Tajikistan has drawn up a register of hundreds of allegedly gay citizens and indicated they would be subject to mandatory testing for sexually transmitted infections.
As humiliating as this move is for the gay population in the Sunni Islamic nation of Tajikistan, of greater concern is the persecution that threatens to follow this “Purge” and “Morality” registry.
The degradation and threats to the gay population is unceasing in Islamic countries and under the Sharia. Many Islamic preachers in the West have also called for the killing of gays, or have openly taught about Allah’s cursing of gays.
Recently, Ali Kadri, spokesperson for the Islamic Council of Queensland in Australia, stated about gays: “We are afraid if we come out with our opinion then the left may abandon us.”
Despite the social, systemic and physical persecution of gays by Islamic supremacists, Westerners are largely silent on the subject, as are Western gay lobbies.
“Tajikistan draws up register of hundreds of gay citizens ‘to protect them from STDs'”, by Harriet Agerholm, UK Independent, October 19, 2017:
Tajikistan has drawn up a register of hundreds of allegedly gay citizens and indicated they would be subject to mandatory testing for sexually transmitted infections.
The state prosecutor’s magazine, Zakonnost, said the list of 367 gay and lesbian people was compiled after it conducted research into the LGBT community.
The announcement has been greeted with alarm by human rights workers, who warned that homophobic policies were spreading throughout the central Asian region.
The prosecutor’s article said 319 gay men and 48 lesbians were identified by federal prosecutors as part of operations called “Purge” and “Morality”.
It did not specify what the tests involved, but said the individuals were “put on a register due to their vulnerability in society and for their safety and to prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases”.
Although Tajikistan decriminalised homosexuality in 1998, abolishing a law from the Soviet-era, stigma remains around the issue and gay people report discrimination by authorities and employers.
Boris Dittrich, advocacy director LGBT rights at Human Rights Watch, told RFE/RL that the registry was part of “a trend going on in which authorities in former Soviet republics are targeting [gay people]”.
“Homophobic state policies are spreading,” he said. “It’s a very scary situation when a government starts to register [gay people] — putting them on a list and then, usually, forcing them to undergo some kind of medical testing.”…..

Many gays are staunch defenders of Islam and Muslims. When I point out stories like this they often call me “Islamophobic” (as well as “hateful”, “intolerant”, “racist”, etc.). Once a lesbian who was majoring in “Womyn’s Studies” told me I should be shot.

For sure there are more than 367 homosexuals in Tajikistan. Hope the list doesn’t grow.

Where are the gay activists when you actually need them

There is something to the semi-joke that is not really meant to be funny but to make a point about the different kinds of negative kind of behavior of a Fundamentalist Baptist Christian male and the kind of behavior of a Fundamentalist Salafist Muslim male when they encounter, at different times, a homosexual man. For when a Fundamentalist Baptist Christian man meets a “gay” man, that type of Christian will say many very ignorant things to him and as a result of those ignorant things said that “gay” man will end up with a headache. In contrast, when a Fundamentalist Salafist Muslim man encounters a homosexual man, that type of Muslim will cut that “gay” man’s head off.

I am a evangelical, politically conservative Christian. I love my gay friends. Jesus loves them too and prays for them. I too do not understand how liberals can defend, especially those branches of Islam that discriminate and will kill gay people.

I’m afraid those “branches of Islam” is all of orthodox Islam.
