For all the sturm and drang that Stanford’s fascist community has raised about my scheduled appearance there Tuesday, it is still a university-sanctioned event. Yet the staff of FroSoCo, or FSC, the Freshman Sophomore College, a dormitory at Stanford, has sent out an email urging students to report other students to the university, apparently for disciplinary action, for the crime of posting posters advertising my event.
Because I am, you see, a “self-proclaimed Islamophobe” — apparently the talking point of choice that the fascists have settled on to try to discredit me before I say a word at Stanford. It also appears here and here and here. The Stanford fascists want to give you the impression that I’m in favor of prejudice or vigilante attacks against innocent Muslims, when in reality I am an “Islamophobe” in the sense of opposing jihad terror, discrimination against women, gays, and non-Muslims, and the denial of the freedom of speech. In that sense, everyone should be an “Islamophobe.”
Anyway, whatever I am, this is outrageous, and another example of the Left’s attempt to criminalize opposing points of view, as the fascists did. Do the Stanford fascists at FroSoCo realize that they are fascists? No, they think they are standing righteously against “hate,” when in fact by demonizing and attempting to marginalize dissenting views, they are trying to kick out one of the primary supports of a free society. Look at the heavy layer of intimidation and menace that they are placing upon conservative students. I applaud those students who support the event and will come to it despite this intimidation.
Hello all,
Recently, we’ve seen various messages of intolerance within the public spaces of the dorm–posters advertising a talk by a self-proclaimed Islamophobe, messages on the whiteboards that attack immigrants. As a staff, we do not support these views and believe they are antithetical to our north star of creating a dorm community where we treat others with love and seek to understand difference. Islamophobia, xenophobia, fear and hatred of “others” are real and damaging forces at work in American society–but they are not something to be proud of, and are not something that belongs in FroSoCo.
Nor do they belong at Stanford. If you witness an act of intolerance, we encourage you to report it to the university. The official reporting protocol can be found at this link.
We encourage people to reach out to staff and to one another if you want to talk through these topics. Within the dorm we want to promote conversations in good faith about things that matter to you, and are not interested in censoring residents’ opinions. But we are a dorm that comes from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and has a broad spectrum of experiences. Remember that no matter what group you’re talking about, they are real people who may live in community with you, and as such we have a responsibility to one another. Love is a verb and we show it through our actions.
These are divisive times and many groups and identities are under attack. Whatever is going on in the outside world we want everyone to know that FroSoCo remains a home for all of its residents, no matter where you come from or what you believe, and that you are safe and welcome and valued here.
With love,
FSC Staff

“Our north star of creating a dorm community?” How hokey is that?
Maybe they should be put afloat with no compass and see if they actually can identify the North star. Five will get you ten they can’t.

It seems STANFORD HAS THOUGHT POLICE that spout a LOCKSTEP PARTY LINE. !
“HALT ! YOU HAVE HAD AN UNAUTHORIZED THOUGHT! WE DO ALL THE THINKING AROUND HERE.”
The Stanford board of governors (or whatever it is called) should IMMEDIATELY TELL STAFF THEY DO NOT TELL STUDENTS WHAT TO THINK ON POLITICS, RELIGION, etc. This is an intolerable and BLATANT breach of the BASIC FIRST AMENDMENT FREEDOM!
Would it not be MORE INTELLECTUAL for the students at STANDFORD to read Robert Spencer’s books and articles BEFORE they take a position on them? Prejudice means to judge something prior to learning the facts.
How can they take a position if they have not gathered the facts and analyzed and tested them?
Making up your own mind from the facts is the true INTELLECTUAL APPROACH.
The staff at Stanford are going beyond their right by trying to RESTRICT and control the freedom of speech on campus.
The governing body at Stanford must GUARANTEE FREE SPEECH on campus and stop the BULLYING.

My thoughts exactly… At this point, I wouldnt be surprised if this talk ended up being one of Stanford’s most well-attended talks.

Divisive? Islam has a doctrine called AL WALAA WAL BARAA that DIVIDES the world and segregates Muslims from dirty KAFIRS.
AL WALAA WAL BARAA is an non-optional, compulsory and ESSENTIAL teaching in Islam. It is Islamic APARTHEID.
‘AL BARAA’ = Islamic Apartheid, Shunning
Al Bughoud = Hatred of Kafirs ‘for the sake of Allah’ or Al Mu’adaat (hatred) is the opposite of Al Muwalaat (love of Muslims), it is:
– To Hate
– To keep distance from
– To be enemy to
– To desert
– To decline to help
– To disrespect
– To put down
– Not to ally with
– Not to support
Allah ordered Muslims to have Baraa (to be cleansed) from the kufaar and from kufr and shirk.
Custos Custodum says
Excellent shorthand! Apartheid is precisely what Islam has imposed throughout its 1400 year history, and will continue to impose unless we stand up to Islam and its hordes of willing dhimmi zombies.
Lydia says
This is typical of the ‘new-think’ of Orwellville.
They will call us terrorists, while they do the terrorizing.
They will call us nazi’s, while they organize and run the holocaust against us.
They will call us dangerous extremists, while they threaten us.
They will call us bullies, while they bully us.
They will call us pharisees, while they crucify us.
They will call us bigots, while they discriminate against us for our beliefs.
They will call us haters, while they hate on us.
They will call us intolerant, while they don’t tolerate us.
They will call us oppressors, while they persecute us.
They will promote the fuzzy ‘love’, which loves all but us.
If you agree with them, then they will accept you.
If you do not agree with them, they will ostracize you for not conforming to them.
Even if you don’t hold it against them for not agreeing with you, they will hold it against you for not agreeing with them, and then they get angry with you for not agreeing with them. So in other words, as long as everyone agrees with them, all is well. But if someone does not agree with them, then the war is on against all dissenters. And this in the name of: tolerance! And… love!
The new nazi’s are rising and the new group-think is here. You can almost hear the shouting chants in unison as they march on, hating and killing us all in the name of love, peace, brotherhood, human rights, inclusion, unity, diversity, and tolerance!
Welcome to Orwell’s nightmare; 2015 and beyond.
(I wrote this before, it has gotten much worse since then!)
“…no matter where you come from or what you believe, and that you are safe and welcome and valued here.” ….. uh, yeah, unless you oppose terrorism and want to sponsor an open minded intellectual lecture, discussion, and dialogue in an academic forum using reason and logic and true facts of history!
But rather, squash all dissent and freedom of speech in an academic intellectual setting with brutish intimidation, slander, and threats instead… that is the Stanford way obviously, or it at least is allowed there! What acumen! What heights of intellect, what blossoming minds and critical thinking in full bloom! Uh, the pride of higher education in the West…!
Lydia says
Next thing… they will have their own ‘anti-islamophobia’ salutes where they raise their hand up hitler style towards mecca or something. Or is it too late? Dare I look at the next post only to see that it is already a reality?!?
By the way, hitler had ties with islam and hinduism, that is where the swastika was imported from.
gravenimage says
Good points, Lydia.
But the Nazi Swastika *does not* come from Hinduism. This symbol is found in many parts of the world, and has widely different meanings. The Nazi Swastika is based on the Teutonic Hammer of Thor.
Richard says
Graven Image: Yes!! It has been pointed out that Britain’s King Arthur was not originally British, but Teutonic.. Arthur is not a Celtic name, so it is speculated that Arthur’s original name was Arnthor – Thor’s Eagle. Thor did not have an eagle, but he did have a hammer which he threw from a falconer’s glove. The symbol of that hammer flying through the air is the hooked cross you refer to. Modern research says Arthur was originally a hated Teutonic enemy of the British people, but the Venerable Bede wrote a parody on him that the hated Norman invaders took seriously and no one bothered correcting them. He appears in Scandinavia as Sigmundr Volsung (Not a name, but a title, designating him a priest of Frey, the horned god), in Ireland as Chu Chulainn, among the Aztecs as Huitzilopochtli, etc. Same with his eventual successor, Siegfried/Sigurdr Volsung, who was Achilles among the Greeks, Karna among the Hindus, etc. We are talking about something that goes back to the very beginning of time.
St. Manuel II Palaiologos says
Yes, the Manji, as it’s more properly called, is actually a symbol for peace in most Eastern religions. The Nazis coopted it to mean something devious and hateful.
gravenimage says
Thanks, Richard. Certainly King Arthur, whether he existed historically or not, is very much an archetypal hero. The myth says that if Britain is ever in serious danger, that he can be awoken. Might be about time…

Lydia: So magnificently put! You are fortunate in that you are not one of those hated white males, with masculine pronouns now even being removed from Scripture readings in the “Modern” Catholic Churches. they call it “inclusive language” – but white men are too evil to be included. Well, society is doing something about that now, too. Little children are encouraged to have their sexes changed to whatever they feel they are a the moment – not realizing it is forever. Hitler’s Night of the Long Knives has returned.
John S. Obeda says
Thank you Lydia for describing so well the modern way of thinking at the universities. How did it happen that such an un-American way of thinking is so prevalent now? I’m so glad that I started high school in 1943. I hope that in due time freedom of conscience and free speech will prevail in the future sometime. God help us to preserve what He has given to us through our forefathers.

Apart from “Socialism”, which would be too blatant.

Muhammad orders the torture of a man in order to get hold of a treasure
We learn of that in the earliest Muslim biography of Muhammad, pages 511-517 (758-766 in the Arabic). https://archive.org/stream/TheLifeOfMohammedGuillaume/The_Life_Of_Mohammed_Guillaume#page/n279/mode/1up
The same pages in that earliest Muslim biography of Muhammad also tell us that after the torture, Muhammad had the man beheaded, and that later that night, or the next, Muhammad took into his private tent for consummation of “marriage” the tortured man’s widow, whose father and other male relatives Muhammad had just killed.
The following video begins with the words “Dear Muslim,” spoken by a former Muslim who goes by the moniker “Brother Ismaa’eel.” As you will see, Brother Ismaa’eel, who is fluent in Arabic and English, displays and very clearly explains in this video the primary Islamic source texts where those actions of Muhammad are described by early Muslims themselves:

There is something sad and self-contradictory about a former Muslim who still looks like a Muslim, still seems to be fascinated by Islam and apparently makes a career out his apostasy explaining and quoting in great detail and with great knowledge from the canon of Islam why he left his religion. It is as if he still pays tribute to Islam in some way not willing to admit to himself that his time as a Muslim basically was a waste of time.

Benedict,
I believe when he made that video he had only recently left Islam. He’s trying to do what many people here are trying to do: help the world resist Islam. And few people are in as good a position as he is to do that job, and he knows it. In a way, he would irresponsible not to do what he is doing. He should be thanked, not criticized. How many ex-Muslims have you heard of who are so fluent not only in English and Arabic, but in the core Islamic texts? Very, very few. Credit where credit is due.

If this is not a subtle, sarcastic statement written by the mockers in charge the situation at Stanford is worse than anticipated.
One can vividly imagine the delight of the bureaucratic correction committee as they occupy themselves with and delve into every little detail of every little intolerance-incident reported in the official reporting protocol, while they see and nurture a need for a future expansion of their domain.
If the specific act of intolerance you are witnessing also hurts you, since you are a fellow human being and not a Japanese humanoid with camera eyes, why don’t you interfere directly with the possible risk involved —? at the same time demonstrating the wisdom and knowledge you have acquired as a student at Stanford —? which of cause might not be very much in spite of a loving FSC Staff with multiple links in its suitcase.
Some day in the near future the snowflakes will unite and turn their frustrations with furry against their professional babysitter Staff instead of turning it against people like Robert Spencer, and when that happens, I hope the Staff has a link to an official reporting protocol of their own.

If protesters registered before being allowed within the campus with name and phone if may give pause before the student risks everything such as penalties or arrest. gravenimage says
John, Stanford is in California, but it not part of either the University of California or the California State systems. It is a private university.
As for these schools, it very much depends on the department. Much of the education you can get at a place like UC Berkeley, UCLA, or San Francisco State is excellent–but, increasingly, some the Humanities and History classes are becoming riddled with “political correctness”, and fields like Sociology and the “Studies” (African American Studies, Women’s Studies, etc) were largely ideological cesspools to begin with.
JOHN says
Sadly, the examples you mentioned in your response only vindicates and proves the point I made in my comment. I remember when Mario Salvio and his Communist-Backed, Nazi thugs invaded U.C. Berkeley campus. While some applauded them, a lot of students, such as myself, saw them as the low-life, radical agitators they were and realized that they had no interest in “Free Speech” for anyone but themselves and they could exploit that distinctly American liberty only to peddle their “Big Lies” and anti-American hatred unopposed. Shortly after this, the University’s facility invited hard-core Radical, Racist and Anarchistic Revolutionaries such as Angela Davis to act as “Teachers” but were really there only to serve as propagandists and indoctrinators. Over the last half-century, the once great institutions of higher learning have degenerated into nothing more than the radical, American equivalent of Hitler’s Reich Fuhrer Schule and everything those institutions produce must come under scrutiny as to it’s validity. When any organization immerses itself in radical ideology to the extent that the California University system, you can hardly declare them “excellent”, as you have. Sadly, the parents who mortgaged themselves to the hilt in order to send their children to these pathetic excuses of “learning centers” have done nothing but condemn them to a meaningless existence as brain-dead fanatics immersed in a violent, self destructive, organized “hate mob”.
