It’s wise, good ,right fitting, proper and appropriate that President Trump recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel .
Furthermore, the Islamic agenda of many Islamic terror organizations as Hezbollah, Hamas, P.I.J. etc. of destroying the State of Israel and replacing it with an Islamic “state” is already as lost cause. This is because those Islamic groups with that goal are all fated to lose in the end. For that agenda of those Jihad terror entities are greatly overruled by the God of the Bible. For the Jewish people have every right to all of that land, including the West Bank, by Divine Right. As seen, for example, in Genesis 28:13-15. 35:48, 49. Psalms 105:7-11. 135:4. Furthermore, the Jewish people should also have that land by historic rights. As found in First Kings 4:20,21,24,25. 8:55,56.
In conclusion, the jihadists members of Hezbollah, Hamas, P.I.J. and other like-minded Islamic organizations have joined a lost cause and a bad cause.
It may even rightfully be said that the jihadists of such Islamic entities have taken up a stand for a bad cause. This is a bad cause to the extreme. The Bible instructs in much wisdom, as in “Do not stand up for a bad cause.” Ecclesiastes 8:3. [N.I.V.]

Say what you like about Trump, but the man has balls. My only disagreement with his statement today is that he referred to “three great religions.” When I taught history at the college I did I made a point of referring to Islam as a major religion but never did I call it great. Christianity and Judaism are major AND great religions and I referred to them as such. Islam is merely a major religion. I don’t know how many, if any, students picked up on the distinction I drew here, but it was important for me to make the distinction nevertheless.
Long live Israel. And may Jerusalem remain its capital till the end of time. Thank you, Mr. President.

I agree with your choice of words in your college course.
To be fair to Trump, on the other hand, he probably knows, as I’ve no doubt you know, that “great” has often been used in historical contexts merely to indicate something like “powerful”, “large”, “fearsome,” major, etc. As far as I know, there is not necessarily any contradiction between the epithet “great” being applied to a historical figure and the figure in question being a monster or a tyrant.
The usage “great” by Trump may thus be a case of strategic political ambiguity, and I forgive politicians such ambiguity provided they are moving in the right direction. It make sense sometimes to pick one’s battles rather than try to fight at every turn. As I assume you know well, effective politicians must employ ambiguity at times in order to marshal support broad enough to get anything done. Even the best president, Lincoln, employed such ambiguity (as in his use of the word “Union”). If Lincoln from the start had been absolutely radical in words and actions, he would have failed utterly as a politician. He succeeded because he slowly and steadily pushed the envelope.

Eduardo,…Intelligent people sense you’re right and it may be the pragmatic thing for world leaders to do but it does give Islam a false veneer and it makes others look like they’re bending a knee at the wrong temple e.g. look at shameful pope Francis.
Islam has sanctioned the brutal killing of non-muslims and lesser-muslims since its origin. The sanctified excuse of course is that eventually it’s “for our own good and the good of Allah – after all we all started out as muslims”. Patent nonsense by grasping, paranoid dimwits “VIOLENCE BEGINS WHERE MIND POWER ENDS” (or possibly when you meet blockheads as in the 2-state solution farce.
If, for some reason, presumably wiser heads have chosen not to designate Islam as the “cult” that it is I nonetheless would love to see Islam described more accurately – as a (MALIGNANT-“RELIGION”). The brackets are an added touch for written communication so that we can keep the two contradictory words hinged together in our otherwise misdirected thought/emotional processes.

Wellington, I consider Islam is NOT a religion. Maybe if one considers Satan a god. One of my efforts back after 9/11 I formed a petition to the useless expensive body the UN to declare Islam is NOT a religion citing many surahs from the Koran supporting my request. Of course, it died at conception.
I had to type every single word from the Koran. There were no cites to go to, to copy and paste like now.
Maybe at that time the people were not equipped with the knowledge they have now. However, NOW yes there are information all over the place but Muslims are fighting back using our civilized democratic laws for their own benefits. Add to that the perfidious mainstream media which are bought by Muslims with the petro-revenue wealth. Add to that, the fake deceptive tools (like takyya) given to the Muslims in their evil Koran. Ad to that, the naiveté of the westerners.

For First Amendment purposes, ronyvo, as to date interpreted by the Supreme Court of the United States, Islam is most definitely, indubitably, a religion. It is a waste of time to argue otherwise. Of course, it is a malevolent religion but, as i have asked before here at JW, where is it written that a religion must be good? Satanism is also a protected religion under the First Amendment.
It is my deep conviction that the proper approach to dealing with Islam is to identify it as a totalitarian ideology as well as a religion and that it should be as shunned as other totalitarian ideologies like Marxism and Nazism (which, I would remind you, are also protected belief systems under the First Amendment, though they are secular belief systems, not religious ones). Proper characterization is key and not any kind of banning or disallowance of Islam as a religion. The “Islam is not a religion” route is a road to Nowheresville. Complete waste of time.

If there wasn’t this, the mohammedan mob would find some other excuse. They *always* have an excuse.
It doesn’t matter what we (Christians and seculars) in the west do or not do, or what the Buddhists or Hindus or any other variety of not-Muslim do or not do, the Jihad is waged against us because we are not yet Muslim. Because we don’t recognise the vile mohammed, long-dead arab warlord and slave-trader and cult leader, as a ‘prophet’; because we worship another god, or no god at all. Because we have our own laws and our own – non-Muslim – rulers. That is all it takes. We are in dar al harb, region of war, just as we have been – all of the world’s infidels, from the smallest tribe in the Amazon jungle, all the way through to the civilised denizens of Tokyo or New York – ever since the arab cult of blood and war was first invented and began waging unending war upon the world.

Bravo President Trump!

As an Australian, may I say that I commend the USA on this decision; and that I expect to see the Embassy in Jerusalem, *quickly*.
I would particularly like to see it in the Jerusalem Old City, historic Jerusalem, the part that our grovellingly-Islamophile, bought-and-sold and cowardly western media primly calls ‘east Jerusalem’ or ‘arab east jerusalem’, but which just happens to be *the* part with all the oldest archaeology, all the oldest and most important Israelite, Hebrew, Jewish sacred and/ or historical sites. The massive and ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives is in ‘east’ Jerusalem. Imagine what the mohammedans would do to it, if they had total control as the Islamophiles want them to have: it would be systematically and violently vandalised (the Muslims already vandalise it, and attack mourners who go there to visit the graves).
dumbledoresarmysays
Everyone here at jihadwatch, posting or lurking, who approves this decision, MUST quickly communicate with President Trump to express support.
Americans in particular, of course; but people from other countries, such as Australia, long allied with the USA, should *also* chip in.
We who are non-American can write to the US embassies in our respective countries, expressing our approval and support, and stating that we expect the USA to stand its ground, in the face of the unseemly threats, bribes and tantrums of the – rabidly-Jew-hating – Mohammedan Mob. State that we expect to see an overwhelming-force response to any and all mohammedan attacks upon American persons and/ or property, in the USA or anywhere else, that may be ginned up with this Presidential move as the “pretext du jour”.
Let us state that we would like to see *our* heads of state, *also*, recognising Jerusalem – Jerusalem, undivided, ‘east’ as well as west! – as Israeli sovereign territory and as the capital city and seat of government of the Jewish state of Israel; and let us one and all write to those heads of state expressing our wholehearted admiration of and support for what the American President has just done, and *urging* our heads of state to exhibit a bit of backbone, defy muslim threats and bribes, and … recognise Jerusalem (Jerusalem, Old and New, East and West, Jerusalem, full stop) as Israel’s capital, and move our embassies accordingly.
(Indian Jihadwatchers – *please* encourage your PM Modi to do as the POTUS has done – and go one better – move India’s embassy to Jerusalem as soon as making the statement of recognition; it would be a *great* move and would surely flush all the worst mohammedan mobsters in India right out into the open at once.. where they could be squashed flat.)
If thousands and thousands of communications – emails, tweets, phone-calls, and most particularly and importantly, actual hand-written and signed *letters* or *cards* – flood in expressing support for what the President of the USA has just done, it should reassure the President that he has a *lot* of people right behind him.
And if those of us who are not Jewish identify ourselves as non-Jewish when we sign their note/ letter/ card/ email, then our communiques can be thrown in the faces of the idiots who howl about a ‘jewish lobby’.
Atheists – such as our own Hugh Fitzgerald, and ‘Wellington’, for example – who approve of and applaud this decision should make sure to remark, at the end, that ‘by the way, I do not profess any religion’. Similarly, Hindu Indians should remark, “signed, so-and-so, HIndu from India”. Then *those* communications can be flung in the faces of anyone opposing this decision who starts sneering about ‘bible-belt evangelical Christian Zionists”… just so’s the sneerers can know that they (sneerers) are waaaay off the mark.
