“We are deeply concerned about the possibility that the initial investigation was not done properly.”
That seems likely. Everyone wanted Mohamed Noor on the police force. He was a symbol, and so he was elevated beyond his competence. He is now a symbol of the fact that Minneapolis put political correctness and the rejection of “Islamophobia” over the safety of the people the police were supposed to be protecting. And now the investigation of Noor is not being pursued properly because investigators are no doubt paralyzed by the fear of doing something “Islamophobic” and enraging Minneapolis-area Muslims.
“Australian man slams Minnesota investigation of his daughter’s killing by police,” by Karma Allen, ABC News, December 21, 2017:
The father of an Australian woman who was fatally shot by a Minnesota police officer this year said he was “deeply concerned” about the state’s investigation into her death.
“We are apprehensive that perhaps the BCA [Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension] has not fulfilled its promise,” John Ruszczyk, the father of Justine Damond, said at a news conference in Sydney this morning.
“We are deeply concerned about the possibility that the initial investigation was not done properly,” he added.
Damond, 40, was fatally shot by Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor on July 15 after she called 911 to report a possible assault near her home.
Authorities said Noor and fellow officer Matthew Harrity responded to Damond’s 911 call but never found a suspect. They were startled by a loud noise before Damond approached the driver’s side of their vehicle and Noor, who was on the passenger side, fired his gun through the open driver’s side window, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
Damond, a meditation and yoga instructor, lived in Minneapolis’ Fulton neighborhood with her fiance, Don Damond. The two had planned to marry in August.
Ruszczyk’s comments came just days after Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman was recorded on video last week telling activists that he didn’t have enough evidence to charge Noor because investigators “haven’t done their job.”
Freeman later issued an apology to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, a division of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, saying, “I was wrong to discuss both the agency’s work and what discussions we are having internally.”
Ruszczyk said today, “At the least, Mr. Freeman’s comments cast doubt on the description of how Justine’s death occurred as it was initially put out by the BCA and the attorney for the officer driving the squad car.”
“We continue to implore Mr. Freeman and the prosecutor’s office to continue to pursue a rigorous investigation and examination of evidence in the events leading to Justine’s death,” he added. “We expect them to fill in any gaps in the BCA’s work honestly and fairly but completely.”…
Noor, who has not been charged, has refused to speak to investigators….

Minneapolis police seem have to put this case into the “too hard’ basket. Further daelays add to the suspicion that they wish to whitewash Islam.
mortimer says
Suspicion? The hiring and the investigation of Mohamed Noor is 100% about whitewashing Islam.

They put political correctness and ‘optics’ ahead of public safety and now this lovely, precious woman is dead. To add insult to injury, the police force and politicians are trying to cover it up.

Why didn’t they bring the case before a grand jury or let a special prosecutor handle thee case. That is what is usually done in cases like that. Can that guy return to the force and serve? Can he be trusted? He has several civil cases pending against him.

I recall that immediately after Ms.Damond’s murder, her fiancee said something to the effect that if this case furthered Islamic immigration,, she would have been happy to give her life.”
Those are not his exact words, but the meaning is the same. Apparently her father doesn’t feel the same. In the case of clock boy’s detaining, the DOJ was there immediate to investigate not the Muslim boy, but the teacher who reported his bomb-like device and the police department.
IMO this was a clear case of murder by a Muslim for not reason whatsoever. Perhaps Minneapolis don’t like their citizens to make a loud noise. There has been no evidence that there was even a noise and certainly none that Ms. Damon made it. She was shot through an open window on the driver’s side by the cop in the passenger seat. What kind of noise could she have made which would warrant her death if she were standing by an open window. It is also suspicious to me that she was shot in the abdomen. It would have been odd if she were crouched over to speak through the officers through the window for her abdomen to have been exposed through a window. Either she was shot through the door of the police car, which was the first report, or she was shot standing upright.
Whatever the case, this woman was shot by a Muslim while she was seeking help, likely because the cop didn’t like blondes in their pajamas running around in front of him.

he should at least be brought before a grand jury for manslaughter. If he had been a white cop shooting a black guy that’s what would have happened

This is what you get when you hire people based on feelings and not qualifications. I guess they won’t be satisfied until a fire truck driven by a Muslim woman who weighs 90 pounds shows up needing to rescue four people inside.

I hope someone contacts this father and tells him we are just as angry as he is. Well, admittedly that’s not possible. He lost his daughter. But the way things work in politically correct stupid America we’re going to get more incompetent Muslim cops because the administrators are going to have to double down and try to prove they were right all along.

Deeply disturbing. This poor woman has been sacrificed on the altar of “political correctness”. Good for her father for speaking out.
There is, of course, also the question of who this Muslim police officer might kill in the future.

I have a name for it. But I doubt it can be printed.
Actually it takes several words. Which can’t be printed, Not on a family web site,

Suffice it to say that this kind of bullshit is called “Political Correctness.” Let the poor Muslims run rampant in our country. They suffered enough in their own so they are entitled.
