The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the world-leading security organisation has warned the spectre of terrorism will continue to haunt Europe for many years to come against an increase in radicalisation in European nations.
“The enduring danger of hardened militants returning to Europe from the Islamic State” was specifically cited; that fact that should be broadly recognized by now.
Meanwhile, Pope Francis is accusing those who have valid concerns about the current immigration crisis of having an “unease because of an innate fear of the foreigner.”
What the Pope et al seem to forget is that the demographics of the West has included a sizeable composition of “foreigners” (aka visible minorities) long before the current Muslim refugee crisis of crime and jihad attacks that has begun since the Syrian war. This is not about white people versus Muslims, as the Pope and many others try to portray it.
It is time for sensible, responsible leadership:
Hitting out at the often half-hearted approach of European governments toward fighting the causes of terrorism, which can be hobbled by concerns of racism, cultural insensitivity, and political correctness the [OSCE] report called for “participating states to be genuine — and forceful.
“OSCE: ‘The Threat of Terrorism Will Occupy Europe For Many, Many Years,” by Oliver JJ Lane, Breitbart, September 20, 2017:
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the world-leading security organisation has warned the spectre of terrorism will continue to haunt Europe for many years to come against an increase in radicalisation in European nations.
Speaking with Austrian foreign minister at the Vienna launch of the new OCSE report Friday, academic Peter Neumann said the threat of terror “will continue to occupy us for many, many years,” as he warned of the enduring danger of hardened militants returning to Europe from the Islamic State.
Stating the trend for the coming years suggested more low-tech, easy to execute but difficult to stop attacks, Neumann said while defeating the Islamic State was an important goal it wouldn’t immediately solve the security situation as other groups would rise to take its place.
The report itself also revealed startling new figures on the extent of terror attacks in the past year. Taking in all attacks by extremists across the 57 nations that make up the OCSE area — broadly Europe, North Africa, and Russia — the body stated there had been 1,000 extremist related deaths in 2016 and “destroyed billions of Euros worth of property and infrastructure”…….
Hitting out at the often half-hearted approach of European governments toward fighting the causes of terrorism, which can be hobbled by concerns of racism, cultural insensitivity, and political correctness the report called for “participating states to be genuine — and forceful.”
Making clear that the work needed to defeat terrorism wouldn’t necessarily be easy, the report stated nations would have to be committed, “even if it means having to change course or re-examine their own policies and actions.”
While the report cites the many attacks and incidents in OSCE countries in 2016, it comes as Europe has experienced a major year of terror attacks in 2017 including the Manchester Arena bombing, the London Bridge attack, and the Barcelona attack.

OSCE Must Act on Anti-Semitism
Youth, Coalitions Key to Winning Anti-Semitism Fight
Germany, in cooperation with the Swiss Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), held the Berlin Tenth Anniversary Conference on Anti-Semitism on November 12-13, 2014, against the backdrop of the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict.
The Conference was set to be a commemorative meeting acknowledging government efforts to combat anti-Semitism over the past decade. However, the recent rise in anti-Semitic incidents such as those that resulted in deaths in Kansas, Brussels, and Toulouse earlier this year, dictated that the meeting focus on a way forward to address current problems. Although the Conference attracted a notably lower level of attendance than it did a decade earlier, participants identified key opportunities for coalition development and OSCE action in the years to come.
The Conference was attended by some 550 participants (including approximately 200 civil society representatives), and featured high-level panelists and speakers including Ambassador Samantha Power, United States Ambassador to the United Nations; Miroslav Lajcák, Slovak Republic Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs; Lynne Yelich, Minister of State of Canada; Paavo Lipponen, Former Prime Minister of Finland; and Tzachi Hanegbi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel.

OSCE – The useful idiots will continue with their terror attacks and we will continue removing all civil liberties from our countries.

Dear deceptive wordsmiths at OSCE. Ghosts cannot murder, rape, extort concessions from a nation, loot society, or destroy property on a massive scale. So this phenomenon being warned about is not the “spectre of terrorism.” Rather, it is actual, very real, straight up terrorism, specifically, Islamic terrorism. And there is no “haunting” involved. Rather, the operative phrase for the citizenry is “being preyed upon.” And, per immutable Islamic doctrine, this is not some phenomenon that is limited in scope or time, as in your euphemistic phrasing “for many years to come.” Islamic terrorism against non-Muslims and non-Muslim society is a permanent condition, and it grows rapidly and inexorably along with the growth of the resident local Muslim population. So here is the correct wording, in plain English, for your official OSCE warning statement: “Since the European leaders have betrayed you, for the rest of your lives and the lives of your children and grandchildren, Islamic terrorists will continue to prey upon the undefended citizenry of Europe with ever increasing carnage and destruction. Long after your negligent leaders have passed away, now safe from criticism, personal accountability, or any kind of political retribution, your descendants will be fighting for their lives in the streets of your cities and towns.”
