“Islamophobia – A word created by fascists and used by cowards to manipulate morons.” Andrew Cummins
I am no longer shocked or surprised to hear stories of men and women from the police force facing disciplinary action for criticising Islam. Men and women who have an impeccable work record who all of a sudden find themselves losing everything for saying halal meat is barbaric or for saying Sharia courts should be shut down. It should be shocking and it should be headline news that the very people who are supposed to serve and protect us, risk losing their jobs, for ‘insulting Islam.’ I suppose we should go back to the beginning to find out how we got here.
When my father arrived in the UK in the late 60s, he had no interest in getting special treatment, happy to be in the land of the free. Where money really did grow on trees and women were more accessible than they were back in Pakistan. What was there not to love about his new home, apart from the freezing cold, it was better than the poverty he had left behind. Did he want it to be ruled by Sharia? No! This was the late 60s, remember, and it was Iran and Afghanistan that were slowly being taken over by Islam. It was in Iran and Afghanistan that women were protesting against the forced veiling and all the other restrictions Islam forces on women and men.
Fast-forward to the UK, and it is obvious sharia is creeping into everyday life. The Home Affairs Committee has launched an inquiry into Sharia courts that operate in the UK; some say there are 80 Sharia courts, although due to their secretive nature, the true number is unknown. The fact that there is an inquiry at all shows there is a problem; although the Muslim men in charge of the inquiry makes it pointless, as they will no doubt find nothing wrong with Sharia, if applied in ‘context’ and something to do with ‘nuance.’
I hear lots of people talk about how they are too scared to reveal their identity on social media, and use anonymous accounts for fear of losing their job, as they are critical of Islam, and I hear lots of people who think these people are exaggerating and call them racists and Islamophobes. Then I read stories in the papers, stories such as that of Javaria Saeed, a former counter-terrorism officer for the Metropolitan Police and a practising Muslim, who complained to her bosses about some of her fellow Muslim officers. These Muslim officers saw nothing wrong with FGM and also advised Muslim women suffering from domestic violence to go to Sharia courts rather than report it to the Police. Unless the abuse was really violent, and how they determined ‘really violent’ abuse was not clear.
In August last year I was invited, along with many others, to speak at an event organised by Anne Marie Waters of Sharia Watch UK. An event at which I spoke about how Islam kills women, kills them not just physically but mentally and emotionally. This is not a lie, and we only need to look to Muslim countries to see how women are punished. We know in the UK that Muslim women are punished too, we have laws to protect them from forced marriage, from FGM, HBV, and there is talk of making breast ironing a crime too. The one thing these evil acts all have in common is religion, some argue and say it is cultural, and I say it is religion.
Africans, Egyptians, Indians, Pakistanis, and Indonesians, to name some, carry out FGM, all are completely different cultures, yet religion is the common denominator.
Anne Marie received hassle from the police. She couldn’t hold the event outside Westminster, they said, so she chose another location and that too was not suitable, as she needed to apply for permission. It seemed as if there was nothing but obstacles put in her way, with those in charge hoping she would cancel the event. Anne Marie is a strong woman and refused to back down, and so eventually they gave up and allowed her to hold the event outside Westminster, her first choice of venue.
If you want to march calling for Sharia law and for a Caliphate in the UK, then no obstacles will be put in place. Instead, the police will walk alongside you to protect you from any backlash. While you march, you can wave the ISIS flag, and that, too, goes unchecked. Protest against Sharia and mock Islam, and you may well find yourself arrested.
You can also wave banners and hold placards calling for the ‘Death of British Soldiers.’ That, too, is allowed and given a free pass. Protest against the evil and barbaric ways in which Islam kills women, stoning, lashing, beheading, and you may find yourself being accused of a ‘hate crime.’
Am I the only one who can see how stupid this is? Am I the only one who can see the double standards that exist in British society? Fighting for British culture and for British laws, and you are smeared as an Islamophobe, racist and fascist. March for the UK to become a Caliphate and for Sharia to rule, and you can do this every day if you want, with no hassle and no being moved on.
But when we have a Prime Minister who wears a headscarf when meeting with Muslim leaders, then is it any wonder the country is in the state it is in? What message does that give?
Islam has special privileges in the UK, and anyone who disagrees or challenges this is accused of racism. Racism against an idea, a religion is not possible, but as I said, Islam has special privileges, so you can be racist towards it, and if you argue that is not possible then you’re an Islamophobe.
Do we give this special treatment to, say, Judaism? Do we arrest those who speak out against the Jewish people? No! All other religions can suck it up and deal with it; Christianity is mocked and rightly so, as is the Catholic Church and the child sex abuse scandal. So many Catholics left their faith, refused to go to chapel and mass after the scandal that rocked their religion, so sickened by the rape of children and the cover up.
Mosques are not immune to this abuse, and we have hear of molvis and imams who have abused and raped the children left in their care, trusted by the parents to teach them the Quran and not abuse that trust by sexually abusing and raping their children. Do we talk about this as freely as the Catholic priest’s abuse? No we don’t, because only one religion has special privileges and the rest don’t.
We have the Labour Party, who has a bunch of party members who are blatant Jew-haters, and all they need to do is apologise and carry on. Imagine if the Tory party openly hated Muslims. Would they be allowed to apologise and carry on? You would never hear the end of it.
Some laugh and say the fear is not rational and that Muslims do not want Islam to take over the UK. These are the liberal leftie Islam-loving and appeasing for votes and the deluded.
Britain is becoming like Iran and Afghanistan in the 60s, when the Islamists were taking over. Sharia is creeping into everyday life and there are too many quick to silence those who speak out about it.
We have a Labour councillor who demands that a school change its uniform policy to allow a 4-year-old to wear a hijab, we jail those who place bacon onto mosque door handles and give them longer sentences than we do to those who mutilate their daughter’s vagina, and we do not even arrest those who force FGM onto their daughters.
Just recently there was an article in the papers about the police being too scared to do anything about FGM for fear of being called a racist. Allowing little girl’s vaginas to be mutilated for fear of being called a name? Failing to protect little girls from a lifetime of suffering for fear of being called a name?
Hate preachers who are banned in Pakistan are given visas to travel to the UK and spread their hate in mosques. These visits are advertised all over Facebook and other social media platforms. In these mosques, they can preach to their fellow Muslims hatred towards the kaffirs, the Jews and the West. All the while they must be laughing at the stupidity of our government.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a fear of a religion that calls for your death for daring to leave it, that hangs you from a crane for being gay, that stones you to death for being raped.
Call me an Islamophobe all you want, it won’t stop me from speaking out about the ways in which the government is being bullied by Muslims, I do not want to be ruled by Sharia and I know there are millions of others like me, Muslims and non-Muslims, who agree. They cannot silence us all.

WRONGLY SO.
That is the only one that should not be mocked, but those who mock Christianity should be mocked, and rightly so!
By the way, not that anyone should mock Judaism, that one gets complicated and I could embark on that explanation, but at a later time…

Clerical sexual abuse is a serious scandal and sin. However, it is not confined to the Catholic Church, nor to Christianity, it has been and is in all walks of life, be it religious, political, the media, even in families. It is something that is done by people, men and women. So if we are getting into the mocking business, let us mock the human race. All the shit that happens in the world is done by people. We are the problem!
Tarig Ibrahim says
Yes, you are right; because we are sinful by nature, not by occupation or vocation. But the issue has a different dimension when it comes to Islam. Muslims are “righteous -monger” and should be judged by the same measure and standard they use to judge others. But, alas, Muslims typically cannot adhere to common sense of the golden rule: “treat others as you would have them treat you”: that would sum up this article here!
Charles Martel Appreciation Society. says
I agree with you Tarig. I was taking issue with Christianity being rightly mocked and perhaps was not clear on that.
rufolino says
Because sexual abuse is a grievous sin wherever it is discovered, it doesn’t make less HEINOUSLY grievous the abuse practised within the Catholic Church by so-called priests of God. The wickedness revealed in the Catholic Church, practised by priests but deliberately concealed, is of a particularly dreadful nature.
Charles Martel Appreciation Society. says
rufolino: you are right in what you say and I wasn’t trying to lessen this HEINOUS sin and crime, nor to lessen the way in which the Catholic Church dealt with it. It was shamefull. But was trying to put it into perspective that the human race has nothing to boast about and that there is far to much self righteousness, which is causing so many problems, whether it be violence, limiting free speech, or demonising and dehumanising the other, which all leads to the abuse of whatever kind against the who are deemed to be lessser in some way.
I hope you don’t live in a glass house.
Frank Riley says
Agreed. But the Catholic Church is the very last place where one should find sexual abuse of this kind. The laxity in admissions to the priesthood in earlier decades following Vatican II has much to do with this situation which evidently has much more to do with homsexuality than with pedophilia, the victims being overwhelmingly adolescent males.
John S., Obeda says
A note to Tarig Ibrahim: You do realize do you not that there is NO such thing as the Golden Rule in Islam. That rule comes from Christianity. You must know that the rule that comes from Muhammad is: be kind and good to the Muslim who believes correctly and do not be kind and good or even a friend of the unbelievers. So we see that not only because of their own sinful human nature the Islamist sins in the sight of the true God, (as also is the case with Christians) but also by their very own teachings found in their Qur’an and Hadiths the Islamist sins in the sight of the true God..
John Vieira says
Clerical(?) sexual abuse is more pervasive in the cult of Islam than in any known religion as it HAS BEEN “officially” sanctioned for the last 1400 years…

Untill Islam is openly mocked we will continue down the road toward dhimitude and eventual islamification. We are a long way from that due to the ignorance and cowardice of our so called ‘leaders’
Charles Martel Appreciation Society. says
Yes, the sexual abuse is largely of a homosexual nature and has a history much older than Vatican II. It is a great scandal and sin and should not have a place in the Catholic Church, nor anywhere else.
libertyORdeath says
I believe every religion deserves scrutiny and criticism and good natured mocking is included.
I really think the Christian community needs to realize that by arguing so strongly for religious deference and exceptions for “religious rights” like refusing service to those they disagree with is very dangerous. In the US our constitution guarantees freedom AND equality for all religions. Picture a scenario where Muslims start to use the right to refuse service or any other religious “freedoms” that Christians are pushing for…they are already studying and utilizing every freedom our countries provide against us.
We also cannot be goaded into regressing back to an older state where religion is “too sacred” or off limits for criticism or satire. We know that this is EXACTLY what the Islamic supremacists want.
Just as everyone has the right to follow their religion, proselytize etc. Those who do not believe have the right to disagree and exercise their freedom of speech, even in the case of religion. Again, jihadists would love nothing more than to have blasphemy laws enforced for Christians because it would transfer into blaspheming islam or the “prophet”. Our freedoms are our best defense against jihadis.

Disagree. Most vehemently disagree. Here’s why: Mocking evil is the next best thing to crushing it. What, you don’t want to mock Hitler, or Marx, or Mohammed? Do you not understand that making fun of evil is a way of reducing it and putting it in its place? Reducing its influence? Yes, just imagine your approach, i.e., never mock malevolence. Really?
Your turn.

Sadly, the situation only gets worse after someone is called “islamaphobic” or “racist” by either muslims and/or the regressive left.
Once the victim has been branded with either of those false accusations it’s open season for any/all kinds of horrific persecution – all of which is seen as justifiable.

Well stated! The Moslems I speak to say that UK will be Moslem by 2023. They actually have been told that by the Establishment- so they report. There was a “spoof” story in New English Review, in which the HM Govern, ent developed the “Lancaster Plan” To make UK Moslem. Look it up on Google. My guess it is “Counter Intelligence”.http://www.newenglishreview.org/John_M._Joyce/The_Lancaster_Plan/. I heard about this in 1997 while a postgrad at UCL London. My tutor told me. Shocking does not even begin to describe such betrayal if even half true. UK is lost I am afraid and afraid we should be. My 95 years old father who fought in Bomber Command i WW2 as a pilot wonders why he and his pals fought. He lost 74% of his comrades and this is how they are treated, Disgust does not even begin to describe my anger. The whole EU is an “Islamic Project”. Blair is supposedly responsible for this devious betrayal. That man is appalling and he had the nerve to claim to be a Christian while selling us out.

Report where? Just more delusions more likely. Wow, another of those winged horses just flew over – the quran really is true.

Okay. Firstly let me say, I could well believe the UK could see a Muslim majority at some point – based on demographics it would appear inevitable. I’m a Brit and am aware of the truly alarming demographics and birth rates. For example, earlier this week there was a huge traffic accident in the City of Birmingham. One of those killed was a Muslim taxi driver – aged merely 33 – a father of SIX children!!!! That beggars belief!!! If you were to say – Luton could become Muslim, by majority very soon I would say – yes. The UK by 2023? Not a chance. Too soon. Muslims will become a majority – in as much as they are practitioners of their supposed ‘religion’ because so many Christians and Catholics have become atheists. As a true majority – in terms of them versus non Muslims, then perhaps by 2050/2060. That said, I truly believe there will be various forms of Civil Wars around Western Europe due to the Balkanisation of our lands, which was ridiculously and vilely permitted by our treacherous leaders.
gravenimage says
True–things are bad enough in the UK without someone pretending that Muslims are going to go from 5% of the population to a majority in five years.
Robin says
“a Muslim taxi driver – aged merely 33 – a father of SIX children!!!!”
I know of numerous charming beautiful “Muslim” women who had ZERO children – probably because they didn’t want a Muslic husband – they regularly tried to chat me up but I knew more about Islam than they did and great as the “tempation” was, the revulsion of the cult was greater.
The real big growths of our time are:
– “Islamophobia”
– EX-muslims
The fact that muslims are deluded that their pathetic own-goal quran is the most wonderful book in the universe helps to doom their cult.
Robin says
>”The Moslems I speak to say that UK will be Moslem by 2023.”
So what? Moslems also believe that an incoherent book full of contradictions and ingorance (flat earth etc) is the perfect words of god. So why waste time believing what they say?
>”They actually have been told that by the Establishment- so they report.”
What report where? Just more delusions more likely.
Julian Farmer says
They do not need to be in the “majority demographically” but they have the support of the Government. That is the problem. If Corbyn gets in after the pathetic behaviour of PM “Sharia” May, then 2023 is very likely.
Khan controls London and many of the main cities in UK are now Moslem. The barbarians took the Roman world the same way. The British Police are actually receiving sharia law training. It is not so much a”numbers game” but one of intimidation. The British younger generations are weak and fearful. Sorry to be pessimistic but I see little hope for the future of UK. The rot is too deep. Look at the weak response to the “Brexit Referendum”?
17,000,000 voters ignored by May and nobody says anything except moan. Britain is no longer a nation of lions. There are some who adhere to the traditional spirit but in the main the populace is soft, self- centred and decadent.
The Moslems know this. There is no Church left worthy of the name and Islam will fill the void as nature abhors such a vacuum. I am sorry to deflate hope but there is no sign of any real opposition, sad to say.
Many may see Islam as preferential to”Diversity” politics that includes giving powerful drugs to infants to change their “gender”. People are sick of this horrid activity and long for a traditional world free of weird progressive fixations, that are miles away from the concerns of the ordinary People. Islam will appear normal by comparison. The trendy virtue signalling hypocrites of London are a very small minority indeed.
The Church even advocates Transgender politics. How many people ascribe to the desire of perhaps 1% of the populace? The UK has become a battleground of tiny minority interests. This is the result of 70 years of Cultural Marxism. Our institutions are saturated in group think after “The Long March Through The Institutions” advocated by Marx etc. I suggest the reader looks up a book by astronomer Fred Hoyle written around 1971. He predicted all of this even back then.
It is my belief that the “political class” want an Islamic Britain. The Police are simply political bully boys, ever anxious to earn their Islamic diversity awards. The lack of response to 1400 gang rapes of nubile English girls says it all. We are weak and girlie.
Save Europe says
Please note that in my initial response to the poster, I quibbled over his estimation on a Muslim majority in the UK. Equally, in your response to myself on my own post within this thread – let me say this – sure you know many Muslim with zero kids, but that’s partly not the point. If even 25 percent were to have 4-6 kids (based on those who crave Sharia Law in the UK – see the Sir Trevor Phillips’ report), and Non Musljms continue to have sub 2,3/2.5 kids per family, then that does, indeed, lead to eventual doom for non Muslims in the UK. My point about the taxi driver? It isn’t abnormal whatsoever to use what Anjem Choudry said – to use the Jihad Seekers’ Allowance to outbreed us and to take the Jizya Tax from non Muslims.

Thank god for people like Anne Marie Waters, and now Shazia for speaking out.
There is no need to speak to the choir, so I bring these issues up in the ‘PC’ part of the U.S., and so many people, women included know nothing about what is going on. I can only do my little part, and I bring up FGM, Sharia councils etc. Most are open to info., but of course people are busy living their own lives, and whatever does not effect them, they just can’t be bothered with.
I wish people would stop being so fatalistic in fighting against Islamists. Many people like Hirsi Ali, Anne, and Shazia are out there. It will be a tough ‘fight’ and people need to ‘keep on it’, keep bringing these issues up where ever there is an opening, an opportunity. It’s a start.

All religions should be mocked! Magical thinking simple has no place in the 21st century. And I’m too well educated to believe this nonsense which is often pandered by Christian apologists about how Christianity created the Enlightenment. Bollocks! It was the intellectual background of ancient Greece which made that possible, not yet another Iron Age myth about some guy doing magic stuff. Christianity has done nasty things in the past, too, albeit it never had the nastiness incorporated as an integral part of its core ideology, as does Islam. Remember what the late great Christopher Hitchins (hallowed be his name! the one who hit the nail on the head when he said Islam is the motherlode of bad ideas!) said when by a Muslim woman asked if his book really had to bear a title which was a direct negation of Allahu akbar: all religions bear the capacity to be dangerous, and if he had been writing in the 1930’s, he would have said Catholicism was the worst of the worst because of its alliance with fascism. Let’s get rid of the whole bloody lot of fairy tales and start acting like thinking adults who don’t need the crutch of some big sugar daddy in the sky, please!
LeftisruiningCanada says
You might ask yourself why the writings of ancient Greece, no doubt *part* of the enlightenment, never made any head way east of Greece but did to the west.
The problem with angry atheists is that they don’t realize the foundations they’re standing on. To see what happens when you remove those transcendental foundations and replace them with others, you need only take a look at the USSR, China, Cambodia or Hitler’s Germany.
The verdict is in Paul, you might do yourself a favor and recognize that fact.
Paul says
Read Guns, Germs and Steel is you really want to know why the philosophy of the ancient Greeks blossomed into modern science, technology and rationalism only in Europe. BTW, love your long distance mind reading about being me an “angry atheist”. Gave me a good chuckle, I must admit. Angry at whom? Actually, rather than anger, I feel a deep sense of pity for all those still laboring under the mental yoke of superstition, especially the children whose minds are infected with well designed guilt mechanisms in service to an imaginary deity when they are young and defenseless. BTW, regarding Hitler’s Germany, you might do yourself a favor by reading Kant, Heidigger, Nietzsche, and especially Fichte if you really want to know how it came about. The “atheist” argument is so obviously false to any informed person that I houldn’t really be wasting my time responding to it, but I do so only in the hopes of helping you raise yourself out of your ignorance. 😉
LeftisruiningCanada says
Thanks for not explaining yourself.
You’ve read some J Diamond, wonderful.
If you don’t intend to come across as an angry atheist, then it would be well to reflect on your use of language.
Where did i claim that Nazism was founded totally on atheism? That was not the point. I wouldn’t say your first one was an atheist, though some do, but would you argue that Nietzsche and the others weren’t?
While hitler may have been a believer in the supernatural, or at least not a pure materialist, perhaps, he surely rejected Christian foundations, which was my point.
I’ve seen those who would try to make him out as a Christian, but the quotes they use tend to be from early on, when he was seeking voter support. Later on it become perfectly clear how little he had any respect for Christianity at all. Strangely for a Fascist, he may have thought that the State should be supreme.
Since you seem to have decided that it would be beneath your dignity to attempt civilized discourse with someone so ignorant as myself, i wish you a good and pleasant evening, and a very merry Christmas 🙂

I started to read your comments (diatribe) and at once this came into my head,
“The Pharisee stood and was praying this TO HIMSELF: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people…….” and I smiled. There is nothing new under the sun!
Your understanding of,
” Christianity has done nasty things in the past, too, albeit it never had the nastiness incorporated as an integral part of its core ideology, as does Islam.”
is incomplete. You have made the statement yet without understanding what you have said.
The FACT that ‘nasty things’ are incorporated in the Islamic Holy Books tells us they are part of Islamic belief and must be carried out.
The FACT that ‘nasty things’ are not found in the Bible, tells us those carrying out the ‘nasty things’ are doing them off their own back and not in obedience to their YHWH God.
YHWH tells us to love our enemies and pray for them, to bless and not curse our enemies.
Which part of ‘nasty things’ do these sayings tell us to carry out.
(I am not against self defence.)
Try reading Peter Hitchens, Christopher’s brother.
You fall into the deceived category of those thinking religion is some sort of crutch for weak people who need a belief to bolster up their lack of self esteem. That belief allows you to remain superior to those you look down on. A puffed up pride of self importance:- “The Pharisee stood and was praying this TO HIMSELF: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people…….”
Final point. You are looking at religions. I direct you to a person. The Jesus found in the Bible, not to be confused with anyone else with the same name, makes an offer to you. He offers to reveal himself to you, to allow you to see the positive difference a friendship with him can make.
Online you will find 4 biographies known collectively as the Gospels. John’s Gospel is a good one to start with.
I challenge you to read diligently with an open mind. Do you think you can do that?

You forgot Isaac Newton, who was also a Christian of sorts. But so what? Just because they made great contributions to rationality does nothing to support Magical Thinking. I have on my iPad and iPhone as a desktop background the Hubble Ultra Deep Field photo, showing hundreds of galaxies at distances of up to 13 billion light years, and this in only a tiny fraction of the sky. I always find that attempting to ponder the sheer vastness of time and space puts these pathetic little provincial morality plays which are the Abrahamic triad of Aberglaubens into the proper frame of reference – utter insignificance!

Something I’ve not seen mentioned or addressed about the Sharia courts is this – I read once they (Islamists) point to the allowance of Jewish courts as a defense of allowing Sharia courts in the U.K.
If this is true, then I think the solution for the U.K. is to ban all legal courts of any religion or other similar representation and only allow British courts of law. In other words, separation of Church and State made clear in that manner.
I’m sure someone living in the U.K. can shed more light on this.
Fred H says
The difference between sharia courts and Jewish courts (bet din) is that the latter do not seek to supplant the ordinary law of the land whereas the former do. Furthermore, the element of social coercion is absent in the case of Jewish courts, whereas in sharia courts it is not. As a matter of strict (English) legal principle, both courts are essentially arbitration tribunals, to which the participants voluntarily submit themselves. They can – at least in theory – always un-submit themselves, if they want, if they don’t like what’s going on and they can then resort to the ordinary courts. In practice, however, in the case of sharia, that almost never happens, owing to the social coercion already mentioned. Since neither the judiciary of England and Wales, and Scotland, nor the British government, have troubled to inform themselves accurately about the true nature of the predatory so-called ‘religion’ to which millions of recent immigrants to the country now subscribe, they think that sharia courts are completely harmless. What fools ! By the time we all wake up one day to find that the sharia courts – which are the beginnings of an entire alternative legal system – have replaced the ordinary courts and that there is a ‘devout’ Muslim prime minister in 10 Downing street, we are also likely to find that a large part of the country’s politicians and intelligentsia has either converted to the new ‘religion’ or else been bought off. At which point, the mass executions and the imprisonment of resisters, Jews, no-longer-useful idiots and other undesirables (e.g. Buddhists, Bahai, feminists, communists) will start. In short, the sharia courts are stalking horses.

Have you ever done such a thing while knowing you must move among and live among large numbers of Muslims, in a country where there is no First Amendment, no Second Amendment, and criticizing Islam might lose you your job, force you to spend your savings on legal fees, put you in prison, or even lead to your murder by jihadists? Under those circumstances, how many journalists and politicians are going to criticize Islam? How many are going to argue that Islam is a religion of peace?
Congratulations to you if you are one of the brave souls who stands up to the totalitarian mob.

Perhaps this is the right time to say this. Well over a year ago I decided to change my ISP.
Not long after I was connected up – hours I tried to connect to Jihad Watch – unsuccessfully. I phoned the company to be told it was on their blocked list. I asked how I could access it for I had no problems with my previous ISP whom I had left less than 24 hrs before.
The call handler was huffy. Did I really want to access the content of an extremist website? Clearly that is what he had been told to say. I explained it wasn’t an extremist website but an informative one supplying facts the mainstream media keeps quiet. He muttered something about children being able to access it for it would be outside parental controls AND the children might access porn. Assuring him that any children in my home would not be using my laptop, he reluctantly connected me.
I mused over it for a few days after that and wondered if ISPs report to the authorities those who have requested to be allowed to watched websites, which incidentally I am paying for monthly, considered ‘extreme’ and if my internet history is sent to the ‘terrorist authorities’. Maybe I should cover over the web cam. I’ve heard they can monitor people from there!
I wonder if anyone else has had the same experience in the UK – or anywhere else?

I have never been with BT Broadband and when I was with Talktalk I had no problems there. I had been with talktalk for many years. I only left because when they were hacked, my contact details were among those stolen then used to try to get me to divulge my bank details. I was sick of it. Even yet, when the details are sold on again to someone else I start to get lots of phone calls saying they are from talktalk telling me there are problems with my computer account. I never hear anything else for I just hang up.
Robin says
I’m not asking for details to “prove” it, just asking you to tell us which ISP and roughly when.
Re those calls, I have had a lot on my BT, they aren’t unique to Talktalk. Fortunately the scammers have now stopped, probably because they’ve now all retired as Rupee billionaires.

I cannot put in writing what I have said without proof. Legally I wouldn’t have a leg to stand on, so you will just have to accept it happened. What difference does it make. You know it isn’t BT and I have said it isn’t Talktalk. That narrows it down.

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
It is impossible to hate and love at the same time.
Christians are told to receive power from God to be able to forgive those who treat us badly. (Sometimes it is a long journey depending on the magnitude of the hatred)
That doesn’t means the forgiven one is let off the hook. It means the one doing the forgiving has peace of mind. Thus when the author of the article considers Christians are to be mocked, be glad, 4 new Christians in Iran have been imprisoned for their faith – a horrendous ordeal in Iran – a little mockery on its own wont harm us – We have a heavenly Father who loves us.

Shazia is correct : we cannot respect a Vatican leader or an Anglican one who insists that Christians must love their Muslim brothers in this Abrahamic Brotherhood, and that peace is possible through Submission to a brother-religion. The Christians in Europe have certainly bought into this idiocy thanks to their leaders’ treachery – yes they deserve to be mocked for voting in May, Corbin, Merkel, Macron……..

But, since his belief in mohammad is based on nothing but accepting the words and threats of well armed imams, and that he himself is now probably well armed and acting like a petty tyrant, nothing less would be expected.
The cult of islam relies on being propagated by having it’s followers become possessed by the same evil spirit that mohammad was possessed by. One of the signs of this is their expectation that their every word will be accepted as unquestionable truth.

1. Can you tell me where in the Koran it says the Holy Spirit is called satan?
The Bible Jesus loves you. He died (provable) and rose from the dead (provable) because he loves you. He wants you to get to know him. He doesn’t offer a friendship with a book – the Bible – but a friendship with himself.
In Islam, for you to be absolutely sure of going to Janna, you have to kill and be killed as a martyr for your God Allah.
In Christianity to be absolutely sure of going to heaven, by faith we accept Jesus died for our sins so we don’t have to be held accountable for them. We then have a friendship with him and he gives us power to change to be more like the Bible Jesus.
Why not give him a try – start by reading the Gospels, John is the best one to start with. They are online.

Ibraham,
Are you acquainted with the English translation of Sura 5 in the Koran?
If so you will know Mohammed stated,
“Say, O People of the Book! You are not (founded) on anything UNTIL you PERFORM the TORAH and the GOSPEL, and what was revealed to you from your Lord.”
You know the date for the Koran revelations, therefore you know the Bible was accurate when this was written.
We can prove that the Bible is the same today as that which was used when Mohammed recorded these words.
Also looking carefully at what was written, we can see they were revealed by the God of the Jews and the Christians.
We can prove by a comparison of the character of YHWH and the character of Allah that they are different Gods.
Allah is never called, ‘love’. He couldn’t be because for ‘love’ to exist, an object to love is required. As a singular deity he has no one to love, or anyone to reciprocate love.
YHWH is a God of love. In his triune nature he loves and receives love.
Tell me, Ibrahim, why should I not believe what Mohammed revealed in the sura above?
R Russell says
Ibrahim. A correction for your wrong understanding of Christianity.
Christianity believes in ONE YHWH God, revealed in 3 distinct persons, each with the essence of God.
The Father is not the Son or the Holy Spirit, the Son is not the Holy Spirit or the Father, the Holy Spirit is not the Father or the Son, yet all three are one in essence.
The injil, Mohammed said in sura 5 was uncorrupted, proves the what I have written is true. It is very obvious in the original Greek, not so much in English.
The injil which Mohammed said existed in sura 5 and can be traced to the present day, demonstrates that the Bible Jesus, who is a different person from the Jesus found in Islamic writings, is also a different person from his Father, but is one in essence.
Why do you not believe sura 5?

There’s no such thing as ‘islamophobia’. It is a control word used by the Left and by muslims to try and silence and shout down any criticism of islam by inferring that there is something wrong with you.
A phobia is an irrational fear or hatred. Women, jews and gays have good reason to fear islam which hates them all, it is a divisive and supremacist ideology with a track record of intolerance and actual violence, and threats of violence to anyone who dares to challenge or criticise it.
Opposition to islam is entirely, and demonstrably, rational. Indeed, given the irrationality of islam, opposition is actually a defence of rationality.

R Russell says
Ibrahim.
You cannot prove it was the original ones. Mohammed never saw the original ones. He saw the Torah and injil which were in circulation and freely available when he was alive. It was those ones which are spoken of in Sura 5.
The injil was not written by Jesus he had died, risen and ascended to heaven when the injil were written. His followers wrote the injil.
I don’t need to cherry pick. The quotations stand in their own right.
Incidentally Jesus/Joshua means Saviour. Esau means red and hairy. Thus the meanings of the names prove them to be different persons.
Jesus can be your Saviour. You don’t have to settle for just knowing ABOUT him. You can get to know him as a person. That’s the difference with Islam and Christianity. You cannot know Allah. In Christianity you can know Jesus. It’s a personal choice. Do you want to be introduced to him? Read the Gospels. They will tell you about him and how you can get to know him.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Just as an aside, it’s worth considering that mohammad, or those writing as mohammad, may never have had access to the NT in Arabic at all.
The earliest Arabic versions are dated to the late 7th – early 8th century at best, and seem to be originating in the Sinai area.
https://www.arabicbible.com/arabic-bible/codex/15-mt-sinai-arabic-codex-151.html
https://books.google.ca/books?id=ovkqmT5fy9cC&pg=PA112&lpg=PA112&dq=date+earliest+translation+IN+arabic&source=bl&ots=AXExBzIo1F&sig=ELcmfPl0wmqIpiyymG1nlwqscIk&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjFpqTOtZrYAhVB9WMKHWbAApgQ6AEIVzAE#v=onepage&q=date%20earliest%20translation%20IN%20arabic&f=false
There is also the fact that the koran shows little understanding of the NT. What references there are to any Biblical stories are likely from dealings with Jews and Christians in the area, or met while traveling. Some have reasoned that the koran’s bizarre ‘trinity’ of God, Jesus and Mary could have come from mohammad observing marian devotion, and mistaking it for worship.
There are hints that mohammad had at least heard of some of the apocryphal ‘gospels’, especially the “infancy gospel of thomas’, which attributed miracles to the infant Jesus.
It’s an interesting area to look into. It seems likely that the author of the koran simply didn’t know much about the NT, imho.
gravenimage says
You are likely correct, LeftisruiningCanada. The references in Islam to Christianity are pretty apocryphal, like the story of Jesus as a child blowing life into a clay bird.
Some of Muhammed’s observations may have come from dealing with less than orthodox sects of Christianity–but I also think he did not much care beyond a point to learn much about either Christianity or Judaism.
What most strikes me, though, is how he violently turned on both Christians and Jews when they balked at recognizing him as a new prophet.

Bring what evidence you have, and we can talk about it.
You won’t bring any evidence at all, because you don’t have any.
All the evidence that exists shows us that we have the original text of the NT.
I’m willing to back that up, as i have done in several other comment threads, all of which you have ignored completely, only to pop back up again a week later spouting your same ignorant lines.
If this is what passes for islamic apologetics (dawa), then it’s little surprise that you all turn to violence so quickly, that threats are your main answers to questions, and that those who leave islam are killed in brutal ways.
That is what everybody in the west thinks of your islam, even those who go along with helping your kind take over. That’s why they help you, in fact. In their own misguided and treasonous way, they pity you all for your obvious deficiencies, which they all can see but are too polite, and fearful, to tell you about.
We know exactly what you think of us, us who you would like to subjugate through kinds of violence which most of us in the west would be too ashamed to even think of inflicting on you in return. Your degenerate set of beliefs is so repulsive to us as a civilization, that being faced with the bizarre depths of evil you espouse, some of us have flatly denied that you can be so corrupted as your actually are.
But don’t count on that lasting forever. Our nations have shown how cruel we can be when required, though we would rather it was never needed at all – Nazism was a homegrown terrorist ideology, and we knew how bad it was just before it was too late. It was quickly and ruthlessly excised. If we can turn the blade upon our own body to cut out the festering tumor, how much more do you think we can fend off a foreign entity like islam.
Like the 7th century desert scum you strive to imitate (and you can’t even manage that very well), you will all be sent scurrying to ground a few moments after we manage to shake of the intellectual quagmire we currently find ourselves in. That confusion is the only reason islam has had a chance to invade. Our internal struggles are all that have permitted your kind access. Think about that.

you cannot have it both ways; either the Quran and texts of Islam are clear or not.
if we do read all of the Quran we will find many contradictions and then it will not be considered true that the Quran, or Islam as a whole is clear.
Quran and Islam as a whole then could be considered as contradictory, unclear, incomplete and since it is not Altered for at least 1200 years also as obsolete.
And that means that at the very least hundreds of millions of Muslims are liable to interpret Islam in the same way as Robert Spencer does
