“ISIS Calls for Assassination of Barron Trump,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, November 21, 2017 11:55 am
Pro-ISIS internet channels are calling for the assassination of President Donald Trump’s son, Barron, and have shared personal details of the child’s life on its social media networks, including the address of his school, according to a media monitoring organization.
ISIS supporters, on a well-known Telegram channel, shared the name and address of Barron Trump’s school and are calling for backers of the terrorist organization to assassinate him, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI.
The initial message, sent on Nov. 21 by an ISIS supporter on Telegram, “called for the assassination of Barron Trump, and shared the name of the school that Barron attends along with a Google map pinpointing its location,” according to MEMRI, which shares images of this messages with reporters.
“Using the hashtag ‘handle the son of the mule of America,’ the supporter, who uses the name “Dak Al-Munafiqeen,’ Arabic for ‘striking the hypocrites,’ wrote: ‘Barron Trump goes to this school in Washington,'” according to MEMRI.
“The post was followed by a photo of Barron Trump,” according to MEMRI’s research. “To widely disseminate the call for assassination, several pro-ISIS Telegram channels have shared and forwarded the post.”

The Islamic “god” approves of his warriors killing innocent children – that’s sick.
The Christian “god” in the Bible killed innocent children (first born sons of Egypt) – that’s sick.
Perhaps the real underlying problem is that “god” is not ethical – a real piece of work?
eduardo odraude says
Kris T,
Even supposing that both Christianity and Islam are “unethical” and pure tissues of fantasy, one can still recognize that the Christian paradigm leads to open societies, whereas the Islamic paradigm leads in a totalitarian direction. Christianity is a key source of the human rights we all enjoy today. As Douglas Murray points out, many non-religious scholars now acknowledge that the Enlightenment and secularism have their roots in the Judeo-Christian belief system. For example, the central figure portrayed in the New Testament says to “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, to God the things that are God’s,” and also, “My kingdom is not of this world.” Such statements and others by that central figure brought it about that even from the very beginning of Christianity there was a recognition of two distinct social domains. It took many centuries to develop clarity about where the separation between “temporal” and “spiritual” should be. Consequently, at some points in history, the State tried to dominate the Church, while during other historical phases, the Church tried to dominate the State, but in Christian societies the recognition always remained, at least latently, that there were supposed to be two distinct realms, even if it was not clear where the division was supposed to be. And that heritage of social dualism was a key factor in the eventual creation of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. There are other elements of the biblical paradigm that have been critical to the evolution of democracy — for example, the brilliant historian Stephen Morillo, who is neither Christian nor Jewish, writes that an aspect of the Bible permitted the breakdown of European feudalism and the evolution of a freer social order. Specifically, Morillo points to the fact that both the Hebrew and Christian scriptures are based on the concept of a covenant, or contract, between God and human beings. In part because of that, the relation between lords and serfs, as despotic as it often was, was conceived as a kind of contract, not as a master slave relationship. As a contractual relationship, there was an at least implied equality, and with that the possibility of eventual transformation. Constitutional governance itself derives in part from the contractual paradigm (the old and new covenants) of the Bible.
Even assuming for the sake of argument that Christianity and Islam are unethical fantasies, key contrasts between the two systems produce very different kinds of societies: for example, the Qur’an explicitly denies that Allah is a father or has any sons: Muslims are conceived as nothing more than Allah’s servants or slaves. Whereas the Judeo-Christian paradigm conceives God as “Father” and human beings as his children. The great historian Daniel Boorstin pointed out that it was partly for that reason, that in Islam, for a human being, “to create is a rash and dangerous act.” Creativity is for Allah alone. Whereas the Bible clearly tells human beings, as God’s children, to imitate the creative activity of the Father God at the beginning of the world: “be fruitful and multiply.” Also relevant here is that Boorstin points out that the Qur’an rejects the Biblical account of creation. The Qur’an tells us that Allah needed no rest on the seventh day of creation, because Allah did not have to work to create the world, he only needed to command things to be, and they began to exist. Whereas the Judeo-Christian God is portrayed in the Bible as engaging in creative work for six days and resting on the seventh — a pattern that, again, God’s children were to imitate. Boorstin sums up the situation by saying that with the Qur’anic God, the emphasis is on command, fiat, whereas for the Judeo-Christian God, commands take second place to creative activity. Boorstin explains all this in a very short chapter in his great work about Western civilization, The Creators.
So, even if Islam and Christianity should prove in the end both to be nothing more than unethical fantasies, you are wrong to suggest an equivalence between the two. Apparently, unreligious people are sometimes so uninterested in religion that they treat it the way racists treat people of a different race: “They all look alike.” But they don’t, and it is just ignorance to say that they do.
And there is another problem with equating Christianity and Islam and rejecting both. As Douglas Murray points out, an irreligious or unspiritual stance, by definition can provide no absolute or transcendent justification for human rights and the values that make liberal democracies and Western civilization what they are. If you don’t believe in any ultimates, if you are only a materialist, you have a weak basis to motivate people to defend your civilization from another civilization that rejects human rights and the sacredness of the individual. Whereas someone who believes in Judaism or Christianity believes in an absolute, transcendent source for those values, which in large measure came out of the Judeo-Christian tradition. j
It is a mistake to attack Christian allies in the struggle against Islam. The war cannot be won without all hands cooperating.
faraway says
Great post, eduardo! I’ve considered myself an atheist since my teens but I recognize the degree to which the Judeo-Christian tradition has made me who I am.Muslims have profited from the disunity of their enemies ever since they eliminated the jewish tribes of Medina. We will not deal with the Islam problem as long as we are disunited now.
Chand says
Very interesting and compelling observations, eduardo odruade.
Nonetheless, aren’t human actions to be judged finally on an individual basis and not on any tenets of organized religions or an interpretation of religious texts? So in spite of the apparent superiority of Judeo-Christian doctrines and ideologies there is no guarantee of ethical or moral behavior from Christians or Jews individually. Neither from them as collective nation states.
Vice versa, Muslims can and do behave morally and ethically as individuals although I agree that till now the history of Muslim nations has been generally despotic and tyrannical in nature. So while Christian nations have, over recent historical periods, transcended their tyrannical natures (and former colonies of European powers have fought for and gained independence e.g.), Muslim nations are in the process of evolving into more benign, benevolent forms.
Religious indoctrination, IMHO, is a comparatively weaker force compared to the impact of modern, secular, scientific education and culture, based on humanism, which, I agree, is partly the result of the enlightened Judeo Christian ethos of past Europe. There is also an inherent morality in humans as a biological/animal species as a result of evolutionary processes that predates our culturally imposed ones.
So I do not think it has been conclusively been proven that “If you don’t believe in any ultimates, if you are only a materialist, you have a weak basis to motivate people to defend your civilization from another civilization that rejects human rights and the sacredness of the individual.”
Nor has it been proven “As Douglas Murray points out, an irreligious or unspiritual stance, by definition can provide no absolute or transcendent justification for human rights and the values that make liberal democracies and Western civilization what they are”.
How is there a definite connection between atheism and violation of human rights and values? In fact, basing human values and rights on a dubious, unproven concept like a benevolent God or Spiritual principle is itself problematic and unstable. If no such divine core exists at the heart of things and phenomenon then relying on it would be like the statue of Nebuchadnezzar with the golden head, bronze body, iron legs but all standing on feet of clay.
Kris T says
” I agree that till now the history of Muslim nations has been generally despotic and tyrannical in nature.”…..so true. Yes, that’s because “Allah” (i.e. Mohammad) simply didn’t understand that democracy is far better for the world than dictatorships. Neither did Jesus, as he never advocated democracy but rather approved of the belief that god gives the kings their rightful power, and “render unto Caesar”, etc.
Caesar had no right to imperialistically rule over people in Jesus’ region.
R Russell says
Kris
Context is everything.
Can I suggest you read the account of what led up to the death of the Egyptian firstborn? The whole account begins in Exodus ch7 and goes on to the end of ch 14.
Pharaoh was TOLD what would happen if he refused to allow the children of Israel go. He refused, in spite of knowing the consequences. He saw the consequences every time a plague was sent but refused to let the children of Israel go. So all Pharaoh had to do to prevent the death of the firstborn was to let the people go. The deaths of the firstborn were his choice.
In case you want to bring up the old cherry that there in no evidence of the Children of Israel wandering in the area of land we know as Sinai, I suggest you read Galatians 4 v25. In the first century AD it was known Mt Sinai was in Arabia. How did it get changed to the area between Egypt and Israel? Try St Helena. She was the mother or the Emperor Constantine. 4 century AD. After her conversion she travelled to the Holy Land to find the places important to her. That is where the church of the Holy sepulchre and the church of the nativity came from – as well as Sinai etc. No one in their right mind would disagree with the Emperor’s mother.
For evidence:
http://splitrockresearch.org/content/Welcome/
How then can you lay the blame on the YHWH God of the Bible? We are repeatedly told there are consequences for what we do. There were consequences for Pharaoh too. In fact as you read to ch 14 you see his grief was short lived. He wanted to renege on his promise to let them go and went after them to his own demise.

Listen to yourself, just listen to yourself! You sound as uncaring as the Jihadists do! You are trying to defend killing innocent children! Kris T,
Your knowledge of the bible is questionable. Where is it written that christian god killed innocents? Didn’t the kings have the authority to kill any number of kids? Are you aware that kings of those days offered human sacrifice including sacrifice of kids?
When the bible states the facts why do you choose to tweek it? Now tell me where is the problem?
Kris T says
God killing the firstborn sons of Egypt, is what I was referring to.
An all-knowing “god” would KNOW that ” kings of those days offered human sacrifice including sacrifice of kids” was immoral and wrong – he would not just accept barbaric HUMAN standards of a certain barbaric time, no, he’d LEAD the way morally. People need to understand this – just like ALLAH would have KNOWN that sex with 9 year-old Aisha was Mohammad being a terrible terrible role model for future generations, like for today.

It does take a lot of courage to speak out against evildoers, often..The actor Corey Haim has a wife and a son, and he’s worried that bigwig Hollywood folks may try to kill him or target his family, for giving names and details about powerful pedophiles whom he alleges sexually molested him, and abused and sodomized his late friend Corey Haim (who was an 11-year-old actor when it first started happening, according to Feldman).
alex says
Oops, I meant the actor Corey *Feldman* has a wife and a son; Feldman’s friend Corey Haim died in 2010 and was unmarried and had no known children. Feldman believes that his friend’s death was in part due to the sexual abuse; Haim had major problems with drugs and alcohol that may have been linked to that. weakening his body when pneumonia hit.

In Britain the Muslim community realised that they could threaten and terrorise with impunity during the rime of John Major as Prime Minister.
They announced a fatwa over the “Satanic Verses” book by Salman Rushdie and he was given a de ath sentence. They staged public book burnings and riots in the streets.
A half way decent Prime Minister would have sent the forces of law in after them, arrested the book burners and rioters and sent them to prison for long stretches, plus arrested those threatening death and thrown the book at them. The rest would have known the game was up and caved in.
What did our cowardly appeasing PM do? He spent millions of the tax payers money on security guards for Rushdie and allowed the Muslims to riot and threaten completely unchallenged.
That is where the seeds of our present decline were sown.

What would be even better would be if the messiah in Islam (“Isa”….i.e. JESUS, yes, Jesus is the messiah in Islam – look it up) got off hit fat arse and simply today TOLD the Muslims that they got it all wrong, that he’s NOT “coming back as a Muslim” like Mohammad taught. Told them that Christianity, or whatever, is the one true faith, and that Mohammad’s call to Jihad against non-believers was a bad teaching. The “all-powerful” Jesus allegedly has this ability. If he cared for the world as much as I do then he’d do that, but he obviously doesn’t, so he’s not very caring.
Jesus would be way way way more persuasive towards Muslims to leave Islam as the great Mr. Spencer ever could be, because Jesus (aka “Isa” in Islam) is the Islamic messiah.
