Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Reza Aslan: “A hijab is a thing that a male Muslim should have absolutely no opinion about”

Sep 5, 2017 1:05 pm By Robert Spencer

While putting together this post about Linda Sarsour’s race transformation, I noticed that the only male in the video was the fey Muslim media darling Reza Aslan, who claims that “a hijab is a thing that a male Muslim should have absolutely no opinion about.” Later on in the video, someone else assures us that the hijab is entirely a matter of choice, not of coercion.

Those things are easily said, but they don’t match reality. What does Reza Aslan have to say about Aqsa Parvez, whose Muslim father choked her to death with her hijab after she refused to wear it? Or Amina Muse Ali, a Christian woman in Somalia whom Muslims murdered because she wasn’t wearing a hijab? Or the 40 women who were murdered in Iraq in 2007 for not wearing the hijab; or Alya Al-Safar, whose Muslim cousin threatened to kill her and harm her family because she stopped wearing the hijab in Britain; or Amira Osman Hamid, who faced whipping in Sudan for refusing to wear the hijab; or the Egyptian girl, also named Amira, who committed suicide after being brutalized for her family for refusing to wear the hijab; or the Muslim and non-Muslim teachers at the Islamic College of South Australia who were told that they had to wear the hijab or be fired; or the women in Chechnya whom police shot with paintballs because they weren’t wearing hijab; or the women also in Chechnya who were threatened by men with automatic rifles for not wearing hijab; or the elementary school teachers in Tunisia who were threatened with death for not wearing hijab; or the Syrian schoolgirls who were forbidden to go to school unless they wore hijab; or the women in Gaza whom Hamas has forced to wear hijab; or the women in Iran who protested against the regime by daring to take off their legally-required hijab; or the women in London whom Muslim thugs threatened to murder if they didn’t wear hijab; or the anonymous young Muslim woman who doffed her hijab outside her home and started living a double life in fear of her parents; or the fifteen girls in Saudi Arabia who were killed when the religious police wouldn’t let them leave their burning school building because they had taken off their hijabs in their all-female environment; or all the other women and girls who have been killed or threatened, or who live in fear for daring not to wear the hijab?

All of these women were threatened, brutalized and/or killed by Muslim men for refusing to wear the hijab. Does Reza Aslan have anything to say to those men? No? Why not? Who is standing in solidarity with these women? Those who taunt or brutalize hijab-wearing women are louts and creeps, and should be prosecuted if they commit any acts of violence. At the same time, the women who don’t wear hijab in Muslim countries are far more likely to be victims of violence than hijabis in the West. Who speaks for them?

ASLAN FORGETS TO MENTION THAT ISLAM-À-LA-CARTE like his is FORBIDDEN!

Koran 33.36 – “It is not fitting for a believing man or woman to exercise any choice in his or her own affairs once God and His Messenger have reached a decision upon them. Anyone who disobeys God and His Messenger is in manifest error.”

Aslan MAKE UP his own heretical version of Islam. This is called ‘BIDA’. ‘Bida’ may be punished by beatings, imprisonment or death or all three.

    • Westman says

      Sep 5, 2017 at 4:12 pm

Yes, Aslan certaiinly is an Islamic idelogical food faddist.

Islam’s hijab and female cloaking is an endangerment to the West because the migrant Muslim men have not learned to control themselves under that system. Then they come to the West, and are excited, and too many become exploiters because the ideology does not prohibit the exploitation of infidel women. Then the reprehensible government “leaders” blame it on the victim.

      • gravenimage says

        Sep 5, 2017 at 7:31 pm

I don’t think Aslan believes this–it is just that he is now pretending that the Hijab is purely a woman’s choice, and some sort of feminist statement.

Of course, if Muslims ever take over, you will not find anyone flogging this.

      • Michael Copeland says

        Sep 6, 2017 at 4:30 am

“…because the migrant Muslim men have not learned to control themselves”.
        Really?
Muslim men are INSTRUCTED to control women.
        They are told:
“Any woman not wearing a headscarf is asking to be raped”.
“Their women are yours to take, legitimately. Allah made them yours.”
“It is their penalty for disbelief.”
Raping kaffir women is thus presented as a devout soldier’s duty: it “brings us closer to Allah”.

        • gravenimage says

          Sep 6, 2017 at 7:45 pm

True, Michael. This is not about Muslims lacking control, but about their wanting to violently control others.

Sayyid Qutb version of Koran 33.36 “Whenever God and His Messenger have decided a matter, it is not for a believing man or a believing woman to claim FREEDOM OF CHOICE in that matter. Whoever disobeys God and His Messenger strays far into error.”

Sorry, Reza, THERE IS NO FREEDOM OF CHOICE or OPTIONAL VEIL in Islam. Allah AND his messenger got together as partners and THEY made the decision together.

Mariam, I didn’t quite go so far(it still bothered the parents). I’m agnostic, even with a science degree. I’m not hedging the bet. I just can’t find ample evidence on either side to determine who this “God” is or that it’s all a random creation. I’m quite willing to wait for the actual other side of life if there is one. I don’t fear a truly educated and experienced God. It’s dogmatic religionists that are dangerous.

The religionists have guessed their way for thousands of years and had not a few “prophets” who sold their own theology or what they thought was best for the community. Science eventually caught up with their ignorance and has led to some discredit.

Someone(a god) who burned people who didn’t obey what he/she commands, yet has the highest intellect, doesn’t make sense for anything but a vicious dictator; running a human ant farm. A dictator would micro-manage yet there has been nothing for thousands of years. If there is a God, the Islam version cannot be it.

    • Westman says

      Sep 5, 2017 at 6:34 pm

In most cases, yes. However where it is necessary to remove it for identification and security there must be exceptions. Try googling hijab, abaya, niqab, burqa, bank robber crime and see what has already happened,

    • gravenimage says

      Sep 5, 2017 at 7:49 pm

Some Muslim women use it as a form of Muslim surpremacy, which lebel from his posting history clearly applauds.

    • Jack Diamond says

      Sep 5, 2017 at 7:57 pm

Regardless if they want to or don’t want to, it falls under the category of ibadat, religious observances and regulations and is part of the Shariah. Just like the mosque and halal meat and just like the jihad. Muslim women have a choice, until they don’t. And when Islam gets the upper hand they don’t.

And if, in freedom, they choose garments of slavery and oppression, or badges of Islamofacism, we are to celebrate it? Find it charming and harmless? The Hijab is nothing less than the announcement, right in the face of the infidels, that Islam is here! Shari’a is here, infidels! That is exactly what they mean wearing it (besides don’t kill me, father).

Well, the infidels get used to it don’t they? Pretty soon the progression to the burqa or niqab hardly raises an eyebrow in cosmopolitan dar al-Harb, so tolerant of women’s right to wear what she pleases and not be harassed. It becomes the new normal. Without thinking any deeper about the matter, without understanding Islam and how it advances and what it intends.

        The veiled muslim woman is
“a Soldier of Islam….. Flag-carrier for Islam; the flag is, of course, the veil.”

        • Jack Diamond says

          Sep 6, 2017 at 4:33 pm

          Yes, excellent and eloquent.

“I am grateful to the “Islamists”
for showing us the true face of Mohamed,
because, they imitate him. In the Middle East
the people of ISIS do no more than apply
          and reproduce what Mohamed did
14 centuries ago. And so I thank them
For showing us the true face of Islam.

But unfortunately we have not completely
left behind us the doubletalk nor the aversion
towards speaking of the subject. Because
          this fear of being persecuted
makes it so that we do not always speak
Truly. At the time, of course, the precautions employed
were to speak of “Islamism” and not of “Islam”.

And then also, one still spoke of the
          Muslim woman as a victim
of the veil. Perhaps she is that,
in the Middle East. But in France
she is (a victim) no longer. She is a soldier of Islam.
And at Riposte Laïque I think I have contributed
to finally getting the idea accepted: Let’s stop
believing that the Muslima is only
          a… let’s say… victim.
          No. She is the vector.

          Today here in France:
her veil says to us all
“I am Muslima and I will only marry a Muslim or a
Well-circumcised convert. It is SHE who facilitates a not insignificant number
          of conversions via her bed.
          Believe me.
And while we have not understood this,
as long we don’t understand that with the Muslima
and her veil, the melting pot
is completely torpedoed, we will have understood nothing.

We will not understand why the French nation is breaking up.
And so I have contributed a little to this idea
that we must move the Muslima from her status of victim
to the one of soldier for Islam. Even its flag-carrier.
Flag-carrier for Islam; the flag is, of course, the veil.”

Many Muslim women in western countries say they have to get approval to not wear a hihab or niqab in order to comply with dress codes. If there is a ban, then it would be harder to punish women who don’t want to wear it.

What was that quote from that charming young lady?…. “When I put on my hjiab I’m no longer
like those ordinary white girls in New York”……So is that an admission that she’s WORSE? Or is she telling us that she’s an arrogant racist, convinced of her aristocratic superiority over all those kuffar peasants? Well the only ‘superiority’ I could make out in all the smug swaggerings of that procession of ‘delectable’ young females modelling the pieces of rag over their heads lay in the sheer decibel quantity of acoustic garbage issuing from their oral cavities. And to think that the forbears of those ‘ordinary white girls’ would have been creating that not-so-ordinary great metropolis of international repute whilst the ancestors of this veritable paragon of perfection with the cleaning cloth on her head were probably mucking out their camels in their moth-eaten tents. Yes, dear, oh chosen one of Allah, you are SO much better than the rest of us – in your dreams! The trouble is, your ‘dreams’ are every civilised persons’ nightmare. And, having seen and heard these charming creatures expounding on the sanctity of their precious headgear, I now know who to avoid like the plague when I see them coming. There’s an interesting contrast between these pretentious paragons and the good ladies of the industrial northern mill towns of the UK, who also usually wore scarves over their heads; that is mill girls put the scarves on for protection, worked hard for the good of the wider community, were decent and honest and had no time to be insufferably conceited.

It seems, that we never get any real answer on our questions, if you get an answer, it is so illogic, that
one starts to wonder if everything is still ok in the brains of those people who are answering, or no answers at all from the lefts. It is amazing. See above question, one of the many about a moslim young girl
who refused to wear her hijab, and so the father chokes her to death (Aqsa Parvez).
Why isn’t there anybody and a leftist who gives a good logical answer, and explain why you find this normal !!!. This is not normal this is an atrocity. You are killing your own child for a hijab, you kill your child for honour, what honour and for whom., for other people who do the same to their children.
Citizens of countries should be protected against you by their governments. That will only happen when you kill or rape a son or daughter from the elite or the government or a mayors daughter. But Muslims don’t do that, because they know what will happen then, but may be one day you can find your brains back. And one day, you will have to, so says our God and you are not aloud to conquer the world.

Not sure if this was mentioned but even non Muslim women are being forced to wear a hijab or worse when in a “Muslim country” and almost without question when in the presence of a muslim man. If Mr Azlan’s usual fantasy Islam was as he claims, what would be the point if the hijab is optional or not highly frowned upon or outright illegal as it is in much of the Islamic world? Even non Muslim female politicians and religious leaders SUBMIT to wearing the hijab in the presence of the “all powerful” male Muslims of places like Saudi Arabia and Iran.

With the left constantly focused on the “lies” coming from President Trump, it’s a real surprise to see they’re outright support and belief in lie after lie from many of the Muslims of the world. The sad part is that trumps lies rarely do anything of note while Islam’s lies are responsible for the death, destruction and subjugation of more than a billion human beings just from within islam alone. That doesn’t even account for the countless others who have suffered from the lies and deeds of Muslims for some 1400 years.

Everyone in the world who is not a Muslim and NOT YET a dhimmi need to take a firm stand and reject and oppose these lies and deeds at every turn. I like to think of the great John Paul Jones when this thought crosses my mind…We have not yet begun go fight!

    What about cannibalism?
what do muslim males think about the revolting business of eating human brain tissue?

Surely the muslim male must have opinions on this.

Muslim men should show solidarity with their muslima sisters and cover their faces:
    The Murqa;burqas for men

Everything in islam appears to be geared towards satisfying the male.

You can have “two, three, four” women if you like in an immoral, sinful, polygamous relationship says allah in koran 4 v 3..But why stop there? How about 7,8 or 9?
So allah conveniently accommodates the male but a muslim woman with “two, three ,four” husbands would not please allah.Yes,that would be wrong.

And when the devout muslim man goes to paradise the male carnal fantasy continues..

    72 virgins.

According to muhammed(the most incredibly perfect and holiest man that ever existed)most of those who go to hell are.. women. All that hijab wearing for nothing!

The needs of women in paradise seem not to be considered by allah except yo be subject to the male.

What do they get in paradise from allah?

A sewing kit,a half-eaten candy bar and a message from allah “you are super! Now clean the toilets on your way out, love xxx allah”
