The annual Islamophobia awards…are “genuinely dangerous” according to Trevor Phillips, the former equalities chief who popularised the term ‘Islamophobia’….The former chairman of Britain’s Equality and Human Rights Commission said the label “painted a target on the back of people on the list.
This is a fundamentally important admission by Phillips.
The “Islamophobia” subterfuge is a “thought-terminating cliche” intended to beat down critics, put a label of “blasphemy” upon them, exalt the religion of Islam above all others, and marginalize those who criticize Islam on valid grounds. The term is pushed aggressively by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and should be strongly opposed by all freedom-loving people who subscribe to the principles of human rights and equality for all. “Islamophobia” is by no means the same term as anti-Muslim bigotry. It is telling that the term “anti-Muslim bigotry” is firmly rejected by tricksters who force the “Islamophobia” canard down the throats of Westerners.
A former imam and member of the International Institute for Islamic Thought, Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, states this about the “Islamophobia” drive:
This sense of victimization has now reached a point – especially given the consistent rhetoric of groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations – that many rank-and-file Muslims now genuinely believe that they are a persecuted and oppressed group.
He goes on to warn that it is “a devious tactic, and it must not succeed”; and devious it is.
Jihad Watch has been referred to by propagandists as a “hate site,” for no valid reason, but for delivering news about jihad atrocities and the jihad threat that Islamic supremacists do not want the public to hear, from a range of news sources globally. These accusers have yet to give a valid reason why they refer to Jihad Watch as hateful. Robert Spencer was unjustly referred to by the Uk Guardian as “a leading American Islamophobe,” and in 2015, his book Arab Winter Comes to America was nominated for the Islamophobic book of the year.
The gross abuses committed in the name of Islam are what are truly hateful and reprehensible. They should be a primary concern of every individual and organization that upholds Western principles of human rights.
Trever Phillips rightly says that these “Islamophobia” “campaigns are all part of an attempt to intimidate public figures from saying anything at all about integration into our society.”
The “Islamic Human Rights Commission” should focus on Islamic abuses under the Sharia, but instead, it is busy doling out “Islamophobia awards,” with little opposition to its shameless bullying.
“Former Equality Chief: ‘Dangerous’ Islamophobia Awards ‘Paint a Target’ On Nominees’ Backs”, by Virginia Hale, Breitbart (thanks to The Religion of Peace), November 28, 2017:
The annual Islamophobia awards — previous winners of which include Breitbart London editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam — are “genuinely dangerous” according to Trevor Phillips, the former equalities chief who popularised the term ‘Islamophobia’.
The former chairman of Britain’s Equality and Human Rights Commission said the label “painted a target on the back of people on the list”, following news he was nominated for one of the “ironic” Islamic Human Rights Commission’s (IHRC) awards himself.
Other nominees put up for awards by the London-based NGO included schools watchdog Ofsted, and Dame Louise Casey, the government’s politically correct former ‘integration tsar’, who suggested more should be done to challenge “regressive religious and cultural ideologies” present in “segregated” areas of Britain in a report last year.
“Defining Louise or myself or anybody else as an Islamophobe is offering a licence to do us harm,” The Sunday Times reported Phillips as saying.
“They will say that it is just verbal and political. They know that in this world right now this is not the way some other people see it. It really isn’t a joke. It is genuinely dangerous.
“These campaigns are all part of an attempt to intimidate public figures from saying anything at all about integration into our society,” he stressed.
The chairman of the IHRC — a Shia-dominated sectarian group which has been described as a “Khomeinist” — Massoud Shadjareh, has dismissed Phillips’s concerns.
He told The Times: “We have not been contacted by any nominee or third party claiming our satirical awards have led to them being threatened either this year or in previous years.
“If any of the nominees have received any credible threats to their lives, we would advise them to do what we do when we receive similar threats from Islamophobes and racists: contact their local police for support and protection.”
In 2014, Breitbart London editor-in-chief Raheem Kassam was pronounced “clear winner” of the award in the UK category by the IHRC, which described him as a “Muslim neo-con who … [attacks] Muslim organisations and figures as extremists for defending Muslims’ rights”.
“It was a badge of honour for me to receive the ‘Islamophobe of the Year’ award a few years ago, especially given the allegiance of the award organisers,” Kassam said on Monday.
“Trevor Phillips may be right, but I sincerely hope this fake news award, with its Muslim Brotherhood-style doublespeak, continues to have a long and fruitful life.
“The longer these fifth columnists propagate Islamic blasphemy laws, the more people wake up to their theocratic fascism,” he added.
Unlike previous years, the IHRC website neglects to explain on what grounds the 2017 contenders were nominated for the awards, but Ofsted recently announced that inspectors will ask hijab-wearing primary school children why they wear the hijab, amidst concerns that some schools are forcing the conservative Muslim garment on children as young as four.
The schools’ watchdog described the nomination as “disappointing and unhelpful, particularly if it leads to flawed perceptions about what we, as an inspectorate, are trying to achieve”.
At the awards ceremony on Sunday night, British activist Tommy Robinson won the UK category award while Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi was named “International Islamophobe of the Year”, beating last year’s winner, U.S. President Donald J. Trump……

I guess Roosevelt and Churchill win the Naziphobe award.

It was of course a different time when people knew right from wrong. Today Hitler would push Naziism as a persecuted religion.

Terry, Churchill was decried for being anti-Fascist before WWII. He was castigated as “hysterical” and even as a “warmonger”.
Not so different from today with Islam.

Churchill was a political outcast, and was called a warmonger and the like, until his predictions came true. Only then he gained recognition and respect for his realistic assessment of the Nazi threat. The West hasn’t changed that much.

These Islamophobia awards are outrageous. I ought to be the winner of the uk and the international every year if there was any fairness in them. http://www.IslamHoax.com http://www.BecomeATerrorist.com

Speaking for myself, I have never been inspired to “hate” anybody. The accusations are phoney. The only thing I have ever gleaned from Jihadwatch.org is a relentless and consistent criticism of Islam based on factual conflation of written doctrine and corresponding behaviors and physical actions. The politics of the Islamic majority world become transparent only when you examine the core ideology. Criticism of doctrine is the foundation of western thinking. If we give up our tenets to avoid offending a religious ideology, and self censor, then we fall back into a darker age of intellectual dishonesty. I’m glad to see that Trevor Phillips places the value of critical thinking above the absolute protection of a supremacist theocratic ideology.

Talking about the ‘islamophobia’ subterfuge, and particularly with respect to the latest Theresa May/Donald Trump debacle, here is an extract from an open letter to Mrs. May publicised on the UK internet from a retired UK police officer with a very good knowledge of UK law. Unlike the vacillating and self-serving Mrs May, this gentleman is very much in contact with grassroots public opinion and speaks for the self-respecting and perceptive majority in the UK, whereas May et al (including the horrendous BBC) most definitely do NOT.
“Rt Hon Teresa May MP
10 Downing Street

30_11-2017
Ref President Trump and Europe
Dear Theresa,
Your job is to represent the best interests of the natural born subjects of Her Majesty. President Trump is the legally elected leader of the United States of America. How he governs the United States is none of your business unless it impacts upon Her Majesty’s Kingdom. Take careful note it is Her Majesty’s Kingdom, not yours. You are merely a Member of Parliament with a posh job. I am aware that Islam and the liberal snowflakes do not like President Trump but be aware that the majority of thinking natural born subjects of Her Majesty actually support President Trump fully. So leave him alone. It is not your job to undermine a LAWFULLY ELECTED HEAD OF STATE, so mind your own business. You can also leave President Putin alone for the same reasons.
Which brings me to my second point. Since when was Sharia law part of the law of Her Majesty’s Kingdom ? If you push Sharia law in this country you commit treason contrary to the 1351 Treason Act. It carries a very severe penalty. And I am not alone in making this point. Criminally, the Britain First leadership are being prosecuted for resisting imposition of Sharia in Her Majesty’s Kingdom. I would remind you they are pursuing a legal duty to resist the imposition of foreign law in Britain. Their prosecution constitutes an unlawful act and high treason contrary to the above act which is supreme above any other Act on race relations or religious freedom. Anyone and everyone resisting the imposition of Sharia in Her Majesty’s Kingdom is carrying out a legal obligation to defend the honour and dignity of Queen Elizabeth II. You should be too.”
He then goes on to berate May about her lamentable performance in the Brexit matter.
If President Trump gets round to reading this, I apologise for May. Hardly anyone in the UK actually elected her to be PM, and the open letter you see above is what very many (if not most) people in the UK actually think.

“Defining Louise or myself or anybody else as an Islamophobe is offering a licence to do us harm.”
Yes. And that’s what the likes of CAIR, the SPLC and Stanford do to courageous freedom fighters like Robert Spencer and Ayan Hirsi Ali. This is a none too subtle dog whistle to terrorists to do whatever is necessary to silence them.

Trevor Phillips is now denouncing the Frankenword “Islamophobe” which he helped to popularize and taught to walk.
Trevor Phillips will now have to kill the Frankenword monster if he is a man of integrity.

Unfortunately Robert Spencer applies the “Frankenword” to himself.

He uses it sarcastically. Surely you do not think those behind these “awards” are doing the same?

Good point, Mortimer. Still, I am glad that Phillips is speaking out now, no matter how belatedly.

You could be onto something with that suggestion.
Maybe we could hand out Dhimmi diplomas too.

Long time readers hear at Jihad Watch will remember these awards:
“Dhimmi of the Year Awards”
Last night I announced, somewhat on the spur of the moment, that nominations were open for two awards: the American Dhimmi of the Year 2005 and the Dhimmi Internationale 2005. These should, of course, be those who behaved in the most pusillanimous, abject, and/or suicidally stupid ways in the face of Islamic jihadist bullying and intimidation, peaceful or violent.
We also plan to award the American Anti-Dhimmi Prize for 2005, and the Anti-Dhimmi Internationale 2005…
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2005/12/dhimmi-of-the-year-awards
These continued for a number of years, and I always looked forward to them. I hope Robert Spencer decides to reinstate them at some point. The slate came out every year at about this time.
Naildriver says
And just over a column there are these same traitors claiming right-wing white-supremacists are behind all these objections to Islam.
Yes, as another above has noted the designation of Islamophobe and ‘shaming ‘ publicly, that person is tantamount to asking murderers from Islam to kill them — as we have seen in Garland Texas, with the Draw Mohammed contest. The mainstream media is still in denial concerning its treason and complicity with this nations enemy; even sectors of government have become confused such as the FBI and pockets of law enforcement across the country. Those who maintain the ‘terrorist ‘ mantra are overlooking a very serious flaw in their thinking, besides the absurdity in calling ‘terrorism’ or any method in war an identifiable enemy, and that’s Islam, as daunting a foe as it is, is indeed our enemy.

You’ve got to love this admission from Phillips coming only after he had been cast in with our lot.
Just goes to show you, Trev, ol’ chum: No matter how much islamo-butt you smooch, it’s not going to win you any brownie points; a lesson western governments should be starting to pick up on about now. (Fat chance!)
I would imagine Ayaan Hirsi Ali has been up for nomination, right? Oops! That’s right- there’s no need at this point: She already has a death fatwa issued against her -to end her life- for daring to criticize sharia and islam!
mummymovie says
The awards themselves should be criminalized for the mere fact that they undoubtedly direct would-be violent blasphemy law and sharia-enforcing murderers to their targets.
So, the term ‘islamophobia’ “should be strongly opposed by all freedom-loving people who subscribe to the principles of human rights and equality for all.
Agreed.
But what is the best way to go about this? Any specific suggestions outside of personal opposition?
