Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Robert Spencer video: Pope Francis, the Pope of Islam

Oct 26, 2017 12:49 pm By Robert Spencer

In this new video, I discuss the praise Pope Francis has received from Muslim leaders for his false claims that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing to do with terrorism, and his ignoring of the plight of persecuted Middle Eastern Christians.

I’m afraid these beliefs go down deeper than the Pope. It seems to pass through the National Conference of Bishops all the way down to a parish priest, like mine. My priest even claimed to have read the Koran, yet he see’s no evil in it. “Christians are just a bad.” Really? From the other comments he has made over the years, he appears to be a “liberal.” Not all priests/bishops are this blind, but large numbers appear to be. It’s very disturbing that they could have so little comprehension of the sayings of Mohammad. They read, but their eyes do not see.

It’s perfectly understandable that Francis and a large portion of the Clergy see a lot to admire in Islam. After all, they all seem to have a certain fondness for young boys.

Pope Francis and a large number (certainly not all) wear ROSE-COLORED GLASSES, having met ‘nice’, polite Muslim clergy at various functions and assuming that Islam is ‘nice’.

No one can understand Islam without the central doctrine of Al Walaa wal Baraa which is the motive of all Islamic thought.

        • John S. Obeda says

          Oct 27, 2017 at 11:58 am

I would think that another central doctrine of both the Roman Catholic Church and Islam is salvation by works. The truth of the Bible is salvation, the forgiveness of sins, i.e. justification, i.e. being declared righteous in the sight of God is by grace, for the sake of Jesus, through faith in Him.

        • Rod Halvorsen says

          Oct 27, 2017 at 6:13 pm

          John S Obeda:

The Catholic Church does not teach “salvation by works”. Never has, never will.

The Church teaches that salvation is by grace through faith and works, just as the Bible teaches.

          Oct 28, 2017 at 12:10 am

John, never mind that–as Rod Halvorsen notes–the Catholic Church certainly does not discount Grace.

Also important is what are considered good works in Christianity and Islam–*surely* you do not consider charity to take care of orphans or run hospitals to be morally equivalent to the slaughter of Infidels?

“Good works” in Christianity and Islam are *very* different.

Anyone who can read the Koran’s 164 jihad verses and not get the connexion is simply not paying attention.

To understand Islam, you need to understand the meaning of the most important verses K.9.29 and K.9.5.

To fully understand Islam, you need to read and study 1,00,000 words of the Islamic trilogy: Koran, Sira and hadiths and know how Muslims have interpreted them in the last 1200 years.

To understand Islam requires many years of reading and pondering the texts.

Islam is HIGHLY CODIFIED, so it is not a matter of ‘OPINION’ or ‘GUESSING’. To read Islam’s ‘CONSENSUS’ scholars gives the correct interpretation. That interpretation is in the manuals of Sharia law.

I understand a bad apple simply by looking at the bruised core. It’s speedy but gets to the “heart” of the matter quickly and then I can go on to things in life that are actually positive and not full of pain, babble, and garble.

If not, does the Pope (His Holiness – no pun intended), expect us to inhibit our Western sensibilities in the matter of protecting any and all children and vulnerable adults? We should ask him.

Christians are just as bad. And I am a fundamentalist Christian.

We’re all fallen, sinful children of Adam the First, and every sin you sea in the world of Islam is latent among all the rest of us (even Buddhists and Quakers). It is forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus Christ that sets Christians apart; not a greater intrinsic holiness.

However, the Christian Bible (taken as a whole) does not promote holy war the way the Qur’an does; and violence by Christians may, in light of Christianity’s foundational texts and hermeneutics, be seen as hypocritical. You cannot say that of either Muslim violence or Marxist violence.

Believing in a talking snake which led to the downfall of humans via a treacherous woman is rather outdated. Certainly believing in a desert dweller who was a pedophile and who commanded the cutting off of limbs and death for minor infractions could not be speaking for an old man in the sky with a whole bunch of virgins waiting for those who follow his commands.

In other words you only strive to be a decent person because of a promised reward after you die or punishment for misbehavior when you face your God. The onlyI believe that virtue is its own reward and the reward for good behavior is the satisfaction within one’s self for having done so. Good works under threat of dire results are not good works at all but something which might be considered good if it were not done under duress.
I cannot put my faith in an imaginary being who’s existence can’t be proven nor who’s treatment of his creation, humans, is anything but benevolent.
And the concept of this divine being impregnating a mortal woman is, frankly, revolting.
In other words I see this God cheerfully allowing misery and hardship among his people and taking no measures to alleviate this condition when, with a snap of his fingers (if he has fingers) he could end it. Why does he allow little children to suffer? Why does he even allow death?
Why do Christians who claim to be monotheists have three deities whom they worship? And why do Catholics believe that one of their saints can go to God and ask for a special favor for the supplicant, instead of going directly to God himself? Why is an intermediary necessary? Why does Mary when she appears, usually to a shepherd child, always wear blue? And one must admit that commanding that the child establish a shrine in her honor is rather egotistical. But I suppose if one has been impregnated by God and borne him a child, one is entitled.
This is all so silly I grow weary of the subject.

Unfortunately you can’t have it both ways. Your church claims this pope is infallible, Christ’s representative on earth, the “Holy Father”, etc. The catholic church and your statements regarding this pope cannot both be true. One of them is false. Are you going to believe the traditions of men, or your lying eyes?

      • gravenimage says

        Oct 28, 2017 at 12:27 am

Jacko, you are mistaken. In Catholicism, the Pope is only infallible on matters of theology–*not* on issues like understanding Islam. This is not contradictory at all.

        • Jacko says

          Oct 29, 2017 at 9:21 pm

You can’t have it both ways regarding papal infallibility either. Popes throughout history have unequivocally claimed that those not submitting to Roman authority were damned to hell. This is certainly a matter of theology (just to pick one example), yet in recent history Rome has changed its tune on this doctrine (coincidentally at the same time that it’s power has significantly diminished). So you have recent popes declaring doctrines previous popes would have considered heretical. You’ve had popes condemning previous popes to the deepest pits of hell; even going so far as to dig up the remains of previous popes to put them on trial for heresy. How does one pope declare a previous pope a heretic, and both be infallible? Perhaps the answer is that they are both heretics and just as fallible as any other sinner.

  5. Flavius Claudius Iulianus says

The “Expect a Punch, It’s Normal” Pope, with his failure to respond to the Dubia for over a year and the Filial Correction, is officially in the state of being a heretic. Whether or not, the upper echelons of the Roman Catholic church declare him as such remains to be seen.

I always wondered, how can anybody believe that men in the Vatican told everybody, that they are and were the replacement Of God? The fake prophet Mohammed proclaimed himself as the replacement of Allah.
I am thinking, who’s replacement do I want to be? Would you guys believe me?
God sends prophets, who have such a higher consciousness then we have, and they are for peace and love and are always trying to educate people, by free choice, never commanded, but by trying to make the right choices for mankind. And there is never somebody to replace God, it just is not possible. We are part of God, all of us, and there is only One, we are all One from that one energy/Creator. Collectively we are One, but different aspects, but One with the creator. That’s why we are called brothers and sisters, because in fact we all are, only we don’t live it at all, because everything you do to others, you do to yourselves.
And don’t humanise God, He does not think like us, HE IS !!! Like He says: I am that I am. “he is the biggest LOVE ENERGY THERE IS AND EVER WILL BE. And one can never be bigger than Love.
No Allah, no Pope, we have been fooled so long, by popes, allah’s, because if we would know the truth their churches would fall apart and they would lose their dictatorships. It’s all man made like peggy says, and you can only know a part of this immens truth by experience, not by books or lectures, only by experience, and the experience is not easy, but we will see………..

The pope is not God’s “replacement” on earth, that’s just nonsense. The primary purpose of the pope is to protect and uphold the deposit of faith as been handed down to him through 2,000 years of Church teachings. He is also the supreme ruler over the Church, and is protected from formally (ex-cathedra) teaching heresy on matters of faith and morals.

What connection did Jesus ever have with Rome? Was he ever there? Of course not. Why is Rome important to Christians? The very word “Pontiff” comes from “Bridge.” The “Keeper of the bridge” is what it means. Presumable the bridge over the Tigris for which the Pontiff was responsible. The Pontiff also collected a toll for crossing the bridge. Sound familiar? . Nonsense.

At one time there were opposing Popes. One in Avignon and one in Rome. Rome won.

I am equally glad that so many Catholics are not falling for this pope’s deception!

He actually is the ultimate wolf in sheep’s clothing, if you study the Bible you will know what I’m saying. He is spearheading the one world religion and all that other global agenda stuff related to it.

Yes, this is proof as someone above said that this church is not run by the Lord. Once a church becomes corrupted the Holy Spirit departs and takes the true church with Him, the cycle has repeated often throughout church history. The Reformation, and many other times. The Protestant church is almost as bad now and the Evangelical church is in a state of apostasy as well. If your eyes are open you will see this. The original church was not ‘Catholic’, and it is not one organization that is ‘ordained.’ The church is made up of true Christians like me. If you study church history you will discover this. If you turn to Jesus and not ‘the church’ for salvation, you will see that and much more. If you read the Bible, you will learn the truth. The Lord said in His Word (the Bible) that He wants us to read the Bible. So who are you going to listen to? I hope it’s the Lord. The Bible says the Holy Spirit will lead you into all Truth.

And which of the 20,000 protestant denominations interprets scripture for you? Or do you just wing it yourself and claim its the Holy Spirit?!

      • Petra says

        Oct 27, 2017 at 4:27 am

I just wing it myself, and in a way, I do feel the Holy Spirit is with me as I struggle to grow more and more into the person God wants me to be. Yet I do remain interested in what people in the churches say, and I attend a church every Sunday, just not the same one all the time. We all will stand alone before God one day, and our faith, whether it’s come to us via a church, or through reading of the Scripture, and time alone with God in prayer, will be a very personal thing between us and God. I think it’s fine to read the Bible, take what light we can from elsewhere, and seek to know God personally. After all, that’s what Jesus did isn’t it?

It was also the Catholic Church, via Boston, which at one time decided which movies and which books were allowed to be shown and read. I believe that it is unnatural for a man to abstain from sex because of religion. It was not Jesus who commanded this, but St. Paul. “It is better to be unmarried.” Why is it better? That was never explained. Was Paul a misogynist? Many believe he was.

Let me guess. You are a fanatic Roman Catholic who cannot stand it that there was a reformation out of which Protestantism emerged. Martin Luther’s basic objection was the paying of large sums to the clergy to insure you would just pass “:Go” and end up straight in heaven with no purgatory.

You feel compelled to insult anyone who does not believe as you do. How very Muslim of you.

      • Jacko says

Not quite right: the RCC is the MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH of Revelation 17. For anyone who has made even a cursory study of God’s Book and Roman history, this is painfully obvious.

BTW I’m neither a protestant or heretic. I’m a Christian. You can continue to trust in your religion to save you. In fact, you can be the most devout catholic in the world; in the end you’ll be a very pious lost person going straight to hell. You can choose to pay for you sins yourself in hell for eternity, or you can choose to accept the free gift of salvation in Jesus Christ. Ye MUST be born again.

Interesting side note: up until recent history, when a catholic declared someone a heretic, they were burned at the stake. That is, tied to a stake and burned alive. Men, women, children: Rome has tortured and murdered millions of Christians throughout the centuries. The current persecution of Christians by Islam is brutal and satanic, but Islam has a long ways to go to catch up with Rome’s death toll.

    1. GREAT idea to do a short video. Emphasis on short;) It is very effective, very popular at this time, and you will reach many more people. And, bonus, more people will get to experience your winsome personality.

    2. Perfect message in this particular video about the [heretic] pope (Bergoglio). What you say against him (and against western Catholics in general) is exactly correct. Keep it up.

    4. [Sorry, always sucked at arithmetic] I saw a pic recently of you with Steve Bannon. Wow. THAT kind of thing needs to happen more often. He is great, of course. But you are Mr. Islam. It would be SO amazing if he would take you on as his Islam advisor when he is President. Then some real sh*t would get done.

    Godspeed.

All religions are just about the same.

The we are better than everyone else because we know the way, the truth.

But, you are not allowed to question or think, just follow your leader.

Your reward in doing so is ever lasting life.

The pope that was in charge during the Hitler era was just like the current one. In some ways worst.

No I am not a catholic, nor am I of any religion. I have studied too many of the 4,000 plus various religions currently in the world and could not find one that had the morals and/or ideals that made me feel comfortable.

No one knows how this world and universe was created, and doubt if we will ever know.

Is it not better to do as you choose, to bring happiness in your life, to enjoy living as long as you harm no one. In simple terms just be kind.

Dear Older, lookit … SHARIA LAW is unique to Islam. Sharia is discriminatory and draconian. Sharia law is CIVIL LAW in Muslim countries. Sharia law applies to NON-MUSLIMS.

Sharia law discriminates against women and ‘others’. Church law applies only to the members of the church… NOT to outsiders as well. Sharia applies to EVERYONE.

The Golden Rule is not found in Islam. That has important repercussions. Wherever Islam is the law of the land, non-Muslims are subject to systemic discrimination. No non-Muslim is ever equal to a Muslim.

Islam is the only religion with a CANONICAL DOCTRINE OF HATRED directed towards disbelievers (Al Walaa wal Baraa) and the CANONICAL DOCTRINE of JIHAD which is WARFARE directed AGAINST NON-MUSLIMS for the sole reason that they disbelieve Mohammed. This is canonical, compulsory warfare incumbent upon all Muslims.

No other faith has the equivalent of those two doctrines.

I kinda have trouble with the misogynistic talking snake who talked Eve into eating a piece of fruit. Also, since Adam and Eve were the only humans on earth and they had some kids, and the kids got married and multiplied. Who did they marry? Their own siblings? Outrageous. But the bible says they married people from “Nod.” If they were the first and only people, where did the people from “Nod” come from?

Talking rocks in Islam. Talking snakes in Christianity. No difference. There is a huge moral difference between Christianity and Islam. But superstitions are just superstitions.

Mortiner: I first want to say that your contribution to JW is wonderful. I have learned so such from you, I actually look for your comments.

But, I have been over the past few years been comparing the koran to the bible. The goal of this was to confirm to myself that the author of the Koran did nothing but copy from it and created a very enhanced version.

        Such as Judges 21: 10-24; Deuteronomy 17.12; Leviticus 20.13; & 20.10; & 21.19; and last but not least 2 Chronicles 15:12-13, to list only a very few.

From my own terrible experiences in my life that almost took my life, religion was the main cause, and now I see the whole world being torn apart, with hate, anger, superiority, ignorance and political correctness, and my heart cries.

The people who commit and promote violence and murder in the expression of religious belief may be a minute fraction of the faithful but they are the ones who determine the course of events, shape history, affect society, and threaten us all.

The idea that Jews and Christians are practicing barbarism in the name of their faith just is not borne out.

          Older Canadian,

You are right about Mortimer, I hardly miss his comments f I visit JW.

I agree that God allowed so much violence in the old testament which is absent in New Testament (not a single murderous commandment). We need to bear in mind that God hates any TRANSGRESSION of his law and the Jews paid heavily even though they were God’s chosen people. The theme of the old testament was: be with God and He will save you, protect you, make you prosperous and so on. If a Jew rebelled against God he had to face the consequences. Again God made a point here: you cannot keep all My 613 laws which only Jesus could.

I would encourage you to search the net, as all the materials freely available to know how Islam and Christianity are opposites. christiancourier.com might be able to answer lot of your questions.
          God bless,

If our political leaders would be faithful in looking out for the welfare of their people, they would see to it that the people of our nation would know what Islam and the Shariah law teaches. Since they are unfaithful in this regard, God help us to do it. And then they try to stop us. How dare they do so!

“We are now facing the final confrontation between the church and the anti-church,between the Gospel and the anti-gospel and between Christ and antichrist”

    Pope John Paul II 1976

What church is Mr Bergoglio representing?
An anti-church based on a gospel of false compassion, twisting the truth, failing to witness for Christ;an antiGospel promoted by francis, anti-church.

That’s the current “pope” with his false gospel…in the service not of Christ but in the service of the enemies of Christ(the forces of antichrist).

    Is the pope catholic?

    Not francis.

Catholic Church no different than many other Groups, likely bought off by the vast amounts of Saudi oil money that funds mosque building world wide. Fits the profile of strictly monetary based decision making today.

Here is a video on YouTube which I found quite interesting concerning the Pope’s body language. It gives the impression that the man who is currently acting in front of the world as Pope is not completely comfortable in his role. Perhaps he shall strut and fret his hour upon the stage and then be heard no more.

He Submits TO GO ALONG (with the criminals’ lies, that they’re really only “fellow victims”) TO GET ALONG (with the scary lying criminals) – it’s common cowardice signaled as holy virtue.

But hasn’t he heard?! Being angry at (“hateful” towards) criminals is now the most vile sin, while pitying (“tolerating”) them all as “fellow victims,” is to be deemed the highest moral virtue, these days!

So much so, that the only advice we hear from “our” governments, their pet media, and the corporazi globalist banksters who own them all, seems to invariably be:

“Anyone who doesn’t automatically pity all criminals as fellow victims should be hated!”

  21. raja says

This “pope” is using the art of deception too often with a false hope that Islam would somehow become humane.

History has proven that Islam can never be tamed as Satan seems to have a direct “hand” in making it a rollar coaster hate and war machine inherently capable of resurrecting itself from time to time.
e.g: Modern day Turkey seemed to do away with Islam in the first half of 20th century which is hardly the case today.

World over there are so many “nice” religious Muslims who recite the Koran for about a score time a day ( or even more) to curse non Muslims as directed (by Koran).

This “pope” has scant regard for truth or even God otherwise he would not be venturing with so many satanic tools so often.

Hey Robert, sometimes we forget that this Pope was the South American Arch-Bishop in charge of Liberation Theology in the 1980’s. So why wouldn’t a Communist Pope lead his people astray and use Islamic leaders as “useful idiots.” It is the nature of the flesh pots of this world to dress up in robes of sanctity to cover their illegitimate presence. The robes however can not cover their stench. This is not the first pope to stylize Jesus of Nazareth as a richly robed sycophant of worldly power. His oratory and congeniality are used to mask the hissing of the Devil. I have more respect for the Medicini Pontifical Cartel – of the 1500’s – than I do for Francis, because what his predecessors did, they did in full view of the public, while this apostate of Christ tries to cover his machinations with the devices from the sacerdotes of Babylon – the servants of Moloch!
