Stanford Dean Caught On Film Engineering Disruption of Robert Spencer Event

Nov 22, 2017 5:45 pm By Robert Spencer

It’s not a university anymore. It’s just an Antifa recruitment center.

Here is the video of the full event, from which the videos below are taken:

My latest in FrontPage:

I spoke at Stanford University last week, and Stanford administrators and Leftist students made sure that as few people as possible heard me. In The Coming of the Third Reich, historian Richard J. Evans explains how, in the early days of National Socialist Germany, Stormtroopers (Brownshirts) “organized campaigns against unwanted professors in the local newspapers [and] staged mass disruptions of their lectures.” And here we are again.

In the days before I arrived on campus, the student-run Stanford Daily and Stanford Review published article after article denouncing me in the most lurid terms. It was claimed that I “give license” to the “oppression” of Jews, and that Muslims at Stanford were endangered by my work. It was charged that I have incited a mass murderer and approved of restricting the right to vote. My work was characterized, without any specific examples, of being not only inaccurate, but also inflammatory, offensive, hateful, and dishonest.

But that was nothing compared to what Stanford administrators had ready for the event itself. Nanci Howe, Associate Dean and Director of Student Activities and Leadership, and Snehal Naik, Assistant Dean and Associate Director of Student Activities and Leadership, made sure that the hall was packed with students who had no intention of attending the lecture, but were there only to sabotage it by denying seats to people who actually wanted to attend. They even kept out some members of the College Republicans, the group that was sponsoring the event.

The fascist students stood up and walked out after just a few minutes of hearing me. Then, after the walkout, Howe and Naik refused to allow in people who actually wanted to attend, refusing repeated requests to do so.

They also refused to allow the Young America’s Foundation to stream the event, clearly because they knew what was in the offing and did not want video going out live that would show just how much Stanford has deteriorated and how opposed it is to free discourse.

I had no contact with Howe. Naik greeted me with great warmth and affability, and actually said, “We’re glad you’re here.” Oleaginous insincerity oozed from his every pore. Belying his unctuous demeanor, he was so unyielding that at the end of the event, when College Republicans (who have been bullied and victimized by Stanford administrators all through this process, and egregiously and repeatedly smeared in the Stanford Daily and other student publications) asked him if some of the members who had not been allowed in could now come in for a group photo, he refused to allow even that.

At that point, I asked him if he had always been a fascist, or had become one recently. He looked embarrassed. He should be embarrassed.

Here is video of Nanci Howe happily circulating among the Stanford students walking out of my event there last Tuesday, patting them on the back and chatting with them.

Below is full video of the walkout. Howe appears at 2:44. She appears again at the end of this video, grimacing as I criticize Tessier-Lavigne and Drell for failing to teach or defend the freedom of speech, and for acting to crush dissenting opinions.

With Howe stage-managing the disruption of the event this obviously, it’s clear now why she refused to allow streaming.

Fascism has no place on university campuses, or shouldn’t, but thanks to Nanci Howe and Snehal Naik and so many others like them all over the nation, it is dominant.

A sane university would fire Howe and Naik immediately. However, it is likely that they are not responsible, but were just executing orders from higher up. It is Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne and Provost Persis Drell who should be fired. But it is much more likely that they will be lauded and hailed by their peers for their denial of free inquiry.

Nanci Howe is at best an ordinary fool, somewhere in the middle a willfully ignorant fool (personally, my choice), at worst someone knowledgeably complicit with those dual fascisms, Islam and Leftism. Whichever, she’s worse than a nothing, only the degree being a variable. And yet she probably gets paid well over $100,000 a year. For what?

HELLO AGAIN WELLINGTON — AND STAN LEE + MCCODE:

Follow this link for a letter to the editor at that university campus daily web news source:
      https://www.stanforddaily.com/2017/11/22/letter-to-the-editor-an-eloquent-statement-by-stanford-students/

When we have 10 spare minutes tonight or tomorrow please send your own opinions on what deans Nanci Howe and Snehal Naik did to sabotage Robert’s appearance.

The Stanford Daily is NEUTRAL regarding criticism or support of admins and students. If you write a concise polite factual contextually-based letter, it will be published.

I use Disqus — which (it claims) does not censor content. Let us be relentless about totalitarianism against free speech — Robert risks his life every day, and the least we should do is devote a narrow slice of time & energy for support.

        Thanks for that link, jihad3tracker.

Well, when you applaud, as one Larry Fewell did, “hate speech disguised as free speech,” you are yourself an enemy of free speech. For this turkey to invoke the Constitution, as he did, to justify his fascist and moronic statement is indicative of just how imperiled free speech has become in America. Besides, one Larry Fewell didn’t provide a SINGLE example of Robert Spencer’s “hate speech.” Not one.

There are many characteristics of the Left, all of them wrong and stupid. One of them is generalizing without examples. Larry Fewell is guilty of this, as he is of bastardizing the true intent of the Constitution, and most especially the First Amendment to the Constitution which became a part of it in 1791. All this will escape Larry Fewell but should he be reading my comment about him here at JW (doubtful), then go ahead, Larry Fewell, tell me where I have erred.

I know this much, to draw a distinction between “free speech”” and “hate speech” and thereafter maintain you are for free speech makes you a fool at best, a liar at worst. Your turn, Larry Fewell. That is if you can. But I suspect you’re just another leftist coward and superficial thinker, but make my day and prove me wrong by responding to what I have asserted of you. Or will you or other fools who support you aver that I have been too aggressive towards you, some micro-aggression, or, Mon Dieu, even something worse than a “mere” micro-aggression? Perhaps you need a safe space now, with play-dough and pizza. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if you do. Meanwhile, you have yet to provide a SINGLE example of Robert Spencer proffering hate speech.

Not one damn example. Your turn, doofus.

But what is the source of this folly? Are these people in religious cult (called neo-Marxism)? They certainly have characteristics of self-righteous smugness…they demonize opponents and use MELODRAMA…these are all cultic traits. All that they lack is a charismatic cult leader.

The cultic atmosphere of hatred against the counterjihad reminds one of the Two Minutes of Hate directed against the mythical Goldstein whom the pawns of Big Brother were conditioned to hate.

Do you not agree that is ironic how the Left demonizes opposition to jihad bigotry (calling that ‘hate’), while fomenting REAL HATRED of those who resist jihad? The REALITY of the Left’s hatred is that speakers like Robert Spencer need armed guards to protect them from the neo-Marxists and jihadists.

Do you not agree that this a war to silence all dissent from Big Brother’s party line? What other point of view would NOT be ‘hate’ in the view of neo-Marxists?

Fascists want something to go wrong with ‘their kind’ of people. They want to believe they are under threat from daesh for instance, they fail to realize that they are not alone on this threat. The knowingly or unknowingly create hatred towards other races or nationalists, in my daesh example this even puts Muslims who are not with daesh in a dificult awkward position. So indirectly they are actually helping daesh.
So I dont recommend anyone to support any kind of fascism or hatred towards a group of people rather I recommend to isolate the threat and either report it to the police or report it to defense intelligence units.

Hokey smiles and silence are all we’ve gotten from Howe during and since; it’s a real mark of vapidity and symptomatic of leftism. It’s hard to forget the image of such an imbecile taking over a function put together by someone of Robert’s knowledge and skill. We had a riot of the stupid, except that it isn’t contained to Robert’s lecture at Stanford but is happening across the entire West. Fortunately, there are growing signs of a return to saner ways. Even her holiness Merkel is running up against the pernicious truth.

It should be firings from the top and second level, those whose names were mentioned in the report by Mr. Spencer. They all exerted pressure via ordering from the top, to assigning tasks to the willing executioners. With the college-university communities going to hell for fascism, if Stanford fires the top four individuals, there are schools with similar agendas as Stanford who will take in what Stanford should jettison….but probably will retain and decorate with commendations.

    • Richard says

      Nov 22, 2017 at 10:09 pm

gravenimage, I must respectfully disagree. These students have been inculcated from infancy by the Left to disrespect and repudiate authority. They are the generation that “knows their rights” and exactly what they can get away with, and have always been encouraged to push social boundaries, often through victim-hood protocols. They think they hold superior values, have a sophisticated understanding of the world and are morally advanced far beyond their teachers.

Any subordination they do show is in the context of calling on those in authority to punish those who have given offense in some way, in a child/parent dynamic. They have no objection to justifying what ever means are needed to achieve their ideological goals, because their victim/oppressor worldview dehumanizes those whom they oppose.

The admins and profs, meanwhile, are terrified of the power these children wield – the power to alter curricula, disrupt the educational environment, destroy reputations and kill careers. So they collaborate, sometimes willingly but often with unease and self-consciousness. They aid, abet and appease in hopes of ingratiating themselves to these “enfants terrible” upon whom their professional lives depend, knowing that with even the slightest mis-step or incorrect utterance they too might face the Inquisition.

      So, who is using whom?

In pursuing their scheme to silence Mr Spencer, Stanford administrators became over-zealous (and illegal) in committing a violation of Constitutional Rights by physically monopolizing the venue, prohibiting guests (and sponsor) from attending and banning the media.
You could hire an attorney and spend a huge amount of money fighting a $5.9 billion enterprise and their wise-guy lawyers (for rights you should of had) or you could file a complaint with both the California and US Depts of Justice for violations of free speech and assembly.
Don’t forget to mention the 100’s of millions of dollars Stanford receives from both the State of California and the Fed Govt.
It’s free and fairly easy to do and just might wipe those little smirks off their Bolshevik faces.

All those accusations and slander against Robert would only make sense if they had him confused with some muslim jihadist speaker, just like they confuse him with Richard Spencer, (the brilliant academics that they are, intelligent intellectuals who can’t even notice when the first name is wrong…)!

Boy, they are fighting truth and freedom of speech fang and claw over there at Stanford!
And that Howe dean is fully responsible, don’t be so quick to let her off easy. If she engaged in the act, she is responsible. It was the same excuse with the nazi’s, the managers at the death camps could simply say, “Well, I’m not responsible, it’s just those higher up, the big bosses…. I’m just following orders…. I’m just getting paid to do my job and make a living…. feed my kids…. etc.” But in the end, they participated in the act in some way, as part of the machinery, and so they are responsible.
In the Christian life, that is why it all comes down to choosing between what is right and denying ourselves, or what is wrong for personal survival. Sometimes we can have both, personal survival and what is right. But sometimes the choice arises like a fork in the road, and there is only one right and obvious choice. “Narrow is the way that leads to eternal life, and few are there that find it.” ~ Jesus

Its bizarre really, Stanford as a University is an institution that most of us across the West, have heard of. Along with names like Oxford, Harvard, Cambridge, Yale etc etc. Revered institutions of higher learning. Places to respect and admire. The graduate’s of such places are people to be respected and admired, not only for gaining entry, but for successfully completing their degrees.

Pffttt. Not anymore. With the attitude that this tub of lard and her cohorts are displaying, frankly, it just makes me think mockingly towards anyone stupid enough to devote years of their life and tens upon tens of thousands of dollars on a degree from this dump.

My University has its own problems – frankly,I don’t think there are many Universities left in the West that do not preach extreme left-wing politics anymore. But my alma mater – and my current school, are heads and tails above Stanford – plus I didn’t have to pay the obscene fees that this dump is charging its students – and at least I don’t have to deal with hypocritical filth like this woman.

  30. Muslim 2017 says

    Nov 25, 2017 at 11:39 am

Robert Spencer, I can understand why the students walked out on you, it is once again due to your dishonesty. At around 46-47:00 in your video you explained to the students about the Meccan and Medinan verses, presenting a framework that prophet Muhammad whilst in a weak position he was simply “preaching his ideas” thereafter when he made the hijra in 622 the verses in Medina were more violent. This is academic dishonesty.

What you are not saying is the 13 years of persecution endured by the Muslims, the graphic details of the persecutions wherein they were not allowed to defend themselves hence even the first martyr of Islam was a woman Sumaiyah. You forgot to mention the economic boycott of Bani Hashim for about 2 years wherein many children died malnourished in the desert. You fail to mention the brutality by the Arab pagans at that time. Hence I understand why people do not want to listen to your slyness and bigotry.

You fail to explain that there is a difference between jihad and terrorism. Jihad has a code of ethics in Islam law, even in military combat. For example in jihad it is forbidden to kill non Muslim women, children, the elderly, monks, rabbis etc as long as they are not involved in the war. Anyone who goes through the verses and explanations that Robert Spencer quotes one would see very clearly the opposite of the message he is alluding to.

Terrorism on the other hand is the killing of civilians through violence to advance a political goal either religious or secular. Terrorism is wrong in Islam.
