Shi’ites justify temporary marriage or pleasure marriage, mutah, by their reading of Qur’an 4:24, which begins by detailing the women with whom a Muslim man cannot have sexual relations — married women except for sex slaves. Then it continues to detail women with whom one may have sex as long as they are given their “due compensation”:
And married women except those your right hands possess, the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are beyond these that you seek them with your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.
Shi’ites see in this permission for a temporary marriage for pleasure, contracted by means of payment (“due compensation”) for a specified time by mutual agreement.
Some Sunnis practice this also, particularly in Saudi Arabia, where Khashoggi is from. In this case, the contract was apparently for five years.
“Former Vogue model lifts veil on her life as a ‘pleasure wife’ for Saudi billionaire,” Express Tribune, October 23, 2017 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
A former Vogue cover model has revealed details of her years as a ‘pleasure wife’ for the world’s richest man, an arms dealer from Saudi Arabia.
Speaking on Channel Nine‘s 60 Minutes on Sunday night, Jill Dodd, now 58, lifted the veil on her life with notorious billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, who was almost 30 years her senior, reported Daily Mail.
Ms Dodd revealed she was a ‘naive’ 21-year-old model when she met Khashoggi at a party and he wrote on her arm in blood as a means of introducing himself.
“He pulled up my sleeve and he wrote ‘I love you’ I was like oh my god that’s blood and I was kind of shocked, but I thought it was really funny and cute at the same time,” she said.
Khashoggi was already a married father-of-five when he met Ms Dodd, but pursued a relationship because he was allowed up to 12 women to serve as his ‘pleasure wives’.
Ms Dodd quickly became a member of Khashoggi’s harem, living in lavish suites in Saudi Arabia and taking turns to have sex with the billionaire arms dealer.
While she realised she was living a life of luxury thanks to her relations with Khashoggi, she continues to defend the legitimacy of their relationship.
“I never thought of myself as a hooker, I still don’t think that,” she said.
Ms Dodd revealed the business tycoon made her sign a contract before they started a relationship.
“He said ‘I want to take care of you, I want to make a five-year contract with you. I’ll provide everything for you and you will be at my beck and call 24 hours a day’,” she said.
And… she accepted.
Khashoggi was a Saudi Arabian businessman who made billions dealing arms on the international market.
Ms Dodd said she and Khashoggi went to lavish parties with politicians and royalty, and shared drug-fuelled evenings together.
“We did (cocaine) recreationally. We would lock ourselves in a room for days, we would make love, we would eat, the chef would bring us food,” she said.
“I believe I was in love with him,” she confessed.
The American woman said she loved Khashoggi and did not regret her years as his ‘pleasure wife’….

Well, she is not a hooker. She was just a Mistress. While mistress is common in every society, only muslims give legitimacy to the concept of harem. And, they actively practice it. Not every muslims can afford a harem full of women though. Then, they go for goat, sheep, donkey, camel etc.

In the field of psychology, cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort (psychological stress) experienced by a person who simultaneously holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values.

I have no problem whatsoever with Muslims who stay in Muslim countries and do what Muslims do. The contract was mutual and not coerced. As opposed to the deluded Western women who think that by marrying a Muslim they will actually get the husband they envisioned, she entered into the relationship with open eyes and was not forced to remain in Saudi Arabia.
My object comes when Muslims leave Muslim countries and come to Western countries, especially when they maintain their practices. It is common knowledge in Britain that multiple Muslim women will marry one husband and set themselves up in separate households on welfare, claiming to be single mothers. If someone were to want to make a substantial bet that I couldn’t easily find such cases in the US, let me have your contact information.
But, it’s high time the US government stopped trying to dictate the practices, politics, and values in other countries, especially through a military presence. I have no objection to Western contractors, such as oil or construction workers, taking gigs in Muslim countries. Jill Dodd essentially made a pile of money as a contract worker in Saudi Arabia. Mazel tov to her and best wishes to her as she hopefully lives comfortably on her investment nest egg.

You would not expect a person like that to follow any sort of sensible procedures. The drug-soaked parties make it worse. You bring drugs into the mixture and anything goes.
I’m not saying I approve of such choices; I’m saying if it’s in Muslim countries and a contractor goes there voluntarily with knowledge of the terms, no outside government has any business in the matter.
I do, however, thoroughly approve of publicizing the details and terms of the arrangement, as a warning to keep these people out of our countries.

Mark 8:36 – What good is it for someone to gain the whole world but lose his soul?
The whole world can mean riches, a high standing among men in society or other esteemed worldly pleasures or benefits. The soul can mean not only one’s literal life now but one’s worth in God’s eyes but His determination as to whether that one is worthy of everlasting life. Mere worldly riches are nothing compared to what God offers.
PATRICIA FRANCES KOENIG says
Both the Muslim billionaire and Jill Dodd were in the wrong. The Koran and Islamic teaching approve of harems and “pleasure marriages,” either by prostitution or coercion. Presumably Ms. Dodd is from a Christian nation. So, a comparison is in order. Christianity (historically) has disapproved of any sexual activity outside of a genuine marriage… and (historically) has not approved of manipulations and deceits such as “pleasure marriages.”

I know I’m going to get crap making this connection but…
This arms dealer is a philandering pig who contracted a deal of riches to a woman in exchange sexual favors. She accepted the deal, despite the bloody note she said was “cute” and doesn’t think of herself as a victim.
Yet Harvey Weinstein offers basically the same deal, riches in exchange for sexual favors, and the women who accepted this deal with the devil now call themselves victims while we hear next to NOTHING about the women who had the moral fortitude to tell Harvey to take a hike?
Why haven’t the feminazis and liberals who have been beating each other to the front of the trash Weiner-stien line, said NOTHING about Islam.
carpediadem says
This woman enjoyed herself. The Weinstein women did not and were coerced and intimidated. It’s completely different.
Not Supid Enough says
That’s LIBERAL logic.
It is NOT completely different because Weinstein’s so called “victims” were NOT imprisoned, or chained up, or dragged into the room.
When Weinstein exposed himself, the door was open to walk away from the deal with the devil.
Some women DID have the guts to do so, and THOSE women were the victims because their careers suffered. THEY paid penalty for sticking to some principles.
The rest said, “I am willing to put up with this for the money.” They CHOSE not to kick Weinstein in between the legs, because they wanted the reward, when they should have reported the slime bucket to the police.
And the men of Hollywood are no better. They all KNEW, like Clooney and Damon, and not one had the morals to kick the snot out of Weinstein.
The cowards didn’t even have the courage to gang up on him.
Hollywoodisrottentothecore says
No it’s not completely different.
The women “enjoyed” the rewards of agreeing to Weinstein’s terms. As far as we know they weren’t chained up, locked up, or beaten into agreeing to anything, and could have walked out the door at any time.
And reported to the police.
Yes their careers would have suffered, and it’s the women who DID refuse, who are the REAL victims here. THEY paid the price of standing up to a monster.
Any who took Weinstein’s deal with the Devil knew exactly what they were doing, and accepted the terms.
And the men of Hollywood, like George Clooney and Matt Damon, are just as bad, enablers for Weinstein. After they became power players, they didn’t have the courage to gang up on Weinstein.
Because they ENJOYED the rewards of letting his behavior slide.
Jack Diamond says
This guy used to be featured weekly on “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” lounging around on his yacht surrounded by a bevy of blondes in bikinis. Even Vogue models have to eat (caviar).
Equally fawned over by host Robin Leech, er Leach, (“the richest man in the world!!!”) with ne’re a mention about the sources of his wealth (that would be bad manners) or his function for the Saudis– paying bribes, spreading corruption (alas, a welcome corruption in U.S. Halls of Power in the years before 9/11).
From that one million dollars stuffed in a briefcase that Khashoggi “forgot” and left behind during a visit with Nixon in San Clemente, to his role in Iran contra working with the BCCI bank (Bank of Crooks & Criminals–and jihad) for the money part of the arms-for-hostages deal.
“I was like oh my god that’s blood and I was kind of shocked, but I thought it was really funny and cute at the same time”. Blood and blood money too! Too cute for words, Jill.
Jack Diamond says
More trivia, Khashoggi’s father was personal physician to the Saudi king and his nephew was Dodi Fayed, Diana’s final boyfriend. In 1974 he was the basis for the Harold Robbin’s trash novel “The Pirate”. Eventually his life caught up with him, his notoriety lost him patronage, he did time, there were lawsuits, he went from billions to mere millions. Other Saudis on other yachts took his place and the models flocked there. No more jet set friends. No more George Hamilton and Brooke Shields. Tragic.
Khashoggi wasn’t just having sex for himself, the women were used as sexual bribes to sweeten his deals. “One of the greatest whoremongers in the world, Khashoggi was generous to a fault and provided the same girls to members of the Saudi royal family as well as to business associates and party friends.” –Dominick Dunne, Vanity Fair
Donald Trump: “Khashoggi was a great broker and a lousy businessman,” Trump said to me that night. “He understood the art of bringing people together and putting together a deal better than almost anyone—all the bullshitting part, of talk and entertainment—but he never knew how to invest his money.” –Dominick Dunne, Vanity Fair 7/15/2008

Wonder how the other members of the harem viewed her? Was she the only Westerner? Personally, I’m not one to judge another woman’s behavior; after all, she wasn’t breaking any laws and was actually living up to her end of the bargain! But why and how did she leave? Are they still in touch? Is the old bastard still alive? It’s not a life for everyone; personally, I would have felt isolated and sad, so far from family, friends and familiar sites. Also, she missed the challenges and rewards of a career or even a life of community service!
Jack Diamond says
The story is that she “enjoyed” herself and made herself the sex toy of an agent of the despicable, misogynist, jihadist Saudi regime. The corrupting influence he and innumerable Saudi princes have had
on the West, from making use of empty headed models to making use of Senators and Presidents, all for the cause of the camp of Islam and to the detriment of the camp of the infidels, is a story. A story of a mortal threat to the West disguised as a bacchanalia.
The smooth-talking Mr. Khashoggi (“Cashoggi”), always a gentleman, was an arms dealer and a money-man for the Kingdom. His activities are murky and no doubt there is much to be learned, but he was certainly involved with the criminal BCCI bank, in itself a sort of jihad on the world’s financial system. The executive director of BCCI was Sheikh Khalid bin Mahfouz, the Saudi banker behind Khashoggi’s businesses and an al Qaeda financier. Mahfouz was linked to the IIRO and Benevolence International, Saudi al Qaeda conduits. There are rumors of Khashoggi all over the place, from arms in Chechnia to arming the Medellin cartel, so he wasn’t just snorting cocaine and providing whores to seal business deals. He was what we should now view as an enemy agent, post 9/11.
TheBuffster says
And the model’s role was to be a high-end bimbo – one of many – for this high-rolling louse. Unless she was also used as a bribe for his business associates (and hence helped him make his blood money), the most she contributed to his life was as a personal and private toy and not terribly significant if at all to his harming of others. The biggest harm here was to herself – she sold herself for the use of a villain, an enemy of decency and a facilitator of mass murder done in the name of Allah against those who resist Islam, and now she has to contort her perceptions and evade facts – to corrupt her mental faculty – in order not to grasp the full import of what she was doing and where her wealth came from. Those with more active brains will see her for the moral flake that she is and roll their eyes, but she’ll find plenty of shiny-eyed soul mates to keep her company who’ll think she’s interesting and exciting.
Lucky (?) for her, she seems to be good at being shallow and avoiding connections and deeper meanings.
The problem is that there seems to be plenty of “beautiful people” out there who are just as simple-minded as Jill Dodd but who have more influence than this pleasure wife/ model/fashion designer- beautiful people who help men like Khashoggi in more significant ways but with just as little depth of understanding and concern with the fuller ethical picture.

..and that’s allah’s neat trick of breaking God’s Commandment condemning adultery(the 7th).
What would be the point of God giving His Commandments condemning such things as wilful murder, lying, adultery….only for allah/mo to come along in the 7th c AD… and
COMPLETELY CONTRADICT THEM?
Take any koranic teaching and you see that allah twists God’s Commandments to suit muslims..
Amazingly, muslims think they are going to paradise..but either you follow God’s Laws(on His terms,His Commandments) or you follow allah’s warped violations of God’s Law(in which case the muslim suits himself, thinking that it must be ok because allah sanctions it in his koran).
But you cannot follow two masters or two contradictory laws.Muslims will not get away with sinning against God through polygamy, taqqiya lying(“bearing false witness”
is a sin to God)by saying that “oh but allah in the koran says it is ok..”
It is the Original Commandments that count…NOT what the koran says.. because the koran does not conform to God’s Laws.Indeed, the fact that the koran does not agree with God’s Laws means that the voice of allah of the koran is NOT the same as the God who gave His Laws to Moses.
There would be no disagreement otherwise i.e if allah was the same as God.

That is shocking to hear. How is it possible that a free American woman deliberately submitted and enjoyed captivity and working as a sex slave? How could she tolerate life in Saudi Arabia? I don’t think what Dodd did qualifies as slavery, since she agreed to it willingly and made a contract with a time limit and apparently was paid as agreed and was even let out of her contract early when she became “uncomfortable” with it.
What it was was a long-term but limited contract for prostitution, a sexual business deal. It’s repugnant to someone with a more profound idea of love, romance, and sex, but to a shallow sort who is looking for sexual adventure and glamor and money minus philosophical depth it’s just another interesting lark.
Apparently it didn’t occur to her that the guy might not keep his end of the bargain and might not let her out of her contract if she couldn’t stand it, or may not even free her at the end of it. She was very lucky that he wasn’t that sort.

It’s several decades since we’ve heard quite so much about this little creep Adnan Kashoggi. He was no less than a native of Mecca and a relative of that luminary Dodi Fayed. I’d never forgotten him and his smiling face, that of one of the world’s richest men, his grubby fortune made through the sale of arms, in particular to many sub national groups engaged in brutal, endless civil wars of one kind or another, frequently involving child soldiers and appalling atrocities. Yet he never lost his smiling, cheery disposition.
Part of that reason is here unveiled as his having led a life sufficient to make even Harvey Weinstein blush. The other his indifference if not schadenfreude in the immense suffering his cruel trade helped facilitate. All of it happily Halal — fully permitted — when the victim is non Muslim.
It’s disgusting to hear Islam so repeatedly and foolishly referred to as a “deeply conservative” religion regarding its values towards and treatment of women. It’s nothing of the sort. This isn’t simply another major misconception about Islam but an outright lie Muslims use to tout it — and the West keeps falling for it. They even promote Islam this way not just to the Kuffar, as they call us, but to themselves. It’s always mentioned deferentially by our media, seemingly to help differentiate Islam and perhaps even make it superior to our own culture and non Muslim values. Truly sickening ignorance and Dhimmitude.
Islam was devised by and for men. It’s an incongruous composite of a brutally enforced patriarchy and polygamy on the one hand and a whorehouse on the other — both in this world and its supposed next one. Much of the world has suffered this cruelty and hypocrisy for 1400 years. Time to unveil Islam for what it is and end this tragedy.

…………………..
This is *so* true, Schrödinger. The idea that Islam has “conservative” sexual values when it allows polygamy, pedophilia, forced “marriage”, summary divorce for men (the “Triple Talaq”), rape of unbelievers, and the use of sex slaves is sickening.
The most sexually profligate Westerner has more “conservative” sexual standards than this.
TheBuffster says
It depends on whose conservatism we’re talking about.
“Conservatism” isn’t, as I understand it, a particular set of values, but rather the traditional values of a particular culture and a slow, careful approach to changing any of those traditions.
The values that Westerners consider to be conservative are the values and customs upon which our culture was built, including sensible sexual restraint, consideration of long-range consequences, and constitutions that protect individual rights for all – but at one time such constitutions were quite revolutionary. Also, the term “liberal” applied to those who upheld individual rights – liberty – and sought to have such rights as the basis for government.
Socialists stole the term “liberal” for themselves because of its positive associations in people’s minds, despite the fact that what, to them, looked like a way to set people free from want and class oppression was actually the way to enslave all of society to a more complete top-down tyranny than ever.
But those who follow Islamic traditions and stick to them rigidly are *also* conservative – they are following their own cultural traditions, medieval traditions which have been around for centuries. Yes, they are conservative.
Our conservatism is more rational and moral and true than theirs, based on the best in human nature and actually liberal – aimed at individual liberty, rights for free thought and expression and seeking truth for oneself and arguing one’s case in the marketplace of ideas without being beaten or murdered for it. Stuff like that.
Rob says
She had sexual relations with a guy for money and luxuries. There are several English words that apply to such a relationship and none of them are pretty. That her “guy” had multiple “pleasure ponies” in his stable while also being a married family man doesn’t say anything good about his character. And the fact that this woman would willingly entered into such a contractual agreement with her her “patron” certainly doesn’t say anything positive about her character either. If she thinks her arrangement was “love”, then I seriously doubt her mental capabilities.
