Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Pope welcomes to Vatican the head of Muslim group tied to financing of jihad terror

Sep 21, 2017 3:02 pm By Robert Spencer

“Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa…expressed the appreciation of the Muslim world for the pope’s ‘fair positions’ regarding ‘the false claims that link extremism and violence to Islam,’ as well as for his insistence that extremism is not distinctive of Islam but is found among followers of all religions.”

In other words, he thanked the Pope for dissembling about the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which his group has been accused of financing, and for defaming other religions in an effort to whitewash Islam.

“Despite the group’s official opposition to violence and terrorism and its pursuit of intercultural dialogue, it has been the subject of several ongoing counterterrorism investigations in the U.S. related to Hamas, al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.”

Has the Pope met with any of the survivors of the Muslim persecution of Christians?

Let me be clear: I don’t object to the Pope’s meeting this man. After all, Jesus was a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But the meeting appears to have been a pointless feelgood session, probably featuring some sly dawah from al-Issa: “the two men reportedly exchanged views on a number of ‘issues of common interest’ including peace and global harmony, and discussed cooperation on issues of peaceful coexistence and the spread of love.”

The spread of love. Yes, that’s what the Muslim World League is all about.

“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

“Pope Francis Welcomes Leader of Muslim World League to Vatican,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, September 21, 2017:

Pope Francis met with the secretary general of the Muslim World League (MWL) in the Vatican Wednesday, a group that has been tied to Saudi financing of jihadist terrorism and the 9/11 attacks in 2001.

Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, who served for several years as Saudi minister of justice in Riyadh and is now secretary general of the MWL, expressed the appreciation of the Muslim world for the pope’s “fair positions” regarding “the false claims that link extremism and violence to Islam,” as well as for his insistence that extremism is not distinctive of Islam but is found among followers of all religions.

The Muslim World League is a Saudi Government-funded Islamic non-governmental organization, founded on May 18, 1962 in Mecca for the propagation of Islamic teachings. Despite the group’s official opposition to violence and terrorism and its pursuit of intercultural dialogue, it has been the subject of several ongoing counterterrorism investigations in the U.S. related to Hamas, al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

Two months after the 9/11 jihadist attacks on U.S. soil, Newsweek writer Evan Thomas reported that the Muslim World League was one of “two interrelated global charities” directly funded by the Saudi government that were used by Osama bin Laden to finance his operations. The organizations were left off the list of groups sanctioned by the United States “in order to avoid embarrassing the Saudi government,” Thomas wrote.

In 2004, Harper’s Magazine declared that the Muslim World League had been “long known to have funneled money to Al Qaeda” and is financed directly by the Saudi government. “MWL is an evangelical organization that was created to help spread Wahhabism, the Saudi brand of Islamic fundamentalism,” the article stated.

According to the New York Times, an internal, top-secret report from the Treasury Department obtained through the Freedom of Information Act stated that the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), “an offshoot of the Muslim World League,” supported terrorist organizations beginning in the early 1990s “through to at least the first half of 2006.”

The MWL has also come under fire for its alleged anti-Semitism and the Anti-Defamation League claims that the MWL has frequently been a platform for anti-Israeli rhetoric. It has also been accused of using its English-language “Journal” to spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

At their first International Islamic Conference on Dialogue in Mecca in 2008, the MWL invited Yusuf al-Qaradawi to speak. During his speech, he said he would “never sit with Jews on one platform and never hold dialogue with those Jews who have committed injustice against us and support Israel.”

On Tuesday, Al-Issa spoke at an international conference in Rome on “Tolerance in Islam” along with Joseph Levi, the former chief rabbi in Florence, and Bishop Miguel Ángel Ayuso Guixot, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.

For his audience with the Pope, Al-Issa was accompanied by a delegation of seven people. The Vatican released a series of photographs of the encounter, during which the two men reportedly exchanged views on a number of “issues of common interest” including peace and global harmony, and discussed cooperation on issues of peaceful coexistence and the spread of love….

Tom, I viewed your clip of Pope Francis and I don’t see him questioning Christians on their Faith. Rather I see him saying effectively the you need the Catholic Church.
The problem, as I see it, is that this Pope is too eager to love people who are not worthy of that love.

Come on man, are you serious?!?
He is saying that it is a big mistake to believe in God and Jesus without believing in the Catholic Church as an Institution.
He is making a Believer to a Sinner, almost, just because they dont accept the Hoax of the Catholic Church.

Ted Tyler , Jesus says we are to love our brother as ourselves ! We love the SINNER ,…but HATE THE SIN . We are to pray for the Muslims , who are LOST IN DARKNESS . Jesus said ,” I am the LIGHT OF THE WORLD ” , and he also said that ” you don’t hide the light ” . That is the problem I see with this Pope , he is hiding the light whenever he has a chance to shine the light on the darkness of ISLAM.

The Pope (and practically all the European elites) do not know the name of what Robert Spencer calls ‘the motivating ideology of jihad terror’.

The NAME of Islam’s the motivating ideology is AL WALAA WAL BARAA (allegiance and disavowal). The MOTIVATION of Islam is HATRED DIRECTED TOWARDS THE DIRTY KAFIRS.

However, the METHOD of Islam’s war to PUNISH the dirty kafirs is called JIHAD.

Jihad is a common duty for all Muslims. All Muslims conduct VERBAL JIHAD by LYING about and DECEIVING in regard to jihad.

Verbal jihad CONCEALS the MOTIVE and METHODS of jihad.

The Pope is being seduced by evil.He is being deceived, He sees a pretty picture..all immaculate white with a black gauze cover, even this smile is part of the deception and the words all tell a story. Tolerance, justice, five prayers a day, charity peace and the soul full regret of bad things happening for the cause of Allah….not our cause he might say, we have been hijacked, just like the planes that flew into NY and hit the buildings a horrible event he may say, but that is just history long ago and the Pope is seduced not knowing the words have two meanings one for the non muslim and one for the muslim and it is hate speech to expose this truth. Yes this jihad financier could smile and shake the hand of the Christian, since this Christian who has the power to say to the world Islam is peace this is a deadly deception, it has worked over and over even though the jihadist or terrorist says he desires to slay for Allah, he may claim to hate terrorism and want to fight it worldwide as he shakes the Popes hand.
The terrorist who flew the planes were following the words of the Quran, sharia law because they are guaranteed paradise committing jihad warefar against non muslims. It would be nice to think otherwise, but it would not pass as truth at this moment the Quran followers have grown nearly in every state and country still seduce world wide. What is a muslim, they read and follow the Quran obligatory for every muslim. This photo and meeting, you can bet was intended for that effect.

As you know, Christ also commands us to pray for our enemies and this does not mean that we are to ignore their false doctrine and false practises. But a very serious blunder of the Roman Catholic church was to believe and to publish the *Nostra Aetate* of 1965 where it teaches “The church has also a high regard for the Muslims. They worship God, who is one etc” and the church believes and published the *Lumen Gentium* of 1964 where it teaches “But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims: these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.” Since the pope believes that the Muslims worship the same God as Abraham and the Christians do, he then does what he does to the denial of the Truth (Jesus) and His doctrines and ways. Shame!

What the Pope doesn’t seem to comprehend is that the Koran, hadiths, etc *demand* that their followers terrorize non-believers and kill them. The New Testament does not. If a Christian kills a non-believer he is doing it against the sayings of Jesus, but a murdering Islamist is doing it because of Mohamed’s sayings. I’m a afraid the Pope is using sophistry to normalize Islam. Sophistry in the sense that what he says sounds reasonable, but is actually illogical, because it starts with a false premise..

“fair positions?” “false claims?” Uh, NO, those are true claims that link violence to islam. But, it is not their ‘extreme,’ it is their ‘norm.’

They are again using the term ‘extremism’ as if it is bad in and of itself, but it is not. They want to make the term bad and then apply it to us.

But using their meaning, NO, it is not found in all religions, violence is not found in Christianity, but in islam! You need to go to the source of the religion and that is the text. It’s a no brainer but in their case even more so since they have no brain.

Just from an historical point of view, never mind the modern psychological, logistical, demographic, financial, etc. implications of this man presently occupying the throne of St. Peter, he is a monumental historical disaster.

As much harm as Barack Obama did to the American Presidency (examples being piling up as as much debt as all previous Presidents combined, making the single worst deal with a foreign power in all of American history, i.e., the Iran nuclear deal, pathetically apologizing over and over again for the worst religion of all time {I think you know which religion I mean}, and stoking the flames of racial grievances), the present Pope, quite arguably, has done more harm to the institution of the Papacy than Barack Obama did to the American Presidency.

Islam is motivated by hate, ferocious hate for non-Muslims. Christianity, which this Pope is supposed to represent and protect, is motivated by love. The are polar opposites and can’t live in harmony. I guess I can see how this Pope, and many other Christians of the pacifist variety, just think of endlessly turning the other cheek, but that is idiotic when confronting evil Islam. I mean Christians aren’t meant to commit suicide which is what pacifism will lead to when facing up to murderous Islam. The Pope either knows nothing about Islam’s nature or he just lies and lies about Islam’s violent nature even though he is aware of it, which is being complicit in evil. He has nothing worthwhile to contribute on the issue of Islam, that’s for sure. Unfortunately, I’m sure he is doing damage by helping people, who respect his position as leader of the Catholic Church, remain ignorant of Islam’s evil nature. Some people would take notice of his foolish pronouncements about Islam.

The Pope does not represent Christianity. He represents Catholicism. I am an Atheist, so certainly he doesn’t represent my philosophy on the supernatural, so his actions and pronouncements mean nothing to me. He is, however, damaging those Christians who believe in his authority.

I believe that Pope Francis is basically a good person who has been taken in by Islamic propaganda. He believes that if you be nice to Muslims, then they will be nice to you – and that will not happen.

Obviously, he knows very little about Islamic philosophy or its mission – and because of that ignorance – we are all in peril.

Ted, that’s what I meant to say in my comment above. I have met quite a few Christians over the years, who are of what I call the pacifist, being endlessly gentle and nice variety, and always turning the other cheek. No doubt it’s part of being a Christian. They are probably better Christians than I will ever be, but their naivety is dangerous. As I said, and you say in your comment, this being nice to violent groups like Muslims and expecting the same back, is really suicidal. It won’t happen. This committing suicide in the pacifist way is imbecilic. People have to wake up, face the truth about evil Islam and get tough, and take the measures that are necessary to protect non-Muslims. To me, the main thing we need to do is try to shut all Muslims out of all non-Muslim countries. The Pope keeps saying just let the invading refugees in. One thing is for sure, and this is where this foolish Pope, and other similar leaders, are very wrong. The Christian God doesn’t call for us to commit suicide, well, cultural suicide, by letting Muslims into our countries. Christian Europe had to throw the Muslims out in the past. And, of course, the Pope should know about Islam and its violent nature. There’s really no excuse for his ignorance. Many people would, unfortunately, take notice of what he says, as Carolyne acknowledges. AnotherJWreader, I hope he does care about people but is just ignorant.

God help us and forgive our sins! It is very sad to see a Pope doing such things; he is a very bad influence indeed; but please remember that there is nothing at all infallible about the Pope’s doing and saying, except when he speaks officially in the name of the Church from the Chair (“ex cathedra”) and about Dogma or Moral (that is Catholic Church Doctrine, by the way). Politics and Islamic doctrines are not such subjects, of course, He should read St. Thomas Aquinas (and others) about Islam…. He should listen to other people; there are in the vatican many priests, bishops and cardinals who know firsthand what Islam really is.
Is he really bad, or just senile? Is his humilty “fake” or real?Whatever the case, may God send the Church better guides!
(Please forgive any grammar/spelling mistakes; I am not a native speaker/writer of English)!

Your English and grammar are both excellent.

I don’t think the Pope means to be evil, nor does he know he is evil, it is just the nature of the position which he holds to be evil. It is ‘way past time that humans think any one person can speak for a supernatural being. It is all illusion, invented by primitive men to help alleviate the fear of death. “Do as I say or the devil will get you.”

Counting beads and seeing visions are all part of the illusion.

Perhaps the Pope thinks that he will pick up a few tips from the Muslims before he begins his final push against the Protestants. Otherwise, he is wasting his time talking to them.

“In this world there is only one party of God; all others are parties of Satan and rebellion. There is only one law which ought to be followed, and that is the Shari’ah from God; anything else is mere emotionalism and impulsiveness. A Muslim can have only two possible relations with Dar-ul-Harb: peace with a contractual agreement or war.”
