That’s true. Cf. all the “Queers Against Islamophobia” signs I see when I speak on college campuses. That Islamic teaching is not so sympathetic toward “queers” doesn’t seem to trouble them at all, even after Omar Mateen gunned down 49, just because they were Infidels.
Meanwhile, Noor Salman admitted that she knew about this jihad massacre beforehand. So why was she allowed to leave the interviews a free woman? She already fled once, right after the attack, and was missing for months. She may flee again now. Would it have been “Islamophobic” to arrest her?
“The clues that suggest wife of Pulse nightclub killer KNEW he was plotting massacre: Feds reveal she volunteered that husband ‘liked homosexuals’ even BEFORE they revealed he had murdered 49 at gay venue,” by Jennifer Smith, Dailymail.com, December 22, 2017 (thanks to the Geller Report):
The wife of the Pulse nightclub gunman apologized to FBI investigators for lying to them, said she ‘knew an attack was close’ in the days before the massacre and wished she could ‘go back to tell them’ about it before it was too late, it has been alleged.
Noor Salman, 31, the wife of Omar Mateen who was killed by a SWAT team on June 12, 2016, after slaughtering 49 people in the Orlando nightclub, allegedly made the remarks hours after the massacre.
She was being questioned by FBI agents and local police and is said to have given a written statement which authorities believe proves she knew what Mateen was planning.
Despite the alleged remarks, she was allowed to leave the interviews a free woman.
She moved to California with their young son, gave a media interview protesting her innocence and lived quietly until January this year when she was arrested for alleged involvement.
The statements are now being revealed for the first time as Salman prepares to stand trial in Florida.
They were revealed in court on Thursday at a suppression hearing. Her lawyers are trying to block them from going into evidence at her March trial.
The hearing continued on Friday but Salman did not take the stand as expected.
They say that they should not be considered by a jury because she was not in custody at the time, had not been arrested.
THE COMMENTS SALMAN’S LAWYERS WANT BLOCKED FROM TRIAL1. Before they could tell her what had happened, Salman allegedly told police Mateen is ‘careful with guns and would never hurt anybody ‘
2. She also asked if they wanted to take her to Disney World, which her husband had scouted as a location for a possible massacre but discounted
3. Without them telling her Pulse was the location of the shooting, she allegedly said her husband ‘liked homosexuals because they were sympathetic to Muslims’ – there had been news coverage of the shooting at Pulse, a gay hotspot
4. Of seeing Mateen look at Pulse’s website two days before massacre: ‘I knew at that time an attack was close’
5. ‘I’m sorry for what happened. I wish I would go back and tell police and his family what he was going to do.
‘I’m sorry I lied to the FBI, these are my own words.’ – How Salman ‘ended’ her written statement…

Once Muslims gain sufficient strength they (homosexuals) will learn, in time, the truth about Islam and homosexuality. And those lessons will be tough ones.
This attitude* is so mystifying. It’s comparable to the anti-attitude that many Jews have towards the 2d Amendment. Or the Jew who embraces the entry of more and more Muslims despite the amply documented, right in the Qur’an, hatred Muslims have for Jews.
*Some homos and Jews are “woke” and know the score. Sadly not enough.

As President-elect Donald Trump‘s administration takes shape, Star Trek alum George Takei has penned an impassioned essay imploring the country’s incoming leaders to not repeat the mistakes of the past and to use extreme caution when considering the possibility of a national Muslim registry.
-People Weekly, November 18, 2016
Outspoken as a Japanese-American gay man, George Takei started a “Stand up for Moslems” petition in order to protect “Moslem Rights” in the USA.
Because Moslems have the right to throw gay men off roofs doncha know.
LeftisruiningCanada says
I’m open to his suggestions on how he plans to avoid being thrown off a roof, because ‘muslim rights’ can only end up with them feeling they have the right to do just that.

Their “Moslem rights” are well known and called “Shariah Law”.

Omar Mateen liked GAYS??? He showed his affection by killing as many of them as possible!
His wife is spouting taqiyya.
Her silence raises the question: HOW MANY MUSLIMS IN THE WEST KNOW ABOUT COMING JIHAD ATTACKS AND ARE LOOKING THE OTHER WAY?
Jayell says
I honestly cannot understand how a specimen of Homo Sapiens with ostensibly functioning cranial equipment can, in the circumstances, cause its mouth to operate and emit such transparently ludicrous verbal garbage as….. “Mateen is ‘careful with guns and would never hurt anybody ‘”…”her husband ‘liked homosexuals because they were sympathetic to Muslims’”,…. and only when she was (surprise, surprise) put under the interrogation lamp, come out with “‘I’m sorry for what happened. I wish I would go back and tell police and his family what he was going to do”….. ‘I’m sorry I lied to the FBI, these are my own words.’”…….and then, no doubt, expect everyone to believe her implicitly and pat her on the head as one would, of course, do with any poor, misunderstood muslima victim of disgusting kuffar circumstances.
That last bit is certainly very interesting….”I’m sorry I lied to the FBI, these are my own words.”
Why does she have to add ‘these are my own words’? Because they’re obviously NOT really ‘her own words’, she knows it and we all know it, and she compounds one stupidly transparent lie with another in order to get her miserable self off the hook on the grossly insulting assumption that we’re all even more idiotic that she is?
I hope that throw the book at her at her trial – with a concealed incendiary device inside. That should save the cost of keeping her in prison for all the years she deserves.
Custos Custodum says
Remember that they now consider all of these statements to be massively damaging to the DEFENDANTS, and hence want them suppressed.
There are certain circumstances – e.g. custodial interrogation not preceded by a “Miranda” warning – where suppression of statements is more or less mandatory and the judge has little discretion in the matter.
However, judging from the quoted article, it seems the lawyers here are asking for the statements to be suppressed by the judge on a discretionary basis, i.e. the defense claims that admitting the statements into evidence would be unfair or distracting within the context of the overall trial.
Judges in these scenarios often end up “splitting the baby” to make the procedure look fair, so one would expect a few statements to be suppressed, and the balance admitted.

‘I’m sorry I lied to the FBI, these are my own words.’
That’s enough of a confession right there to do to her what the FBI did to Martha Stewart and General Flynn, and toss her in a federal slammer for lying!
Guy Forester says
Yes, how is it that Martha Stewart and Gen. Flynn did nothing that changed an election, did not destroy evidence, did not actively conceal knowledge of a terror attack, yet get prosecuted? Was it that they did not make big enough donations to the DNC?

gravenimage says
tgusa and WPM, I don’t think there is any reason to suppose that Omar Mateen was homosexual. It was just one of his buddies who said this–nothing else supports it. He only visited the club a couple of times–as I noted, this was more likely his casing the place.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Was his buddy also a muslim? Might have been his way of saying that mateen wasn’t a ‘true muslim’.

Even if the Muslims killed all queers (they call themselves queers, so it is OK for me to do that as well) but a very small group, that remaining small group will still campaign against ‘Islamophobia.’ Stupidity reigns supreme. This is not going to change. And it’s not just among the queers that stupidity is abundantly found, it’s among all humans. Most likely among other species as well. But I can’t vouch for that.

Perhaps, the reason many gays are support Radical Islam is that they are into masochism.
gravenimage says
Actually, almost no gays support “radical Islam”–the problem is that few of them understand that Islam is “radical”.
In this, gay people are like most liberals (most, but not all, gays are liberal)–they are in denial about the threat of Islam.
Sarah says
I remember a lot of talk at the time about Omar being gay himself and presumably being unable to cope with that reality given he’s a Muslim- so went and targeted the gay community in his attack.
That always felt a bit off to me, like I was hearing news of the terror attack, filtered through the lens of a member of a very stiff Protestant Church of some sort.
Hell, maybe I was wrong after all and that news was right. Maybe he really did ‘like the gays’ as she put it.
Its all a moot point now. He slaughtered those poor people, Obama worked his little heart out to obsfucate the truth and minimize the Islamic angle and the FBI fucked around for so long with this stupid evil woman. She should’ve been thrown in a hole somewhere until she was ready to talk. It probably would’ve only taken a few hours.
So now is the time to deport the wife, child and both families. Think of it like reverse chain migration.

I agree, Sarah. I believe positing him as a conflicted gay man was always intended to deflect attention from Islam.

It’s very encouraging that Noor Salman is being prosecuted. Many of the terror wives seem to be immune to prosecution. Why?
Why has Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, wife of one of the Boston Bombers, never been charged with anything? This despite the evidence her husband made the bomb in the apartment he shared with his wife.
Why has Tania Choudhury, who is very forthcoming about having been married to John Georgelas and her time in the ISIS caliphate, been allowed into the U.S.? Why has she not been charged with anything?
LeftisruiningCanada says
Because they can’t find enough eye witness statements from the people she helped behead, or the ones that she was intending to terrorize by beheading their family members.
Karen says
LOL. Actually, who knows what Choudhury did during her time in the caliphate. She could have been involved in almost anything, as other Jihad wives were. Aside from all of that speculation, why allow her into the US? She’s not a citizen and could have gone back to Britain.

What, so you’re proposing that this Moslima’s religious traditions be trampled? It’s a cultural thing. She wasn’t the mass murder, much less a terrorist, whatever that is.
The FBI has of course deferred to the needs of a victim group respected by liberals, so they’ve suspended the duty to charge her for aiding and abetting, much like they deferred to the needs of the women who initiated the Iran “Deal”, not charging her with hundreds of felony counts for the mishandling of classified information. Oh, and her <i?aide de camp is a Moslima who herself was (and is) an obvious felony suspect, but the FBI defers yet again because the aide if from a family of well known publishers of Islamic commentary.
So they all get off. And they’re all connected.
