The new masters must not be offended.
“German school postpones traditional Christmas celebration after complaint by Muslim student,” Voice of Europe, December 20, 2017:
A school in the German town of Lüneburg, has rescheduled a Christmas celebration after a Muslim student said its songs are incompatible with Islam.
Yesterday German radio and TV broadcaster NDR, reported on its website that after the complaint the school postponed the Christmas celebration and made it a voluntary activity. Students are now free to choose if they want to take part in it or not.
The school principal confirmed the changes in the programme but denied it happened because of a complaint of a Muslim student. He said: “There is no fundamental decision to abolish the highly-anticipated event in Luneburg.”
According to the principal the rescheduling has something to do with the “availability of school staff” and said that the complaint was made because one of the teachers wanted to sing Christmas carols during one of the obligatory classes.
But NDR defends its article today. The director of the NDR studio in Lüneburg says about it:
“The criticism of the student has triggered the debate about the Christmas party… For this reason, the celebration was postponed.”…

So now an entire school has to accommodate the delicate sensibilities of one whining Muslim kiddie?
Welcome to Xmas in Merkelstan. Enjoy it while it lasts.

What happened to the German peoples of WW2, without Hitler of course? Wait a minute. Wasn’t some Muslims part of his regime? Seems like i remember there were some. I guess what goes around comes around…….again.
Terry Vernon says
The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al Husseini, came from Palestine to help Hitler by recruiting Muslims to his SS. The 13th “Handschar” Division of the SS was composed of Muslims from Bosnia. The Mufti, (a relative of Yasir Arafat) remained in Ger,many as Hitler’s guest throughout the war. The MUfti had experience – he had engineered the Hebron massacre of Jews in 1929

Islumis incompatible with decent civilisation! Western politicos’re fast becoming voluntary dhimmis!

Let’s suppose an Atheist child complains about Christmas and Eid celebrations. Will the German schools then stop making accomodations for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha?
James says
The Christians would be only too eager to indulge in yet more suicidal altruism. The Muslims, not having a history of gutting their own religion so as accommodate others, would tell him to go to Hell.
James says
Anyone who is not a complete ignoramus about Islam could have seen this coming. Muslim pupils should not be allowed in non-Muslim schools. The pupil’s plea should have heard – and denied.

Make muslim students sing carols.

I thought they were all tone-deaf with perforated ear-drums after all those explosions. Come to think of it I can’t think of any muslim singers apart from someone from the 1970’s or 1980’s called Cat Stevens who converted about 30 years ago and changed his name to some kind of gobbledegook then disappeared off the scene. He recently tried to make a comeback – didn’t exactly go down a bomb. Then there was the disgusting ‘Baroness’ Warsi who was the UK Government’s token muzzle, totally unelected and throwing her ugly weight around in the Westminster Cabinet until she flounced off when the PM refused to annihilate Israel; she actually suggested that Muslims have their own C-of-E-type hymns, which they’d no doubt broadcast with the 5000-watt speakers on the top their minarets after the imam had regaled the neighbourhood with his customary Ode to Dyspepsia (aka a so-called ‘call to prayer’ – didn’t they ever learn to make bells?).
Philip Copson says
“….I can’t think of any muslim singers apart from someone from the 1970’s or 1980’s called Cat Stevens who converted about 30 years ago….”
He wouldn’t have got far in the muslim world as “Dog” Stevens, now would he….? (Though maybe performers and songs such as Hal Al Green / “You Can Call Me Hal-Al” etc would be ok….)
Jayell says
He changed his name to ‘Yousuf al Tinnitus’ or something!

He never would have had a career as a folk rock singer if he had been Muslim at the time.

Sadly, one of the girls in the video suggested singing Muslim together with Christians songs. As far as I know, there are no Muslim religious or festive songs. Music is consider haram by many scholars as it provokes physical desires and whims. Robert can perhaps comment on this. We don’t want to offend our Muslim friends.
Allaah knows best.

Here’s the solution:
We must deport all muslims from Europe… because their false religion of islam and their evil values are not compatible with Christianity (the truth), and a civilized society! On top of that, we are highly offended by the muslim infidels. And their calls to prayer are like demonic sirens… all of it, yes all of it must go!
Bob says
AMEN, Lydia, but try convincing our western politicos of that necessity! Dhimmis all! I’m in my late 80s, and I’m, in a way, happy that I’ll not be around when the whole of Europe, thanks to those aforementioned dhimmi politios, finally succumbs to an islumic dark age!

Two similar stories about Muslims invading Catholic schools, but with different outcomes. The one from the UK concerns a Catholic school in an area that has become infested. When their numbers had grown sufficiently, the Muslim parents got together and raised an objection to crucifixes in the classrooms. The crucifixes strangely disappeared from the classrooms. The second story involves a Catholic school in the Carribean and an almost identical situation. In this case, the Headmaster effectively told the muslim parents to take a running jump – but not quite in those words! I believe that the German town featured in this story has a connection with the great J.S. Bach. Even with that pedigree behind them, this school apparently would have needed a headmaster from the Carribean to sort this problem properly.
LR says
“The criticism of the student has triggered the debate about the Christmas party… For this reason, the celebration was postponed.”…
But why? Why would one little criticism bother the whole school? Why don’t they just ignore it, and have their normal celebration? Are they afraid one little complaint not appeased would turn into one big slaughter?

“Rector comments on canceled Christmas party
Despite several requests from the NDR, the headmaster of the Johanneum Gymnasium in Lüneburg did not want to comment on the cancellation of the Christmas party. Now he confirms in a written statement that the incident with a Muslim student last year led him to point teachers to a sensitive approach to Christian Christmas carols. As the NDR already reported, this had left the music lessons when Christian Christmas carols were sung there. The religious conference of students, parents representatives and teachers had then decided to cancel the Christmas party during class time this year.
Christmas party is scheduled to take place next year
As a replacement for the Christmas party, students have now organized a Christmas bazaar.
Furthermore, the headmaster of the Johanneum explains that there were also personal reasons why the Christmas party was canceled. The celebration should also take place in the coming year – during class time as before. So that this year at least a bit of contemplative mood at the gymnasium, the student spokeswoman and other senior students had organized a Christmas bazaar. This takes place in the afternoon, is expressly addressed to all students, but participation is voluntary. This is also in the sense of the state school authority. A spokeswoman said that Christmas is a significant part of our culture and that partying together is part of the integration process.
Are Christmas carols part of the school?
The debate over the singing of Christian Christmas carols in schools moves the minds. The background of a case from Lüneburg and an interview with Lower Saxony’s Minister of Culture Tonne.
Students hope for a nice celebration in the afternoon
The National Association of Muslims in Lower Saxony had already criticized after the rejection that this decision had fallen precipitously. The misunderstood consideration for Muslims could fuel prejudice. The reactions on the Internet then partly fell accordingly. A student spokeswoman told the NDR that she was surprised and shocked by some comments that would amount to a real hate speech. The school spokesmen had publicly shown understanding for the decision of their rector. At the same time, according to their own words, they felt supported by the school management when it came to offering an alternative offer in the afternoon. Now they are hoping for a nice joint festival, because the mood between Muslims and other students is perfectly fine, according to one of the student spokeswomen.”
And now imagine – just for a moment – the very same complaint happening during Ramadan in an Egyptian school by a CHRISTIAN student. Too bad those tolerant German teachers, parents AND students will never find out what would happen THEN…
LeftisruiningCanada says
If people believe that something is worth doing, they will do it. Simple as that.
It’s obvious that ideals such as ‘multiculturalism’ etc are considered more important than Christian values right now, hence the conflict seen in articles such as this one.
If Christ, in this case, was more important to people than multiculturalism, this internal conflict would not happen.
tgusa says
In somewhat related news, yesterday, the staff at a German school committed ritual suicide as they felt their existence was offending muslims.

my parents went to school in an ex British Colony. It was an English language school established by American protestant missionaries. It was a fee paying school and a large proportion of the parents who sent their children there, boys and girls, were Moslem. All students without exception had to take ‘Bible’ lessons and had to pass exams in the subject. No one complained. No girl was ever wearing any type of head cover.
the rule was, ‘you enrolled in our school, then you follow the entire curriculum’. This is how we should be treating ALL immigrants and converts in our Judaeo-Christian societies. No compromises on our values and traditions. If you don’t like it, go to a country which welcomes your (corrupt) values…
Why we even entertain discussion is beyond me. Its as though I create a club for horse owners, and someone who only has a donkey insists on being a member despite them clearly knowing the rules…and we compromise and let them in as we want to be inclusive and not discriminate…soon, its all donkeys and no horses…
Politicians, educators etc…wake up!! Its nearly far too late in places like the UK, France and Germany.
