“Lately, the SPLC has expanded its bogus ‘hate’ dragnet to include respected conservative leaders exposing Islamic extremism, like Jihad Watch founder Robert Spencer and ex-Muslim feminist Ayaan Hirsi Ali.”
Did the SPLC ever see a foe of jihad terror that it didn’t smear as a “hater”?
“Here’s how this liberal law center seeks to crush opponents of the LGBT agenda,” Life Site News, August 31, 2017:
August 31, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is receiving millions of dollars in new grants in the wake of the Charlottesville protest riots, even as criticism of the leftist group grows over its politicized “hate” designations that now target liberals exposing Islamic jihadists.
The SPLC, which serves as a tool of the Left by mislabeling mainstream conservative organizations and leaders as “haters” and “extremists,” is already one of the best funded politically-oriented non-profit groups in the world. SPLC’s 990 IRS filing for 2015 reports $58,176,499 in total revenue, an astonishing amount for a politically-oriented non-profit.
Moreover, SPLC self-reported an endowment fund of more than $319 million in its 2016 annual report, also unheard of in the world of non-profit organizations dealing with “culture war” issues. Another troublesome issue is the SPLC’s shifting in recent years of millions of dollars to offshore accounts (the Cayman Islands), a bizarre practice for a tax-exempt organization.
(To compare, Family Research Council (FRC), one of the largest pro-family organizations in the U.S., reported total 2015 revenues of nearly $16 million plus operating reserves of just over $4 million. FRC was smeared as a “hate group” by the SPLC, leading to an attempted mass-murder of FRC’s employees in 2012 by “gay” activist Floyd Lee Corkins, who said he used the SPLC’s spurious “hate” list to target the faith-based group’s headquarters in D.C.)
Despite growing criticism from conservatives and even some liberals like Bill Maher over the SPLC’s manipulative “hate” scheme, its shady financial practices, sloppy methods, embarrassing inaccuracies, and overzealous fundraising, the SPLC continues to receive wide support among “progressives.” Along with fellow anti-conservative activists at Anti-Defamation League (ADL), SPLC was well-positioned to benefit financially from outrage over the tragic death of a woman at the hands of an enraged white nationalist in Charlottesville.
The following are among recent reported grants to SPLC:
— Apple Corporation gave $1 million to both the SPLC and Anti-Defamation League (ADL), another leftist organization with a penchant for calling social conservatives “haters.”
— Actor George Clooney and his wife, Amal, gave SPLC $1 million through their foundation to “stand up to hate”;
— JP Morgan Chase Bank gave $500,000 to the SPLC to advance the SPLC’s “work in tracking, exposing and fighting hate groups and other extremist organizations.” (ADL also received $500,000 from Chase.)
Apple & SPLC share ‘inclusion’ doublespeak
“I believe Apple has led by example, and we’re going to keep doing that,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook, an open homosexual and LGBTQ advocate, explaining the corporation’s grant to SPLC, CNS News reported. “We have always welcomed people from every walk of life to our stores around the world and showed them that Apple is inclusive of everyone.”
Now, if you’re gullible enough to believe that Apple and Mr. Cook truly care about “inclusion” and real “diversity,” I’ve got a brand new iPhone7 Plus I’ll sell you for a buck….
Ironically, by spreading its contemptible Big Lie equating honorable Christian groups like FRC with wicked neo-Nazis, the SPLC emboldens crazed leftists like Floyd Lee Corkins to strike out violently against alleged “haters.” Propaganda works.
Lately, the SPLC has expanded its bogus “hate” dragnet to include respected conservative leaders exposing Islamic extremism, like Jihad Watch founder Robert Spencer and ex-Muslim feminist Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
Ali, who like Spencer was mislabeled as an “anti-Muslim extremist” by the SPLC, writes that “the SPLC has nothing to say about Islamic extremists; only about their opponents.” Ditto for the SPLC’s partisan silence about LGBT extremists.
Big salaries
SPLC executives get paid big bucks to slander social conservatives and truth warriors against radical Islam.
In 2015, Richard Cohen, the SPLC’s president, took in a salary of $355,140 plus $47,650 in non-salaried compensation for a total package of $402,790. (See page 45 on this SPLC IRS 990 filing.)
SPLC co-founder and chief counsel Morris Dees received a salary the same year of $359,592 plus extra compensation of 46,679, for a total of 406,271, according to the IRS filings.
Mark Potok, senior fellow at the SPLC, collected a 2015 salary of $147,821 plus $31,629 in “other compensation” for a total of $179,450.
Thus, three of the SPLC’s top staffers earned a combined income in 2015 of nearly $1 million — $988,511 to be exact.
William Jacobson, clinical professor of Law at Cornell Law School, once supported the SPLC’s work against the Klan but has become a passionate critic of the organization since discovering the SPLC’s rampant corruption, which includes exaggerating the threat of organized racist activity for fundraising purposes. Now Jacobson exposes how the Center recklessly mislabels traditionalists and foes of intolerant Islam as “haters.”…

The persecution of Robert Spencer, and other pro-family conservatives and anti-Islam information-providers, really grieves me. We are in the End Times and persecution of Christians will increase.

Yes. I’m glad your head is also not in the sand as with so many others on the landscape!

Now, if the SPLC or its backers would offer the same deal, I’d be glad to relieve them of a new iPhone:
Quote from RS: “Now, if you’re gullible enough to believe that Apple and Mr. Cook truly care about “inclusion” and real “diversity,” I’ve got a brand new iPhone7 Plus I’ll sell you for a buck….”
But if RS is correct, their money is being moved offshore. Why?
Mr. Cook should have a commitment to his company’s shareholders to at least educate himself before he makes a fool of himself; and I assume he is an educated man, so he should live up to the standards and principles that civilized men live by.
As a substantial stockholder in Apple, I wonder if he/they would grant me time to address the next stockholders’ meeting regarding how the shareholders’ assets are being spent.
History is not going to be kind to the current crop of tech companies, who seem to be without any values and basic principles. He (Cook) has just given away money that is due the shareholders including me. Did they approve this donation? And do the minority shareholders have any rights? I believe they do.
I am not an attorney familiar with these matters, but maybe there is someone out there who could comment on a corporate officer’s arbitrary and capricious actions that can clearly be proved detrimental to shareholders’ interests. Class action, anybody?

SPLC has cornered the market on conspicuous virtue signalling and, ironically, has become a hate group itself, as well as an opponent of free speech.
I hope they are exposed as yet another fraudulent “charity” collecting money to spend on themselves.

The United Nations, that includes all the members of the OIC, and has a connective tissue of being a sort of left.. socialist country on our northern border, with a new smiling PM, seems to be also an enthusiastic promoter of the religion of tolerance as Obama. He has encouraged a huge amount of migration and is “welcoming” a huge amount of ” refugees” with signs, and some arabic religious phrases ..to the kind hearts that arrive. A hearty group arriving by, truck, car bus or taxi to the border… luggage and cell phones and money, fleeing sharia, or is it terrorism or war that they flee? So to honor the population that is arriving, he encouraged the passage of M-103 to stop ( forbid or silence )any criticism of the religion that may carry criminal penalties, that they would have eventually demanded and want others to follow. How polite and politically astute. It is also a sign that a new legal system called sharia has arrived, and the large movement of people crossing the border could overwhelm some small villages. The new citizens will need food, money and shelter, a Canadian safe space, but most of all, now they can rest assured not a peep of criticism will reach the new comers ears, since they already established the organization that forbids factual analysis that may come calling. A few ex- muslims who fled sharia law, now have to fear for their lives from fatwa’s and the uninformed non believers will be clueless about what is to come. But in case, the PM, decides to change his mind, he might want to read the quran and make sure he is prepared, things aren’t always as peaceful on second glance once examined. Yep we went through that too…we have many peaceful mosques in every state…that teach the doctrine….and with the same demand to change our first amendment on free speech and sort of a dog catcher of hate words or facts with legal skills will send advisories to companies. Send money.

i meant to write … “and a socialist country on our norther border”, I did not mean to imply the U.N. or the O.I.C. was a country….although the O.I.C and the U.N. seem to be an majority Islamic group.
I am just going to add that I read today, while I was curious about the Texas Gov. and the Mayor of Houston having 2 different responses to the massive approaching hurricane, I was also was curious about the Houston Oil Refinery and this one source said it was recently purchased and controlled by Saudi Arabia????? Oh sh..! Along with the sudden furious fire in California and North Korea with a hydrogen bomb…I have such a spinning head….I just had to let it out and ask has anyone else read about to situation, about the oil refineries….ownership. This faith in Islamic countries by our national security to be our reliable ally, has gone way, way way beyond the borders of reason or sanity. Read the book, read the Quran…I am saddened by some of our leadership….we have some big flaws when this ignorance prevails.

The prophesies are being fulfilled down to the nitty gritty detail.
Remember; in the end…we WON if:
1. We continued to do the right thing.
2. We were steadfast and did not back down even if persecuted.
3. Even if it looks to the world like our rights have been taken away and we ‘lost,’ such as being in prison and so on.
4. We go out doing what is good and do not cave in to the pressure to conform to their false narrative.
It’s not all about winning headway and natural rights in the world, that is great, but it is those who will cave to their agenda and live a comfortable life temporarily that will have lost.
No matter what they throw our way, we win if we don’t give in, if we stand firm till the end on our principles of good, righteousness, and truth. That is the challenge that lies before us, more than any other. Run the race to win! (insert drumroll march and chariots of fire melody here)
Just remember, our finish line is in heaven!

Relic, this was when OJ Simpson was just known as a great football player and a journeyman actor. There was a time when I was proud of him, as well. That time is *long* past–but nothing that Jack Webb could have known about at the time.

Your comment, “if you say ‘the Bible’, then you are no different than the Muslims who throw gays (off ) buildings.” You can’t be serious, what? In this country that’s a crime, to throw anyone off a building, and for a Christian “thou shall not kill”, overrides the do not sleep with same sex, under sharia you get rewarded…no crime committed and you will get blessings….sorry not at all the same. One religion is tolerant and respects life, the other says they are but have commands to slay the ones that they think are in a state of fitna, a practicing gay man or lesbian woman, or causing mischief or unbelief, which many times is a state of hypocrisy. Apparently the news reports of slaughter at gay bars explained nothing to you, he and the escaped aids killed with no intent?
