This email went out at Stanford this afternoon. I’m not set to speak until Tuesday, and the snowflakes are already running to safe spaces.
This is an American university in 2017: all too many students are so afraid of ideas that challenge the ones they’ve been indoctrinated to accept that they become emotional cripples in the face of them. They can’t refute what I say. They wouldn’t even know how to frame a rational and evidence-based refutation of my work, as their Leftist professors haven’t taught them how to do such things, and for the most part don’t know how themselves. Not only can the students who are in a crisis of rage and fear over my impending arrival not refute what I say, they don’t even know what I say, as the pieces here and here make clear. They just know that the people they trust have told them I am very, very bad, and the lemmings nod and run to their “place to vent,” quivering with fear over what they imagine will be the “emotional impact” of my appearance.
What a travesty. What a joke. And they call it a university.
Brent M. Obleton, like Susie Brubaker-Cole and Jane Shaw, should resign immediately. And these students should come out of their baby space and crack open a book. The Qur’an would be a good one to start with.
Meanwhile, do the students in the Black Community Services Center know that black slavery persists nowhere in the world except in North Africa, where it is justified on Islamic grounds? Are they aware that Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, was a white man who owned black slaves? I would wager that no Stanford professor has told them that.
The Black Community Services Center will create space for those that
need a place to vent, listen, & discuss the upcoming Robert Spencer talk.

Emilie Green says
And they’re likely not to know a thing about the Muslim African slave trade which began in the 7th C. and lasted into the 20th C. In fact slavery still persists in certain parts of the Muslim world. This slave trade was larger, in terms of sheer numbers, and longer than the Atlantic slave trade by several factors. The principal areas affected were northern and eastern Africa.
jihad3tracker says
HELLO AGAIN EMILIE —
Every reader of this post should send Brent M. Obleton a REALITY BASED response. Please take a few minutes to find his email address.
Here are several FACTUAL sources about Islam and its commands for slaughter of non-believers: www [dot] inquiryintoislam [dot] com / www [dot] thereligionofpeace [dot] com /
gravenimage says
Very true, Emilie–in fact, black slavery is rife in places like Mauritania and the Sudan.
And pious Muslims regularly cite the sacralization of slavery in Islam.
Jayell says
And the pious liberal campaigners also studiously ignore the facts that (a) the role of European slave dealers in the transatlatic slave trade was basically just that – dealers. The suppliers were usually locals of various sorts (includung muslims) who might trade the commodity for class beads; (b) muslims from the Barbary Coast also raided Irish and English west country coastal villages for white slaves whom they could no doubt sell at a premium, just as the recent muslim paedophile gangs in the UK would sell their English girls as prostitutes (sex slaves)
The fatous passive aggression of the
Black Community Services at Stanford is also somewhat nauseating because of the wanton ignorant bigotry that it betrays. What is the problem with these delicate, self-righteous little acid snowflakes that their intellectual faculties can’t cope with ideas that don’t quite fit with an orthodoxy that has been transparently rammed down their gullible little throats? And while we’re talking about pseudo-liberal faux-egalitarianism, why is there such a thing as ‘Black Community Services’ in the first place? Are there parallel organisations for other groups (e.g., ‘White Community Services’)? In which case Stanford really would be a paragon of compehensive institutional cultural apartheid rather than allowing that privilege to just one opinionated group.
mgoldberg says
I remember reading articles with comments by the remarkable Brit, David Livingston, the explorer of africa, who came upon the dreadful slavery of africans by muslims, and the effect upon whole tribes and regions. I remember Livingston describing tribes people, so despairing of the hideous enslavement that they would prefer to walk into a alligator infested lake to die, rather than go on. He battled muslim rulers on a couple occasions but now, I think I’ll have to go back and read about it again, as the details are lost to me after these years.
fido says
Excellent synopsis, Jayell! The hypocrisy displayed all over the libprog snowflake universe is beyond stunning. It is truly a doublethink newspeak world that must have Orwell spinning in his grave.

The white people had been enslaved by Arabs hundreds years ago worse than they had enslaved black people.many of white people exchanged for labour job,sex and have of them perished.do you know how the ottoman empires colonized and enslaved whites.sorry it was so appalling condition.
Pablo says
I do hope they also discuss the blacks being held as slaves in Mauritania and the Sudan by Muslims or is it going to be a snowflake cry in. Some how I know it is going to be the latter.
BigQuark says
Special snowflakes getting crayons, woobies, and pacifiers? Colleges are far from institutions of higher learning these days. Liberal programming is the goal here thanks to Soros.
Wellington says
Show me a college student who needs a “safe space” and I will show you someone who hasn’t grown up.
America is presently raising a generation of permanent adolescents. Not good all around, certainly not good for the preservation of freedom, which is fragile, not free and needs adults, not overgrown babies, to sustain it.
Ashley says
How I love your astute comments, Wellington!
To further your point:
*SNACKS SERVED.
Wellington says
You’re too kind, Ashley, but I thank you nonetheless for your gracious compliment.
Oh man, is America in trouble or what, considering what passes for the college educated today? As has been so often the case, polities are much more likely to collapse from within than from without. What constitutes higher education in America as of present only sustains this hypothesis and in no way negates it.
Such is now happening in America surely so. Happening to much of the the West right now as well. And the barbarians disguised as civilized (I am of course referring to, among others, those who adhere to Islam or Leftism——-yes, the worst of barbarians show up in faux civilized garb regularly) are eager in anticipation of the demise of the very civilization, i.e., the West, which gave rise to more accomplishments and freedoms, by far, than any other civilization in history, coupled with a capacity to apologize for its wrongdoings as, once again, no civilization closely mirrors.
When in the hell has the Left or Islam apologized for their many wrongdoings? Never is the answer. As for trying to create a better world, only a fool or worse would ever think that Islam or the Left could do such. Which comment by me functions as a condemnation of Islam and the Left which I will never retract. Never.
In any case, forgive me for going on as I have, but drinking a Yuengling Porter while listening to Beethoven and reading your very kind comment inspired me to write what I did. A la Martin Luther at the Diet of Worms in 1521, I could do no other. Take care, my friend.
Westman says
The left and Islam are willing to work together because they have the same ethos, hatred of country, ingratitude, and an intent to achieve global control. However, they are also like Stalin and Trotsky – only one will survive.
Do you suppose these students, who are raising heck over Spencer’s visit, even know who Leon Troksky was?
jihad3tracker says
WELLINGTON, MORTIMER, AND DOZENS OF OTHER COMMENTERS MAKE ROBERT’S BLOG AMONG THE VERY BEST COUNTER-JIHAD RESOURCES.
Shmoovie says
Agreed, Ashley– always especially enjoy a comment from Wellington.
Was also struck by that notice of “snacks” to be provided. I would suggest Gerber Graduates.
Completes the picture of “safe spaces” as enlarged cribs, minus the bars.

Graham crackers no doubt.

gravenimage says
Important observations, Wellington.
Westman says
Right on, Wellington! I believe it was Ralph Nader who first referred to them as, “sustained adolescents”. And it has only gotten worse since he first coined it.
blitz2b says
True dat Wellington,
American universities are rearing a bunch of sissies, il equipped to face any challenge in and if the real world.
We already know what their prompt responses are at the aftermath of any jihadi terror attack…. Candles, cuddlies, and kumbayahs.
They frown on facts to expose Islam and are first to defend Muslims from backlashes that never happen.
All I can say is that we are priming our future generations to make a smooth and easy transition into the intended plan of Islamization of the entire planet.
mummymovie says
Yet more evidence that civilizational islamic jihadists have successfully (however absurdly) co-opted issues concerning and held dear by African-Americans and the general realm within which these issues exist, as well as African-American groups and “movements” such as Black Lives Matter; just as jihadists have similarity co-opted the feminist movement (Linda Sarsour), and -as we all know- the dreaded cadres of homeless crust punks, drug addicts, and criminals known as ‘Antifa’ so successfully, regardless of islam’s spectral opposite positions on their respective ‘issues’.
This is scary stuff, as the jihadists have proven to be very effective at this.
Gen Jones says
Yes, after an Afghani woman was allegedly killed by someone leaving a cheesy Terrorist Go Home note in her California home, which later proved to be an honor killing by her husband, there was a hideous Hoodie and Hijabi movement promoted by a few Muslim groups. Since it was also around the time of the Tryvan Martin killing the idea was to create solidarity between African Americans and Muslims. It was just Muslims glomming onto the Black American experience for validation. The fact is that African Americans have a unique history. Their cultural contributions to American culture are obvious. Their struggles are not the same as Muslim American struggles especially since Islam has been proven to be a segregated, racist ideology that still supports slavery. The word black and slave are the same in Arabic. The original intent of the BLM movement, for the most part, was about police brutality and accountability. It’s not a perfect movement, they’ve done foolish acts like shut down Pride parades in Canada and the U.K., but they water down their message and movement by siding with “progressive” side issues like the pro Palestinian cause and identity politics. Stick to police brutality and educational and economic achievement for African Americans and let the other groups fight their own battles. The academic obsession with Intersectionality is just keeping Black Americans as victims rather than the powerful people they are.
gravenimage says
All true, Gen. One minor correction–the woman “Honor Killed” in the San Diego area was Iraqi, not Afghani. She had also been married to her homicidal husband as a child, and smuggled into America as his “niece”.
Gen Jones says
Thanks for the correction, Graven, and the interesting additional details about her being described as his niece. If I’m not mistaken he’s in jail now, convicted of the murder of his wife. Weirdly and sadly their daughter was involved in the coverup, she was interviewed on TV and lied about the details. I know if my husband killed me, my daughter would go to the police and seek justice rather than pretend an intruder did it. I’m sure I often drive my husband crazy but he’s put up with me for 35 years, so I’m not terribly concerned. ?
gravenimage says
Yes, Gen–the murderous Kassim Alhimidi is now serving 26 years to life.
I’m surprised he came back to the US after absconding to Iraq after the killing–I suppose he thought that his faking it as an “Islamophobic hate crime” would protect him.
One of the few instances of justice prevailing.
billybob says
Robert – I have a suggestion for your upcoming speech at Stanford. Most likely, they will drown you out and won’t let you speak. No doubt they are plotting exactly how to do that best as I write. I would suggest it is time you employ those dreaded Power Point slides. When they go to drown you out, just point up to the slides and mouth the words, nodding your head as appropriate.
Really, I would like to see this concept taken even further. Employ a mime artist to act out the script. Perhaps a have somebody interpreting the text in modern dance. Have others holding up signs at appropriate moments. Try Black Light theatre and puppet shows. You could put on a spectacular show that would be engaging while at the same time, heckler proof.
The whole thing can be done without uttering a word – at least up to question time..
Lawrence says
Or just have the presentation pre-recorded , and play as needed.
If there is heckler noise and disruption, just turn up the volume accordingly.
Make sure the powerlines to the speakers are guarded as well.
JAR says
It’s hard to keep up with this Stanford story. Going back to NOV 3, I count 14 posts from Robert. He has given it more coverage than an Islamic attack. I’m not complaining…just, wow.
And as we have seen on JW (or any number of web sites), this miserable situation of “We can’t tolerate the truth and a different narrative than our own” has been, and can be, replicated at any number of schools of “higher learning” in North America. May God save us from the wrath of the safe-spacers. May their eyes be opened to common sense and to see what is so patently obvious in the virus of devout Islamic teaching and practice.
billybob says
I think Robert is being astute. This may be his only opportunity to address the students of Stanford University in the end. His event might yet get cancelled, or at least, when he gets up to the podium to speak, they may well drown him out as students have done several times before. Robert is well aware of this so he selflessly shares his knowledge now with Stanford students who are drawn to this site due to the controversy surrounding the event. We are all enriched by this. The Stanford students opposed to Robert speaking will know know the true meaning of the Streisand Effect which is happening now even before the event even begins.
Ashley says
EXCELLENT point, billybob!
Robert Spencer has been erroneously vilified as THE poster boy for all things unseemly. Just how many Stanford students have done their homework? How many have satisfied their intellectual curiosity and dipped their toes here at JW to read Robert’s posts?
My guess? None. Zilch. Nada.
Man, talk about blind hatred!
Oh, the irony!
gravenimage says
JAR, free speech *is important*.
We cannot begin to oppose Jihad terror if we cannot speak out about it.
Robert Spencer’s role is to educate about the threat of Islam. Where will we be if we can no longer do that here in the West?
JAR says
You’ll get no backlash or quibble whatsoever from me, graven. I agree wholeheartedly with everything that you, and billybob above you, have written–full stop. If I voiced a different impression, in what I wrote above, then I wrote poorly. Whether it’s on video or in print from Robert, I’m glad to receive it, as I’ve expressed in previous comments.
In some cases we can be extremely grateful because he may be one of the few (or the only one) who’s reporting on an item of interest. And if on any issue he wants to type until his fingers fall off, any and every reader will only benefit from that. To how many places can we refer, if we want to get the unvarnished truth? JW is required reading.
gravenimage says
Thanks for your reply, JAR–definitely agree. 🙂

What snacks are they serving? Don’t know whether to attend or not.
JawsV says
Heh! It’s all about the snacks!
Snack menu: Gerber Graduates arrowroot cookies and banana-flavored teething wafers.
For Stanford students a bit older Beech-Nut sweet potato/squash/peas.
Entertainment: Sesame Street Letters of the Day.
Stay safe!

Thanks! Also, the veggie combo is pureed for those not yet on solid food.
Teddy Bears and Tickle Me Elmo dolls will be furnished during trigger warnings.

Sincere apologies, JawsV, for re-posting your Graduates suggestion above without reading this far. That will teach me.
Was also going to suggest Zwieback-type toast, if still sold– though it might be a bit rough for such sensitive children.
JawsV says
Ha-Ha! Yes, I see you thought of Gerber Graduates too! Zwieback, excellent for the teething students!

Snacks served, but of course, As a Paris Island graduate when I was their age, a loooong time ago, I find it hard to muster any sympathy for these afflicted persons. I find it impossible to relate to their stance on issues regarding islam, the remedy for their circumstances as I see it doen’t involve a safe space or snacks or sympathy or understanding. They are wrong in the message they convey. They are wrong from ingesting bad information. Re-education camps? You don’t allow them to be comfortable with being that wrong on a subject that is that dangerous. Not if you care anything about them.

“…and crack open a book. The Qur’an would be a good one to start with.”
Aside that I doubt they would understand anything from it (since the Qur’an could be difficult to understand), it would be interesting to see how their jaws would wide-open (occasionally) to find quite numerous references to “hells’ fire,” and other punishments reserved exclusively for non-believers, as many between them doubtless are, and then what kind of “safe-spaces” and “counseling” it would require to cure them from nightmares and overall nervous breakdown! Ha!
Matthieu Baudin says

They have been taught to be afraid of unfamiliar ideas that fly in the face of the current intellectual fashions. No wonder so many are so blinkered and try to silence these unwanted dissenting voices. But they cannot remain quarantined from the real world indefinitely, soon or later the consequences of Jihad appeasement will come knocking at their door and they will have to face up to it.
Karen says
They used to call it a University. Not anymore. Daycare center more likely.

I have said it once, I will say it again. A tertiary education no longer has the value it once did.
In fact, short of completing a STEM degree (and I am extremely ambivalent on the majority of Technology degrees within the STEM category) or a Law degree, there isn’t any real value in University.
Especially in a place like America where by going to University you are saddled with a lifetime of terrible debt.
University used to be a place where the greatest value of your education and educational experience, was being taught how to critically think, independently reason and how to ask the right questions.
You now go to University, irrespective of which degree you pick, to be trained in very specific and very narrow propaganda. And if you’re lucky (and are doing a STEM or Law degree) then you might also come away with some educational knowledge that is genuinely applicable to a specific career path outside in the real world.
I’m in Uni right now. Next term, I’m going to be doing a gender studies course. I don’t want to, to be frank, but I need the credit and it was the least offensive option for me, out of a bunch of really shitty options. I’m furious, just FURIOUS that I am going to have to fork over for that unit. I plan to sit down in my seat, take the requisite notes, do the assignments and pass the damn unit as soon as possible. The idea of being trapped in a room with a bunch of young kids all shrieking their outrage over the white privilege male patriachy hegemony of a society we’re all in, is really, really really testing my tolerance levels.
Hell, I’m going to need a safe space LOL. A nice quiet little spot where I can escape from the constant utter bullshit.
Custos Custodum says
Sad but helpful observations.
Keep your head down until you don’t need “them” anymore, just as Andrei Sakharov did. Also, be on the lookout for chinks in “their” armor, it may turn out to be important.
BTW “Uni” is usually called “college” in the U.S. University usually implies post-graduate studies.
RichardL says
you are a student, I am a professor and can thus round up your observations. Yes, you are right, universities once were places where students and professors tried to find new questions. Now old answers are valued. Rational inquiry. But it is much, much worse than that.
Professors and students have strong feelings about many things. If someone argues against their emotivist stances, one is a bad person (I think racist and fascist are favoured right now). If you are argue against their feelings with arguments that they cannot refute, you attack their feelings in the worst possible way and cause additional fear, they feel. Then you are really the worst type of person possible and they hate you.
That means rational inquiry at universities is a hateful and hated activity.
Seneca teaching a roomful of snarling Neros who insist that they stand for for love is an image I sometimes have.
As to the STEM argument: I disagree. The only possible inocculation against totalitarianism is a training in philosophy proper: moral philosophy and philosophy of science.

While in their safe space they should read Sayyid Qutb. I especially like the following lines, “No political system or material power should put hindrances in the way of preaching Islam. It should leave every individual free to except or reject it, and if someone want to accept it, it should not prevent him or fight against him. If someone does this, then it is the DUTY OF ISLAM to FIGHT him until either he is KILLED or until he declares his submission”. That should leave them all warm and fuzzy, it scares the hell out of me, but I am Islamophobic. Perhaps they are in the wrong institution.
Walter Sieruk says
The two Christian authors, Craig A. Evens and Jeremiah J. Johnson, who together composed the book entitled JESUS AND THE JIHADIS informs the reader about the prophet and founder of Islam, Muhammad, a man who all Muslims admire and look to as an example of how to behave.
For on page 124 it reveals that “Muhammad endorsed enslavement of all types; he personally owned two Black slaves…”
Politicianphobia says
The Islamic slave trade: While most of the slaves who went to the Americas could marry and have families, most of the male slaves destined for the Middle East were castrated and most of the children born to the women were killed at birth. The mortality rate of slaves dying in transit in the Trans Sahara and East African slave trade was a staggering 80 to 90 percent.
Tjhawk says
OK black men, here’s a question for you.
Why, after 1400 years of slavery in the Arabian Peninsula, are there so few black folk living there today?
This is in contrast to say, Georgia or Mississippi, where they only had slavery for a couple hundred years.
Answer: The muslim masters took all of their male slaves and CUT OFF THEIR BALLS!!! The females were raped of course, as were any surviving female offspring of these rapes down through the generations until they were genetically engulfed. Any male rape baby could look forward to HAVING HIS BALLS CUT OFF!!! No discreet population of blacks breeding with blacks would have been allowed to exist.
Now, go to your safe space and think about that for awhile.

“A hypersensitive, irrational person who can’t stand to have their world views challenged, or be offended in any perceived or even slightest of ways; they will have any number of emotional reactions: impuning character and/or motives, blocking on social media, shouting, interrupting, threatening, assaulting, etc. They often live in an echo chamber of their own beliefs and surround themselves exclusively with people and opinions that agree with their own.
