My niece took a community college course in comparative religion. The textbook used was “Experiencing the World’s Religions”. When she completed the course, she gave the textbook to me. I read the chapter on Islam and found it full of half truths and even lies by omission. For instance, the explanation of jihad is true to a point but it basically white washes the term. 97% of the use of the term jihad in the Koran, Hadiths, and the life of Muhammad is meant in the militant sense. One would never know this from the explanation provided. Also, my niece, who took the course over the internet, said that whenever someone tried to start a discussion on any particular point of what they had read, one student would immediately become very difficult and shut the discussion down.
The chapter included a brief history of the spread of Islam but never explained the horrific means by which that expansion happened. The chapter on Christianity made the rather idiotic claim that the crusades where an early attempt at colonialism. The truth is that they were a late, limited reaction to Islam’s colonialism and imperialism that had seen much of the Christian world in the Middle East and North Africa overrun by Muslims.
Another article that I had seen recently included a list of people who the writer thought were probably more imaginary than real. Christ was on that list. I wrote back and explained that Christ was very real and many scholars agreed. I also explained why. One of the things that I said was that the epistles of Paul were written within 20 years of Christ’s death. At that time some of those who had actual contact with Jesus were still alive. I then asked why Muhammad wasn’t on this list as his biography wasn’t written until 125 years after his death. Further, no contemporary records of his existence could be found which would seem to imply that the grounds on which Islam was founded was very shaky.

Yes, I browsed a book on islam at my son’s school recently, only to find the usual tosh about Sufi spiritualism etc.
Looking for references to mohamed, I found his entire ‘life’ contained in one single paragraph, of course nothing about his evil deeds, but even so, how can they write an entire book and not describe the founder of their ‘religion’.
Clearly this is only for us in the West, because our sensibilities would be catastrophically offended by the truth.

Absolutely incredible interview! His psychology is spot on. His background is as fascinating as the subject matter. The interview was horrifying, but not at all surprising. The Saudis started decades ago with American television programs on Islam. The indoctrination was and is a wise move on their part. Now they are going after little children, who will believe anything. I entered UCLA in the 1960s, very liberal. The professors taught the same sort of ultraliberal lies and weirdness. Thank God I was so repelled by it that I graduated an ultra-conservative. I don’t think I need to remind anyone that Adolph Hitler was a liberal. Nazism was quite literally Socialism. As for the Arabs and black slaves, most people do not recall that three times as many whites were taken out of Europe into slavery in Africa by Muslims than blacks were taken out of Africa to slavery in Europe and America by white Christians. Ironically, the first slave in America was a white boy named John Savage, whom John Smith sold as a slave to the Wampanoag Indians.

This was a great interview, and one part struck me – when he described the common reaction of abused women, who often blame themselves for the violence, believing it is their behaviour that caused the assault.
The rationale seems to be that they can reclaim some control of the situation, that if they just change their behaviour, then the abuse will stop.
We all know this is false, but it is a strangely comforting delusion which also gives some insight into our government’s conduct, because blaming islamophobia and military interventions gives them the illusion of being able to control our abusers. It also explains why they go after ordinary people for ‘hate’ speech, because they are a much easier option than trying to extricate ourselves from the ME, which they know deep inside, wouldn’t do any good anyway. So they continue to pursue the soft targets of law abiding citizens rather than the nasty and frightening islamists.
Another effect of this self-blame, is that it exonerates the abusers thus allowing victims to continue in destructive relationships, often with disastrous results. This is nowhere better seen than in Sweden, where the eponymous Stockholm syndrome is now government policy.

Islam isnt a religion, it is in fact an Extremely oppressive Totalitarian form of government, using Sharia law to intimidate, convert, and or enforce its directives and demands, this is the same as Iran and Other Arab states use to keep its people under control , the religious status must be revoked, and these people removed from American Shores, Islam is not compatible with a free nation, and a nation of many liberties, moslem’s will not assimilate, they will seek to out number all those who refuse to join islam, and will change the USA to one more islamic failed state

There is a fair and non-confrontational documentary about Muhammad and Islam on YouTube that would be appropriate for classroom use. But public schools would probably never show it because it presents the unvarnished truth–both good and bad. It’s called, “Through the Lens of Muhammad’s Life: How the Life and Teachings of Muhammad Shape Islam Today” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtKJpahyC10

I AM AMAZED THAT IN THE US THEY HAVE NOT BOTHERED TO INSIST THAT THE LIFE OF MOHAMMED BE INCLUDED WITH NO DETAILS OMITTED!
GETTING THE YOUNG INDOCTRINATED.IS A BIG PART OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD AGENDA.
THEIR PLANS ARE GENERATIONAL & NOT BY THE LIFE OF A DEMOCRATIC TERM & THIS VERY WELL UNDERSTOOD BY THE BROTHERHOOD & MISSED OR DENIED BY WESTERN GOVERNMENTS?
THEY BEING THE WEST IS BEING CONTINUALLY ATTACKED BUT SIMPLY WILL NOT ADMIT IT OR FACE THE TRUTH!
THE STRATEGY IS ONE OF – HOPE- THAT IT WILL ALL BE OK!
NOT A GOOD STRATEGY WHEN DEALING WITH A PERSISTENT & AGGRESSIVE IDEOLOGY!
