The establishment media denial and willful ignorance is drearily predictable, but that doesn’t mean it is in any way excusable. The egregiously anti-American Leftist “counterterror expert” Malcolm Nance has previous called on the Islamic State to bomb Trump properties. Here he asserts, without a scintilla of evidence, that a massacre perpetrated by a Muslim screaming “Allahu akbar,” with Islamic State propaganda in his vehicle, is “anti-Islamic.” He offers no proof, of course, because he cannot do so. On MSNBC, simple repetition of this falsehood is enough, because this falsehood is the party line.
“MSNBC Panelist: ‘Allahu Akbar’ NYC Terror Attack Was ‘Anti-Islamic’ [VIDEO],” by Justin Caruso, Daily Caller, October 31, 2017 (thanks to Inexion):
MSNBC contributor Malcolm Nance stated Tuesday that the suspected Islamist terror attack in New York City was an “anti-Islamic” attack.
Nance stated, “It is evil. What it is is you’re seeing the physical manifestation of a cult ideology. And what you’re seeing is not Islam, whatsoever. None of this is condoned, including the sacrificing and getting yourself killed at the end of a terrorist attack. None of that is Islamic, it’s anti-Islamic. And what you’re seeing is these people have created a belief system in which mass murder, as we saw on 9/11, and as we’ve seen all throughout the Middle East, they kill more Muslims than anybody else.”…

The word “Jihad” has been mentioned many times in Quran. “Jihad” is anti-Islamic ? Either Allah or Malcolm Nance is wrong.
JawsV says
Nance is wrong, you know that.
JawsV says
Absolute moron.
MFritz says
Sounds more like “propaganda expert”.
Kay says
Yep. A convenient lie and it will keep many in ignorance.
Amazing what passes for “news”!
mummymovie says
Well put, Kay.
This lie from clueless phony, Malcolm Nance, who crawled out from under a rock somewhere onto MSNBC talk shows some time ago at the beginning of the lefto-fascist so-called “anti-Trump resistance”, will put people in danger, and will contribute to the pervasive ignorance that continues to prevent people from waking up and becoming involved to counter the jihad threat. Nance’s partisan lies will give comfort to our enemies, and will contribute to the widespread ignorance that allows hundreds of thousands of supporters of jihad and jihadists themselves to invade our country and milk it for the generosity it has to offer; Nance, in his disingenuous virtue signaling, is facilitating the future jihad murder of innocent civilians and causing, in-part, the deaths of people, and clouding the facts for those who would otherwise be alert to the very real and ever-increasing jihad threat that is now at our doorstep and grimaces menacingly at our children and grandchildren.
I for one am beyond tired of hearing this self-righteous liberal a**hole spew his sanctimonious and dangerous BS on television. Too bad there’s really no end in sight to it, as long as MSNBC keeps paying this bum.
Winston says
After committing his massacre the murderer produced his guns, later discovered to be toy guns but it it matters not. His action prior to his arrest signals his wish to die in a hail of police gunfire. He chooses his location (near World Trade Centre) and the day (10/31 Halloween) so his jihad will be remembered. He followed the script to the letter. Unfortunately for him he not die. Unfortunately for many of the victims they did.
Shmoovie says
Agreed– he seemed to be expecting death by police fire. That chance at martyrdom slipped through his dirty hands.
I would pay to see MSNBC’s dimestore ‘counterterror expert’ up against Sebastian Gorka, Robert Spencer or one of a number of JW contributors.

JIHAD is part of the TEACHINGS OF THE KORAN!
PRCS says
Keep that in mind the next time you hear some politician/journalist/moron use the term “jihadism”.
Jaladhi says
Ha, ha, ha, we have these “pseudo-experts” on Islam who go these fake news sites and brain wash the gullible liberals!!
PRCS says
Frankly, given their constant regurgitation of idiocies like “radical Islam” and “radical Islamic terrorism”, Fox anchors and reporters would do just fine at MSNBC.
Benedict says
MSNBC’s “counterterror expert” Malcolm Nance: NYC jihad massacre is “anti-Islamic” –
– in the same way that adding petrol to a fire is anti fuel.
Wellington says
Yes, and all of the other 32,000+ documented Islamic terrorist attacks just since 9/11 have been anti-Islamic. Who but a bigot, one of those terrible Islamophobes, would assert otherwise?
Xero_G says
So – hundreds of verses in the Koran are “anti-Islamic”. Thanks MSNBC for clarifying that.
Shmoovie says
Was half-expecting to hear how his ‘many muslim friends’ have helped inform him.
Kilfincelt says
Well, it least this guy finally admitted that it is a cult. Unfortunately, he’s either too stupid or too much of a leftist to understand that the cult is the so-called religion of Islam.
Voytek Gagalka says
Thus their only defense is to say that “this has nothing to do with Islam,” over and over again. They could do that believing (not without merit) that most listeners will never bother to read Islamic sources for themselves and then if they will do, they will be easily “handled by” shunning (“Islamophobia” argument from intimidation). As long as those two components work, they feel safe.
Pablo says
I can assure you that this guy is not a terror expert.
PRCS says
Likely paid well to play one on TV.

MSNBC’s “counterterror expert” Malcolm Nance: NYC jihad massacre is “anti-Islamic”
…………………
This seems like the kind of “counterterror expert” MSNBC would have…
Actually, here he just appears to be the usual sort of “Kumbaya” sort in denial about Islam. But he is *much* worse than that:

” None of this is condoned, including the sacrificing and getting yourself killed at the end of a terrorist attack.”
It’s explicitly condoned in Surah 9:111. I’ll just quote the relevant part but please check my work if you wish.
“Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed… ”
The first poster, Mike, has this guy nailed. He is the idiot in chief. I never met him but I went through SERE at FASOTRAGRUPAC about the time he claimed to have been an instructor there. Which is how I know this guest article he wrote is complete garbage.
http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/waterboarding-torture-article-1.227670
“I know waterboarding is torture – because I did it myself
…In the media, waterboarding is called “simulated drowning,” but that’s a misnomer. It does not simulate drowning, as the lungs are actually filling with water. There is no way to simulate that. The victim is drowning.
Unless you have been strapped down to the board, have endured the agonizing feeling of the water overpowering your gag reflex, and then feel your throat open and allow pint after pint of water to involuntarily fill your lungs, you will not know the meaning of the word. ”
This idiot knows nothing about the physiology of drowning . Gag reflex? It’s not a gag reflex but a laryngeal spasm. whenever any amount of water goes down the trachea your larynx will spasm. For a certain percentage of people it’s game over right there as they would have a heart attack. About 10% of all drowning victims are recovered with no water in their lungs because of this mechanism.
Then if so much as a spoonful of water gets to your lungs the real damage begins. At SERE they use fresh water;; tapwater. Fresh water immediately is absorbed into the bloodstream diluting the blood. The medical term for this is hemodilution. This diluted blood rapidly damages the heart. Your heart requires oxygen from the lungs. Soon you’ll suffer heart failure called “shivering heart.” It can’t beat, it just shivers, because it’s not getting enough oxygen to survive. In the absolutely moronic scenario Nance describes, “pint after pint,” that would happen before they could unstrap you from the board and get you to the ambulance even if one is already right outside.
Did I mention that any amount of water also immediately damages the lungs. It won’t be obvious but within one to 48 hours the body reacts to the damage and the victim may die of “secondary drowning.” that’s when the lungs fill up with pulmonary fluid. This can and does cause victims to rapidly deteriorate and die unless they are hospitalized until they are out of danger.
Do not listen to anything this guy says. Ever. He is either a complete idiot or a media wh**e.
WESTPAC Spy says
If the USN did waterboarding the way Nance described 100% would be hospitalized, and at least 30% would die before they could get to the hospital. That’s why we never have and never will do it this way.
308dawg says
Nance cannot possibly have read the Quran or any hadiths and come away with these ideas he’s espousing. He is so full of shit….

It never ceases to amaze me how many media “experts” on Islam don’t even grasp the fundamentals of traditional Islamic teaching. For starters I would recommend watching this newly released documentary on the life of Muhammad: “Through the Lens of Muhammad’s Life” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtKJpahyC10
Brendon Carr says
Malcolm Nance may be able to read Arabic. Certainly he was trained in the Arabic language, as Petty Officer First Class Malcolm W. Nance was a student in the Intermediate Arabic Course, or maybe a military language instructor in the Basic Arabic Course, when I was a Seaman Apprentice in the Chinese-Mandarin Basic Course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California in 1989.
He was known to all the students of my cohort at the Naval Security Group Detachment Monterey as the most notorious, full-of-shit windbag senior sailor to avoid, lest he corner you and waste two or three hours of your life with fantastic sea stories. None of us boots knew our asses from a hole in the ground, but we all knew Petty Officer World Class (as we mockingly called him) Malcolm W. Nance was a waste of space. We all noted how the other senior sailors, including other Arabic linguists, rolled their eyes when he was yammering on about himself. Nance stands out as the biggest blowhard I met in my five years of the Navy, that’s for sure.
Now, I was not a member of his language community, so I did not serve in an operational capacity with Nance and therefore do not have direct knowledge of his skills. However, in Navy cryptologic communities on Facebook when his name is mentioned there is never anyone who has a good word to say about him, either personally or in reference to his skills. By contrast, the mention of his name brings forth a profusion of people like me who are deeply unimpressed — or worse! — with Nance. In fairness to Nance, though, I should note that his fitness report for the period Oct. 1, 1995 to July 8, 1996 — available on the web at https://cdn.muckrock.com/foia_files/2017/02/23/resp_257.pdf through a Freedom of Information Act request — does note that Nance was awarded a Commander, Naval Security Group letter of commendation for ranking in the top 10% of Navy Arabic linguists for the third year in a row.
Whether or not that translates to deep knowledge of Arabic is up for interpretation. I was once in the top 10% of Navy Chinese linguists myself, and I don’t claim to be much of an expert on Chinese. The skills we used in that job were pretty narrow.
