The freedom fighters aren’t giving up easily.
jihad3tracker says
I READ A BBC REPORT THAT INTERNET PHONE SERVICE IS DOWN FOR SOME SECTORS OF THE IRANIAN POPULATION.
So, how big these protests become largely depends on how effectively the Iranian government can interrupt its people from talking to each other without face-to-face conversations.
eduardo odraude says
I imagine the technologies of communication may become increasingly hard to control…
Ashley says
It is times like these that I wish I pursued my interest in ham radio.
The world is watching, Iran.
jihad3tracker says
HELLO ASHLEY — YES, HAM RADIO ! ! ! Talking to enthusiasts anywhere around the world, and too complicated for mullahs.
As Robert watches this hour by hour, I predict that the Islamic Republic is doomed. Maybe not in a few days or even a month, but definitely at a year’s marker.
Lawrence says
I am in Israel and for our sakes as much as the long suffering Iranians, I pray you are right. Unfortunately the Iranian army and Revolutionary Guard hold the power, and as long as they support the ayatollahs, how can the Iranian protesters win, unarmed as they are? .
CRUSADER says
Just like in what got showcased in the movie, “Rosewater”
…..
Phil Copson says
“….I READ A BBC REPORT THAT INTERNET PHONE SERVICE IS DOWN FOR SOME SECTORS OF THE IRANIAN POPULATION…..”
And how far are Facebook, Google,Twitter, Youtube, Zuckerberg etc etc assisting the Iranian authorities to stamp out the first flicker of freedom ?
And are leaders like May, Merkel, Macron, Lofven, Rutte and Trudeau willing to betray the leaders of any secular uprising in order to protect their trade with the mullahs ?
Since almost no other Western leader can be trusted to stand up for freedom – (with a few shining exceptions in Hungary, Poland, Czechia etc) – Trump should make it plain that (A) any communication giant caught siding with a totalitarian regime will be massively punished, and (B) that any moves by the UN to support the mullahs will be punished with further funding cuts and the suspension of aid and trade to countries supporting any such resolution.
John Pierce says
Yeah
Guy Forester says
1. Ham radio operators need to help fill that gap created by the governments.
2. The US, Hungary, Poland, and Czech Republic need to bombard Iran with shortwave radio updates, as should any privately run radio shows.
3. The UN is useless.
4. The Iranian army, navy, and air force need to mutiny and stand up for the people of Iran.
J D S says
Delivery time they have had an uprising the protesters have been put down by government forces….I wish the protesters God’s help.
mortimer says
The Iranian police are not there to protect the people, but to murder them according to the whims of the government.
After 38 years of treachery from the mullahs, almost two generations of Iranians have had it. It looks like they will start the revolution now.
Islam is finished.
eduardo odraude says
It will probably die by the sword (as it has lived), but not just yet.
Westman says
I certainly hope the Iranians can take back their country from Islam’s control. Iran has the potential to be a first class nation if unfettered.
Islam as a government system is worse than communism and even more incompetent. It is sad to see Turkey falling back into the tar pit of Islam.
Bernard Richards says
” Islam as a government system is worse than communism and even more incompetent. It is sad to see Turkey falling back into the tar pit of Islam.”
Love your definition . Best , Bernard
MTMLA says
Jimmy Carter must be sad.
Lou says
Yo-yo idiot Jimmy Carter….
Karen says
I see that CNN finally got on board with some reporting. Sheesh….better late than never, I guess.
Thomas Kimball says
Gee, why would anybody ever want to destroy sharia law? Its so peaceful and benevolent or is it malevolent ?
Guy Forester says
Yes, let’s send Linda Sarsour over there to tell the protestors how good their life is under the mullahs and how they should be celebrating, not protesting.

It didn’t take the Mullahs long to turn this ugly.

Wonder if Obama is still rooting for the mullahs?
Yes, this is a question that should be asked, must be asked.
Westman says
He was raised on a sweetened, lazy, version of Islam, kind of like his thin understanding of Christianity that was tolerant of “g-d-amerika” from his Rev J. Wright.
Everyone remembers the good times shared with relatives while a youngster. He can’t relate to how serious fundamentalists think with their minds stuffed with the memorized Sunna of Islam. In Paul Simon’s vernacular, it’s a wonder they can think at all!
I only remember 2 good things about Obama presidency, the end of Bin Laden and Performances At The White House. He was basically a caretaker president that did little to help(non-celebrity) blacks and kicked the DACA can down the road until it became unsolvable.
Terry Gain says
Obama was much worse than useless. He weakened America and strengthened Islam. After listening to his June 2009 speech in Cairo I became covinced that he’s a Muslim, perhaps not religiously but intellectually and emotionally. The insane Iran deal sealed the deal with me. Obama is not merely naive. He is evil.
Michael Copeland says
“I am not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be”,
Obama at White House dinner.

gravenimage says
Westman–with all respect–Obama was much worse than that.
And the idea that no one can think objectively about the societies in which they grew up is mistaken. I grew up in the underclass with a violent family involved in petty crime. Of course I have some good memories, as does almost every child–but that does not mean that I was unable to reject the ugly parts of what I grew up with.
Terry Gain says
I would love to see a reporter ask him if he is still on the side of the Mullahs, like he was in 2009.
Mockingjay says
– There are NO reporters WHATSOEVER in the MSM who would ask such a question….even just REPORTING about what’s going on in Iran right now seems to be asking too much of our “trusted media outlets”, – and appears to only be done with great, GREAT reluctance…
Mockingjay says
– Maybe it isn’t entirely a coincedence that this Iranian rebellion starts now, with Obama finally out of the White house and a new prez who takes on a VERY different attitude towards the regime…?
jihad3tracker says
HELLO WELLINGTON — And the commenters who have remarks below yours at 5:53 PM. My perspective on Barry Hussein Soetoro: I am a 69 year old senior geezer, a FORMER LIFELONG DEMOCRAT who finally woke up (in 2010) to reality about Islam, thanks to Robert and Jihad Watch.
Barack Obama is a dream-come-true for WHITE leftist “mainstream media”. Those cowards will NEVER be honest about the damage Obama has done to U.S. security — caused by his hatred of Christianity and love of ISLAM AS THE “FAITH” HE ABSORBED AS A CHILD.
Eventually in several years from now, a biography of him will be written exposing the sedition and treason at the center of his hidden agenda.
Westman says
Islam is forced into a child’s mind like a bit into a horse’s mouth. He who holds the reins has the real control. That’s why Obama never fully escaped. That horrible sound of meuzzins, in a language he doesn’t know, became his music.
To make a horse work requires effort to overcome the persistant resistance to control. When allowed to pursue its own interests, there is no resistance, even if pulling a cart. If Iran is to become a real power, respected and prosperous, each man must have the freedom to pursue his own dream and not those of stagnant Mullahs.
Mullahs, give up your failure. Drop the reins.
jihad3tracker says
To understand PRESIDENT OBAMA’S, LOVE OF ALLAH, AT HIS VERY BEST TAQIYYA DECEPTION RECORDED ON TAPE:
Watch Dr. David Wood’s video “Three Stages Of Jihad” — easily found on YouTube. The video runs a long 25 minutes, but it explains jihad transitions from Stealth to Defensive to Offensive.
There are about 10 clips where Obama speaks with absolute clarity intending to deceive that Islam is actually peaceful if properly understood.
gravenimage says
There *are* Muslims who are brave and principled enough to leave Islam–not enough, though.
Ziba Delavar says
Once Islam dies in Iran, it would have a domino effect; it will die in the west as well. Hooray. As an ex-Muslim from Iran, I have been praying for this. May Jesus help Persians and they turn to Christ the Savior, after they take their country back from the Satanic Mullahs..
Terry Gain says
Ziba
It is ex-Muslims like you who will deliver Muslims from the tyranny of Islam.
Older Canadian says
May all your days be blessed.
Ziba Delavar says
Thank you to both Older Canadian and Terry Gain. It was Khomeini who started the spread of Islam in the west. Once it dies in Iran, Islam will be finished. There are a lot of angry Iranians who hate all religions right now and they can’t stomach even Christianity. But Christianity is fast spreading. There are many Iranian Christian Pastors and there are many church houses, so in time, that beautiful country will become Christian which means Christianity will grow stronger in the west and with it, Amen, Islam will sink into the abyss of forever. Hallelujah
Mockingjay says
The wise men will then come from the east once more!
LeftisruiningCanada says
🙂
MTMLA says
Amen!! I hope you are right and the righteous people win this battle.God bless!
Thomas Brewster says
Let me play the party pooper 🙂 The Sunni Arab culture and the Iranian/Persian Shiite culture seem to me (as an interested outsider) quite different. The british colonial powers used to say: “Keep the Persians hungry, and the Arabs fat.”
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/03/opinion/starving-iran-wont-free-it.html
Apparently, they perceived that a strong Iranian population would use its resources to fight for freedom, while a wealthy Arab population would just sit back and enjoy the spoils. Different cultures, apparently.
So all this to say that I’m not sure if the well-earned freedom of the Iranian people would change the radical Sunni traditionalists in any way (maybe even the reverse). Good luck to the protesters in Iran!
Zoe says
Jesus bless you Ziba and May your influence bring others out of Islam.
D Austin says
Seems you forgot the part of the Bible that says Persia (that’s Iran for you people who don’t habla) takes a prominent role in the Gog and Magog attack on Israel in the future.
Don’t write Turkey off so fast. The Ottoman Empire is rising again. Jesus said that the Seat of Satan is in Pergamon (or Pergamum), Turkey and his Mount of Assembly is Jebel Aqra, properly Jebel al-ʾAqraʿ (Arabic: جبل الأقرع, [ˈd͡ʒæbæl al ˈʔaqraʕ]; Turkish: Cebel-i Akra), also known as Mount Casius, on the coastal Turkish, Syrian border.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Amen to that

REJECTING THE EVIL OF iSLAM IS THE FIRST STEP, FOR ANY PERSIAN REBIRTH !
Phil Copson says
Hello Ziba – let’s hope that you’re right – my Iranian friend who came to England in the 1970s to get away from religious persecution will also be delighted.
Trump should make it plain that (A) America has no animus towards the people of Iran – only towards their tyrannical leadership – and will support a new government, and (B) that America will not allow Russia to prop up the mullahs as it has with Assad.
From your spelling of “Savior”, I take it that you are now living in Canada or the USA ?
The Church of England should adopt a new recruiting slogan – “Putting the “You” into Saviour”….?
gravenimage says
I think seeing this as the death of Islam in Iran is perhaps a bit too much to hope for, Ziba Delavar.
Kudos to you for leaving that foul creed, though–and I hope this leads to things being at least somewhat better in Iran. Of course, I hope for a full secular democracy there–but one step at a time.
Jack says
They must kill the mullahs outside of Qum. That is all there is to it. Kill them.

The young people of Iran have had it with this thuggish theocracy. Obama threw billions at these mullahs so they and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to arm Hezbollah and Hamas and work towards it’s goal of nuclear war with Israel.
The people of Iran need America’s help and Israel’s help. If the Saudis and the UAE are smart, they will help too so the world can be rid of this psychotic tyranny.
The current regime in Iran is hellbent on nuking Israel.
They should be replaced by reasonable people who want a better life for themselves and their families and who have learned, like the Eastern Europeans, to reject tyranny.

CRUSADER says
Perhaps it is (just for now) another flare-up as in what occurred in 2009….when Obama rendered such little aid (a la Eisenhower for the 1956 Hungarians…..)
Perhaps this is just a bit like what recently occurred in Turkey, whereby the Authoritarian Erdogan (Murderagain) was able to use this civil unrest as an excuse to crack down and widen control….
Perhaps….perhaps….

The whole world is watching? Not if the MSM can help it. hussein obola has his big floppy ear to ground on this one, you can bet. valerie jarret has a hot line, no doubt. I remember the counter counter revolution in Egypt, so anything can happen. There will always be more people than government but with no second amendment the people would have much heavier losses, win or lose.
Matthieu Baudin says
The Iranian younger generation have had no choice but to put their lives on the line in this struggle against Theocratic Despotism and entrenched corruption. For Europeans there are echoes here of the struggle against the Security Apparatus during the successful uprising that swept away the Romanian Communist Regime. At some point in that struggle the personnel who were entrusted with keeping the old order in place came to the realisation that they were really only murdering their own and their neighbours young people. There seems to be a link between this uprising, particularly the assertiveness of its young women, and the Second Spring unfolding in Tunisia where young women are also prominent in the push for visibility in an emerging civil society.
tgusa says
It is not just Iran. The muslims/mullahs in charge cannot allow the veil to be torn away. Through the veil they hide all sorts of atrocities being perpetrated on women. How many women have been abducted through out the world and brought forcibly under the veil? How many born and raised there live lives of eternal misery?
Right now abused women over there would not dare say a word. Why would they as to them even the modern west is no friend of theirs. Shameful. And these recent yet old sex assault for a part or position people in the US think they are brave for finally speaking out on the horror they experienced! They don’t care about real abused women but that does not surprise me.
Meanwhile the mullah media will carry on in their duty to their friends.
Joe says
These types of events are ruled by the military. We don’t know how much of the military is against the Mullahs.

Very courageous of them with such a brutal regime. May the real God help them.

Those muslim evil supreme ayatollahs are destroying Iran and many people are suffering, because of those evil islamic rulers. Islam will go to hell, as Muhammad went to hell.
