Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

H.R. McMaster: Jihad terrorists are “irreligious”

Dec 22, 2017 9:46 am By Robert Spencer

Denial or willful ignorance? Why hasn’t this deluded clown been fired yet? Why was he hired in the first place?

“H.R. McMaster Does It Again: Calls Islamic Terrorism ‘Irreligious,’” by Aaron Klein, Breitbart, December 20, 2017:

NEW YORK — H.R. McMaster, President Trump’s embattled national security adviser, has once again minimized the religious motivations of terrorist groups, this time referring to the ideology of Mideast jihadists as “irreligious.”

In a BBC radio interview posted online on Wednesday, McMaster was asked about the U.S. fight to rid the region of the Islamic State.

After calling out Iran for “interacting” with Salafi jihadist groups, McMaster continued (emphasis added):

And so what has to happen is a removal of these drivers of conflict. And that means defeating these jihadist terrorist organizations so that they can’t come back. That means denying them control of territory, populations, resources. Drying up their financing. But then also defeating their wicked ideology to expose their ideology as irreligious and illegitimate. And then it also involves addressing Iran’s destabilizing behavior in the region.

The comments mark the latest time McMaster has downplayed or altogether denied the radical Islamic nature of Islamic terrorism.

In November, after Sayfullo Saipov plowed into a crowd of pedestrians and bicyclists in Lower Manhattan, killing eight people, McMaster referred to the attack as among a grouping of “mass murderers.”

This despite reports  Saipov left behind a note declaring that the attack was perpetuated in the name of the Islamic State.  And witnesses heard Saipov shout “Allahu Akbar!,” Arabic for “Allah is great,” during the terrorist assault.  IS claimed responsibility for the attack.

One month earlier, McMaster labeled the September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorist attacks “mass murder attacks,” instead of calling them acts of terrorism.

This reporter previously exposed numerous other instances of McMaster minimizing the Islamic motivations of radical Muslim terrorists.

McMaster has reportedly previously petitioned against using the phrase “Islamic terrorism.”

In February, CNN cited a source inside a National Security Council meeting quoting McMaster as saying that use of the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism” is unhelpful in working with allies to fight terrorism.

In May, McMaster spoke on ABC’s This Week about whether Trump would use the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism” in a speech that the president was about to give in Saudi Arabia. “The president will call it whatever he wants to call it,” McMaster said. “But I think it’s important that, whatever we call it, we recognize that [extremists] are not religious people. And, in fact, these enemies of all civilizations, what they want to do is to cloak their criminal behavior under this false idea of some kind of religious war.”…

Michael Flynn was the perfect candidate for NSC Director. THAT was why the “Deep State” wanted him removed even before Donald Trump was sworn in as president. Because of the unlawful FISA warrant, they wound up entrapping him, and he was gone.

Personally, after more facts come to light about the scum involved in the “Russian collusion” BS have been revealed, it would be nice if President Trump re-instated him as NSC Director once again. THIS is a man who understands all about the threat from izlam (sic – on purpose), both the violent and “stealth” jihad being waged against us.

      Willful DECEPTION.
They are being religious when they wage jihad, according to their religion, which is what it SAYS TO DO, just like satanists are being religious according to their religion when they sacrifice children on their satanic ritual altars. Same ‘difference.’

President Trump still calls out the Islamic jihadists and knows where the problem lies ,….don’t blame him . He does need to fire McMaster and replace him with Frank Gaffney .

        > > > IF the US goal is indeed to “play the long game and to get Muslims to reject the violent passages and doctrines of the Qur’an….” then, why wouldn’t the US be placing Islamic reformers on the White House lawn and State Dept. stage?

Denial. Mohammad said he had been made victorious through terror, so the concept of Jihad terror is firmly embedded in Islam by ‘the most excellent example for all mankind’. One might have some wiggle room to call a lone-wolfer ‘irreligious’; after all, we are on to the next Islamic terror attack story usually within a few hours or days, and the CAIR-cooperative media is always willing to feign ignorance of any true motives. Police management seems to be using a technique wherein they immediately claim there is no evidence of terrorism (well, how could there be, the attacked occurred 5 minutes ago.) This way, they can lie truthfully. And, if their hand gets forced in the future, they have plausible deniability.

But….how would McMasters explain the rash of holy holy holy Imams, who scream in their mosques (California, NJ, Canada, etc) about killing the Jews and destroying Western societies? Are they “irreligious”? Is McMasters planning on “exposing the ideology” of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Mohamed Akram, and their Grand Jihad to inflict Sharia and an Islamic state on America and “bring down our miserable house from within”?

    • M says

      Dec 22, 2017 at 12:51 pm

Good questions. It is way past time to find put why calls to murder people are being chanted daily in mosques. Murder. Why? Because Muslim ideology is inherently SUPREMACIST. The Nazis wanted to take over and be the master race and now Islam has the same idea. A “church” spewing hate against Jews and Christians every DAY would be shut down, I would hope, and not called a church but some kind of cult. Yet Islamic people are let to preach their supremacist hate. Why????

McMasters got his reputation based on one battle which was waged against a bunch of dip-shits. He had a simple mission and the best gear: go smoke those clowns over there >>>. He said “Go” to his men and they went and kicked ass and McMaster got the glory. He is no great military mind, no brilliant strategist, he’s not even a good tactician. He got his stars because the Army needed to promote someone based on their combat experience and McMaster had the biggest, most recent headlines. He is no Patton, he wasn’t even a Michael Wittmann. • DFD says

          Dec 22, 2017 at 6:22 pm

          1) In 2005 Trump started construction on his skyscraper the Trump International Hotel and Tower (Chicago)

          2) To build the tower, Trump received a loan from Deutsche Bank for $650 million

          3) Trump also received a $160 million mezzanine loan from a group of private investors including George Soros, Fortress Investment Group and Blackacre Capital (The loan was estimated by the Wall Street Journal of having a total value as high as $360 million with accrued interest)

          4) By October 2008 Trump had sold nearly $600 million in condo and condo-hotel units, more than half of the total value of all the units in his tower

          6) After seven years (2005-2012) Trump was on his way to paying off his main construction loan to Deutsche Bank

NOW: —*****For reasons unexplained to the public, the majority of Trump’s mezzanine loan was quietly forgiven by the loan’s original lenders******—

          7) No media outlet covering the deal has put together the pieces and told the public that George Soros let Donald Trump off the hook for what has been valued between $82 and $312 million in debt

          8) Why would Soros give what amounts to a massive debt relief to Trump during a financially successful period in Trump’s life? Are these men friends, enemies or business partners? {{{Insert by DFD: Obviously George Soros & Co “forgave” that loan out of the goodness of their hearts. Asking for something in return? Perish the thought!}}}

          9) Trump needed what is called a “mezzanine loan”, a loan which is far more expensive than a regular bank loan. This kind of loan needs to be paid off more quickly to avoid high interest payments. ****It also needs to be paid back in full to keep the lender from taking ownership of the underlying asset.****

          {{{By DFD: Ahhh, just good that George Soros is such a jolly, kind hearted, loveable fellow….}}}

Yet Trump did not have to worry about paying back the majority of his mezzanine loan. This very, very special group of lenders (Soros & Co) simply erased a significant portion of this obligation.

These were the original mezzanine loan lenders: Soros, Fortress and Blackacre; all of whom decided {{probably in memory of mother Theresa}} to forgive Trump’s future interest payments on the loan, selling it to him (his loan!!!!) at the massively reduced price of $48 million. To put that in starker terms, Soros and the others effectively gave Trump possibly hundreds of millions of dollars in debt forgiveness, while cutting down the principal of his loan by $82 million. Basically, Soros and the others forgave Trump as much as $312 million for no apparent reason.

Apart from love for their fellow man… They were probably secret boy scouts, must have been.

Sons of Liberty says: “…and is working to squash his Marxist Globalist agenda.”

Ouhhh, that was a good one. How often did Trump mention Soros, since he was elected? Not once. But, his son in law did. Yup, Jared pointed out that his family has a long standing and good relationship with George Soros. That will worry Soros and his agenda to no end.

However, I was wrong indeed. It wasn’t 60 million, it was a lot more, but then, I haven’t looked for a while. Well, if Soros can forgive Trump dozens of millions, I am sure I can be forgiven my slight oversight…

BTW, enjoy your liberty, it’s getting less and less, if you haven’t noticed. May I recommend reading JihadWatch and similar?

Bit more on Kushner, go to: tinyurl.com/hc78eys (Tue, January 13st, 2017) That gets you to jewishbusinessnews_dot_com

They also declared Soros to be a ‘holocaust survivor’ – and yet, Soros declared in interviews (youtube) that that was the best time in his life. He is probably dreanged, his age perhaps?

To an extent, he is correct – since Islam is not a religion but a supremacist ideology, then this is not a religious war.

Where he is incorrect (deliberately) is in his pretence that Islamists are not following it’s precepts.

Pretending that Islam is a religion, gives it’s practitioners the excuse to push their ideology, and dhimmis the excuse not to resist.

    • Lydia Church says

      Dec 22, 2017 at 3:09 pm

      Of course it’s a religion.
      Who can say it’s not?
I can drum up some crazy notion like ‘this rock is god,’ some weird rituals that supposedly will bring prosperity and protection as a result of bringing offerings to this ‘rock god,’ and call it a religion. Who is anyone to say ‘no’? There are hundreds of religions out there, but only one is true; the Bible. So in that sense there is only one religion, the true one that is the only way to be saved and land in heaven. I realize that not all believe this but the point is the semantics of what is a ‘religion’? Who is authorized to define it as a religion or not a religion? We can’t say ‘it’s not a religion’ just because we don’t like it. A religion is a belief system; good or not, ‘valid’ or not, existentially and philosophically speaking. It is an ideology, but not one ordained by God in any other case than what He proclaimed in His Word, the Bible.

But, in one sense, he might be right: under condition that deep knowledge of Islam will make you come to indisputable conclusion that indeed Islam is an exemplary edifice of “irreligious ideology,” all its mumbo-jumbo about “otherworldliness” and illogical fantastic arbitrary claims to the contrary notwithstanding.

I see there is nothing to be gained by McMaster accusing all Muslims of being stealth jihadis or reminding them that their Quranic responsibility is to perform jihad. IMO McMaster wants to play the long game and his goal is to get Muslims to reject the violent passages and doctrines of the Qur’an.

Ultimately we do want to have peaceful relations with Muslim nations and the best way for that to happen is to get Muslims to focus on practicing the more peaceful aspects of their faith and to reject the violent and political ones. Good cop/bad cop coordinate in their opposition to jihad terrorism. Trump wants “Islamic terrorism” eradicated and has said so. The Muslim world has been put on notice by the bad cop. Boom.

McMaster as the good cop also wants Muslims to comply but is being a nice guy by allowing them to save face, by slight of hand if you wish, by saying that the violence and terrorism really is irreligious. Wink, wink. We all know where the violence originates but undoubtedly most of the world doesn’t.

McMaster has given speeches (available on Youtube) in which he talks about the long view as an historian. The way I see it, Muslim nations who want to get along with the US and move into the modern world and give their people a hopeful future will have to eliminate the jihad doctrine and other ills. Whether that results in an official reform of Islam or a deliberate denial of what is in the Qur’an, I don’t know. No one is going to come out and say it, but all religions are manmade thought systems and as such can be reexamined and reinterpreted to apply to the present day. That’s what leaders are responsible to do and will do. It was no coincidence that Trump’s first foreign trip was to Saudi Arabia where he met with many leaders of many Muslim nations. It is no coincidence that Saudi Arabia is now going through a major shake up, and women are suddenly allowed to drive, and movies are being allowed to be screened.

It sure beats the strategy by the Obama administration where Susan Rice and Obama wanted to be seen as the good cop. Pathetic. They had the leverage of a wet noodle.

      ………………………..

I don’t think he is stupid, per se–he is in denial. There are a great number of otherwise intelligent people who don’t want to acknowledge the truth about Islam.

        Dec 23, 2017 at 2:23 am

What I meant by willful ignorance is McMaster’s decision to refer to Islam solely as a religion and the basic assumption that all religions are about people’s awareness of the divine and relationship to God in order to make their life better. Ordinary, non-devout Muslims want to have a relationship with God and feel they are connected to that higher power, regardless if they actually practice Islam or even know what is written in the Qur’an, etc., and they want to have a nice, peaceful life. Religions are supposed to help people achieve that better life and to the extent that ISIS or Al Qaeda instead produce violence they are “irreligious.”

It’s a little late so please forgive me for giving this shortened answer. Clearly we don’t know what is in McMaster’s mind. I just gave my impression of what he is doing.

“They” won’t be labeling “right-wing extremism” as “apolitical” as they invented the term as a false narrative to counter the real one characterizing Islamic terror. “They” would be the politically correct people claiming the falsehood that Islamic terror is a misnomer as terror cannot have a religious basis.

    ”

(US Army major) Nidal Hassan …in touch with Anwar Awlaki, and the Army knows about it. An FBI agent who’s tracking this correspondence calls his superiors. He was in San Diego. He calls his superiors in Washington and he says, “This guy’s in touch with this jihad terror mastermind and he’s an Army major,” and the FBI said, “We’re not interested.” The correspondence kept up. He wrote again. The FBI said, “Not interested.” This happened a few times. Finally, the agent in San Diego was so disturbed, he went to Washington himself. He went to the offices of the higher-ups in the FBI, and he set out the evidence about Hassan, and you know what they said to him? They said, “If we kept track of every Muslim in the military who was in touch with terror leaders, we would do nothing else.” Okay, well then, never mind. And, that it would look bad for them to take action against Hassan because there would be bad consequences in the media.

Now that’s where it gets to it. Can you imagine, if when they people who were hearing Hassan and were disturbed, if when they went to their superiors, if Hassan had been disciplined, or fired, or court-martialed or whatever, what would have happened? Can you see it? CNN: “Islamophobia in the Military. Army major shares his faith, speaks about Islam and is demoted,” or whatever. They would be ruined. Careers flashing before their eyes. I’m sure that’s what kept them from saying anything. That’s the power of the Islamophobia idea.

Benedict McMaster, like so many others in positions of power in the west, appear to believe that as a western white male they know more about the tenets of islam than those who were raised on those tenets. What are these people doing? It is long past time that he and the others explain the details of their thought process because I don’t see a thought process at all.

Apologist of Islam are the nation betrayers. I posted the following for an acceptable Islam in a Western multicultural tolerant environment:

The best way to prevent Islamophobia is the reform of the reading of canonical texts to set up a reform according to the following lines:
The Conservative Muslim supremacists have no political will to reform their religion because they smell the perfume of victory in face of the very weak Western spirituality riddled by naïve apologists and deceitful Leftists, destroying the base of our civilization. There is no time more favourable to Jihadism as in our modern decadent Western world.
Unreformed “moderate” Islam, specially the Orthodox one requiring Sharia on public site, is the fertile earth where extremism can flourish. In non Muslim countries, we should require a pledge according to these lines:
Unreformed Islam is incompatible with the democratic constitution, unless they proceed to a fundamental of an authoritative reading of the Quran to vaccinate Muslims against extremism, what Muslim scholars have not yet undertaken (except a tiny minority of scholars). The main points of contention are:
    1. Renounce to establish a theocracy, with the consequence of separating Mosque and State. Power hungry opportunists will always abuse religion with personal benefit. The demise of the secular state of Pakistan and Turkey, and the degrading security of non-Muslims in Indonesia was always paired with corrupt politicians courting Islamism in order to keep power and continuing to get the benefits of corruption.
    2. Renounce to convert people using compulsion and repression.
    3. Renounce the law of apostasy, recognizing the right of ex-Muslims to choose another religion or none, as they see fit.
    4. Renounce to forbid Muslim women to marry men of other religions.
    5. Renounce to compel children of Muslim father to become Muslims, accepting what they freely choose to be when they become adults.
    6. Renounce the law of blasphemy.
Every Muslim organization, which does not comply to these points should be banned and their leaders deported out of the country.
Activities of Clerics should be regularly monitored.
An Orthodox Muslim answered on my post that I have some good points according to my standpoint, but contrary to the other religions written by human, the Quran has directly dicatated by Allah, and its reading cannot be reformed. Thus, To not accept that the Islam canonical texts can be potentially harmful in justifying Jihad and the connection to Islamic extremism, put Mac Master among the Islam apologist. If we would like a peaceful Islam, all Suraht legitimizing violence should be relativized with history of the beginning of Islam and focus on the peaceful Suraht. In being weak against Muslim supremacism, a real moderate Islam has no chance as witnessing the scrambling of moderate Islam in Indonesia bowing to extremism. The latest example was the inability to protect the former non-Muslim Governor of Jakarta who is now in prison for blasphemy.
On the other hand one has to put full support of truly reformed Muslim scholars, as Dr. Qanta Ahmed, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, Maajid Nawaz , Dr. Tawfik Hamid, Adam Deen of the Quilliam Foundation just to name a few. Our energic support of moderate Muslim against political Islam is needed to provide goodwill Muslim a perspective in a peaceful multicultural society, because we cannot expect Muslim leaving en masse Islam.
In supporting the concept of Islamophobia and being nice to supremacist Muslim will lead us into dhimmitude. Dhimmitude is only a temporary state for Orthodox Muslims as the history of Al Andaluz (Islamic Spain) reputed to show a dissymmetric tolerance (even there an non-Muslim was not equal. When the Almohad dynasty took power in Al Andaluz, dhimmitude was suppressed. The family of the Jewish leading theologian had to escape from Spain and the Christian communities remaining in North Africa had been annihilated.

H.R. McMaster is either a complete and utter moron or an evil man spewing lies of the devil?! To make the statement that ISIS, and other groups like them, are not Islamic is about on par with saying the Apostle Paul was not a Christian! ISIS is a demonstration of the Islamic “Reformation” as they are getting back to the TRUE and fundamental roots of what Islam is all about!
