condones rape and murder and the killing of apostates. It is no less hideous than Sunni or Shia Islam.

Living in a Muslum majority county, I’ve heard of many & seen 1 case where Jesus himself appeared to born Muslams & they accepted Him as Lord & Saviour! Those cases have always (to my knowledge) been people whom the Gospel has not been conveyed! It is usually persons who are at the end of their tether, deeply depressed or given up hope! In the 1 case I know, he was born to Muslim parents & Muslim community! At age 12 he was full of despair due to depression compounded by family, social & school problems! He was going to commit suicide & prayed that if God was real, please forgive him, show him a way out! To his surprised it was Jesus who appeared & comforted him. Jesus said He had died for him & would release him from his prison of despair, depression, troubles & all the wrongs he had done or was done to him. Jesus invited him to accept him as God & Saviour! He accepted and was healed in spirit, mind & body! From then on he always had the presence of Jesus with him.
Being in a deeply Muslim family & community, he could not openly declare his faith. Over time he managed to learn more & joined up with Christians who schooled him in secret! He made a career in Engineering but was always preaching to Muslims! That’s the part which is interesting because of the adventures Jesus led him to reach souls in Muslim heartlands, narrow escapes, being under surveillance, dramatic timing & aid from normal & unexpected sources! He has established many ‘underground’ churches of former Muslims!
From my experience, I doubt Louis Farrakhan’s acceptance of Jesus ‘as redeemer’ as he rejected the Gospel, though having full knowledge & learning! However, the Lord chooses whom He wants in His flock and the manner & timing they join the flock! I will be following the issue, but not a priority as Louis is far removed from my sphere.

In an earlier clip of Farrakhan speaking to congregants at New Sunny Mount Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 17, 2015, he appeared to be drawing closer to Jesus in the winter of his life.
“They say, ‘wait a minute Farrakhan, I thought you was a Muslim? Yeah, Jesus was too,” he said in a clearly false reach. Jesus was born a Jew.

allalh is NOT God !!! He is still not saved.Hopefully God will send someone who can preach the True Gospel to him.
John Avong says
Farrakhan has confessed Jesus Christ as his Redeemer. This is all that is required for any man to be saved; salvation is by grace and not works. If salvation were by works and not grace, we would insist on compliance to the recommended works to demonstrate his salvation.
What Farrakhan’s needs at this moment from all believers in Jesus Christ is love, understanding and fervent prayers for God to keep him in Christ. Remember that it is God Himself that is keeping every believer in Christ. There is no believer that is strong enough to remain in the Christian faith without the help of the Holy Spirit.
Farrakhan will surely suffer persecution because no one leaves Islam without severe consequences and I think Farrakhan is aware of this. Regrettably, the persecution Farrakhan may face will come from the church. Some Christians will never accept Farrakhan’s repentance considering his violent past. A similar thing happened when Saul of Tarsus expressed faith in the Lord Jesus. He had persecuted and killed the followers of Jesus for many years and no one was willing to believe his salvation story. We know that Ananiah, whom the Lord sent to help Paul had serious difficulty believing that Saul had truly turned to Lord.
But in the midst of the anticipated persecution, Farrakhan needs to complete the recommended rituals attach to salvation through faith. The water and Holy Ghost baptism that is commanded for sinners turning to Jesus should be embraced. I pray that the Lord will send a minister of the Lord to Farrakhan to execute the water and Holy Spirit baptisms as He did in the case of Saul of Tarsus. Ananiah was sent to minister to Saul after he confessed the Lordship of Christ.
Farrakhan will also have to leave the nation of Islam and their teachings and be united with a Holy Ghost and Bible believing Church for nurturing and spiritual development. At this point, his major concern is not to preach or teach the gospel but to understand the scriptures and be grounded in the Lord. Saul (Paul after the conversion) took about 14 years in the desert of Arabia studying the scripture and getting to know the Lord before finally coming out to embark on global evangelism. Farrakhan may not have 14 years to learn the scriptures but going underground for sometime may help him a lot.
The church must use wisdom in restoring Farrakhan to the faith. Some pastors are already recommending the burning of Farrakhan’s Qua-ran and other spiritual materials he was using while a Muslim. But the public burning of the Qua-ran is bound to provoke a global Jihad against Christians. Just think of how many Christians will be killed in the US and other countries where Muslims are always looking for the slightest excuse to start killing innocent Christians. Leaving Islam is already a sufficient provocation, burning the Qua-ran will amount to double jeopardy. Please PRAY for Farrakhan.

………………….
Some Christians may be *suspicious*–which only makes sense given his history.
The idea that this is the same as Muslims wanting to slaughter him as an apostate is just grotesque.
Elsewhere in the speech, Farrakhan said that this “energy”, “gave me strength to withstand the government of America, the Jewish powers of America that were on my back for over 30 years.”
That does not sound like repentance to me.
In the same speech he said, “and that’s why, in the Koran, there’s only one or two prophets that were strengthened by the Holy Spirit and one of them is the Messiah, Jesus.”
This makes it clear he is referring to the Muslim “Jesus”–“Isa”–who is not the Savior, and whose main role in the “last days” is to *kill Christians*.
Just two days ago Farrakhan in the Final Call wrote, “Seek Refuge in Allah”.
Are you *still* going to pretend that the problem is his being persecuted by Christians for being skeptical?

What Louis has uttered is indeed blasphemous, but maybe, the slip betwixt the cup and the lip is whats to be analysed. Louis was always a well dressed man articulate with his words towards the enemy and friend. Perhaps, in his heart he new where he was heading but his public demeanor ostracized his erstwhile community of faith. Perhaps, he was a real ecumenicist but now in his twilight years, like the thief on the cross, he is bargaining with God. This is a real indictment of Islam that there is no truth in it from a soldier who carried its burdens for so many years. There is no p.b.u.h or s.a.w on Muhammad but a cry for a Redeemer-Jesus!
