The Hamas terror group has welcomed the decision by UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn to shun a dinner commemorating the centenary of the Balfour Declaration in London next month.
Now why would Corbyn not attend such an important historic event, when he could have easily sent someone else on his behalf if he was unable to go himself? It is because he does not support Israel’s right to exist, and so — like many other Western leaders — he has further emboldened (and delighted) the jihadist enemies of the only human rights-supporting democracy in the Middle East, as well as anti-democratic Islamic supremacists everywhere.
At the party conference last month, attendees at a fringe event heard that Holocaust denial should be covered by free speech guarantees; another speaker called for Jewish and pro-Israel groups to be expelled from the party.
Over the summer, a prominent Labour MP and key ally of Corbyn shared a social media message telling victims of Muslim rape gangs to shut up for “the good of diversity.”
“Hamas Terror Group Applauds as Jeremy Corbyn Says ‘No’ to Balfour Centenary Dinner”, by Simon Kent, Breitbart, October 23, 2017:
The Hamas terror group has welcomed the decision by UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn to shun a dinner commemorating the centenary of the Balfour Declaration in London next month.
Jonathan Goldstein, chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council, announced Mr. Corby’s decision on Saturday, adding it was “deeply unfortunate” the Labour leader was not going to the event.
“I do think it will not have been amiss for Mr Corbyn to understand that the Jewish community will have taken great heart and great comfort for seeing him attend such an event because it recognises the right of Israel to exist,” Mr Goldstein told the Jewish Chronicle.
Hamas quickly backed Mr. Corbyn’s decision, adding that compensation and an apology should be issued by the British government instead:

UK should apologise and compensate Palestinians.

Mr. Corbyn’s absence adds to Labour’s vexed relationship with the UK Jewish community.
At the party conference last month, attendees at a fringe event heard that Holocaust denial should be covered by free speech guarantees, while another speaker called for Jewish and pro-Israel groups to be expelled from the party.
As Breitbart Jerusalem reported, such was the level of anti-Semitic rhetoric on display at the Brighton conference that Labour was branded the “new nasty party” by one critic.
Meanwhile the government has confirmed that it will proudly celebrate the centenary of the document that recognized the creation of the Jewish State of Israel.
British Cabinet Minister Sajid Javid gave that assurance while meeting a visiting World Jewish Congress delegation in Westminster last month. The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government stated:
Someone said we should apologize for the declaration, to say it was an error of judgment. Of course that’s not going to happen. To apologize for the Balfour Declaration would be to apologize for the existence of Israel and to question its right to exist…….

Jews should take this signal very seriously. The Left since the time of the KGB invention of the ‘Palestinian’ people has been allied with Islamic terrorism as a way of destroying Western power in the Middle East.
Since the Six Day War, the Left has thrown Jews under the bus. Since the 1880, many Jews (but far from all) have been tricked to believe that socialism was their friend. The betrayal of Corbyn should be taken seriously. UK seems very confused about who its friends are. They are suicidal.

Corbyn is good pals with terrorists, so this slight to Israel is anything but surprising. It is exactly what I expect from Red Jezza and his fellow reds.

Corbyn’s new Labour is indeed ‘nasty’ and approaching Nazi.

And Mottimer, thoroughly anti-Jewish, though attempts were made to deny it, with the authoress of the biassed report being elevated (?) to the Lords, by way of reward!

My question is; why a Jew be in all leftists parties in first place? Since leftists are all anti_semetic
mortimer says
Exactly. So many secular Jews who support Marxism are kidding themselves. The Left is in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood. How can that not put Jews in greater danger?
I wonder about leftists says
I don’t think UK and other western countries are not confused, they are just cowards and I think that they hope that if they pamper them, the muslims will give up their conquering, beheading, etc. eventually, but I think they don’t know Taqyya yet.

Corbyn is appeasing evil by this, though it does not surprise me that he would. Leftism is well on its way to being as malevolent as Islam. Not there yet but getting there pretty fast.
Anyone who does not see the importance and continued survival of Israel cannot properly value Western Civilization. Islam hates Israel. So does the Left. Both hate the West as well. Yep, it’s all tied together here.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Could we say that the left has always been a malevolent set of beliefs, but, like islam, has toned it down during periods of lowered influence and power? It has very often embraced mass murder and suppression of ‘incorrect’ thought upon achieving control, also like islam.
Wellington says
Yes, I think so. And yes too to your suggestion of toning it down when not as influential. I was more of a mind when I wrote what I did above that what used to be old-fashion liberalism has morphed over the past half century into modern liberalism/leftism. This is a tremendous tragedy and quite perilous for the preservation of freedom. Old-fashion liberalism of the FDR, Truman, Attlee, Wilson variety, though as a conservative I have issues with it based on such things as tax policy, how much government is optimal, et al., cherished freedom and was ready to fight evil. Modern liberalism/leftism is not. Indeed, it often is evil.
As for conservatism, it essentially hasn’t changed over the past half century. It’s pretty much the same and this is a good thing except that fewer conservatives show guts any more. They have many sound ideas (and of course a few bad ones) but they’re not willing to fight for them as was Robert Taft, Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, et al. Donald Trump is a fighter, no doubt about it, but he’s such a maverick that it’s hard to call him a conservative though he’s leaning in that direction most certainly and I like this. Harper up in Canada was a good PM, infinitely better than his successor and one could argue he was in the mold of Reagan and Thatcher.
So, what passes for the Left nowadays (old-fashion liberalism being close to dead) has lost its collective mind and the modern Right has lost a good bit of its collective guts. Not a good combo to put it mildly. Of course, Marxism from its outset was Far Left stuff, pernicious nonsense as Joseph Conrad accurately described it, but increasingly it is difficult anymore to distinguish between the giant mistake which is Marxism and what passes now for mainstream Leftist thought. This is ominous.

Yes, he looks a mess, doesn’t he? And his appearance seems to sum him up. The general consensus amongst UK voters with functioning brains is that he’s either a disgrace, or a joke, or both.

Jeremy Corbyn, perhaps Britain should apologize now and start paying the Jizya.
